Green Terra Homes filed bankruptcy taking millions of dollars with them.
There are many people who are victims of Green Terra Homes. The assets that they claim to have are close to $400,000.00 there are $400,000.00 in secured interests and there is no monetary assets to be distributed to those who are true victims. The CEO, *** is claiming that she is a creditor who deserves $790,000.00 and one of her family members *** (aka ***) is also attempting to claim $574,000.00 from the bankruptcy court. There are $4,000,000.00 in claims, if you subtract the CEO and family's claims there are still $2.5 million of money taken from innocent people. Please do not let these people own another business. There are a lot of people left in the lurch who put their trust in this company. People who spent their hard earned money on getting their property prepped in order to put the house they purchased on it. I had given the company $10,000.00, but I spent another $10,000.00 preparing for and getting ready for the tiny home to be delivered. I will be lucky if I see a dime.

Major roof leak into bedrooms. Damage to drywall, laminate flooring, wet insulation. Had to replace roof as GTH would not take responsibility.
Purchased a modular home from Green Terra Homes in April 2016. The house was on the property in June and I finally got occupancy in November to 2016. Three months later, ( February 2017) had a leak into the bedrooms. GTH came and did an assessment, climbed on the roof, scraped the snow off ( dented steel in the process). In April, came and replaced the steel on smaller module ( not the area where the leak was primarily from AND later discovered that the steel was put on incorrectly) and repaired damage to the drywall in the bedroom.
December of 2017, the leak was back full on! More severe damage to rooms. Contacted them again but they could not do anything until there was no snow on the roof. in May 2018 they said they came to the house without my presence and did an assessment. No follow up afterwards. I contacted two steel roofers to do an assessment..and both could not believe that this company was manufacturing homes. I contacted GTH to let them know that a knew roof had to be replaced. I received a quote of approx.8 0000 for the roof. There was no reply. I went ahead and replaced my roof. in October, 2018. House insurance would not pay for new roof, but they are covering $ 5000i internal damages.

Entered into a paid contract for Green Terra Homes to manufacture steel framing for a custom detached home in Aug 2017; nothing delivered to date.
In August of 2017 I entered into a contract with Green Terra Homes to manufacture the steel framing for a custom detached single family dwelling construction project for the price of $48,888.32. I paid that amount in total in August of 2017. Green Terra Homes later determined they were unable to complete the contract as written due to design oversights on their behalf. They have since charged an additional $16,611.00 for this contract. I have now paid $53,812.86 toward this contract, with the remainder due on delivery.

I received an email on 23 August 2018 stating that production delays were forecast due to the steel tariffs imposed by the United States and the resulting steel supply shortages. They assured me that they sourced steel from overseas and would be back in production in September 2018, with estimated completion in October 2018. They offered a $1000 credit towards my contract due to the ongoing delays, which was accepted.

On 6 December, 2018 I received an email stating "Green Terra Homes brand has ceased operations and there has been delays in our production." However it continued to state that under new management they "will be back in January and will be moving forward with production of all units per standard timelines."

I have attempted to contact their office multiple times via email and phone with no response provided.

Never gave us product or refund
We are trying desperately to find out what has happened here! We gave this company literally all the money we had, $49000. We can't reach anyone from the company, and now the website says "permanently closed" our build wasn't started at all. We requested a refund of our deposit, and were given an application to fill out and a timeline as to when we could expect a refund. We were also given notice as to the extended time period in which they would be closed during the holidays. Now they are closed! No way to reach anyone.

Green Terra Homes did not fulfill the promised contract they had with us. Nor was any money refunded, nor any communication received form them
We purchased our park model home in Nov 30, 2017 with a down payment of 20,000. in February 2018 we paid another 16,000 towards the home. The final stage of design was signed in August 2018 with the promise it will be delivered to the site in October 2018. At the end of September we were told that there would be a delay due to insufficient amount of steel. since then we tried to contact the company on multiple occasions, leaving messages by phone and e-mail, not once did we receive any reply.

