I think it is clear that the model has a new speedometer because Yamaha recognizes that the previous models had an issueIt appears that this new model does not have a tinted lens and it is easier to read the LCD Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Very nice of YMC to apologize but a real apology would include a modified speedometer unit that solves a visibility issue that they they have recognized and solved on the model They state that the "meter is a modern take on a traditional style"Well and good except the traditional style was readable is all lighting conditions The modern one is not They state that they " thoroughly test their vehicles under a multitude of situations" but they, obviously, didn't try to determine their speed while riding in the direction of the sun They state that "varying lighting conditions can vary the appearance of the meter"Well, DUH, that's exactly the point It becomes UNREADABLE when the sun is not behind the rider This issue is a widly know flaw as expounded on the Star Bolt Forum and acknowledged by customer support " we are aware of the problem and are working on a fix"The fix is out for but has left the customers, like myself, out to dry Please convey to YMC that this issue could escalate into a class action suit if not handeled delicately I'll be looking for a meter in the mail very soon Regards, [redacted] Cc: [redacted] ***

We sincerely apologize to the consumer for the delay in providing a replacement frame for his Rmotorcycle. We did have a part shipped from our supplier in Japan specifically for this consumer, but before it could be shipped from our USA warehouse to his local dealer we found flaws in its
manufacture making it unsuitable for use.
We acknowledge that the consumer has waited unacceptably long, and for this we deeply apologize. We have made our parent company, Yamaha Motor Corporation in Japan aware of this matter and they are striving to examine their practices to discover the reason for this lengthy delay and expedite the manufacture of a Rframe as quickly as possible

Thank you for your comments about the Star Bolt Motorcycle. Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.Ais constantly striving to build the best product in the market today. Every year we do extensive testing and research to achieve this goal, and feedback from our valued customers plays a large part in this research. There are always going to be improvements from one year to the next. We do not make these improvements due to a problem that was experienced from the prior model year, but we do this to improve our products for the customer to enjoy. That fact that these changes are made does not mean that we in any way feel the previous model is inferior

Please convey to YMC that this issue could escalate into a class action suit if not handeled delicately.

If their product was of such high quality and there was nothing wrong with it then why was a redesign done on the 2015 model?  Yamaha knows there is a problem with the 2014 speedometer because of so many complaints against it.  This is why when the 2015 model came out the speedometer was made with a lighter glass as to allow the visibility in all light conditions.  Please follow the below links as proof.  I want the Yamaha motor corporation to replace the speedometer at no cost to me.  This item should be considered a safety issue and a recall made against it.
