Review: I was offered a settlement amount. I accepted and paid it with a money gram. I am now being accused and family members harrased saying it was never paid and threatning court in the amount of $1245.00. I do not feel I should have to pay this. The person on the phone was rude and interrupted me several times then hung up on me. When I tried to call back for a mgr I get an answering machine. Please help me with this situation.Desired Settlement: I would like for the calls to stop and for them to acknowledge that a settlement was offered and to my knowledge it was paid. I do not have the money to pay this again much less the amount they are attempting

Review: The latter part of 2014, I think it might have been Oct/Nov time frame I sought financial help via Sierra Lending services. Upon having a few payments drafted each pay period, there was a moment that I wasn't sure if the correct funds would be available for draft due to changes on my job. I requested that payments be stopped however, they would not allow me to do so until a cease and desist was sent. It was sent and all future payments were stopped. I do admit to not setting up further arrangements and the balance went from me owing a few hundred dollars to now over a thousand. The issue is today I received an extremely threatening phone call to take me to small claims court and also stated that I will be served with papers on August 26 unless I contacted the agency collecting. I did so in efforts to set up an arrangement however I also requested a copy of original documents that stated where I would be taken to court if defaulted. The collection agency stated they did not have copies of that information and for me to contact Sierra for a copy of the original documents that I signed that stated that. I contacted Sierra via chat (rep named [redacted]) who stated that they no longer have any info on my account and it had been turned over to an agency called Total Recovery. I contacted them who stated they hadn't had my account since July. Someone has to have to document. This would be the only proof for them to take me to court am I correct? I want that document and all I can get is a copy of what they are collecting from the collection agency.Desired Settlement: I want that original document that was electronically signed. There has to be documentation somewhere. I will make payments on the balance however, I want those documents showing where they legally can take me to court since they are threatening and harassing me. Is it legal for them to threaten to take me to court without showing me this proper documentation and proof that I "knowingly signed" where they will take me to court if defaulted? Is it legal to take me to court period of this matter?

Re: [redacted] O [redacted], Case Number [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[This is not a response to the specifics of my email. The response puts all further action on the 3rd party collections agency who stated they had no record of my original document signed, only the ending balance of what's owed. The collections company told me to contact the originator of the loan which is Sierra Lending for a copy. I contacted Sierra Lending and was brushed off stating there was nothing they can assist me with and did not have any information on my account including the original signed document because it had been sold to a 3rd party collection agency. Since I can not be provided with the original document of the loan signed with amounts stated that will accrue after time as well as the rules on defaulting, now I am really going against the amount of the balance. This is an unprofessional practice if the original lender nor the collections agency can provide me requested documents.]

Review: I applied for a payday loan unfortunatley with Sierra Lending last year. I struggled with paying them back. I even contacted them via email and phone to explain this. Each time they gave me the run around. So finally I can pay them now, and I''ve been calling them recently to try and pay. They said they sold my account to their third party collection agency. I called this agency and they stated that they never had it to begin with because they do not even deal with payday loan cases in Maryland. They told me to try another collection company and they did not have it either. These companies claimed they never had it to begin with. They advised me to call my original lender back which is Sierra Lending to get them to look into it. Well Sierra Lending keeps brushing me off and telling me they dont have it. I asked them if they could call their third party collection agency that they're affiliated with so that we could figure out what happened to my account. They said they cannot contact them which sounds fishy. Bottom line is Sierra Lending keeps brushing me off giving me false information, giving me all these numbers to call and none of them have my information in the system at all. They all keep telling me the same thing which is "We do not have your account and if we sold it we would still have record of it which we do not." Sierra Lending keeps giving me false information and leading me on a wild goose hunt for my account. I just want to pay this bill off and nobody can find out where my account really is. Sierra Lending is the original lender and I need answers. I'm also filing a complaint with FTC for another issue regarding Sierra Lending as well. I even tried pulling my credit report and it's not on there. Help please. They have really poor customer service.Desired Settlement: I just want my account to be located thats all so I can settle this debt.

HORRIBLE Customer service team that lies to you on the phone. They offered my a loan with a repayment schedule that was TOTALLY different from what they emailed me. Three months later- no resolution and insanely high interest charges (more than DOUBLE the original loan amount).