I have a contract for a modular home and now the company seems to have disappeared.
I signed a quote for a modular home and sent a payment for $31,832.93 towards the home in September 2018. Over the following months, I had design consultations and made modifications to the plan. When I tried to contact them in January 2019 for an update, I found their contact info no longer working and their website has disappeared.

We bought a modular home and have paid according to the company payment schedule but we can no longer contact the company.
We purchased from Green Terra Homes a Modular Home (*** model) in December 2017. The order number is *** The sales rep was ***. We paid the 10% of the invoice amount to hold the 2017 price. The amount was $11,148.07 paid on December 19, 2017. Before going to engineering stage, we were required to pay another $16,722.10 in March 2018. To be lined up for production, we paid another $27,870.17 in May 2018. I have copies of the bank drafts. Our target delivery date was early fall 2018. On our end, we had cleared the land, dug the basement and poured the footings. On August 22, 2018, one day after our footings were poured, we received an email from Green Terra that there are Steel delivery and production delays. We were able to stop the basement wall construction at the very last minute. Green terra could not even guarantee a mid or late fall delivery. On September 4, 2018 my husband spoke with *** of Green Terra and was told that they have all the materials ready but meeting the mid-October deadline is out of the question. They agreed on a June 1, 2019 delivery. *** from Green Terra confirmed by email the push back delivery date of June 1, 2019. At our end, we incurred extra expenses to protect the footings from winter damage. We backfilled the hole and added bales of hay to some areas. The area also had to be pumped regularly. In October, I touched base with *** regarding the finished and she emailed me back with our most recent working list. That was October 9, 2018. On January 12, 2018- I emailed ***, *** and *** (designer)to confirm the June 1, 2019 delivery date but received no response. I tried phoning the company's toll free and 613 numbers but the lines were busy all the time. I tried their website but it is no longer there. I emailed *** and received an auto-reply that they are not taking new clients and if we are existing client to reply to the email with a few information (name, address, telephone number, item ordered, amount paid) However, the email also states that they are not monitoring responses! Today, January 14, I printed my response and sent to Green terra by fax which went through.

We have spent a year working on this project and have paid a total of $55,740.34. We want a refund of all monies paid.

Internet webpage shows that the business is permanently closed.
We have been unable to reach anyone there as it says all this malboxes are full.
We have paid Green Terra Homes in Trenton, Ontario over $10,000 via e-mail money transfer for the design and build of a new Tiny Home on Wheels. The last discussion we had was that we need to send more money and that they would be going on their usual December break and be back in the office Jan 7, 2019. We have tried to reach them by phone and all mailboxes are full. We have sent all contacts we were given e-mails but all are bouncing back as undeliverable.
We need your help desperately as this is our life savings
Please Help!!

Company Does not respond and has stolen money from me.
I purchased a tiny home in June 2018 full cost via their website and started the process of designing the home. Total cost $9,540.00. Communication was always on and off again. Eventually there was no communication. I had to "inquire about a build" directly from their website. Someone got back to me and stated "As you may be aware based on some of our communications in the last few weeks, we have had to deal with a few challenges over the last few months including a shareholders disagreement and shakeup , and as a result the Green Terra Homes brand has ceased operations and there has been delays in our production. As a result of all this, a reorganization process has commenced and will finalize over the next 90 days as the process moves forward.

The good news is that the new management and ownership will be coming on board as of January 2019. We are and will remain closed for our annual winter break in December as planned and will be back in January and will be moving forward with production of all units per standard timelines. Your unit is scheduled to start in January.

However, we would like to take this opportunity to confirm whether you wish for us to continue with your unit or if you would like to withdraw your unit from production. Attached is a refund request form. Please let us know how you wish to proceed so we can advise new management to keep you in the top of production list.

If a refund is requested the new management will be advised and will process the refund requests after January based on the terms and timelines outlined in the refund policy.

Please note that our offices are closed as stated for the scheduled winter break until January 7th . We have limited access to email during this time but will be monitoring responses and forwarding them accordingly to the right departments. Phones are not monitored during the winter break, so any questions please use email.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation during this transition period and in assisting in making this process as smooth as possible for everyone."

