I spoke with the manager [redacted] said when Mr. [redacted] picked up the car that Mr. [redacted] was happy and understood all the options that [redacted] presented and offered to Mr. [redacted]. Which included (a) a rebuild of the transmission which would cost $2,995.00 with a 12 month/12,000 miles limited...

warranty (b) For the customer to buy a used transmission and pay B&M Transmission labor only for the removal and reinstall of the transmission which is a less expensive option than rebuilding (c) a payment plan or (d) Mr. [redacted] could bring the car back when he saved up enough money for which option he chose to go with. [redacted] explained to Mr. [redacted] that when he brought his car back to B&M that Mr. [redacted] would receive credit from B&M Transmission for the RDI towards the rebuild option. We apologize for the inconvenience and understand the frustration due to the vehicles issues.

Complaint ID: [redacted] April 22, 2016 B&M Transmission [redacted] Complaint ID: [redacted] 2005 Nissan Titan To Whom This Concerns: We, B&M Transmission, are disputing this Revdex.com because there are no grounds to substantiate the claim. Upon receiving this Revdex.com...

notification, the customer had committed fraud by filing a chargeback in the amount of $1728.00 and $75.00 “claiming he did not authorize the purchase.” Altogether his chargebacks [redacted] have a grand total of $2,803.00 that is owed to B&M for our repair services that the customer, [redacted] chose to have done and approved for the price he paid. These chargebacks are a ‘Theft of Service’ that are considered a felony since it is over the amount of $1500.00 and we plan to press charges if we do not receive monies owed for the repair services provided. Mr. [redacted]’ chose to have a ‘used transmission’ rather than have his transmission rebuilt by our certified builders in order to save money on his 2005 Nissan Titan. The ‘used transmission’ does not come with a warranty because our certified technicians only installed the transmission bought from a third party. The only issue was due to a part failure that our company did not perform any service or repair on. The terms of service were not mispresented. We have photos of Mr. [redacted]’ driveshaft with a huge hole or extensive damage that was not and could not be due to our transmission installation. We, B&M Transmission, have not mispresented nor provided any services that were not of “the right level of service and quality” described. We originally asked for “proof of repair receipts” for the other company Mr. [redacted] is claiming he brought his vehicle to for repair and said companies written claim that B&M is at fault for such extensive damage to the driveshaft when we only installed a used transmission. Sincerely, B&M Transmission[redacted]- President & [redacted]-Vice President

B&M Transmission 7514 Burnet Rd Austin, TX 78757 Jose R Perez 107 N Patterson Florence, TX 76527 Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] (Second Response) 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L 4X4 [redacted] R/O# K3159 – COMPLETE TRANSMISSION OVERHAUL TO WHOM THIS CONCERNS: B&M Transmission has been in business for over 45 years and we certainly did not make it thus far in this industry by providing our customers with poor quality repairs/service or by not honoring our warranty. We are a small family owned and operated company that prides ourselves in going above and beyond for our customers. [redacted]s response has numerous accusations and statements that are false and in the excessive amount can be viewed as slander. [redacted] also submitted what is called a “chargeback” to American Express in order to receive a refund for his entire Transmission Overhaul of $2000.00 claiming we didn’t provide him with one, while also asking for an additional $1000.00 through this Revdex.com Complaint. B&M won the case against this false “chargeback” because we have all the documentation to prove we have done nothing [redacted] is accusing us of. B&M Transmission is not responsible for the poor timing of the U-Joints Failure that [redacted] installed himself (prior to us working on the vehicle) breaking causing the driveshaft to fall. Again, we only remove/reinstall and touch the 4 bolts that attach the 2 brackets to the driveshaft. These 4 bolts that screw in 2 brackets were still securely and properly intact when the driveshaft fell. We have proof of this. (Which is attached on the next page.) [redacted]s claim in that he called B&M Transmission regarding his first Transmission Rebuild R/O# K3157 is false. B&M never received a call therefore we could have never refused not to honor his warranty. [redacted] is also making a false claim about paying $1500.00 for his first rebuild. B&M has the work-order and credit card receipt to prove that [redacted] paid $1300.00 (for the transmission rebuild) plus $40.00 (for a rear main seal) and $10.00 (for a shop charge) and that only totals to $1350.00.(See attachment for Pictures)

