Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved However, the business has made statements in its response that are not accurate The business stated that I had failed to show up for an appointment where they were going to discuss the refund I had cancelled that appointment weeks prior to its schedule,(the appointment was only to look at the crowns that were placed), and even after I wrote a letter to the business terminating my relationship with them, and demanding a refund, they did not respond or send me a refund until they received the complaint I filed against them with the Revdex.com
Regards,
*** ***

Dear Revdex.com,I am astounded at the response from the businessThe UNTRUTHS and omission they left out are many. First of all, I did have insurance when we started the procedure and I did in person and via phone tell them I would no longer have insurance to finish the procedureIt’s amazing that they didn’t document these conversations and are using the emails as the only proof as they are stating. I called them to set up an appointment to finish the procedureJulie P***, the office manager, stated via phone that I would owe nothing for the rest of the procedure because my insurance would cover itI, again, at that time told her I did not have insurance and needed to know how much money was needed to complete the procedureShe said she would call me back with that informationWhen she did call me back, I told her that I had enough on my Credit Care Card and asked her to call them and authorized her to charge the total amount to the cardI specifically stated I would have to wait to complete the procedure if there was not enough available on the card This is how I know that she is not telling you the whole storyWhy would she call me back and tell me the amount to complete the procedure was charged to my cardShe then told me I still had more credit available on the card still and I had not maxed out the credit care card when she charged what the procedures total cost was. I had a couple more conversations with Julie before the procedure was done, and each time she would tell me that I would owe nothing because my insurance would pay the restI AGAIN told her that I no longer had insuranceI guess she didn’t look in my file or just didn’t document the conversations we had via the phone. The day of the procedure, before my husband went in, I made sure all was complete with the payment made from my cardAGAIN, I was told I would owe nothing because my insurance would pay the restI AGAIN stated that I DID NOT HAVE INSURANCEShe then looked in the computer and it still did not state that I no longer had insuranceI asked if they showed the payment they took out of my card to pay , in total, for the procedureShe stated it showed the payment so everything was fine. As we were leaving I stopped at the front desk again and ask about the price of a cleaningI was AGAIN told that I would owe nothing because my insurance would pay for itI AGAIN told them I had no insuranceThey gave me a cost of the cleaning and I told them I would think about it.How many times do I have to tell a business something, and they DO NOT document it??? They only time payments were brought up, was when I received the bill for over $I was so confused about this bill as I had paid what they told me was the complete and total bill for the procedure. Julie told me I need to pay the total amountI told her there was no way I could pay them that amount all at once, even if I owed it, WHICH I DIDN’TShe then stated that because of the misunderstanding they would give me a 10% discount and the bill was now under $, but I would need to pay it immediately. I told her there was absolutely no way that could happenI asked her to please look into this further and the only response I received was that I owed them the money and if I didn’t pay it within a certain time frame it would be turned over to collections.I am so very upset about this issue as Winterholler Dentistry is not telling the truth and I have no recourseI tried to reason with them but you can’t talk to a closed door. Thank you for your time and assistance with this problem.*** ***

The Patient has received a refund prior to this complainat for treatment that was completed but the patient ended up having tooth extracted She also received a credit on her accountThe patient failed to show up for last appointment, which we were planning on discussing treatment that was
rendered and all the charges to see if she was due any more of a refund
As of today,*** was sent a final refund and we consider this matter closed
Her total refunds were total of $