Of course NO ONE communicated this information at all. Tried contacting them again. Saw that the website was under construction and now just not visible. You cannot contact them any other way through email. They just will not respond at all. Waited months and months for this supposed tiny home with nothing left to show for it.

Due to lack of company service and communication, I filed a formal request for a refund of my deposit to which nothing has been received.
I made a deposit on February 6. 2018 for the amount of $25,629.00 for a modular home, Quote #***. My sales agent was ***. Over the course of the next nine months, I made every effort to contact and work with my designer "***" to arrive at a viable floorplan, but due to the lack of communication and poor service from Green Terra Homes, I finally ended up requesting a refund (by email) in October, and then formally submitted their company request form on November 6, 2018. After many attempts to find out the status of my refund, the only communication received was from their Founder and CEO, ***, stating that they were on a "skeleton crew" for their winter closing period and that my request had been received and was being processed. Having not heard from anyone by the new year, I began my efforts to contact them once again only to find that their phone had been disconnected, their website (which had been 'under construction" now taken down, and that their email addresses were not being recognized.

I purchased a Mobile Home, put down their required $45,000 to start engineering - haven't heard back from them since - they are closed.
In August 2018 I was informed I needed to provide them with $25,000 to even begin the project with them. They gave us a 10% discount off the regular price and then offered an additional 13% if we sourced all materials (other than walls and ceiling / roof) and we were told by the salesman we would get credits for what we would be purchasing, for example we purchase an upgraded shower stall, they would give us a credit for the value of their standard shower. In all, I purchased thousands of dollars of materials / product such as a toilet, shower, flooring, stove, direct flow water heater, lighting, etc. all of which are in their possession.

In late October / early November we were told by our "Customer Service Manager" that we would need to give them an additional $20,000 for us to be locked into a build schedule, we sent them the additional monies. We worked with the Customer Service Manager and the Engineering team, signed off on our floorplan and expected that building would begin in December.

I contact them at the beginning of December, leave messages, no response, then was unable to leave more messages as their mailboxes were full - no one was answering a single phone call or responding to voicemail messages. I send emails to my main two contacts and the emails bounce back. I immediately drive to Trenton only to learn that the company is "On Their Annual Holiday Shutdown and will be returning January 7th, 2019".

I call January 7th, no one answers the phone, I try sending emails, they bounce back, I go to the website and they have a notice that the site is under construction and that "We are Closed for Restructuring".

I spoke with the police and they said this is a civil matter unless I can confirm that there are several people who have experienced the same issues, in this case, it could be considered malicious activity and the police would then get involved to investigate potential fraud.

It is a sad situation for me as the monies being used for this was an inheritance I received from my father who asked that I use it to have a vacation property for the family to ensure we stay connected.

Now I am out of this money, approximately $50,000 in total and nothing to show for it.

Green Terra is either going bankrupt or is so bad at communicating, that they've left their customers in the dark believing they are.

