Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I am not disputing the extra sq feet of material I am asking for $to cover half of the cost of the sink that they damaged while in their procession This was a brand new sink purchased on 7/25/ and delivered to my house on 7/28/ When the sink arrived I opened the box and then the Styrofoam, and then the bag the sink was in and looked it over There were no marks/blemishes/scratches I delivered the sink to the store on 8/16/in perfect condition (If there had been a problem, I would have had plenty of time to get a replacement, why would keep a damaged sink) Sometime after I delivered the sink and the completion of the installation, Wisconsin Granite Design damaged it It could have been done at the store or during installation The sink was sitting in the bottom of the sink cabinet right side up during installation They were cutting the granite and drilling holes around it Debris could have easily been in the sink and the installers tried to wipe it out or it could have been damaged at their store when they used the sink for fabrication As to my other issues I brought up in the initial complaint: I signed a final invoice approving the sq feet and approved the layout, which clearly showed the ONE SEAM in the granite counter top It is EXTREMELY bad business to call the customer after the fact and say you never approved that and that it is going to cost me more money Very unprofessional You sent me the final invoice to approve all charges which I did The granite does not touch the wall in multiple locations I was told with the laser measure the counter would fit perfectly There are places that there is more than 1/inch gap and items can fall behindAnd the owner would not leave my house until I called and paid the remaining balance I did not sign the completion documentation because of the damage to my sink, I wanted the issue resolved When I called the store they said they would call me back The owner ended up just showing up at my house without any warning (this is not okay) He stood in my kitchen I told him that I would call [redacted] as soon as he left and he told me to call her now and make the payment He would not leave the house It made me very uncomfortable I even had a discussion with [redacted] on the phone regarding it I asked her to immediately process the payment so I could get him out of my house He kept making excuses for everything.I have invoices that I can show for the sink I am requesting the money for half of the sink that they damaged I am not asking them to recut and reinstall the countertop sections that are off I am not asking them to come back out and glue the countertop to the cabinets Please let me know if I need to provide you with anything else Regards, [redacted]

scratch on her sink. As a business owner, I run at job site and did inspection right away. I showed her more than 20-25 scratches almost everywhere and I told her that it might come as is and contact to manufacturer. She asked me how to take care of? I said I do not know how to fix it but I gave her sink manufacturer contact information to get help.  Customer had extra 3 square foot after final measurement and she was informed and got her approval about it with her signature. Even all calculation was based on two seams, we make one  seam for sake of her satisfaction and waived $250 handling fee.  I never said that I would not leave without payment from her house. Based on our contract, she was supposed to make final payment after completion of installation and I just asked nicely to get final payment and she called our showroom to make a payment and she did. I am not disputing the extra 3 sq feet of material.  I am asking for $150.00 to cover half of the cost of the sink that they damaged while in their procession.  This was a brand new sink purchased on 7/25/16  and delivered to my house on 7/28/16.  When the sink arrived.  I opened the box and then the Styrofoam, and then the bag the sink was in and looked it over.  There were no marks/blemishes/scratches.  I delivered the sink to the store on 8/16/16 in perfect condition.  (If there had been a problem, I would have had plenty of time to get a replacement, why would keep a damaged sink)  Sometime after I delivered the sink and the completion of the installation, Wisconsin Granite Design damaged it.  It could have been done at the store or during installation.  The sink was sitting in the bottom of the sink cabinet right side up during installation.  They were cutting the granite and drilling holes around it.  Debris could have easily been in the sink and the installers tried to wipe it out or it could have been damaged at their store when they used the sink for fabrication.  As to my other issues I brought up in the initial complaint:1.  I signed a final invoice approving the 3 sq feet and approved the layout, which clearly showed the ONE SEAM in the granite counter top.  It is EXTREMELY bad business to call the customer after the fact and say you never approved that and that it is going to cost me more money.  Very unprofessional.  You sent me the final invoice to approve all charges which I did. 2.  The granite does not touch the wall in multiple locations.  I was told with the laser measure the counter would fit perfectly.  There are places that there is more than 1/8 inch gap and items can fall behind3. And the owner would not leave my house until I called and paid the remaining balance.  I did not sign the completion documentation because of the damage to my sink, I wanted the issue resolved.  When I called the store they said they would call me back.  The owner ended up just showing up at my house without any warning (this is not okay).  He stood in my kitchen.  I told him that I would call [redacted] as soon as he left and he told me to call her now and make the payment.  He would not leave the house.  It made me very uncomfortable.  I even had a discussion with [redacted] on the phone regarding it.  I asked her to immediately process the payment so I could get him out of my house.  He kept making excuses for everything.I have invoices that I can show for the sink.  I am requesting the money for half of the sink that they damaged.  I am not asking them to recut and reinstall the countertop sections that are off.  I am not asking them to come back out and glue the countertop to the cabinets.  Please let me know if I need to provide you with anything else.

