I waited over three hours to rent a car from Thrifty at the Phoenix Sky harbor locationThere were over people in line with one person working at the counterWhen I called to complain their customer service was closed on the weekendWhen I finally got the car it was dirty and old food was found under the seat that had spoiledTo return the car again was a wait with over cars in line with again only one person workingI called today to voice my complaint and was told that all supervisors were in a meeting and no one could help meleft a voicemail and a email and have had no responseThis is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a company

Friday January 2017, arrived at *** car rental at *** *** Airport in Phoenix I Attended the counter and spoke with Jack who was a staff member I was dealing with Jack was out of uniform in a Chicago Cubs jersey
Jack appeared to have good customer relations and was friendly He asked me what I was doing in Phoenix and where I was fromJack offered me a free upgrade, which I accepted
He asked if I wanted to add a driver for free which I had declined He asked if I wouldn’t mind as he gets credit for it and it’s free At the time I was traveling with a friend who had rented a car through Budget Rent a car in Phoenix I called over to him and asked if he wanted to go on as a secondary driver on my car The agent gets credit and he’s giving me a free upgrade to a Nissan Maxima, to which the person I traveled with agreed and was added as a driver
During the process I was asked to sign three times I believe once was to acknowledge declining of insurance, agreeing to bring the car back with a full tank of gas and that a deposit was going to be put on my credit card
Once the signatures were done a receipt was issued where Jack highlighted a dollar value and pointed it out as the deposit put on my credit card
On Monday January I returned the car to *** at Phoenix Skyharbour Airport When I brought the car in the girl I was dealing with said there was going to be a charge of $US for the upgrade to the car That if I wished to dispute it to attend the upstairs counter and speak with a supervisor
At approximately 1240hrs, I attended the counter and asked to speak to a supervisor and a male told me he could assist me I indicated that I didn’t need, want or ask for an upgrade but the previous agent, Jack had offered me a free upgrade He asked for my contract and said that I had signed for it and that I’m responsible for the additional charges
I indicated the upgrade was supposed to be free or else I wouldn’t have agreed to it, that this charge once it’s been converted is more then double the original charge of $Canadian for the renal
The employee I was dealing with indicated that I should have read the contract before signing it There was no way to read the contract before singing it because the contract doesn’t print until it’s been signed electronically and even then, there was an indication that what I was signing was a deposit on the credit card which I know is common with rental cars
He said he couldn’t assist me at which point I asked him to provide me his name and employee number as he was the supervisor I spoke to When I asked for his information he told me he was not the supervisor, that the supervisor was Scott and was away on lunch After a dispute over providing me with information he told me his name was Jason and his Employee number was
I left my contact information for the supervisor to call me and of course I didn't get a phone call back
On the 17th of January I called the 1-number for *** and got through to voicemail for Nancy regarding rental disputes and left her a voicemail message
I also filled out a dispute form on their website and as of today I have not been contacted
He said he isn’t in a position to assist me, that Jack no longer works for the company and that he shouldn’t have even given me the rate that I got for the car, that I shouldn’t have been able to leave the garage with the rate that I was given
Very upset and angry, with ***, they're customer service is horrible and they do things under pretense and will lie to you in order to make a sale This is a fraud, I feel ripped off over and taken advantage of over this incident

I have rented from Dollar for several years now and the last three times I rented I put in the time I was going to need the vehicle (usually 30 minutes prior) so I can be sure there is a vehicle available and the last three times I had to wait over 30 minutes for a vehicle and when I went to the front desk to see if I could upgrade as I was in a hurry for a business trip I was met with a very unprofessional and very rude person behind the desk telling me that the other vehicles were waiting for the renters and they could not help me I would just have to wait. I responded to that with why do I have to wait the last three times and the renters of a vehicle that is not even here not have to. I didnt understand and the response of the representative was your just going to have to wait because there is nothing I can do to help you, then she turned and walked away rolling her eyes.
When sending an email to the corporate offices I was met with we are sorry for what happened and we try to do the very best for our customers and so therefore we will be sending out a 25.00 gift card for your next rental. I was blown away three times this has happened and they want to pacify me with a gift card. I went in last week with a co-worker as she had a rental and she had to wait 45 minutes and the same thing again rude and very unprofessional people at the desk. Just does not seem right when you have a time to pick up the vehicle and you are there they should have the vehicles there for you, you should not have to wait for over 30 minutes to get a rental. And then get met with unprofessional people to boot. The first and second time I was just thinking it was a fluke but its happened to me personally 3 times and now my co-worker 2 times. Just doesnt seem like they really care.
But on the bright side the people outside were very friendly and kept apologizing for everything. But they couldnt do anything about it.

We rented a car from T-Car Rental. Our rental agreement indicated a fee of $267.14. We complied with all the terms of the rental agreement - the dates and times of car rental and the agreement to return the car with a full gas tank. Upon return of the car the rental company employee indicated the tank was full and marked it as such on our receipt. We provided proof of a gas receipt, which he indicated was not necessary. When we received our credit car bill, the company had overcharged for the rental by $135. When we contacted T- Car Rental, they indicated this was for fuel charges as we returned the tank half full. This is false. We have provided the necessary documentation to T- to prove their error. But I believe they are engaging in poor business practices and not expecting me as the customer to notice that they overcharged my account. I am working to resolve this issue, but I feel the Revdex.com needs to better enforce policies with the car rental agencies to prevent them from preying on their customers.

