I ordered the Featherweight 13.5 lbs. Wheelchair and received it only to find that the chair wheels cannot gain traction on a flat surface when I am seated in the center of the chair with my bum against the backrest. I am asking for a refund and return shipping to be paid as the item arrived not as described and is not something I can use to get around in.

They had me make 3 videos to show what I was talking about and found all 3 unsuitable but refused to define what would make an acceptable video to show the problem I am describing and stated that I made the last video as I was requested to (the first 2 videos were not great, the last one showed the issue while you could see me in my entirety as well as the surface I was on). I was told it looked like I was turning the wheels wrong yet they refused to tell me what the correct way to turn the wheels would be.

There is no weight or size minimum listed on the product description. I had no way to know that this chair would not be able to be mobile because of my stature. I am a small, but still adult sized (5'6 and about 110-120 lbs.

I expected this chair to work as my others do, with me seated squarely in the center and to the back and that regardless of how I turn the wheels they propel me in the corresponding direction (rather than just spinning with little to no movement).

They offered for me to pay to return ship it so they could 'test' is, but refused to define by what objective standards it would be evaluated and refused to address the fact that my weight, or lack thereof, is a factor that needs to be considered because there was NO warning that this chair is only for heavier people. There is a max weight limit so its reasonable to think if there was a minimum weight requirement it would be listed.

It is humiliating to be repeatedly asked to make videos for these guys and then be told I am using a wheelchair wrong and to be held to an impossible and undefined standard to show them whats going on.

Hello, I placed the order on Oct ***, on October *** I sent an email asking if my item has shipped, the next day I'm told they do not have the item that was listed on their website and if I wanted a different item or refund. I asked if they have the same size item but a different brand I'm interested, but they never responded to my several emails after that and also not issued a refund.

As of the time of this complaint filling, they still advertise that they have in stock the items that I've ordered.

Why did it take for me to contact them to ask where my item is, if I would have forgotten about it then they would have never contacted me and kept the money.

This is a very dishonest business.

If you do a search for the tires, the first option on google is the business in question, if you clock on the link it takes you to a page where you can order the same ite that I was told they do not have.

Why are they still advertising something they said they do not have for sale?

It takes 24 to 48 hours to update on google

May , 2018- Placed and paid for my Original Order $ 778.00

June *, 2018- Informed they no longer could provide the chair I originally ordered, however, offered a comparable one, I agreed and patiently waited.

June *, 2018- Shipment confirmation received

June , 2018- Received Chair, disappointed due to the fact the chair was too large and was not in any fashion comparable to the one I originally ordered.

June , 2018- Requested and Receive return authorization

June , 2018- Return product paying the freight myself over $100 dollars followed every step in the Return authorizations email provided UPS tracking number.

September *, 2018- Call customer service to ask about my refund, it was approved and just must have slipped the credit departments mind? Was assured they would process post haste.

September *, 2018- Called to request my refund was not provided any positive information. Can not tell me when they will refund my money. Per Janice A,

I called every day after that and was always given some excuses as to why the money has not been refunded.

October , 2018- I am more than a little bruised from the abuse I'm experiencing. I need some assistance.

First let me count the days I have been waiting for my refund: 107 calendar days or 82 Business days. Whichever way, it always comes back as BAD BUSINESS!

Let me go a little further; the people that order the items from this company need them. Am I correct when I say, “money doesn’t grow on trees? In fact, it is darn right hard to come by.

By the way, just in case you missed the fact that “1800-wheelchairs”, targeted market just so happens to be people already struggling in one way or another be it physically, mentally or emotionally.

It has sadly become, business as usual, to step, push, cheat and steal from each other. Anything to get that, “Oh mighty dollar".

It is just so reprehensible that this Company profits from such Predatory actions. How do they sleep at night?

I was not surprised to learn that I am not the first and sadly I’m sure not the last to have been taken advantage of, they have taken money that is not theirs, and I want it back. My mom still needs a wheelchair, I continue to wait for this company to either find morals or just do as they agreed and provide my refund. I am just so sad that this is how I and according to Revdex.com complaints, thousands of other customers where treated. Shame on them.

