Unacceptable and bad experience with Timberline FinancialWe signed up for their program at which time they up sell a legal protection plan called Veritas (sp?)They will negotiate settlements for you and tell you they have "relationships" with all credit card companiesWe started receiving the phone calls from creditors and ignored mostWe did talk to Discover, at which time they told us they would take us to courtWe relayed this to Timberline, at which time they reassured us everything would be fineDiscover then subpoenaed us to courtWe faxed a copy of the subpoena to Timberline and they said it would be handled, and we did not have anything further to do until Timberline contacted usMonths go by, and one of our paychecks were garnishedThat is when I couldn't get my "negotiator" to return my callsWhen I did get someone else on the phone, I was told it was one of two discover cards we had, but it was now taken care ofI asked why the legal plan didn't kick in and they told me that I just bought a "basic" plan that didn't cover garnishments (never saw or heard of different levels to the plan).Next month hits and another garnishmentCall back and still can't talk to "Negotiator", and he just won't call me backGet him on phone a week later and its "Whoops, the settlement was for the other DiscoverThey just wouldn't settle on this oneCan you do a lump sum?" If I had a lump sum I wouldn't be using credit consolidationHe tells me he will call back the next Monday to see if I could up my payments to Timberline to renegotiate with DiscoverA WEEK goes by trying to tell him we could contribute moreI cant get himI call Discover card lawyer in charge of garnishmentThey had a couple of settlement offers and declined, and will not settle no matter what (and told Timberline this)They also had never heard of/from our legal plan, and the Subpoena was never responded to (Judge ordered the garnishment Discover asked for with no counter being presented)I finally get "Negotiator" on phone and tell him all this at which time he tells me he is going to check with the legal plan and see what happened and call me right backStill no "call right back", and I don't believe he willI have only gotten him on the phone when I ask to talk to a supervisor, and suddenly he becomes availableBreach of Contract? Scam? Negligence? Or not being told all the consequences when signing up? We were sold on the consolidation as being the way to pay off our creditorsWe were sold a legal plan in case we were called into courtAt no time were we advised that on top of the payment plans to Timberline, that we might also have to pay a garnishmentNot all our debt have gone into settlementFrom what I am now understanding, our other creditors could also garnish our wages on top of everything else Beware! Your payments to Timberline might not be all you have to pay to your creditors!!! They obviously can't stop garnishmentsAt this point Bankruptcy looks like a better alternative as we can not live with the garnishment money taken out on top of the a

My experience with this firm was pleasant in the beginningTheir representative was professional and very detailedI, however found a more acceptable avenue to fix my debt situation and therefore followed the firm's procedures to cancel my contractI even phoned my representative to advise him that I had used my right to cancel the contract and also make him very aware that it had nothing to do with the firm nor his performance My displeasure has been with the repeated phone calls since that time from the firmI made it very clear on the 1st call that I was statiified with their performance but that I chose to follow another courseSince that time more calls ahve been received, to which I have notified them to cease calling

Timberline Financial has been great to me, their service has been great and everything was explained to me well by my representative So far so good, I would recommend their services to anyone struggling to pay their credit card bills

Coclaims to help payment of credit card balance by negotiating lower balance and lower payment terms Since signing up for their service as client # --- they do not respond to my phone calls or fax letters I have received letters from one vendor ( [redacted] ***) one of which offered lower termsTimberline says to not respond to communications from vendorsI sent them a copy of letters receivedThey do not respond The bank is proposing legal action against meTimberline should take care of this problem in accordance with our agreement

I have called times since November [redacted] looking for my refund of about $ Each time I call in talk to someone they say it is in the mail or they will process it in to days but I have not received any of my money back or any resolutionPlease help me with this awful company and how they do not provide customer service and have stolen my money without giving it back to me as they should have since I've cancelled the program in accordance with my contract

In August dollars was taken out of a my checking account by this company to start a debt resolution accountHowever I decided to cancel my contract with this company within the designated time frame, and was promised a full refundAfter several phone calls to the company, it is now going on two months and still no refund

I received a piece of mail that "pre-qualified" me for a $20,dollar loan at 2%I realized that was bogus, but decided to check them outMy debt was kind of our of control because I had been caring for my mother who has terminal cancer and I was unable to work the hours I used toSo...the debt accumulated to over $20,
I called them and was put through to a very clinical man who retrieved all my general information and informed me that a "loan specialist" would be in contact with me
Fast forward hours and I get a call from Demi M***Her sales pitch started at the first "hello" to the final "goodbye"Every question I asked she answered robotically "That's a good question ***"She proceeded to act like my best friend and ASSURED me that any negative remarks on my credit report would POOF! disappear once my debt was settledI was very apprehensive and she did her best to sway me to the "dark side"
Finally it workedI signed the contract and agreed to a monthly paymentI really should not have done that and I should have done my homework first
Almost immediately, I regretted my decision and emailed Demi back and told her I wanted to cancel the contractShe went in on me! She belittled me for not being "responsible" and not taking care of this debt, etc
I mailed and scanned a Cancellation Form that was in the contractAnd I put an end to our dialogue; as it was just a rant of insults at this point (on her end, not mine)
Even though they received the Cancellation Form over a week ago, they took out over $out of my checking accountLuckily, my bank was able to 'sop payment' on that withdrawal
This was a nightmare! I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with this shady companyIf you do, be careful, they have sticky fingers

