I enrolled in the Vet Tech program and paid the registration fee and began paying monthlyOnce I began the program I realized it was not worth my timeI already have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and did not want to continue with Penn FosterI knew the cancellation policy so I withdrew far before I finished 50% of the programI finished only assignments out of the total that would be if I continuedThe monthly payments continued for a few months and I paid enough money I thought should cover the 25% of the program I knew I had to payNext thing I knew they were charging me about $dollars moreI tried contacting many times and getting a breakdown of why I was being charged because I clearly did not finish a lot of the course and I had never received any shipments or anything extra I should be charged forEvery time I spoke with someone they said they would send me something in the mail with the breakdownEach time the mail came about days later a

I was taking online classes at Penn Foster and they said that I couldn't take anymore classes until I finish paying off another program that I had previously taking and finishedAfter finish taking my dental assistant program I get accepted into the early child hood education programI was currently taking class on the early child hood program then all of sudden they canceled the programIn response to the cancellation they said that I owed on a previous programThey cancelled my program with no notification of the cancellationI was never told upfront that I had to pay off a course before I started another courseI assume my programs cost would be combined in one lump sum and I could pay all the classes off at the end of the programThen they said I owe on a medical assistant class that I never requested to take

Not knowing when I enrolled I would have to do an *** Site Selection I proceeded forward with my first course After reading through the requirements for the site selection I contacted a student/academic adviser and explained that due to my current work schedule I would not be able to fulfill the requirement as outlined and asked what could be done so that I could continue to attend classesThe response I received was that it was "being looked into." I sent another email a few days alter asking for follow up
Having not received follow up Idecided the best course of action for me would be to withdraw from the program and begin looking else where to complete my degree In looking over my enrollment agreement I saw that in order to cancel I either needed to mail a physical request or email Penn Foster through my Student Portal on the contact us page After going to the contact us page I could not find an email address anywhere

On Aug28, 2016, I signed a contract and made a first payment for a course, "*** *** with Software," sold by Penn Foster Career SchoolI was given a student ID number and was sent many emails about privacy agreements, course deadlines, etc However, I was not given the software
I called Penn Foster several times before I got someone who actually spoke with me about thisI was told on or around Augthat I would receive a card by regular mail with a key to allow me to download the software When this card did not come in the mail, I called again on or around Sepand was told that "the software is on back order." When I asked when I could expect to get the software, the customer service agent told me that instructor "Ann Marie (I think her last name is M***) says she doesn't know when you will get the software." When I said I was on a Penn Foster-specified deadline, I was told on that call that "we will extend your deadline free of charge," but I don't k

I needed to find a distance learning veterinary technician program, after much consideration due to my financial situation, I decided to look into Penn Foster's vet tech programI inquired online via chat and then was encouraged to call the toll free number for more informationI expected to receive information regarding the program and I was transferred to several different phone representatives that kept asking me for my credit card number and agreeing with everything I said, and praised the program encouraging me to enroll, offering discounts on feesI submitted to the sales pressure, feeling a bit uncomfortable in my gut but decided to give the college the benefit of the doubtUpon enrollment I found myself without much guidance through the program when I asked for assistance with a technical issue (something they should be concerned over since the program is a distance learning experience) and never received any help for my technical issue onlineI had to learn about the prog

On Wednesday April 27, I *** *** called Penn Foster High school in regards to my $payments etcThe rep that I spoke with on this above date and month/ year told me that she was going to defer my April payment for one monthSo I asked the rep was she cocksure that no payment for the month of April will not be debited off of my credit cardThe rep said sure the payment has been deferred for one monthThen on April 29, when I checked my credit card statement I detect that Penn Foster High school had an authorization hold for $to come from out of my accountA payment for the month of April never suppose to been debited off of my credit card; due to the requested deferment On Monday May 2, I called Penn Foster High School twice and the first rep that I spoken to in regards to this matter she became argumentative with me and then terminated our callI called Penn foster high school again and spoken with Linda and she stated that I didn't contact

After enrolling for on-line classes in March, for which did not move forward with school in any way or fashion, had heard many complaints and dissatisfied students who had attended Unfortunately had paid the $initial enrollememt feeReceived a letter from *** *** *** for the sum of $1,dollars for courses and classes not ever attended or taken on-line Called and was informed that due to the fees for stocking supply books, forms & tests in a warehouse is why the $1,fee is being billed to me Btw: While discussion with attorney representing the collecting company he asked me if this is worth my credit being affected (negative impact) Who and where are these types of un-justified illegal actions allowed to be conducted in our country?

My daughter enrolled in the first semester to get her Vet tech certShe completed the first semester and we paid it offShe then attempted to enroll in second semester and was told she had to take two additional classes to get credit for first semester which cost almost as much as the first semesterShe enrolled and took the classes and passed the testwe paid it off and she tried again to enroll in second semester After several phone calls she received an email saying her high school diploma was not acceptedSo she called and resubmitted the diplomaShe received an email saying it was acceptedSo she again attempted to get started on second semester, unable to access the second semester, she contacted student care and then received an email saying they do not accept her high school diplomaSo more emails and phones calls only to be told a supervisor would call her in hours

I ordered to have my previous transcripts from the college sent to a new college I am transferring toI was informed that I could transfer the transcripts for a program that I had completed but the program I had been currently enrolled in was not completed (the current semester was not successfully paid for and sent to collections)Due to it being at collections, none of the semesters I had previously completed, including the semesters already paid in full and completed, could be transferred to my new college

I enrolled at Penn Foster as a young new mother of small children to earn a degree to better our livesI worked very hard at my studies and made very consistent monthly payments the entire time! I completed my first semester with good grades and had it almost paid down to nothingI enrolled into my next semester right around the time I began to have serious health concernsI tried to get my work done and keep up with payments but it was hard when I was hospitalized multiple times a month where I had no internetWhen I would get behind on my studies I would reach out to my teachers who always seemed to work with me so I kept working at catching up in between hospital staysSo after a particularly long battle of illness I returned home with work I had completed in my hospital bed and tried to turn it all in but my student portal was saying I was not a student! I called them and was told that because my work was not turned in by my deadline (supposed to be work at own pace anyway!)

My daughter is a senior in high school, she is having trouble because the staff does not careMy daughter went to traditional school for years, a pre- evaluation was done so she could take the classes that were required for her final year with Penn FosterMy daughter's old school sent her official transcripts twice to Penn Foster, and we sent a copy as wellHowever, when my daughter or I call, one staff member says one thing and the other says something else"We didn't receive it" says one"Yeah we got them, but you sent them so they're not considered official.." says another"It didn't have a signature or official sticker" says the otherI don't know what to believe but my daughter needs her Penn Foster transcripts for college applications and NO ONE cares