This is the firs timer I hear about this ill make sure to call the customer and resolve it ASAP

I am writing this review, the first time I have ever done so, to epxress my extreme frustration with this company AND to hopefully alert anyone else, not to do business with this company.
Simply out, I have been seeking a wheelock for my father in law's wheelchair. The old one broke and I have been working hard to find a replacement as the fialure has resulted in him falling 7 time alone oin the past week.
We began our journey over 2 weeks ago. My wife spoke to what we thought was a very helpful agent. She told the agent the part we were looking for, the make and model of the wheelchair and we ordered it. When the product was devliered, it was the not even for a wheelchair, but rather, for a walker. Not even close. I called an infomred them that this was not the corrrect part and asked for an RMA. That RMA took 4 days to arrive. They also told me that I would have to pay a restocking fee, for something that wasn't close...Still waiting for a label, so they still have my money for this order.
I then went on their web site and fond the product I was looking for, and ordered it. Their web site has saud order was processing since last Thursday. Today is the the followig Wednesday and it is still saying processing. I called, and was infomred that the porder had not in fact been placed, and it would take anbother 24-48 hours to process and then ship.
After explaing the urgnet need tot he agent, I asked her what I could do to move things faster. Her sponse was "Wait". I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. TERRIBLE customer service. TERRIBLE systems and most importantly, TERRIBLE attitudes. Theyt should be ashamed of themselves.

My order for wheelchair was canceled because product ordered was “not available” that was determined 1 week after they charged my credit card. I’ve been waiting another week and still no credit received!!! Left4 messages for return call and they are ignoring me.
Schlock organization. Stay away from them.

This company is horrible! We ordered an electric wheelchair for $2899. They took the money from our account then sent us an email saying the chair has been discontinued. A week later and still fighting with them to get the money refunded!

This business person is lying. I have transcripts of my live chat with them saying they gave us a refund yesterday, nothing to do with our bank. The money is still NOT in our account. People need to be warned NOT to do business with them!

I called this company again today because we were told the funds would be back into our account in 24-48 hours... they are still NOT there! Now I’ve been told to wait until Monday. Am I holding my breath? No... this company lies and no one should try to do business with them!

1-800Wheelchair.com has the worst return policy ever! The majority of their items are either non-returnable or incur a restocking fee. I purchased 2 Drive lumbar cushions as a caregiver for 2 elderly men. The cushions are uncomfortable and I am unsure why anyone made them in the first place. I wanted to either return them or exchange them for a product that might work better. Anyway the 1-800Wheelchair "customer service" representative agreed to the return of "non-returnable" items because they were unused. She was unable or unwilling to suggest a replacement product. I agreed to pay the return costs, but then she decided to slap a 15% restocking fee. I find this unacceptable.
My advice to purchase accessibility items - either find a site that has a liberal exchange/return policy or try to buy locally! It is impossible to determine what will or will not work without seeing the item and returns and exchanges are everyday occurrences. I do not recommend 1-800Wheelchair.com either for their products or service!

at 1800wheelchair We try to help every customer, on cushions we have a no return policy due to hygiene issues, we tried making an exception here because the customer claimed that he never opened it, we still have to send the cushions to our Quality control department to check if its in fact not used therefore we have a 15% restocking fee.
We have the policy clear on the site, we try to have the best product for all the customer and no one would like to get a cushion that someone else sat on even for a day.

My father ordered a power wheelchair on March 28,2017 and paid over $3300.00 for it.My father passed away on May 3,2017 and the chair was delivered May 25,2017.I sent an email requesting to return the chair and be refunded for the chair.I received a response 2 weeks later telling me to email Pinny S to make arrangements to return the wheelchair.I contacted Pinny and he replied saying they would take the wheelchair back and refund me minus the restocking fees and shipping.This was June 2017.With a lot of a stalling and delays on this company's part it took until later in September of 2017 for them to take the wheelchair back.They received the wheelchair back as I confirmed this with P and said he sent the request for the refund up to accounting.He provided me with an email to contact Evelyn in regards to getting the refund sent back to the Estate.I have sent 2 emails to Evelyn in October of 2017 and to this date have not had any response from this company in regards to the refund.I have also sent another email to their customer service February 2018 and again no response.
FYI:I have every email communication set to company and that I received back.
There is seriously something wrong with this picture as this has been going on for almost a year..The stalling and being non responsive to the requests for the refund.Is this how they make their money.I would never recommend this company to anyone.I should be given a full refund for the inconvenience and aggravation cause by this company.