[redacted] Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted] 1986 Buick Century R/O# [redacted] TO WHOM THIS CONCERNS: After receiving the notification that [redacted] had declined or rejected our first response we went back to the Manager [redacted]) and asked him to write out his statement for us to submit. This is [redacted]’s Written Statement: I clearly remember the phone call between [redacted] and I. He asked how much it would cost to "rebuild" the transmission in his vehicle and I responded with the accurate answer of $1200.00. That is the price for the exact definition of a transmission "rebuild" which is installing a rebuild kit. He did ask how much the "worst case scenario" would be and I explained to him that the "worst case scenario" would be that his transmission is unrepairable and would have to be completely replaced. I then explained that the "worst case scenario" does not apply to his vehicle because his vehicle was still drivable and the transmission did not need to be replaced. I NEVER said that $1200 was the "worst case scenario" Once the vehicle was towed in ($75) and we had an opportunity to remove the transmission ($475) we found that the transmission needed more parts than what are included in a rebuild kit. An additional $853 in parts and labor. I explained to [redacted] that it would have been impossible to know if these parts were needed without seeing the inside of the transmission. He agreed to the price of the repairs and asked if we had a "payment plan". I said we did and he would need to pay half of the bill to start and that he would have 45 days to pay out the rest. He then said he would come by after he got off work to fill out the necessary paperwork and pay the down payment. When [redacted] arrived, I showed him the paperwork he needed to sign and explained to him that there would be a $100.00 fee if he wanted to use our financing plan. He then became very irate, saying that I was trying to "rip him off" because I didn’t tell him about the $100 over the telephone. I agreed and apologized for not letting him know over the phone. I explained to him that if he didn’t want to agree to the terms of using our financing that he simply didn’t have to sign it. I then explained that he wasn’t yet committed to continue with the next step in the rebuild process and that if he didn’t want us to finish repairing the additional parts needed to fix his transmission that all he owed us was $475 for the labor he approved to pull/remove the transmission from the vehicle and labor to tear down the transmission that we had already performed and how we came to know he needed additional parts to repair/fix his transmission and the $75 for us towing in the vehicle since we would not be completing the repair. He then became even more irate and said he should "take me outside and whip my as". I calmly explained to him that I was not going to tolerate him threatening me, that I am a much taller/larger man than him and that I would not be getting an "asswhippping". [redacted] then stormed outside, ripped off his shirt aggressively while throwing it on the ground and stormed straight to the vehicle he arrived in and then retrieved TWO 4-foot-long about 2+ inches in diameter metal bars also known as torque wrenches. Once I saw him coming towards the building, on our security cameras with those weapons I immediately dialed 911. He never actually hit me with the weapons, but he did threaten me with them which was enough for the police to arrest him and file charges. His wife returned the next day to pay the bill ($550.00) and said to leave the vehicle outside and she would have someone pick it up. I informed her a flat-bed trailer or tow truck would be needed in order to avoid damage to the vehicle. The next day, she called and said they tried to "drag" the vehicle back to their house but were having too much trouble so they gave up. She asked if I could have our tow service tow the vehicle back to their house. I said I could for an additional $75 which she approved of. (Our tow service to their house was on a flat-bed tow truck) After getting off the phone with her I went out to the vehicle and noticed a rope still attached to the steering gear of the vehicle. (It had been cut off by the Causeys.) Trying to "drag" ANY car with a rope attached to the steering gear WILL DAMAGE THE VEHICLE. That damage was not caused by the work we performed. It was caused by the customer trying to "drag" the car by a rope tied to the steering gear. We verified his statement by listening to the actual phone calls between [redacted] and our Manager [redacted], talking to other employees that witnessed the events in person and by watching all the video surveillance from every interaction associated with this vehicle. The complete satisfaction of our customers is our number one priority but the safety of our employees is extremely important to us as well... Sincerely, B&M Transmission [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:My car was ready around January 20 and they keep saying it will be ready as for the manager [redacted] he told me January 8 the car should be ready. The car wasnt ready. When I got the car back it was it was unsatisfied my shifter doesn't reads which gear im in. It was truly a waste of money and time. I was better off send my car to another transmission shop and just pay more to have the car fixed the right way. The car is in a worse shape than it was when I brought it in to get fixed

[redacted]   FEBRUARY 10, 2016 Scott Unzicker 507 West 33rd Street B, Austin, TX 78705 Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] 2001 Jeep Wrangler TO...

WHOM THIS CONCERNS: Travis, Our Manager for the Burnet Rd Location of B&M Transmission, provided [redacted] a quote of $2400 for a full service rebuild of his transmission that would come with the industry standard 12 Month-12,000 warranty. Our full service rebuilds, which we have been providing to our customers for over 45 years, includes the labor time to properly remove or pull the transmission, the labor and parts to provide a custom rebuild of the transmission, the labor time to properly reinstall the new custom rebuilt transmission including the correct transmission fluid and any other transmission related parts needed to ensure the highest quality. [redacted] chose to decline a full service rebuild and provide his own used transmission he purchased from elsewhere to be installed into his 2001 Jeep Wrangler for a Labor Only-No Warranty price of $650. Before anything was removed [redacted] was fully informed of the procedure and risks associated with buying a used transmission from another source. He understood we could not warranty a transmission we did not rebuild and if the transmission he purchased used did not work properly he would have to pay for the Labor to remove and reinstall the transmission again. All of our technicians are highly knowledgeable and certified. We apologize for the inconvenience and understand the frustration felt due to the used transmission not working properly. With that being said we promise that our technicians took proper care when removing and reinstalling the used transmission. Sincerely, [redacted] -President [redacted] -Vice President

I am rejecting this response because:Nobody even contacted me???? I called and called, then finally a brand new manager answer the phone. I said omg can you just put my engine back in so I can get my car out of there. Seriously this is the third manager in the past two months! Side deals? What side deals! I just wanted my engine fix the right way before you going messed it up!
I went there a couple weeks ago nobody was around, just the [redacted] mechanic and the [redacted] mechanic. They were the only two working there, they hardly speak English. They know me and my car though, they just laugh and said nobody’s been here for days. You guys really need to close that shop down. How many managers in the past month seriously? Accusing me of side deals really?? Your mechanics know that my car didn’t sound like that when my car came in? Now it’s messed up and your last manager which was a couple weeks ago told the mechanic to keep his mouth shut! I just wanted my car fix! How hard was that? I paid money and more money. The car is still not running! Please put my car back together and don’t break anything else so I can come get it towed out of that shop! I don’t need to make any side deals! I have money! I need a good shop with good managers and mechanics! It’s sorry how you run your business because I know how many managers and mechanics you go through within a couple months. This is horrible, please don’t put anyone else through this!
Regards
