Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:
Again this is a fine example of how well Traveler's looks into thingsI started my policy in January of not And also, no one from Travelers has set foot on my property ever and for half the time had my address wrong on the declaration pagesMain St, where ever that may be is not my addressIt is correct that I was sent Decloration pages and it was my understanding that the Mortgage Company required certain amount of coverage and that, that is what I had to haveI did not know that I could have a lower premium, which, when calling the Representative from Travelers they do not want to hear itI was told and I quote..."I am not comfortable with lowering it" then go on to try and get me to add my car insurance to lower itMaking it sound like that is the only way when in fact it is not!
Sincerely,
Jodi Fechtelkotter

A response was sent 12/8/2015:
Contactor provided an estimate that did not match Travelers, Mr*** discussed with the contractor his estimate and they agreed to charge $versus their original estimate of $4400. Mr*** is awaiting a revised estimate from his
contractor. Once that occurs Travelers claim can confirm the amounts and negotiate any differences. Although the process has not gone as smoothly as we all have wished, the claim representatives are sensitive to Mr***'s situation and apologize if their actions were not consistent with his expectation

A response was sent from Travelers 5/21/as follows:
"I am writing in response to the
inquiry we received concerning the
above captioned claimWe regret that Ms
*** is not pleased with the claim handling process or the liability
determination
This claim
was reported to Travelers by Ms*** on April 27, and was immediately
assigned for investigation and handling.
An initial statement was taken from the Travelers’ Insured driver, "***", on April 27, An initial statement was also taken from Ms*** on the same day.
In your
initial statement, Ms*** stated that she was backing from a parking spot
and the impact occurred between her vehicle and Mr*** vehicleShe stated
that she was all of the way out of her parking spot, stopped and ready to put
her vehicle into drive and move forward when she felt the impactShe did not
state that she ever saw the vehicle being driven by Mr**She stated that
there was one witness to the accident, but she did not have the information for
that witnessThe damages were scratches to her rear bumperShe provided three
close up photographs of the damage
In his
statement, Mr** stated that he began backing out of his parking spotAs he
was backing, he saw Ms*** vehicle in motion and, after coming to a
full stop, the impact occurred. Mr** states that he was more than half of the way out of his parking spot when he
stopped and the impact occurredThe impact to Mr*** vehicle was the rear
bumper, although the vehicle did not sustain any damage
On April
29, 2015, it was communicated to Ms*** that liability would be denied as
this was a word verses word situation in which both versions of the facts of
loss differ and Travelers must support our insured in the matterWe regret
that the conversation regarding the liability decision escalatedWe spoke with
Ms*** father, and discussed in detail the reasoning behind our
liability determination and her options for repairing thru your insurance
carrier and recovery options, subrogation and arbitration, that she might have
with them
On that
same day, she contacted Travelers back and provided us with the name of a
witness, ‘**’We contacted the witness and he informed us that he did not see
the accidentAt which time we advised Ms*** of this development and
reiterated our initial liability decision
On May 1,
2015, Ms*** contacted Travelers again and provided the name of another
witness, ‘***’We attempted to reach this witness several times and were
unsuccessfulWe then reiterated our liability position again and advised Ms
*** that if the witness came forth and was able to provide valid
information, we would take it into consideration into our investigation
We regret that this unfortunate
accident occurred, however we feel that we fairly investigated the claim and
reached an impartial liability determination, to include a timely investigation
of the facts and a review of all available evidence
Should you
have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me."

"While you are correct that this loss does not provide coverage because the condensation and moisture were present for more than days,
other reasons were also given for the claim denialAll of those reasons are listed in the coverage letter dated August 4, 2016, so I will not relist themYou mentioned in your letter you spoke to the *** Insurance Agency that acknowledged the coverage denial
I understand your opinion that the policy stipulations are too stringent and that they should be unlawfulSince coverage for your claim was denied I do understand your frustrationHowever, homeowners policies do not cover all of the conditions that can possibly occur in a homeCoverage grants and limitations are a function of underwriting and rating concerns that balance the benefits and cost of insuranceI’m sorry that in this instance, the moisture conditions in your home and the resulting damage do not come within the policy’s coverage terms."

A response was sent to ** *** 6/20/as follows:
"I have reviewed the notes from the account and have no record that you contacted us either by telephone or in writing and requested your
policy remain cancelledWe have adjusted the cancellation date of the policy as you are requesting and you now have a $balance due which has been communicated to our collections partnersNo information about the debt was communicated to any consumer credit bureaus
The reason for your policy cancellation as explained in your prior Revdex.com complaint was due to no Travelers Welcome Team interview to verify the rating information of your policyA change in billing preference would not impact your eligibility for a Travelers policy"

Claims adjuster gives you the name and number of a wholesale dealer that might be able to find a vehicle close to the price he will give youSeams a little strange they give you a wholesale dealer that can't find anything close to their estimate of your vehicle I even found similar but they were 3-thousand more than their estimate He wouldn't even respond after that

Travelers attempted to contact *** *** by telephone on January 7, 2015, to obtain additional information, however, a letter was also sent January 7, to request that same information
face="Times New Roman">"I’m
sorry we weren’t able to speak by phone today, however I wanted to follow up
the message I left you with a brief noteUpon review of your account, the
renters policy cancelled effective July 23, and the amount of $requested
from collections is the earned premiumI see that you have a home with us as
well for a residence in *** ** that is still active
and in forceIf you have moved coverage for this home, what was the exact date
you took out replacement coverage? With this date we can make any needed
adjustments."