Purchased a framing kit. Kit was cut and delivered, after delays, at the wrong size from what was ordered with pieces the wrong sizes as well.
I made a downpayment on October 7th 2017 to start the process of designing and ordering a custom framing kit for a 672 square foot building. The total cost of the structure was just over $13,000. After some back and forth with the in-house designer I signed off on a 42'x16' building and that was sent to an engineer so they could get stamped plans. I then went ahead, with an engineered slab drawing from Green Terra, and poured my foundation slab at 42' x 16' and informed Greenterra that the slab was poured. They received this email. The slab was done by a reputable contractor and was done legally on a building permit and was inspected and given the greenlight to proceed with construction. The kit then arrived at my location in March of 2018, months later than I was originally told. I had arranged for a crew to be here to build over a weekend as I was told these things go up really quick. We quickly learned as we started to assemble that the designer had made the kit about 4" too small and that the error was going to mean that once the building was clad the foundation slab was going to be exposed to the elements without some custom flashing being made. I reported the error to Green Terra and was told that it is the size I ordered although it wasn't which is proven in multiple emails. As well, the kit was missing pieces, we had to cut every piece of steel above every window and door as they were all too long, we were short screws, the assembly instructions were completely illegible with dimensions overlapping over one another, and more. It was a nightmare and required multiple trips to town to purchase parts as well as special deliveries from Green Terra of pieces that they'd miscut. This resulted in long delays on our jobsite and me paying labourers for lost hours. When I reached out with my complaints I was told there was nothing they could do and that it's normal for a builder to have to recut studs. ***, the client manager for Green Terra, says they now note that in their plans and apologized as they didn't at the time. Something I found frustrating as I paid extra money for a pre-cut kit. As far as the slab goes she says we poured it at the wrong size yet we gave them the size that we poured it at in advance, months before they delivered the kit and they missed it. To make up for the huge headache I suggested that maybe they could help me out with a discount on the exterior cladding I needed to still buy and they said they couldn't. I've been nothing but polite and shown the email exchanges to the client manager to show that it's Green Terra's mistake and they eventually stopped returning my emails. Last week I suggested that if they didn't respond to me that I was going to file this complaint and I then received an email from ***, the C.O.O. of Green Terra, telling me that the company is beginning bankruptcy proceedings and good luck with my complaint and that he was going to block my email from corporate. I responded saying thanks for getting back to me and for giving me information regarding the bankruptcy. He then responded by calling me a cyber bullying troll and that I have no business assembling a kit and that I must have half a brain. Quite a frustrating email to get after months and months of trying to get some type of answer/compensation for a $13K nightmare that they screwed up for me. Worst customer service of my life.

Green terra has terrible communication and customer concern. We feel unheard or valued as consumers without a home and no where to go as of Dec 1.
We began speaking*** at green terra in Oct '17 we exchanged emails often about different mobile homes& costs as the website was confusing, images seen didn't match the blueprints that appeared when chosen. She never mentioned to us that she was the receptionist learning other positions. She was our easy contact as there wasn't at this point mention of reaching anyone else. We settled on the model we wanted in early '18 & were clear about our timeline of end June as a move in date. We put our down payment that was advised to get the process started & to get the price from '17 as the prices &website had now changed. We were never directed to a page for timelines, payment schedule or anything. We simply discussed everything with *** until she mentioned in Feb that if we put deposit we could get our consult with the designer ***. We said at that time that we wished she would have told us sooner being that we have a timeline for end June, we sent the money immediately. March 1 we sat with *** , gave him specific detail about what we wanted & that we didn't want to waste time going back and forth to meet our deadline. He said as long as we got back to him quickly with our adjustments things should move quickly & we would be fine. I asked several times, annoyingly so about our timeline & could this happen, not once did he say it couldn't. Our first draft we received was nothing at all what we discussed with him during our session it was as thought he just threw it together that morning, it wasnt received until March 21 many days late. Last draft came Apr 6th .We were always chasing . Apr 17 we had aphoneconversation with sonia, discussed our interior design during this call we again mentioned our timeline, she didn't say anything other than to get our house into the production phase we needed to have had 80% paid & felt badly no one had told us. We made payment immediately. After weeks sent an email about how things were going & our deadline, that we were going to be without a home end June. This time we got a reply stating they weren't going to meet our timeline & that *** had told us this long ago aswell as had given us the payment schedule from the beginning of our dealings with her, none of this was true but the fingers were being pointed at us!She then directed us to a link to green terra timelines but as previously mentioned the website changed from when we began in October 2017 to now may 2018. Now with this updated version the breakdown of timeline would make it impossible for ours to be met. The timeline said that from 80% paid we were now in the production phase of 8-12 weeks. We found a temp home for July, waited for our home expecting it to be done in September based on this new timeline. Weeks going by, summer passing, nobody reached out, our 8-12 weeks should be coming up. Checking for updates every few weeks, it always seemed something was ordered, they were waiting. We always asked for a time frame which was always given with a round about non answer. In August we received a generalized email about the steel being back ordered because of the tariff problem & them finding a new steel provider & how this has now pushed back production by 8-12 weeks, they had a shipment expectedmidSeptember & they were going to work double shifts to get caught up. A child has been displaced schools & we have been living out of suitcases. Our lives in storage. We waited, no information sent so again we email second week of October to be told that the shipment arrived first week of October so 3 weeks late and that the 8-12 weeks behind that was before mentioned in the email in August about this delay was just a generalization, we have NOT been given a finish date or any detail about OUR PROJECT! OUR HOME. We are now having to be out of our temporary home for December 1 not knowing if our home will be done or not & no where else to go this time.