Review: A month ago I requested a loan through Sierra Lending, didn't have any problems with them until they switch companies and now are demanding my debt card information. Within the last 2 weeks I would receive daily phones calls from either their automated system or a customer service representative requesting debt card information. I have informed both the customer service reps and also supervisors that these calls need to stop! Today alone I've received total of 3 phone calls from them requesting debt information and since I'm refusing to give them my debt information now they are threating to push an electronic check for the full amount that is due if I don't give them my debt card information. Weeks prior to that I received a call from one of their reps asking me for debt information to be qualified for another loan that I didn't even request; I feel as thought ever since I refuse to give them debt info then they are now harassing me for it daily. I have called and spoken to numerous supervisors whom assured me that the calls would stop 3 hours later I received another call requesting debt information. I have been on hold for over 30 mins waiting for a supervisor I think they have given me every excuse in the book from they are in a meeting to "They said it can take up to 24 hours for the calls to stop" I automatically replied back stating...I've been requesting this to stop for 2 weeks now so its been well over 24 hours!!! I just need the harassing phone calls looking for my debt information to stop!Desired Settlement: I have phone records showing that I receive calls from them at least 3 times a day (for the last 2 weeks)looking for my debt information when I do speak to them I have them go through my acct in full to make sure that I am fully aware of my current balance, and that when their system flips over they will go into my account and debt the entire amount...but until that happens I will leave my acct the way it is. Please make the calls stop. Thank you

Review: I have paid Sierra Lending over $1600 in the last year. I have borrowed a total of $600 from them. I have $360 principal balance left with them. I recently contacted them to come to a settlement and set up a payment plan. I plan on paying back my debt to them 100%. After all the money and business I have given them I figured I would be treated a little better. . After hours of being put on hold and waiting for them to call me back I was denied a payment plan to split up my balance in 3 payments. If I wanted to set up a payment plan over three payments I would have to let my account go past due by failing to make my next payment. So they essentially wanted me to do something irresponsible instead of working with me when I'm trying to be responsible. They ended up agreeing to set up a payment plan in two payments on days of their choosing. I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and I was told no. They told me they would email there supervisor and they would contact me. If I would have waited to speak with them at there chosen time it would be too late to make a change to my upcoming payment. I ended up agreeing to there payment plan but not quite sure it will pan out. I also don't believe they are following the Banking and Financing laws of the State of Nebraska even though they claim to be.Desired Settlement: I just want to be able to speak with someone in charge to set up a fair and quick payment plan to take care of my remaining balance. I'm not trying to run from this loan and have made every payment to date.

Hello,

Review: On 7/2/15 I was incorrectly charged an extra finance fee of $120. My loan was fully paid off on 7/3/15 when they charged my account $520. I was told this was a system wide problem and I would immediately be sent a $120 refund check in 7-10 business days. I have not received the refund.Desired Settlement: Immediate billing adjustment.

Review: I APPLIED FOR A LOAN OF A HUNDRED DOLLARS AND SPOKE TO A CUSTOMER REP SHE ENSURED ME THAT THE LOAN I APPLIED FOR WAS APPROVED. ABOUT 10 MINS LATER I GOT AN EMAIL SAYING THAT THEY CANNOT APPROVE MY REQUEST FOR ANOTHER LOAN AT THE TIME TO TRY ONE OF THEIR OTHER LOAN PARTNERS. SO TWO WEEKS LATER I STARTED GETTING PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS SAYING MY LOAN IS DUE. EVEN WHEN I SIGN ONTO THE WEBSITE IT STATES I HAVE NO CURRENT LOAN WITH THEM.Desired Settlement: THAT I DO NOT OWE THEM MONEY AND TO STOP CALLING ME.

Sierra Lending is more like LOAN SHARK Lending. I needed to borrow 600.00 and just found out they are charging me 270.00 intrest on the Loan every month. But they don't bother to tell you that over the phone. No matter how bad you need money STAY AWAY from this Company.

Do not use this company. I have been paying on a $260.00 loan since April 2015, ($59.00 every payday) and I still owe 140.00 and it is now Nov 2015.

