Ms. [redacted] was able to schedule payment arrangements to pay off her loan on 3/13/2018. We are having our IT department look into the emails that Ms. [redacted] received to investigate Ms. [redacted]' claims. At this point Ms. [redacted]' loan is paid in full and she was not assessed any additional finance fees as a result of the inconveniences she claims to have experienced. Regards,Sierra Lending

[redacted] values Ms. [redacted]’s business and regrets that she is dissatisfied with our services.   Short term credit is not an inexpensive way to borrow funds and is not suitable for long-term borrowing needs.  The terms and conditions of the loan were explained to Ms. [redacted] in detail by one of our agents prior to her accepting the loan. Additionally, all scheduled payments are listed in detail within the contract that Ms. [redacted] signed. On 4/27/2017, Ms. [redacted] paid off her loan early via her debit card. Ms. [redacted] was given a reduced finance fee on her final payment because the payment was made a week prior to her next scheduled due date (5/5/2017). All payments made by Ms. [redacted] were taken in accordance with the contract that she signed. As of 4/27/2017, Ms. [redacted] has a zero balance on her account. [redacted] will not be issuing a refund to Ms. [redacted].  Regards, [redacted]

I recently applied for a "payday loan" with Sierra Lending in Jan.26,2016 for 300.00 dollars. Customer service agent advised me, to provide my bank account information and 90.00 dollars every two weeks will be deduced from my banking account. If, I decide to pay the account out, I will need to pay 390.00 before the 26th of the month, before the loan is due. I attempted to call the company and pay my loan out and was placed on hold, without no one response from the company. I chose the " Apply for New Loan " opt and was told, that they could not tell me my balance and transfer to customer service. No one answered, and I attempted to call the company in March and April. I call again, and chose the customer service opt and the " Apply for New Loan " opt and agent transferred me to another number and was advised, they were unable to provide me with any information, in regard to my account. Agent advised me to go online and email the company. I try that and the Site did not allowed my email to process.
I miss a payment April of this Month, and they finally called me. I explained my attempts to reach them, and the agents became very rude and call me over 5 times a day. I told them to correspond by mail and not to call me by phone. Agents told me they will continue to all me by phone.
I have paid this company at least 500 dollars ,and I do not owe them anything. In my opinion, the company ignore your attempts to pay your account out, so they DRAIN more money out of your account. PLEASE advised" Sierra Lending" to stop calling my phone, and sent out mail only.

regarding the complaint of [redacted]. Thank you for the opportunity to respond. We have reviewed the call recording of Ms. [redacted] and our client service representative that took place on 10/21/2016 at approximately 10:58am EST. Ms. [redacted] was read the terms and conditions of her loan verbally over the phone by one of our representatives prior to accepting the loan. In addition, the terms and conditions of Ms. [redacted]’s loan were explicitly detailed in the contract that she signed. All payments have been taken in accordance with the payment authorizations that Ms. [redacted] has signed. Ms. [redacted] used our online chat service on 11/22/2016 to schedule a due date extension on her third payment. Ms. [redacted] was informed that this extension would carry an increase finance fee, to which Ms. [redacted] agreed by signing a new payment authorization. A portion of the transcript is listed below: The finance fee will increase from $165.00 to $247.50 per this one-time courtesy extension. The minimum payment due on the 12/09/2016 due date will be $247.50. 9:40:36 AM [[redacted]] Will this work for you? 9:40:59 AM [[redacted]] Yes that will be fine...thank you9:41:55 AM Ms. [redacted] has not scheduled any payments to be applied toward the principal balance of her loan; therefore her loan is beginning to pay itself down by 5% of the original principal balance. So, the different payment amounts Ms. [redacted] is referencing can be attributed as follows: the regularly scheduled finance fee of 33% of the principal balance ($165.00), the increased finance fee due to the extension Ms. [redacted] requested ($247.50), and the automatic pay down of 5% of the original principal balance beginning on Ms. [redacted]’s fifth due date ($181.50). In an attempt to resolve Ms. [redacted]’s complaint, we have decided to waive the remaining balance on Ms. [redacted]’s account. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
After speaking with Sierra to pay off my loan, I received a misleading document by email to authorize the payoff withdrawal (document was titled "Loan Application" - which was same as original to request loan in first place), as a result the document was not returned until I was able to reach Sierra by phone again, and while speaking with rep, document was re-sent to me (again titled Loan Application - but this time Step 3 listed the payoff amount and date instead of original payment schedule to 2019). Due to Sierra's misleading document, I was charged another $98.00. Sierra loaned me $600 on February 21, 2018. Yes, I knew this was a short-term loan but NOT that the amount of interest would be $400 less than a month later. To payoff, I first contacted Sierra on March 6 (13 days from loan), then again on March 8 (15 days after loan) - the dishonest/misleading practice leads to gouging people for even more money. This loan cost me almost the amount of the original loan in less than a month.

DO NOT USE this lender! I have had lots of pay day loans and never experienced a company taking advantage of people like this. I borrowed$700 and have had 4 payments of $231 taken from my account, over$900, so I thought I would call them to get my balance, should be about done, right? Nope, my balance is over$900!!!! Unless I pay more, my loan will not be paid off until 11/17, meaning I would pay about $4000 to borrow $700. That is insane!!!!

After reviewing this complaint, it appears that Ms. [redacted] transposed two digits on her home address when she filled out her application with Sierra Lending.
We have voided that check and issued Ms. [redacted] a new check. We apologize for the delay and will be overnighting the new check. Ms. [redacted] should receive the new check on either 8/6/2015 or 8/7/2015. Please contact our office if you have not received the check by 8/8/2015.

This the worse company to do business with .They have the worse customer service and do not care what so ever about there customers they continue to try to money out of my bank account early and give me 32 dollars NSF fees after I told them over and over I don't get paid till Friday .Try several resources before you do bussiness with this company. There rude and will give you NSF and don't care about it.

well aware of how the finance fees are assessed on her loan. The terms were verbally explained to Ms. [redacted] when she took out the loan, as well as explicitly detailed in the contract that she signed. In fact, Ms. [redacted] contacted our representatives on 6/5/2015 and scheduled a payment towards her principal balance for 6/10/2015. In addition to being informed when she took out the loan, Ms. [redacted] was advised via email on 6/23/2015 that the finance fees are the minimum amount to be withdrawn on her due dates and that she must call at least three business days prior to her due dates in order to schedule payment arrangements on her principal balance.
We value Ms. [redacted]'s business and regret to hear that she is dissatisfied with our services. Short term credit is not an inexpensive way to borrow funds and is not suitable for long-term borrowing needs. We would like to work with Ms. [redacted] to resolve the issue. Total scam. Insane interest rates. As soon as they found out I worked for a law firm, they denied my application. If that's not a sign they are doing something nefarious, I don't know what is.