Review: The sign outside Wisconsin Granite Depot on S. 27th St in Oak Creek WI says that they have "no hidden charges". I went to the store, chose a stone, recieved a quote and specifically asked if the price of $79.00 per sq ft installed included all delivery and installation charges. I was assured by [redacted] (one of the ownders) that the price of the stone included all fabrication, delivery and installation charges. However when I got the sencond bill it had a $250.00 manpower/handling fee on it. I went to the store to discuss this with [redacted] (another one of the owners) and he said that because it was an upstairs apartment and also because I had seamless pieces it should have been a $500.00 charge (because there were two large pieces) but that he would give me half off the second piece. I left with a larger hidden fee than when I went in. The day of installation came with more frusturation, the installers could not (or would not) fix a piece of stone that appeared to be cut with a crescent shape in it so they said they would have to call the owner. [redacted] arrived and tried to tell us that it was the stone bending that made the piece look like it was cut improperly. He also made a comment about my appearance that made me feel that he was not giving me the best service because based on my appearance I did not deserve it. The sign in front of Wisconsin Granite Depot is a complete lie and they do not admit that they have decieved people.Desired Settlement: I would like the $375.00 that I paid in manpower and handling fees refunded and for Wisconsin Granite Depot to take down the sign outside that says "no hidden fees" because it is decietful. Also, it would be in their customers' best interest for them to be up-front about any additional charges they could incur throughout the fabrication, delivery, and installation process.

Response:

We at Wisconsin Granite Depot proudly have nine successful years of granite fabrication and installation. Our granite projects can vary from small bathroom projects to projects that are the size of a slab of granite. Each kitchen we encounter, each house we encounter, has different requirements and opportunities in order for us to deliver granite into someone's home. Some may have 2 simple steps in which to carry a very large and heavy pieces of granite, others, like in this case, many steps up to a second story and we do not consider this a "normal" installation. It was in the best interest of the health and safety of our installers to send additional installers and the most qualified installers also to be able to safely deliver her granite to the second level of her home. The installers faced other challenges, not only the stairs but also a difficult angle to maneuver, they had to carry all their heavy equipment and supplies up to the second level in order to complete the installation. It is only fair to factor in all the additional time and manpower necessary to complete the work. There are no hidden charges. At any point, we allow our customers to cancel an order providing we have not fabricated the granite. We are sorry [redacted] is not satisfied with our store policy but we are proud of the work we do and her finished kitchen is beautiful.

