Complaint: 10676225
I am rejecting this response because:First of all, at no time were we ever told that we were purchasing the home "as is."  It was in the process of being remodeled, and we were told that it would be finished when we got it.  All those times that [redacted] called on a weekly basis making sure we still wanted the home, he assured me that the work was "being done," needed "a few finishing touches," or "ready."  And secondly the 60-day habitability warranty is meaningless if the dealer does not act on our complaints.  I sent them at least two lists of things in texts that were not done and talked to [redacted] and [redacted] many times about the things that weren't done.  Each time they told me that they would send someone out to do those things.  All of these things could have been done while the mobile home was in their yard except the installation of the air conditioner/heater.   They didn't know if it was habitable or not.  They did not do an electrical check, or they would have found the loose and missing wires before it was moved.  They did not do a water check, or they would have found the connections were not hooked together to the bathroom sink before it was moved.  In a third world country these things are luxuries, but here we expect electricity at every plug and not to have to keep a bowl in the bathroom for water to shave.  The dishwasher was installed, but the electricity does not work that goes to it, and the men who brought it last Thursday did not have water hook-ups.  All they have done is to bring the dishwasher and put trim around the closet and breaker box.  The other things are not done.  [redacted] called us last week saying the man to put the insulation under the house would be there a certain day and then a day or two later he called to say the man might be there "today or might not."  Still he hasn't come. These are the things that still need to be done:  Insulation under the house, ceiling fan with light in living room and front porch light that works, hot water line to bathroom sink, dishwasher hooked up to electricity and water.
Sincerely,
[redacted] & [redacted]

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs govern manufactured housing dealers in the state of Texas. All used home sold by a licensed dealer have a 60 day habitability warranty. Mr. [redacted] purchased a used home, which was sold as is, with a 60 day habitability warranty. The issues that [redacted] sister, has reported are not habitability issues, however we would like for him to be happy with his purchase. The dishwasher is scheduled to be installed today. Mr. [redacted] paid for a new A/C for his home and the proper size A/C (2.5 ton) has been installed. When the dishwasher is installed we will address: the insulation, the ceiling fan and porch light, and hot water at the bathroom sink. None of these items are habitability issues, but we will do what we can to make the customer happy. Thank you,[redacted] Sales Manager

The check is being mailed on 8/8/17.

Revdex.com: (World Wide Homes)
Anyone can print any type of document and/or paperwork and make it look professional. That doesn't prove a thing. I'm letting this go in respect for Mrs. [redacted] because she asked me to, not because of World Wide Homes. Before I do, World Wide Homes needs to NOT tell people that they will make money off of a sold mobile home then turn around and tell them they get nothing. This is bad for business. When the home was first sold, World Wide Homes ([redacted]) told Mrs. [redacted] (her daughter was present, and as witness, this was told to Mrs. [redacted]) that "remodeling was done inside the trailer and that nothing was worth keeping within the trailer." Also said was, " The $15,000 that was made on the trailer had covered the remodeling."  The lady that purchased the trailer was CONTACTED and confirmed the trailer was purchased for $15,000 and there had been absolutely NO REMODELING. She also told that since around April she has been waiting for World Wide Homes to come and finish connecting the trailer together. Also that it had been around 4 months that World Wide Homes still did not produce the title for the trailer and that she was ready to return the trailer because she could not move into it, nor could she hook up utilities because she still had NOT received the title. It doesn't take $15,000 to move, wrap, store a trailer (which the trailer wasn't stored but maybe a day before it was purchased). I can see that it would cost that much IF the trailer had been stored for several months, but the trailer wasn't. Also, employees get paid by the hour to move trailers and there is no way all of this could have ever reached the sum of $15,000. Telling people what isn't true is bad for business and hopefully down the road this will be a lesson.

I am rejecting this response because: They never tried to contact us. Any communication that was made was by us. We spoke with the finance company that they allegedly sent the application in and we was told that they never received an application for us. We went with another dealer and our process was easy and quick with a lot of communication throughout the process. This company continues to lie. They only time they tried to contact us was when they found out they was reported to the Revdex.com.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Mail check to residence.

The owner and salesman at Worldwide Homes is still telling my brother lies. They were supposed to come today and no one came and no one came to do what they said they would do. The ceiling fan that has no wires and will not allow the front porch light to work. This is perhaps a health issue since my...

brother has fallen off his steps more than once. They told my brother that they could not legally fix this problem. It's just a game they are playing with my disable brother with memory loss. Please help me. The owner said to me that he knew we were country people, and we are and proud of that, but I have a Master's Degree so I'm not stupid. These people have resisted doing what they promised for almost 5 months now.

Two service technicians were at Mr [redacted]'s home on June 25th; they installed the dishwasher and fixed trim.  The technicians did not have enough materials to complete the underbelly repairs, they are scheduled to return Thursday, July 2nd.  We have scheduled an electrician to check out the ceiling fan and front porch light on July 2nd, per Mr [redacted]'s request, due to personal matters.  Please note that the person filing the complaint is not the purchaser of the home, feel free to contact the purchaser of the home to get his side of the story.  I spoke with [redacted] yesterday, he is pleased with the work that has been done and is aware of the schedule for the remaining items.  Mr [redacted]'s sister has never spoken with the owner of Worldwide Homes; she has been speaking with the salesman and sales manager.Thank you,[redacted]Sales Manager

Response taken via telephone 7/14/15: The issues have been resolved.

August 1, 2017   [redacted] Vidor, TX 77662 Claim ID# [redacted]   Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] came in on Saturday, July 8 and completed a credit application. Their application was sent to the bank the following Monday.  Once the bank received it they notified Worldwide Homes...

that they needed some additional items to complete processing the application.  We tried to contact Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] numerous times to get the information that the bank needed. We were unable to reach them. On July 20, the manager and the sales person both reached out to them multiple times; by phone and text. Please see the attached images showing text messages sent and attempts to call. We are very sorry that they are disappointed with the service they received. We have continued to try to contact them multiple times on multiple days with no response. We have their $200 deposit check, which was never cashed.  They are welcome to come by the office to pick up the check or we would be happy to mail it.  We just need to know how they would like to get the deposit check back.   Thank you, [redacted] Sales Manager

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10467332.  [redacted] and [redacted] came out to my home on 03/02/15 and made a work order list.  They were both stunned at the poor work that was done on the house.  The reason my husband signed off on the previous work order is because the tech([redacted]) that came out to work told him World Wide would have to send another sub contractor out to fix the remaining work.  All the tech did that day that my husband signed off on,  was paint 1 wall and literally messed up the marriage line in the middle of the ceiling....
Thank you