Customer service not availableNo one is answering the phones! Cannot get a person on the line!

Similar story that I've seen other people had: I was baited with a promise of a pre-approved consolidation loan, but then told I didn't qualify for itBut they have this better option, debt negotiation/resolutionIt sounded too good to be true, and I even asked, "what's the catch?"My consultant, Benjamin, didn't explain the entire process and tried to rush me through signing the contract so that I couldn't read itHe even had me sign for my husband, which I thought was shadyAs I'm trying to keep up with him, but still read some of the contract, I asked him how long it would take for my creditors to be paid, and when he said 4-months I was really upsetHe had never mentioned this beforeMy husband and I both have credit scores, and didn't want to take a big hit to our credit, but he assured me that it would dip initially but then come right back upI still wasn't comfortable with this, so I looked up the company on Revdex.com, and proceeded to read about all of the problems others have had with Timberline getting the creditors paid, and with collection notices and constant hasslingI had already filled out the contract paperwork by this time, but hadn't finished the "compliance call" where I needed to answer some questions from some other guyI told Benjamin that I had doubts about doing this, and wanted to speak with my husband before finalizing anything (if you'll recall, hubby never actually agreed to anything since Benjamin had me sign for him)Benjamin tried to convince me to go ahead and finish the process because there is a five day cancellation allowed, but I refusedWe decided not to do the program, so I immediately called Benjamin and left a messageI also sent an email stating that we didn't want to participateI received no response, so I tried again the next day with another voice mail and another email asking for confirmationThis guy had my bank account information and a signed contract, so I was really worried about the charges going throughThis was a Friday, and I didn't want to go into the weekend without putting a stop to this, so I called the main customer service lineThey couldn't help at all, other than to send Benjamin another message to contact me before the end of the day, which he did not doI then found the cancellation form from the contract, and faxed it to the company and to Benjamin's number, requesting an urgent replyMonday came and still received no response, so I left another voice mail, called customer service again, and finally sent another email asking for confirmation and explaining that the reviews here were one of the reasons for us backing out, and that I would be making a review here as wellThis finally got a response, and this is what he said, "you only need to cancel if you sign up, you did not complete your compliance callIf you would not like help getting out of debt I would appreciate you stop contacting me." If he had just sent a simple message back right away with the first half of that, I would not have needed to continue contacting himTalk about unprofessional! I'm still not comfortable with them having my information, but I don't know what else I can do...I already had my bank put a stop payment on my account for charges from them

The representative that contacted me was pleasant, but tended to talk fast I followed up with some questions via email to clarify how the program would work In the end, I found another company that offered me a better solution for me I emailed the timberline representative to let her know, and in her response back to me she made the assumption that I was doing nothing She then sent me another email providing further marketing for timberline I responded and clarified that I had gone another route and didn't need anything from timberline To which I received a rude email from her Remains to be seen if she is done contacting me I am done responding to her

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANYThey advertise as a "debt management company" they aren'tThey are a lazy settlement companyI was told that when I signed up for the program that I would stop paying my enrolled creditors and that they would reach out and pay them every monthNot the caseFor months they did nothing but take my moneyI finally got sick of seeing all the missed payments on my credit and I cancelled with them in MarchI signed up in the beginning of JanuaryI signed my notice of cancellation March 16th and I was told that I would be contacted to confirm my cancellationNobody ever called, finally I called on April 5th, They told me that I would be receiving my money back in check form in 7-business daysWell it is now April 19th, and I received NO CHECK! I called today and basically asked what the hell is going on and where is my moneyI was told that my cancellation was still being processed and that if I wanted my money I WOULD HAVE TO CALL *** *** *** myself and I could have it transferred into my bank account in 1-business daysSo I called *** and they told me that Timberline Financial NEVER called them and that the account is still activeSo once again I had to go through the cancellation process with a service rep (***)and she said it takes 1-business days to process this cancellation and then in another DAYS We will mail you a check! Lies lies lies and more liesSERIOUSLY DO NOT EVER CONTACT THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE LAZY AND THEY DO NOTHING BUT TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!