Dear Revdex.com,I have tired of these LIES that Winterhollar Dentistry's office
manager is telling youI feel I have given the Revdex.com and Winterholler all the
factsThe TRUE facts. These three fact should tell you who is not “remembering”
correctlyI would not have made the appointment if I did not have the entire funds to complete the procedure because Winterholler would not have let me do soThey make it perfectly clear they must have full payment at time of the procedureThe office manager called and charged the amount needed to pay for the procedure in fullShe then called me and told me all was taken care and the procedure was paid in fullIf that was not the total amount charged to the card then why did she tell me there was still funds available on my card even after the total amount needed was chargedWhen I called before scheduling the final appointment I asked her
how much the final procedure would be, I was AGAIN told there would be no
charge because my insurance would cover itFor the umpteen time, I told her I
NO LONGER HAD INSURANCEWhy, then would she call the charge the card to make
sure I had enough to for funds to complete the procedure?? I would NOT have
scheduled the appointment if I did not have the funds and I told her that on
that phone callNothing else needs to be saidShe made a mistake and she DID NOT do the correct documentation
changes in my husband’s file that stated “NO INSURANCE”How many times do you
have to tell someone you no longer have insurance before anyone listens to
you???? And, YES, I did on many occasions; tell the office I no longer had
insurance. The facts still remain the same, I informed the office many times
I no longer had insuranceShe is not being truthful with you. The fact that she is just now bring up the HIPAA
Privacy Laws should
tell you something in itselfShe knows she is wrong and is grasping at
anything to make you believe her. I
don’t know if she is afraid of losing her job because of her mistake or whatThe
facts alone should tell you who is being truthful. One of the main reasons I involved the Revdex.com was that I didn’t want
to see anyone else to go through traumatic, stressful problemThank you for your time.Sincerely*** ***

Upon walking into Winterholler Dentistry, I was immediately impressedThe office was clean and comfortableThere was coffee for the guests to help themselves, and an inviting atmosphereThe front desk ladies were helpful and professionalThe hygienist, Nicole, called me back almost immediately and made me feel at easeShe showed me to the room, all the while making friendly conversationShe explained each step, as she preformed it, and I was very impressed with my through cleaningIn all the years of getting my teeth cleaned, and ex rayed, I don't believe anyone has done a better jobI was also impressed with Dr Patrice W***, who was super friendly and professional as well! I will be telling all of my friends and family about this dentist practice, and especially about Nicole!!!!

We corresponded with the patient's wife regarding the estimated out of pocket in August on via emailIn the email we specifically inquire about the insurance coverage; the response we received from her indicated the insurance was still activeThe services were provided at the end of August
In January 2017, we discussed payment options for the balance due, including discounting the amount due if the patient and his wife would authorize automatic payments to be processed by credit card each monthWe received no authorization to do soThe patient's wife insisted on the balance being written offThe Financial Agreement signed by patients at registration states that patients are responsible for services provided regardless of insurance statusOur front desk staff is well-trained and had the patient or his wife specifically stated at any time that insurance was inactive, we would have immediately revised the financial arrangements for payment in full for the services providedOur office provides an estimate of benefits, however we do not guarantee at any time what insurance will or will not cover under any circumstances. Our office tried to recifiy the account balance amicably, but when the account holder was unwilling to accept responsibility for the balance due on the service provided we had no choice but to send the account to a collections agency

We are very sorry that Mrs. [redacted] feels that we are responding with false information and omissions. Unfortunately, due to the HIPAA Privacy laws we are unable to provide supporting documentation to be published on the Revdex.com website regarding the communication on this account without written consent from the patient and the complainant. I understand that Mrs. [redacted] believes she informed our office that insurance was no longer active, however under no circumstances would our office staff would have ignored or disregarded that information. There are definite discrepancies in Mrs. [redacted]'s recollection of the communication and our record of phone calls and emails. As stated previously, we provide an estimate of dental benefits when dental insurance is involved and do not guarantee that a bill is paid in full, until after insurance has processed the claim. At no time would we have guaranteed Mrs. [redacted] that the $520.00 paid was "payment in full" for the services provided totaling $1805.00. Our financial agreement, which was signed by Mrs. [redacted], states "You are responsible for payment in full regardless of the interpretation of what is usual and customary by a given insurance company. We allow thirty days for insurance claims to be honored. At the end of that time, payments must be made on all unpaid balances regardless of insurance status. Should my account become delinquent, I agree to pay reasonable collection costs, attorney fees and courts costs as permitted by law if such are incurred by this office."Mrs. [redacted] states in her Revdex.com complaint that she has "no problem paying something I owe...". In summation, the charges in dispute are from services provided and are legitimately owed.