Company has not responded to request for refund on an application that I never received any information on
I applied for financing and apon application, had to make a "first payment". After I had not heard any information on my application and when attempting to contact there qas no response whatsoever. The payment qas processed on july 23 for the amount of $391.03. Order umber *** The payment was processed on my ***.

Green Terra failed to comply with their refund policy and deadline promises in regards to the $16,560.50 refund due following the request submitted.
We were in contract with Green Terra and had submitted a deposit for a home purchase in February 2018. Green Terra was unable to follow through with the home purchase agreement and so we went through the required channels of requesting a refund of the deposit on May 7, 2018 that was made within the approved timeline of 90 days to do so. We complied with the request to provide information to complete that action including submitting a blank check and the refund request form. We were given a date by which to expect the refund of July 9, 2018. The refund was not provided by that date. We were then told various times and by various people that Green Terra was experiencing staffing shortages/vacations, restructuring and technical issues which was delaying the process. We were notified that those issues had been resolved on Aug. 9, 2018 and that we would absolutely be getting our refund by August 15, 2018. Since then, we have not received the refund and have not been communicated with, even ignored by Green Terra. We have gone as far as sending a certified letter which requested response. We were provided notice on that the certified letter was delivered on Sept. 14, 2018 by the *** that the letter was in fact delivered to Green Terra and still have not received response. Besides a few brief contacts with office receptionists and one text stating that someone was taking care of the issue we have not been communicated with regarding this issue. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Extremely poor customer service and unresponsive. Paid in-full for house and garage frame kits almost a year ago. Still not delivered with no ETA.
I have been dealing with *** I paid in-full for a house and garage frame kit almost a year ago. The product has still not been delivered and nobody responds when I ask for a shipping ETA. *** referred me to their build and delivery timeframes which they are WAY outside of. She is unable to provide an update on when I can expect my products to be delivered. She no longer provides any responses to me.

Due to poor service and communications, I cancelled my order with Green Terra Homes on June 14, 2018. I was promised a refund of $38,824.23.

The company's *** promised me a refund within 30 business days.

Received payment but never delivered
On September 1,2017 I signed and paid for quote *** for a total of $10,567.95. This was for a prefab steel garage.
I was informed at that time that it would take 10-45 days for design, then go into the production queue, and 10-45 days for production. I checked in a few times and was informed that it was in production.
I have been denied a refund and nothing has been delivered.

Initial Business Response /(1000, 11, 2018/08/21) */
Client has been emailed pictures of product and advised that unfortunately due to steel delivery issues we have some pieces that have been on back order and until we receive we cannot complete the order. It is a small section but needed to provide the structural engineering as required by the structural engineers responsible for the structures integrity. Client did not respond to our email with pictures and explanation and instead initiated this complaint. We waited to respond to see if the items would arrive but they have not yet. We cannot refund as it is a Custom order and everything has been fulfilled fabricated and delivered, last item is has been acquired, cut to custom specifications and we are waiting for said same so that we may make needed adjustments, fabrications as required by engineering. All orders for our engineered commercial grade galvanized steel frame projects are one of a kind and as noted in contract and website, non refundable. We cannot submit the agreement as it has personal information on it but it stipulates the refund policy. We would be happy to submit to Revdex.com under separate cover not shown. Client can arrange to come and pick up the finished items but last item that had delayed the project is also vital and a keystone to the project, and will be needed for assembly. He has contact email to make arrangements ahead of time.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /(3000, 13, 2018/08/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The information provided by Green Terra Homes is false.
1 - They have never emailed me pictures of the unfinished product.
2 - They have never offered the unfinished, unusable product to me.

I do not find this answer from Green Terra Homes acceptable as it is dishonest and doesn't provide any resolution. To date they have shown no intent on ever providing a finished product ***.