A response was sent to ** ***, August 11, from Travelers Spokane WA Business Center as follows:
Thank
you for your recent additional inquiry to Travelers through the RevDex.com. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns
*** ***, we understand your position, however, at
this time we do stand by our original response regarding the additional needed
documentation and cancellation of the policy
We would be happy to review our decision again if you have
additional documentation to submitYou may submit either a property lease
agreement which was already in place, signed and notarized prior to the time of
the loss or a utility bill for the months leading, including and following the
date of loss in the name of *** ***Additionally, we would like to see
verification *** has either a non-owned auto policy or a personal automobile
insurance policy
While
I understand and empathize with your disappointment with our current procedures,
I cannot alter your policy at this timePlease feel free to contact me by mail
or telephone using the information above."

A response was sent 3/9/A review of the files indicates that on March 3rd *** Insurance Agency documented receipt of the proof we were seeking for repairs and the policy has been reinstated, without any lapse in coverage. Just one question to Mr*** is to please verify
the year his house was built, and contact information has been provided in this response letter for him to contact Travelers

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: After I received the information from the Company that came out and read thru the information, I called that company and spoke to the managerHe and I walked thru the file and I pointed out a number of things to the manager, like: The vent sits under the towel rack which means it is going to get wet, The pictures of the pipe and the piece he claims was not removes is the wrong pieceThe white pipe in the picture is what was removedThe picture of the garage ceiling clearly shows no hole in the first pictures but in the 4th picture there is now a hole, which the agent brokeHe also claims water damage from the toilet, that was there prior to us purchasing the house and had previously been repair by the prior owners as had all the other water damageThe agent also stated that the installation was "soaked" when he was here and his step ladder was wet from the water draining outThe agent also pointed out mold the hadn't been there when *** had come out to inspect the damageWhen the manager and I were finished speaking he stated," I will call Travelers and set up a phone confwith my agent, the company and yourself." The very next day we received a call from Travelers saying they were not going to do the confcall and didn't care what we could show the decision was final
They have yet to fix a single thing that has happened from our side porch to the bathroomI will not accept this response or any that is not them saying they will fix the damage.
Sincerely,

"Thank you for your recent
inquiry to Travelers through the Revdex.com. I appreciate having
the opportunity to address your reply in this letter
I would like to apologize for
any misinformation you may have receivedI can confirm the increase is due to
the lack of an available fire hydrant within feet of your home and that we
are unable to use a fire pond or the Saugatuck River as a substitute for a fire
hydrant
Thank you for your business with Travelers."

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: My agent NEVER said to me that this premium for my policy was a ESTIMATE verbally or in writing, and Travelers Insurance Conever said from the begining verbally or in writing that this was a estimate! Every bill sent to me said minimum amount due or BALANCE due not ESTIMATE due! I feel my agent and Travelers Insurance Cowere not and wasn't truthfull to me and mislead me from the start.

A response was sent to ** ***, July 25, from Travelers Hartford CT Claim Service Center as follows:
"
Please accept this letter
in
response to your correspondence to the Revdex.com dated July 18,
2014. I appreciate the opportunity to
review this matter and explain the handling of this claim
The above captioned loss was
reported to The Travelers Home and Marine Company (hereinafter referred to as
“Travelers”) on June 17, 2014. This loss
involved damage to a roof by a wind event.
The dwelling is located at * *** *** *** ** ***. Travelers has evaluated the claim under the
Homeowners policy (Form HO-10/ed.) that we issued to you, our named
insured
In response to your request we
have reviewed your inquiry. The claim
was called in on June 17, by a roofing contractor, *** *** ** ***”. During our initial contact with you on June
18, 2014, you stated that you had shingles “all over the yard”. You stated you were having chimney repairs
completed and the chimney person told you that he observed wind damage to the
roof.
We completed our on-site
inspection on June 19, 2014. You
confirmed the details from the initial contact and added that the roof was
original to the home built in 1999. As
part of our investigation we called the chimney repair person to inquire about what
he observed he stressed that he is not a roofer but he thought there may be
wind damage.
As part of our claim
investigation, we evaluate whether the date of loss falls within the policy
period. With respect to the policy
period, Travelers issued a Homeowner’s policy you with effective dates of
October 3, to October 3, 2013.
However, the policy was cancelled during that policy period; the
cancellation notice on the policy was issued to the insured in October of
and to the mortgagee in April of 2013. The
agent, *** *** ***, confirmed that the policy was cancelled in April of
and there was no record you ever contacting the agent regarding the loss
while the policy was in force.
With respect to the date of loss,
the you have been unable to establish when the loss occurred. Furthermore, it is impossible for Travelers
to determine when this loss occurred due to the delay in reporting and the
number of storms and other wind events that have happened from the claimed date
of loss to the notice of loss
As a result of our coverage
findings, we conveyed to you that the delay in reporting does not allow us the
ability to properly determine whether the damages occurred while the policy was
in force. Therefore our coverage
position was conveyed to you on July 11, in writing and verbally. We have responded to you on many levels regarding
his concerns with applicable coverage.
I hope that this helps clarify Travelers’ position with
regard to this claim. "

I called to obtain a quote for just MYSELF driving MY CAR, and was advised unless I do not provide them with everyone's names and birth dates who are living in my house, even if they are not allowed to drive my car, they will not give me a quoteTalk about a Major Invasion of Privacy!!! If someone is not going to drive my car, it is absolutely NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS, as to not only their names but their DATES OF BIRTH??? This is how Identity Theft Occurs!!
