I was in a small accident with a rental car from ZeZgo, the company charged me $2500 without any proof of damages and refuse to refund the difference.
On 9/3/19 I was involvd in small accident with a rental car from ZeZgo, I returned the car with minor damage to the hood. The car rental charged me $2500 on the spot at return and claimed they would refund the difference after the car was repaired. I never heard back from the company. The company never provided any proof of the cost of repair nor did the return any money to me. I feel as if they were scamming me and stole my $2500 contract number ZEXXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

I would like to receive my reimbursement between the difference of the cost of the repairs and the $2500 that I was charged. I also would like to see proof of repair and costs associated.

If I could give negative stars I would. Worst car rental place in history! Place is at a shady warehouse not even at the airport. We walked in and 2 customers had already left unhappy very upset. The lady that tried to check in before us left crying and had to get an Uber. Basically they have all these "hidden" charges. Online prices look great when you go in they make you use their insurance unless you have $300,000 liability on your own plan which they know no one does. They then make you add daily toll allowance to your plan even when asked what if we pay any tolls cash upfront they said no you will be charged $25 for every toll you pass. You still need to pay the daily tolls even if you don't use a toll. Total after they added all different fees came out to 4x more what we originally paid to reserve the car. The customer service there is unprofessional very cold hearted even when the lady there was crying by how unfair they were being they did not offer her any comfort. The staff is disrespectful to each other cursing in Spanish not knowing we could understand them. We had to call an Uber to get out of there. Best thing we could do we then shopped around other places and there were no crazy hidden fees like these people claim. Don't understand how this business is still running with all the people we saw leave and cancel that day for the same reasons.

Zezgo Car Rental on 7466 Narcoosee Rd in Orlando is thee absolute WORST!! DO NOT patronize this establishment!! I booked through expedia for $51.00, arrived at the airport and was transported to this location after multiple passenger pick ups. Once there I spoke with the clerk to complete the rental, NOT once was I asked for my declaration page (which I had). Immediately I asked to cancel my reservations and to be taken back to airport. I was told I had to have cancelled 24hrs in advance. I then said I'm giving you 25hrs notice that I will be returning this car tomorrow. I was told I had to keep the vehicle for the duration I had initially booked. The website said FREE CANCELLATION. I was also told I had to use their insurance for a daily fee. There was no disclosure at any point previously stating that. Secondly, I was offered 13.99 a day EZ Pass coverage which I declined. I said I would rather pay cash at each toll encountered than to pay a set daily fee. I was told if I chose to pay cash and Zezgo is inadvertently charged I would NOT get reimbursed the cost of the toll and there then would be a daily charge of 25.00. I drove up to the CASH ONLY line at the toll booth, cash in hand I was told by the attendant who pointed to the green "GO" sign said the car"s electronic payment was excepted. There was no sign of an EZ Pass inside of this car on the dashboard, front windshield, glove compartment or trunk. I was subsequently charged 25.00 a day which totaled 75.00 for going through two tolls within the first 45mins of having this vehicle. No other day did I go through the toll booth. I AM DISPUTING THE CHARGES....DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM ZEZGO! Save yourself the trouble rent from a reputable place like ALAMO or HERTZ at the airport. ZEZGO receives a '0' rating. I also mentioned to staff not feeling safe having to drop the car off at such an early hour while the business had not yet opened for the day and being in such a remote location. I was told to call for an uber and that there are cameras out there. HORRIBLE!

I rented a car from this company. They made me pay for additional insurance when I already had that would cover the car. the problem is they charged me $236.60 for toll cost. when I paid at every toll I went through. I have called numerous time trying to get a copy of this contract they said I signed. knowing I didn't signed for it. they keep my $250 deposit which they said would be back in my account after 24 hours. They will not send or email me the information I need to take to the bank. This is wrong on so many levels. The company is a scam which is just ripping consumers off .Please let me know what I can do to solve this matter.

Refund i would like a refund of the toll cost they charged me.,because it was paid each time i went through. Unless they can show video of me not paying.

The day that we took our rental car back, was on Sept 14, 2019. The car was completely clean, with no dents, scratches, or dings on it. The person that we took the car back to, reports that there is a small spot on the windshield that 'needs to be corrected.? 'It is a small chip that needs to have the entire windshield replaced.? I have the copy of the video that the person that rented the car to me took. There is no way that the second gentleman was able to see that there was any chip on the windshield, secondary to him taking the video from so far away. The supposed chip, did not come all the way through the windshield, so it WOULD not crack out and it was the size of a pin dot. When I put a penny up beside it, it looked like a pin dot. I have a copy of it on my phone. I also have a copy of the video that was made on my email. I have never had anyone, from all of the car rental agencies that I have dealt with, have not had any Windshield damage issues. If the outside of the glass has issues, that is something that they just get fixed on their own. I paid out $175 for the glass replacement. I would like to have this money back.