The staff at Dr. W[redacted]'s office are very friendly and professional. I have met both Doctors and would recommended either to family and friends. Everyone was very knowledgeable and educated me on the treatment I need. This is a great office!

I had an All-In-Four completed over a year ago and have nothing but praise for the service and professionalism displayed by Dr. Chris and his entire staff.

Started in January 2016. I have an upper implant denture made by another dentist that works great. But, my lower removable bridge was giving me trouble and I decided to ask a local dentist, Dr. W[redacted], if he could make me another bridge. He discouraged me from trying this and told me he had a great implant denture product he could put in. I went home to think about it, then made another appointment to come in and talk with him to get information about his implant denture process. Went in for consultation appt. on two types of dental implants Chris W[redacted] does, the removable and the fixed type. Appt. was to be with Dr. W[redacted]. I know you sign consent forms that protect the dentists from problems down the road, so I wanted specific information about the implants he put in before I gave him over $8000 in CASH. I wanted to know what specific problems might or could occur with both types of implants. I get to the office and Dr. W[redacted] decided he would not participate in the consultation but sent his assistant in to speak with us and answer questions. I said I wanted Dr. Winterholler. The staff person ushered me into a room and said his assistant was authorized to speak for him and knew all the answers to questions about the implants and the service. Wife and I then spoke to his assistant and asked TWICE what possible problems might occur with the fixed implants and the removable implants. She stated that sometimes bone grafts had to be done to make the implants work. I asked again, what other problems might occur and she said none, that only bone graft problems could occur and that Dr. W[redacted] could fix that. She said he guaranteed his work and that she'd never seen a person have a problem with his work that he didn't fix. We also asked her what the main differences were between the fixed and the removable implant dentures and she said that there was really no difference, only that one could be removed and they were the same quality. During the consultation, Dr. W[redacted] walked past the window with a cup of coffee, looked at us and kept walking. I finished speaking with his assistant, and gave W[redacted] over $8000 out of our savings. Seven months later I am without any lower teeth/implant denture. I have had 12 or more appointments, gone through relines, relines (goop smeared onto implant denture); trimming the implant denture (which ruined it as then food can creep up under the implant denture and your gums; more relines, denture popping out when I eat a soft dinner roll... then after much complaining, Dr. W[redacted] tried to craft a second implant denture and after several trial and error fittings and fixes, this second implant denture is actually worse than the first one. It will FALL OUT of my mouth without even biting on things, just when I go to speak. About three months into the work, W[redacted] informed me that there would be lots of trial and errors, re-do's, relines, and many months trying to make it work with tighter locator cups, endless adjustments, etc. He admitted in an email to me that he did not tell me these things at the beginning, when I asked for this information. The only recourse if the removable implant dentures do not ever work, is to upgrade to the fixed implant dentures for another $10,000. After 7 months and over $8000, and after he withheld complete information about possible problems, I have gone to another dentist to start from scratch. This implant dentist made my upper implant denture and it fit perfectly the first time he put it in and has worked great for two years. Fits and stays in place. He is now going to start over and make a lower implant denture at a cost of over $10,000. Winterholler keeps saying he will do this and try that (he doesn't want me to file a complaint) but I am 67 years old and have lost 28 lbs. because I cannot eat. I have sores on my gums, my teeth fall out, and I am now being treated by an Ear/Nose/Throat doctor for a swallowing disorder that can be a result of poorly fitting dentures. I will have to sell one of our cars to have enough money to pay the second dentist. When I started complaining, W[redacted] became ugly and sarcastic. He tried to conjure up reasons why this is MY fault. He gives about ten options on how he can fix this, but I am out of weight to lose and out of confidence and trust in this provider after seven months of nothing working. The other dentist has said he won't use any of the methods Winterholler previously tried because they haven't worked, TWICE. Beware of this dentist - get everything in writing and search the internet sites for dental reviews to see for yourself... and the Revdex.com..... before you use this provider. I am posting so maybe others won't have to have the experience I have had. You can email me to see a video of my lower implant denture FALLING OUT OF MY MOUTH. SR

The staff at Dr. W[redacted]'s office are very friendly and professional. I have met both Doctors and would recommended either to family and friends. Everyone was very knowledgeable and educated me on the treatment I need. This is a great office!

