I had Septic Tank Service
Was told there are no cracks or leaks.

Had Septic Tank Service on 1/17 in 2019. Was told there are no cracks or leaks and in fair condition.
But on the receipt I see now has in poor condition I need repairs.
I'm requesting an updated receipt stating what the service person had said originally.

Desired Outcome

I would like an updated receipt stating what the service man had told me at the beginning

I was a repeat customer of A 1 Septic. However, in Sept of 2018 A 1 Septic installed a drain field for me and tore up the *** power lines in the process. They claimed the property was not marked correctly, however they made no effort to advocate for me against *** Energy. They simple told ***, "the customer is responsible for all damages." Now I have received a $2032 bill from *** Energy.

*** Energy claims the property was properly marked and has photos to prove it. Not only that, but the locate ticket used for the dig was expired, meaning the markings were old and faded. So A 1 Septic actually performed a dig on my property in violation of the rules that govern their industry, using markings that they couldn't even see.

I called my sales rep, Tom Brady at A 1 and he said "our contract protects us." I spoke with the manager, Freddy B, at A 1 and heard a similar line, "Our contract protects us, I shouldn't even have to deal with this." And the general manager, Emily C, in an email to *** " PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT THIS AGAIN, Any damage is always 100% the customers responsibility." You cost me $2032 because of your negligence and your response is "I shouldn't even have to deal with this?"

A 1 Septic has no concern for their customers. Who cares if the markings for the power lines are old and faded and the lawn has been mowed a few times, it doesn't matter to them if they destroy power lines, the customer has to pay. And if it was marked wrong, that doesn't concern them either, they can't be bothered to lift a finger to help the customer. THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE, PERIOD. That is their response.

A 1 Septic is a highly unethical company, conducting business with negligence and recklessness. I will never do business with this company again. No one should.

We attempted to Negotiate with *** Energy to resolve this problem. After spending weeks discussing the damages with duke energy. No agreement could be made. *** hires a third party company to do their locates and they failed to locate the lines properly which occurred in damage. We offered to *** energy to pay half the damages even though we were not negligent in any way. The customer is being billed by *** Energy and not by our company. We continue to battle with *** Energy to resolve this matter for the customer. I contacted duke again this morning and also the customer. *** refuses for my company to pay half.

Thanks

Customer Response • Feb 14, 2019

I was surprised to read in A 1's response how diligently they worked to protect my interest. I emailed the claims representative at *** to inquire why I was never informed that A 1 had offered to pay half. I learned what I expected. A 1 never made any offer to ***, but they did call to inquire what was the lowest amount *** would accept and they made that call on 2/13/19, after I had posted my review on the Revdex.com website. The offer to pay half was actually made to me on the same day, 2/13/19, after I had posted my review. I refused the offer. I will not pay for half of the damage that A 1 is 100% responsible for.

*** was kind enough to provide to me the entire email correspondence between them and A 1 Septic. ***'s first contact was 12/7/18. A 1's response copied and pasted from the email:

"Customer is responsible for any damaged with our signed contract. Please do not contact us again.

Have a good day"

Excellent effort A 1.

***'s second contact with A 1 was 1/18/19

A 1's response copied and pasted from the email transcript:

"Like I said BEFORE PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT THIS AGAIN. Any damage is always 100% the customer's responsibility. So again please do not contact us again and only contact the customer. This will be my last time responding to a email like this."

And later that day:

"The customer called us a few times and we told him we will not be paying for the damages since the contract states the customer is liable for all damages."

That is what you call attempting to negotiate with *** Energy? Way to go A 1, just tear stuff up and hide behind your contract.

When power lines are located, they are marked with spray paint on grass and sand. The locate ticket is only valid for 10 days. When it rains and the grass is mowed and the wind blows, the lines fade. A 1 Septic performed their dig 7 days after the ticket had expired. They tore up the power lines because their backhoe operator could not see the faded marks. *** has informed me this is in violation of F.S. 556.105, so A 1 has broken a law that regulates their business.

*** Energy has informed me that not only was the locate ticket expired, but their internal review shows that the lines were in fact marked correctly.

Now A 1 has made false and misleading statements to attempt to present themselves in a good light as they are being attacked in a public forum. So along with their negligence, carelessness, recklessness and law breaking, we can add deceitfulness.

As I said, I "was" a repeat customer of A 1 Septic. If this is how they treat repeat customers, think of how little they will care about you.

All of the email correspondence referenced has been sent to the Revdex.com to attach to this file and confirms all my statements.

The Revdex.com only allows one response, so I will not be able to respond to any additional lies from A 1 Septic.

I encourage the Revdex.com to drop the rating of A 1 Septic as they are obviously not a company with high ethical standards.

Correction to my original review. Emily C works at ***. The general manager at A 1 is Freddy B.

I paid for a service and was scammed the job was never completed properly
Paied $275 plus a $75 service call for my septic tank to be pumped due to it flooding my bath tub and A1 septic service came out and only pumped a portion of my septic tank and told me all the solids and grease left in my tank were was back from my drain field I dug up my lines and they were broken and dry and clogged with dirt no water could flow in or out of them I have gotten 3 additional companys to look at it and they confirmed it was never pumped dry like it was supposed to be.