Other (requires explanation) Billing Adjustment I had paid them $122.93 for the car rental. $119.75 for my SunPass. $175.00 for the Windshield Replacement. I would appreciate the $175.00 back. I do not think that they were going to replace the Windshield. The gentleman that was with me, went out to look at all of the windshields, and the Corolla I was driving was the cleanest windshield out there. They all had dings on them. My complaint is regarding the services practice of Zezgo Rent A Car in Orlando, Florida. I booked a rental car using Travelocity. It displayed several car companies and their rates for rental cars. I chose Zezgo because it was the cheapest. Prior to my arrival, I contacted my auto insurance company and confirmed that I did not need to purchase insurance when I would pick up the rental car. After I arrived in Orlando International Airport, I took a shuttle to the Zezgo off-airport location to pick up the rental car. That is where the trouble began. After I provided the Zezgo representative with my insurance information, I was told that I could not use it so I was forced to pay for minimally "Liability" insurance for the rental period at $14.95 per day. I was furious and complained that according to my insurance company (New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company) I should be covered. The representative insisted that I could not use it. I hesitantly paid for the rental and drove off with the rental. I once again contacted my insurance and confirmed that I should have been covered. I then followed-up by sending Zezgo a declaration letter that provided by my insurance company stating the same information I provided them. One of the Zezgo representatives called me shortly after and I argued with him on the phone to no avail. In conclusion and summation, this complaint is against Zezgo, for wrongly and deceitfully charging customers for services that are not required. The rate for the car drew me in, but in the long run I would up paying more. Poor business practices and customer deception!!

Other (requires explanation) Refund Zezgo should first and foremost clearly state what is required for rental prior to customer confirming reservations. Additionally, if the customer has the required information, Zezgo should not mislead customer and not force them to pay for services not needed. Once again, this company has poor and deceptive business practices designed to steal money from consumers.

They over charge me $89.93 plus Tax

If I could give Zezgo rental car negative stars I would gladly do it. This place is a complete and total scam. They refuse to honor my insurance premium for rental cars because they stated that the premium should be for $300,000 dollars, they basically make you pay then the sun pass rental because they will not allow you to use your own. All in all a $77.34dollar car rental became a close to $300.00 car rental. Along with myself there were several other irate customers who were yelling at them for ripping them off. When I tried to cancel the rental agreement they refused and informed me that my credit card had already been charged and that even if I turned the car in early they would still charge me full price. Do yourself a favor and do not give them your business!!! This place ruined my vacation. They are a bunch of low life crooks!!!!

We rented our car through Expedia from here. Our flight was delayed an hour. When we got to the airport and called to pick it up, they said they gave our rental away even though we paid. Terrible customer service and experience.

I had to make a last minute car rental switch. I booked a car at what I thought was a good price. I arrived at the office within 30 minutes of making my reservation. Then I was informed I needed my car insurance declaration page. After calling my auto insurance company. I had an emailed copy. Then I was told my property damage limits where not high enough. They require $300,000. I had $100,000 plus uninsured and underinsured coverages. This wasn't enough. They wanted $13+ per day additional insurance. None of the insurance limit information was disclosed upon booking. I-said I'd just cancel. They said. No refund.. need 24 hours advance notice. Now disputing the charges. Another couple that arrived with me got the same rude awakenings. 0 stars.

Keep away from this company. I booked my rent from cheaptickets.com because it was the best price and paid in full but when I went over there they asked me to pay $137.25 for the liability insurance. I said my current liability covered $50,000 from New York how come you asked me to pay for $300,000 liability in Florida it does not make sense. The counter girl told me this is a company policy. I said there is no insurance rules on your website for this liability and on cheaptickets.com as well. I said you just twist my arm to pay more than double what I paid on the website you listed a good price on the internet to get people come and forced them to pay more at the counter. I stayed more than 90 min negotiation with them with no way. I rented before 3 times from 3 different companies and did not face like this also did not pay any at the counter. Beware and do not rent from this company. They deserve less than zero review.

the worst company to rent a car in Orlando. My reservation was prepaid and at the moment of the reservation I was informed that there was a deposit of $ 250 dollars. when I got to pick up the car they charged me $ 1000 deposit. In addition to that they force you to buy the pass of the tolls of $ 14 per day. When I returned the car, they told me that everything was in order that they would only charge me the toll money to my credit card. Upon reviewing my Bank status there was an additional charge of $ 100. I called them and they said the charge was because the car was not clean inside and had some soda cans. This company will steal your money, do not be fooled and go with a well known agency

Paid one price online when I go to the car rental I was told I had to pay more money and could not cancel my reservation
I went to go pick up the car to which I had paid for online then when I was there I was told to pay another amount on top of the 164 dollars I had already spent leading me to pay $305 also leaving a $500 deposit which was not stated anywhere on the website. The representative did nothing to try to the aid the situation instead they pushed that I paid or just lose my$164 I had already paid. I had paid online with my credit card.

