I have since had the phone repaired by Verizon for another $150.00. I have since found out that Wireless Coty has a HORRIBLE reputation. Like most customers, I usually just don't go back to businesses such as this, that have zero integrity. They don't have Revdex.com complaints because most customers just decide to move on. If guess my next step will have to be taking this man to court to recoup my money.

Dear Revdex.com, I am the manager of an electronics repair shop in Horseheads, NY called Wireless City. We received a complaint from the Revdex.com with the ID of [redacted]. We received this complaint a few weeks ago but weren’t sure how to respond as we have never received a...

complaint before. It was decided to respond to the complaint via letter detailing our account of our experience with the customer that filed the complaint. On Saturday May 16th we had a customer come in and ask to have their son’s iphone 6 screen repaired. We replaced the screen with a new one which we order from a company called Maya Network located in California. In order to replace the screen on an iphone 6 we have to take the phone apart to disconnect the screen, connect the new one, and put the phone back together. If you would like a more detailed example of this process please feel free to watch a youtube video demonstration. One such demonstration can be found at the URL http://youtu.be/l5hplfGVTEo. After we fixed the phone the customer signed paperwork saying that the phone was fixed and working. The customer then has us install a tempered glass screen protector, which is an extra sheet of glass put on the phone to prevent future screen cracks. We also order our tempered glass from Maya Network in California. Feel free to research this product further if you have questions. On Monday May 18th the customer that had their son’s phone repaired came back in with the phone cracked again. As well as the screen being cracked her son had also fractured the tempered glass screen protector we installed on the phone. Needless to say, after just having the phone repaired the customer was upset that it was broken again in such a short period of time, which is understandable. The customer claimed that her son did not drop his phone again and therefore the screen and glass screen protector breaking should be our responsibility due to an error during the repair, therefore we should fix it again free of charge. Because of what it would cost him, we explained to the customer that she had to get that approved with the owner of our store Volkan Taner.  Eventually the customer did speak to Volkan and he refused to fix it for free because he felt that we shouldn’t be responsible for the broken phone. Evidently after being told this the customer decided to file a complaint with the Revdex.com detailing her dissatisfaction. Mr.Taner refused to fix the broken phone because we have never seen a phone that we have repaired crack without some type of impact to the screen, which we are not responsible for. Even if that was a possibility, it wouldn’t explain why the tempered glass screen protector was also broken. We are not sure what happened to the phone to cause the break, but we do know that it was not because of our repair and therefore we shouldn’t be responsible for it. In the letter the customer sent to the Revdex.com they explain that they believe their son did not drop his phone because he has is a responsible and honest teenager and he says he did no drop it. However, this does not increase the likelihood of the phone breaking spontaneously. We are a reputable company and in 10 years of operation this is our first Revdex.com complaint. We try to keep our company honest and take good care of our customers. In an effort to settle the dispute Mr.Taner has agreed that we will be willing to fix the phone again at cost. The price that we purchase the screens for varies from week to week but whatever the price is at the time that the customer comes in is what we will charge. Thank you Sincerely,  Julianne M[redacted], manager of Wireless City