Review: Company quoted different amount for payment.I attempted to repay in full on due date but there was an issue with the amount.During the introductory call, the gentleman quoted a fee of $90.However when I called to schedule a payoff, the lady gave me a much higher fee.So I set up the payment and for some reason the payment didn't process on the due date. The company admitted to an error on their part, but still sent my account to "payment issues" or collections and informed me of a $25 fee, which they agreed to waive, even though it was Sierra Lending's fault. So now I have to make two very large payments to make up for this.

It's also very difficult to pay this company off.Payments have to be set up over the phone. Not a problem, right? Not if you have tons of patience.Normally I wait 18-20 minutes to be connected, then the phone hangs up or connects to an answering machine.I have to repeat this two more time before actually getting someone on the line. The first time I actually waited over two hours to speak to someone.I even tried the Live Chat, who asked "Who is you loan with?"

I really think there is something strange going on with Sierra Lending.I am really having a hard time trusting this company.Desired Settlement: Cancel my ACH and waive the remaining balance on my account.

Review: I borrowed $600 from sierra lending and $200 from [redacted], I was told that it will be $180 fee from Sierra lending and $60 fee, one time fee, they keep taking $180 and $60 out every two weeks for fees, I can't pay these loans off plus pay the same fees every two weeks, I did not agree on these fees being taken over and over, the lady was talking so fast and all I was worried about was getting the loans to keep my electric from being shut offDesired Settlement: I want them to stop the fees and take the last 3 fees and put it toward the loan amount so I can get this paid off

Re: [redacted] Case Number 11088224

Dear Sir or Madam:

We are in receipt of your 1/20/2016 email containing the complaint Mr. [redacted] to which this letter responds. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

Sierra Financial values [redacted] business and regrets that he is dissatisfied with our services. Short term credit is not an inexpensive way to borrow funds and is not suitable for long-term borrowing needs.

We have reviewed the phone call between [redacted] and our client service representative that took place on 11/30/2015. [redacted] was made fully aware as to how each of his loans work. The representative informed [redacted], “Each loan carries a 30% finance fee per due date which does not apply towards the principal balance, and in order to schedule to pay down or pay off your principal balance you must contact customer service no less than three business days prior to your due dates.“ [redacted] was read the terms and conditions for each loan separately and was asked if he had any questions afterwards. The representative informed [redacted] that he can pay off this loan whenever he decides, however the loan will automatically begin to pay itself down by 5% of the original principal balance beginning on the fifth due date in addition to his regularly scheduled finance fee until the principal balance is paid in full. The representative confirmed for a third time that [redacted] had a clear understanding on how his loans work before finalizing his loan agreements. Lastly, [redacted] agreed to the terms of his loans when he signed his loan documents.

We would like the opportunity to work with [redacted] to bring his account current. We advise [redacted] to contact a member of our collections department directly at [redacted] in order to schedule payment arrangements.

Review: I took out a loan of $500.00 I have paid $1854.50 to them and they are stating I owe them 300 more. They take out whatever amount they want 100-175 each time. NOW they gave another agency my account information and the other agency took out $100. This company is a scam.Desired Settlement: I want my balance closed and I want AT LEAST my $100 that the other comapny ([redacted]) took from me. If not, I will take this to court. I have paid them $1,354.50 in "fees".

Dear Sir or Madam:

We are in receipt of your 4/17/2015 letter regarding the complaint of

[redacted] to which this letter responds.

Sierra Lending values your business and regrets that you are

dissatisfied with our services. Short

term lending is not an inexpensive way to borrow funds and is not suitable for

long-term borrowing needs.

The bank we use processes our transactions for Sierra

Financial all at once, which includes 4 DBA’s: Iggy Loans, My Quick Funds,

Lend Me Now, and Sierra Lending. There is no way for us to delineate the

description of the transactions beyond one company and the decision was made to

use Iggy. This has since been changed to read Sierra, the name for this entire

portfolio of companies. The $100 debit you are referring to was applied towards

your loan with Sierra Lending in accordance with your contract. In an effort to

resolve the situation, and as a gesture of goodwill, Sierra Lending has waived

your remaining $260 balance and marked your account as Paid in Full.
