I was approached by an agent of WFG and was told that in order to proceed with learning more about the business opportunity that I would need to pay a $136 fee. The fee was explained as a security background check and also a bankruptcy check (because ppl in bankruptcy are apparently not allowed to participate in the business as an agent). After learning that this isn’t the full and accurate reason why the fee is collected, I decided to back out of the opportunity and attempted to get a refund but was denied. They said all signup fees are non refundable but that my fee would entitle me to attend future meetings to learn more about their business dealings.