Desired Outcome

I want the job done that i paid for and i want it done correctly

A-1 Septic Response • Jun 19, 2018

Customer needs to educate his self before he accuses anyone of scamming him. He has a bad Drain Field and it wont work properly until he replaces it. Also while my driver was pumping the tank because the Drain Field was bad it was back flowing from DF to septic. He should of been charged more than we charged because of the extra sewage due to bad Drain Field.

Customer Response • Jun 19, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The pipes to my drain field and the chamber they are connected to collapsed there is no way it could back flow from the drain field beacause it was dry no water could flow into the drain field. I am a very educated contractor with exerience in solid waste and water treatment facility opperation. Managment is unprofessional and I paid for a service that was not conducted to professional standards.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The driver that was sent out was very professional and confirmed exactly what I have said from the start. He did an amazing job on my tank and I greatly appreciate the time he took to do his job properly and professionally.
I have still yet to recive the contact information to the president of the company.and I have yet to recive the refund for the service call I was charged on top of the pumping fee.

A-1 Septic Response • Jun 21, 2018

Revdex.com please close this case. We went and pumped out his tank for him. He was told he will get a refund if we do the work for him. Revdex.com please do not contact us again regarding this case. This case is now closed

This company total Fraud trying get paid by extortion and theft of service. Were Contracted for service they did not performed and was paid for it.
I own 2 rental homes in Orlando, Fl which have septic tanks. This company was contracted for the service of emptying the septic tanks on each home. First house on 9/12/2017 and 2nd house on 10/21/2017. Both occasions they were paid over phone for the service total amt of $710. I live in NYS and couldn't verified service was done. As it turns out, they did not performed service and another septic company had do the service both homes in December 2017. In addition, when reached out them complaint septic was full in second house with no one living in it, I was told someone be over check it out. Someone did showed up at that property Dec 5 stated the pump was bad and gave me estimate over phone, this time will cost me about $1k. At this point I didn't trust them to do anything else and declined continue do business with them. Few days later I received a letter in mail at my home in NYS stating a lien was going be put on my property because I didn't paid their service charge of $175 and breached contract. I reached out them again trying find out what the heck they were talking about. I was told that because I refused paid them $1k install new pump and empty septic again with them I breached contract & had to pay the $175 service call estimate. I did explain to them and even email owner, David s*** about the issue several times explaining it is preposterous charge me service call charge I didn't had any knowledge off or knew of it whatsoever because that charge was never mentioned to me and was only told of it when refused do any more business with them. I did explained a service call estimate is not by any means or constitute a contract whatsoever, specially when I had absolutely no knowledge of it. Further more, not only they never told me of that charge ever, but I never signed or agree to anything over the phone either. I did gave them a bad review online stating the facts of the situation and was reached out by owner David s*** over phone demanding for me to delete my bad review or else....threatening put lien on my property for the service call estimate, using this as means of extortion to get his way, trying get further pay and for me to delete my unfavorable online review of A1 septic. I did refused to delete my review, since I stated correct and truthful facts. I do believe starting with owner David S, these people are a bunch of crooks using extortion and Fraud get pay for services they do not perform and get paid for to begin with. I have received another letter stating lien going be put in my property now for $275 because I did not paid the estimate and breached contract, this obviously Fraud and this company should be sanctioned and fine for defrauding customers. If anything, they were the ones that breached 2 actual contracts by not performing the services they were paid for therefore costing me more money when I had hire and pay again for the same service to a different septic company empty both tanks in my properties in Dec 2017. I do seek reimbursement of the $710 I paid them for the service they did not perform and also for them not to put any fraudulent lien on my property for their false claim "breached contract" which just extortion means for them collect money for doing nothing at all. I do not want these people continue their practices of defrauding customers by theft of service and do not want any other home owner go thru or deal with what I'm dealing with A1 septic. I do have proof of everything I have stated in this complaint, from receipts to email conversations with owner David S as well as the receipts of the other septic company for doing the Job A1 septic failed do in the 2 actual contacts I had with them of emptying my septic tanks, which they did not do. I can be reached by phone at *** and email: *** if any further questions or explanations are needed for this complaint.
Thank you so much in advance for the assistance in this matter,
Sincerely

Desired Outcome

I seek full reimbursement of the $710.00 I paid for service was not provided in the first place. In addition I seek an apology letter from owner David S and to desist on putting fraudulent "breach contract" LIEN on my property. I never had any contract with them other than the 2 was fully paid for the service they did not perform to begin with. Their claim of "estimate being a contract" is preposterous, specially when I had not knowledge whatsoever they were going charge me for a service call or anyone ever mentioned that to me prior of me refusing do business them anymore. Them trying get pay for doing nothing at all is FRAUD at the highest level.

A-1 Septic Response • Jan 08, 2018

A1 Septic is a proud member of the Revdex.com and even more proud for our 30+ years in business. The words and claims like fraud, extortion and theft that Mr. uses is strong and false. Please understand what fraud and extortion means before you use them. There was no contract. Mr. called our office requesting a pump out and we did just that. A few days later Mr. called for us to go back to his rental when and we arrived his tenants said they were still having backing up. We dug up the lift stations and called the owner and gave him a price to replace the faulty (Bad) pump. Mr. became very rude and hung up on us. We tried calling Mr. many times and got VM. We sent Mr. a bill for our time on digging up the lift stations and checking pump. He refused to pay and cursed at us and hung up again. We test all our customers with respect and ask to be treated same way in return. So to end this Revdex.com please close the case and Mr. feel free to contact us to make payment for the service call. Thank You and have a good day.
