I spoke to the technician on this and he stated this was how the installation had to be done in order to create access for himself. I looked at the photos and I do not see anything wrong with this system, yes every house is different, but so is every technician and this tech prefers square holes...

rather than round. I would be happy to send the tech out if the was a system incorrectly installed or there was workmanship here, but I do not see any issue at all. As I stated to you on the phone, the proposal you received is a digital copy of a standard system and not how every system will look, even on our website every system looks different. Again please refer to our warranty because this is something we cannot change or repair unless there is an actual workmanship warranty. Our warranty clearly states there is a charge for labor due to the warranty covers the fan component only, Radon away does not cover our labor and technicians are paid per job. If the fan goes out less than one year, it is $149.00 and over a year it's $199. I am sorry, but this is highly common in...

the Radon Mitigation industry and the only way we do not charge if it is due to a workmanship issue. Depending on what location and fan you have you are able to mail in fan for replacement to save on the cost, but that will depend on those two things I stated. I am sorry there is nothing we can do about these fees. Just like when Midas offers a free muffler, they will give you a free one, however there is a labor charge to put it on. charge a service fee for the labor because our techs are paid per job not hourly or salary and those fans are through the manufacturer, and they do not cover our labor. The fans are only promised to last 2-7 years on average, but if we find it's a workmanship issue that is something I will waive fee on. I will reduce the fee for you and make sure to speak to tech that comes onsite and make sure it's not a service issue. The reason the fans cost less in the stores are because they only come with a 90 day warranty unless installed by a radon mitigation company and they also are built different and less efficient.