I spent 8 years putting band aids on my dental problems mostly because the 5 dentists I had prior to Dr Winterholler never gave me a long term plan. 8 years, lots of pain, and wasted money. I had seen at least four other specialists and went to Mexico before I chose this doctor. I spent almost 2 years researching and trying to plan my escape from being 35 years old and toothless. I had surgery less than 2 weeks ago. It was a piece of cake but only because of this office. Everyone is educated, non judge mental and caring. I know that tons of people have the same issue. Go see Dr Winterholler for yourself and you will understand. He changed my life ????

YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF to consult with Dr. [redacted] BEFORE you make a decision on how to proceed, should you be in need of dental assistance.
I have had dental issues for as long as I can remember, starting with dozens of cavities as a young child, and root canals and extractions in the late 1990s. What I didn't know was that the absence of teeth results in loss of bone - "resorption" - fairly rapidly. By the time I started looking for a permanent fix to my dental issues in late 2014, I was in deep trouble.
I consulted with a number of dentists, prosthodontists and oral maxillofacial surgeons, both locally in[redacted], Arizona and with international leaders in the field, including [redacted] in [redacted] who "authored" the All on 4 dental implant technique.
They were unanimous in their opinions. Prognosis for the remaining teeth - upper and lower - was extremely poor and the remaining teeth should be removed so the advanced periodontal disease could be dealt with. The proposed solutions varied - ranging from the "classic" approach of sinus lift surgery to replace the bone at the rear of the upper jaw, and full arch implants over an 18 month period, to the "All-on-4" technique which would deal with removal of the teeth, the placement of the implants, and the installation of temporary upper and lower prostheses all during a single procedure.
The first decision to make was which approach to take. Three weeks of significant research, including long term success rates, possible complications, etc. led me to the conclusion that the "All-on-4" approach was the best for me - even though due to my severe bone loss I would need two zygomatic implants in the rear of the upper jaw.
The next, and most important decision to make, was who would be the best provider to do the procedure. Once again, research time. Online reviews, qualifications, articles authored, teaching other dental professionals, pretty much any information I could obtain on the eight candidates on my short list.
It came down to a choice of two. [redacted] in[redacted], and [redacted] in[redacted] had been to [redacted] to train with[redacted], and was very well experienced with cases such as mine, having performed hundreds of "All-on-4s" over the past several years here in [redacted].
The selection process was grueling - and I have no intention of bashing any of the local candidates - but what I will state, CATEGORICALLY, is that YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF to consult with Dr. [redacted] BEFORE you make a decision on how to proceed, should you be in need of dental assistance.
There is NO FEE for the consultation, and Dr. [redacted] and his staff will take as much time as is needed to make sure all of your questions are answered, and that you fully understand your situation and the proposed treatment plan. I chose to have [redacted] do my procedure. Tuesday, January 13th saw me arrive at the [redacted] (an excellent facility) bright and early at 6am. The procedure was underway by 730am and I was awake and walking out of the facility some 7 hours later - with - as promised - upper and lower full arches!
My wife and my father are both very impressed with the results - telling me how great my new teeth look - and encouraging me to smile. :-)
Those that know me, know that I'm very objective when it comes to evaluating service providers, and it's extremely rare for me to deliver high praise on every aspect of an experience with a medical provider, but [redacted] Dentistry truly deserves the highest praise I can give them. Their facilities are convenient. Their technology is state-of-the-art. Their staff treats you like best friends. As another reviewer stated on [redacted] "Once you have been here there is no need to look anywhere else." I wholeheartedly agree!

The Patient has received a refund prior to this complainat for treatment that was completed but the patient ended up having tooth extracted . She also received a credit on her account. The patient failed to show up for last appointment, which we were planning on discussing treatment that was...

rendered and all the charges to see if she was due any more of a refund.

As of today,[redacted] was sent a final refund and we consider this matter closed.

Her total refunds were total of $3148.00.