I contacted this company regarding the wrong chair being sent, as well as delivery issues, on December 8, 2017. I spoke to ***, who stated that we can either return the chair, or get a refund for the features we were missing and the delivery. Since this is a power lift chair, I opted for the refund. I received an email (see below) from *** that day, saying that my refund would be processed. After two weeks, I called and spoke to another individual who informed me the accounting office was flooded and closed. I accepted that due to the inclement weather that was occurring across the US at that time. I called again approximately three weeks later, and received a response that it had been sent up to accounting, and we were just waiting on the warehouse to confirm. I called ANOTHER two weeks later and was told the accounting office had released the funds and to give it two weeks to hit my account. Again, 2-3 weeks go by with no refund, so I placed ANOTHER call, to which I told them either I received the refund in two weeks (so the cutoff date was 3/9) or I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. Nothing has been received.

I ordered a wheelchair and canceled it within 24 hours.. I was assured by the *** that my account would be credited in 3-5 business days because the order had not shipped. Its been over three weeks and I am still waiting for my credit. *** are trained liars, and given every conceivable excuse. I have been hung up on, lied to, and ignored. At the end of the day how do they live with themselves using and abusing people with disabilities. There are plenty of other reputable companies that sell they same products, and I would urge anyone not to get involved with this company, you will regret it.

Ordered a product from this company in November for Christmas only to be lied to several times about shipment. On Dec 22nd I canceled the order and as of now no refund and was just told my product would be shipped out within the next week and I advised them I did not want the shipment that I have already purchased and received it from another company then they said that I would have to talk to someone else for a refund and hung up. I will fight to get my money back as it was not cheap.

Horrible horrrible horrible company. I returned a telphone handset that did not fit my mother's phone. First, you have to call between certain hours to request the address to return the item to, then you need a return authorization number from a person who is only available certain times of day, then you finally receive an email with return instructions. It's an obvious attempt to get you to NOT return an item. This company lied to my credit card company and said the item was not returned. Fortunately I saved the postal receipt with tracking. Take my advice, shop elsewhere.

I purchased an electric hoyer lift on line from 1-800 wheelchair, for my mother who is physically disabled on July *, 2017. The name of the hoyer lift is BESTLIFT 400 HE FULL BODY PATIENT LIFT, OPTIONAL HYDRAULIC BACKUP, 400LB CAPACITY, GULDMAN/LIKO COMPATIBLE HIGH BACK W/HS- L 600LB/280KG. I didn't receive the package until 3 weeks. I put the hoyer lift together according to the manufacturer's instructions. I turned on the hoyer lift and it did not work. The lights came on, but still no movement. The hoyer lift would not move so I could not use this to get my mother out of the bed for a transfer into her wheelchair. I and one of the caregivers called on 8//17 for a replacement and walk through on trouble shooting to get the item to work. It was noted by one of the technicians from BEST Care that the item needed to be replaced. July from 1-800 wheelchair said that a replacement will be sent in 3-5 days. No replacement was sent. Called again for 1-800 to refund the $999.00 and send a return label to return the item. I also requested to speak to the manger Evelyn. I received no calls from the manager or from the manager from BEST Care. I requested for all correspondence to be sent via email. I started to receive emails on this in October 2017. I received a return label in October from 1-800 Wheelchair and sent the hoyer lift back to BEST Care. Before I sent it I made a video to prove that the hoyer lift was not working and how it was packaged in its original box. I also took pictures. After the item was returned I was told that I will not receive a refund because there was no damage. I sent several emails that the hoyer lift was not working and not damaged when I sent it. I asked for my money back as well as to speak to the manager. For months my mother has been without a hoyer lift and I had to go through more delays in getting my mother another hoyer lift.

I sent a check to *** in ***. I had changed my mind about buying and I changed my mind because they said it would be shipped 3 days. They said that they recieved it on the *** of Oct.2017 I never got it. So,..they said it wasn't sent so it would be no problem getting the money back. Today 11//2017 and no check.

I purchased a wheelchair cushion which was hard as a rock despite being advertised as memory foam. I spent $15 to return it to them. I verified thru *** tracking they received it on October ***. Placed an order on 10-*** -2017 for a bobcat scooter $734.00 and cancelled order 10--2017 before item even shipped. Called 11-*-2017 to inquire about my refund and was told the credit dept will process refund in 3 to 5 business days. They did not. Called again on 11-*-2017 and was told the same thing and they did not do the refund. Called again on 11--2017 and was told once again an email was being sent to the credit department as priority to do the refund which I know they will not do the refund. The order number is ***.