We recently remodeled our entire kitchen and we decided we needed beautiful granite as the crowning glory of our project. We looked at several other showrooms and we were the most impressed with WGD's selection of beautiful choices and price ranges. We went back several times to their pleasant store just to look at and weigh all of our options. They even let us in after hours to look things over, which we really appreciated!
We ended up working with [redacted] who was very pleasant and knew her stuff. Lead time on our project was reasonable and the design team did a great job with the layout of our slabs (we put it all in their hands, they are the professionals!) A team came and measured our kitchen surfaces with laser equipment and a week or so later our product was installed. The granite itself is breathtaking and the install was flawless and quick. Everyone we worked with was friendly and professional.
The only cons in our whole experience was a slight lack of communication between the office personnel. Several times it was us informing them of changes that had been already discussed if we weren't talking with our usual representative, [redacted] There was a small error on the invoice for something we had told them we didn't need, but being a smart customer, I simply looked it over before I paid them. Once again, I think due to a lack of communication.
All in all I would highly recommend this company for their good service, selection, convenience of location, and our overall satisfaction.

Review: About 4 years ago Wisconsin Granite Depot installed granite counter tops in my kitchen. Everything seemed fine. This last week a home inspector came to inspect the house for sale. The inspector found the granite counter top on the kitchen island had not been glued down. I called Wisconsin Granite and asked them to stop when convenient to glue it down. They insisted they had glued it down and would charge me $350. There is no sign of glue on the granite or wood.Desired Settlement: To simply glue the counter top down to satisfy the new buyer of the house.

Response:

This complaint is not valid. We installed the countertop 4 years ago. We provide a 1 year warranty on our installation. That warranty expired 3 years ago.

Response:

My experience with Wisconsin Granite Depot was spectacular. I looked everywhere in southern Milwaukee for a company that would demolish, fabricate and install custom granite and cabinets in my home but I couldn't find anyone who provided all three services until I stumbled upon Wisconsin Granite Depot. The designers provided me creative insight that really helped bring my kitchen to life. I want to personally thank [redacted] and his team for such a wonderful service!

Be very wary of this granite company. We signed a contract with Wisconsin Granite Depot to have them place new granite countertops for our kitchen remodel. After we worked out a final agreement with them, they came to our home and measured, we paid ½ of what was due and we were ready for the installation. As part of the process, we went to the store to approve the final layout. Upon leaving the store, after approving the counter layout (that THEY laid out and we did not change at all), we were informed by our sales rep that we would need to pay an additional $2500 before they would do the job. We were not prepared to pay that additional amount of money (seeing as we had signed a contract and paid ½ of the final amount already) so we told them that we would like our money back and we would just have to start over with someone else, even though that was going to set back our construction by a few weeks. They refused to refund our money and refused to do the job as specified in the contract for the amount that was agreed upon by both parties. After many phone calls and e-mails back and forth they finally agreed to return most of our down payment if we agreed to not tell anyone about our negative experience with them. We did not agree with that stipulation so we turned it over to our credit card company who stopped payment and after their investigation they sided with us. In the end, we ended up about 6 weeks behind on our kitchen construction, went with a different granite company, and Wisconsin Granite Depot never did return our money. Buyer beware!!!!

I had a wonderful experience with Wisconsin Granite Design. My kitchen was small but they took time and effort to show me around there showroom. The selection is like nothing I have seen before. Employees are very friendly and helpful. I was happy to be told it would be only a couple of weeks turn around time. The installation was great. I was expecting a lot of mess but the installers were clean and tidy. My countertops look beautiful. Thank you Wisconsin Granite Design.

My wife and I are very pleased with the experience working with Wisconsin Granite Depot and our consultant Joyce. It can be overwhelming to pick out the granite as there are so many choices, but Joyce was very helpful in helping us to make our selection. I do sense that the people who work for this company take great pride in their work and want to provide a finished product that is to the customers satisfaction. The people who came to measure and create the template offered some suggestions that we are glad they did and our acceptance to their suggestions made for an outstanding finished product. The person who did the layout did a great job showcasing the color in the granite in all the right places. The installers did a great job of putting it all together, were very courteous and respected that their workshop was our home. Very good experience and would recommend this company to others.

We are very happy with granite! Its beautiful! The guys that finished the job were great and fixed any concerns we had. Thank you for helping make us happy customers :)