I want the money I spent in the store back because it was not previously stated. If I can get my whole investment back that would make me the happiest because I was lied to then put in between a rock and hard place on losing my investment for a car a I needed today and having to drop about $800 today though I will get my $500 back that other $300 should be given back to me

A week after my rental Zezgo placed a fraudulent charge on my VISA! I called, they said they would issue a credit but never did. After calling and emailing for over 30 days I have had to open a dispute with VISA. Total hassle, I am still trying to get it credited back.

Rented car from zezgo thru Travelocity..picked up Rental on June 11th was told I would have to purchase extended Insurance plan even tho I had purchased collusion insurance as well as provided my own personal insurance.and was charged another 296.20 wjich included a 200.00 deposit..drove Rental to my brothers house about an HR away..woke up next day and noticed a flat tire . notified rental agency and was told it was not there problem..was told to get it patched up and I would be reimbursed..took it to tire shop and was told it could not be patched due to the fact that the belt in the tire snapped..was told due to low sir pressure in tire . notified rental agency and was told to purchase a new tire and that I might be reimbursed..didn't like the fact that I was hung up on 5 different times...I put spare on tire and told them I was returning the rental car because I was not happy with the service and being treated that way..rented car from national car rental... requested not to be charged for the time I did not have the car..never got my deposit back was hung up on again on July 1st and am now disputing it with my credit card company...this business is very unprofessional and it had costed me 588.00 plus for the rental car I had used for less then one day .not the way I wanted to spend my vacation...there should be a law Against the way they treat their customers...I am gonna be filing suit against them...

I reserved a car on line with this company
I declined their insurance and took proof of my comprehensive car insurance with Farmers. They refused to accept my insurance the excuse given was that I need 500 000 dollars on personal liability
I have 250 000. Nowhere in their site or the conditions which I read carefully mentions this requirement. It mentions that you need to buy their insurance or need to provide proof and current insurance. I even had my insurance send the entire policy to the company e-mail. After I refused to pay over 30 dollars per day on their insurance they refuse to rent the car to me. I requested my money back and they reused to return my money
I rented I can from another more reputable company Fox under the same conditions using my own insurance
I think the low rates they offer on line are just part of their scam to either extort customers to pay for their outrageous insurance rates or keep the car rental fees you already paid for. Either way they keep the customer money

I rented a vehicle at Zezgo Orlando. I was picked up and taken to the car rental desk, at a hotel.

Mandatory Insurance Requirement
At check-in I was told I MUST PAY for their insurance "because I am not an American." I told him that I am fully covered with my own insurance company for everything and wish to decline insurance. He said I must pay their insurance fee or I could not rent the vehicle. Stuck at a hotel, I was forced to pay their insurance. There was another couple in front of me and they were also surprised to be forced to pay for insurance. Something is going on here. Their web site allows to decline insurance!

Mandatory Toll Surcharge
At check-in I was informed I could chose a toll package. Package #1 and pay $13.95 per day to "go through as many tolls as you would like without stopping." or your could choose Package #2, "you pay for the tolls" and if I did not pay the toll that I would be charged a penalty of $25.00, not $19.99 as on web site, for every toll I went through and did not pay the toll. I chose "2 because I knew that I would be stopping at every toll and pay the toll.

On my trip I went through a toll and was going to pay the teller and the teller said no you don't have to pay because "you have a transponder and the toll is paid"!

I called the car rental company. I told them I expected to pay the teller and not get charged $25.00 for not paying. The car rental company said "Everytime you go through a toll whether or not you pay the toll you will be charged $25.00".

I travelled 120 miles and now I am being told I am paying a $25 penalty for every toll I go through, after I chose to go through pay as you go through tolls. This is wrong.

When I checked-in the information at the counter was false and misleading and to rent the car I was forced to pay charges and I did not request or need.

Zezgo should not make mandatory conditions that are not up front and make rules "as they go" and get away with it. This is wrong and misleading and forced selling.