When I picked up my vehicle at your LaGuardia Airport (New York) location I spoke with an agent (woman). I told her I might drive the rental back to Florida if hurricane Hermine causes my hotel to evacuate. My hotel was evacuated because the hotel is on the beach in Montauk, NY. I dropped my car off in Florida and now I am being charged a ridiculous amount of money. If the agent wasn't flirting with the other agent and was paying attention all of this could of been avoided and I could of worked something out. The other agent on this day of August 31st 2016 at around 12:00 pm began to hit on my girlfriend. He said to me and I quote " do you want a bottle of water because I am part of the man hating club" that is slang for your girlfriend is hot. Unprofessional, distasteful and disrespectful towards women, me and your company. I want to file a complaint against this agent who I cannot get in touch with because customers cannot speak to agents at the rental locations. also, the car was dirty. It was not washed. Customers pay all this money to rent a car, I shouldn't have to go back to the agent and tell them the car is dirty it should be clean and ready to go. I also have an issue with your "special". Thrifty states " compact car or larger, we pick the car". you're mis-leading your customers into thinking they hope for a better vehicle. Its the old bait and switch, you lure me in, thinking I have the possibility for a larger car but its going to be a compact, but then you tell me I can upgrade at a discount. Such a scam.

Amazing Job these guys did from Ace Construction. I would refer them to anyone.

Revdex.com:Ace Construction had made an acceptable offer to fix my roof.  As of now, the work has been almost completed to my satisfaction.  It should be finalized NLT Jan 18th.Thank you for your assistance,[redacted]

We will contact the owner and will take care the leak issue. Over the past hard rain and wind cause the many household with water damage and we are still trying to catch up with
all the work and understaffed at this time of the season. I have not forgotten that he still has issue with the...

roof and I will make a definite schedule time to get his roof repaired.

Thrifty charged my personal bank account $1153.00 for a $124.00 rental. They were rude and refused to correct their mistake until I brought the car back at the end of the rental. When I contacted customer service to explain what had happened, I was told they would also credit my account back for the $124 rental. That did not happen. When I called to inquire why it hadn't been credited, they were once again rude and told me I would NOT be getting a credit. The customer service was horrible from start to finish and no one cared that my personal checking account was charged $1153 without my permission and the money was unavailable to me for 5 days.

A few weeks ago I went on Dollar's website to reserve a rental car using my corporate discount code and received a confirmation. Upon arrival, my family was told that they were not going to accept it. [redacted] and [redacted] at this location said the rates were currently much higher. And then proceeded to offer a host of excuses as to why they wouldn't honor our rate...such as "taxes had to be paid in the state" and "only those with diplomatic immunity could not pay taxes, etc." None of this made any sense as our rate included itemized taxes that I pointed out to them and was through a valid corporate discount program. They continued to refuse. I called the 800 line from the website while my family waited at the counter, and the woman assisting me didn't understand why this location wouldn't process the valid reservation, so she removed the corporate rate code but kept the rate and same confirmation number. She then said there shouldn't be an issue and told us to go back to rental desk as they should process it. The manager again refused and threatened to turn my family in for not paying taxes! --which again makes no sense. We've never been treated so rudely. There was a large sporting event in the area and I believe they saw the lower rate and were refusing to honor it because they could extort more money out of those arriving without reservations. In short, I have never had such an experience with this company before but don't plan on using them again as my family was left stranded after a long trip and trying to locate another rental car with a good rate was difficult.

Thrifty and Dollar rentals are SCAMMERS! I rented my car online and did a prepay to get a cheaper rate online. When I got to the counter I showed the agent my invoice and that I paid online. He asked if I wanted any additional coverage's and I told him NO I have everything I need just complete the transaction as I set it up online. He then asked me to sign the pad agreeing to the terms. I noticed the price on the pad was higher than what I had already paid. He told be don't worry that is just a deposit on the car and everything will be reversed when the car is returned. Well 2 days later I returned the car and asked when the additional deposit would be returned to my account. The new agent said that only about $35 was a deposit the rest of the charges would stand as they were for:
1. Additional insurance.
2. Roadside assistance.
3. Applicable taxes and fees.
I explained to him that I distinctly rejected all additional coverage's to which he replied well you signed the form. Yes under false pretense you agent lied to me about what it charges were for. Lesson learned never rent from the unethical scammers at Dollar/Thrifty again and spread the word like wildfire so other victims don't call in to the same trap!

This review is being posted to the Arizona Revdex.com site due to Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group being incorporated in AZ. During the first week of August, 2015, I rented a vehicle from Thrifty at the Philadelphia airport. Weeks after the 6 day rental, I received a bill for tolls recorded by the electronic device in the car. Eleven of the 14 tolls were fraudulent, totaling just over $38.00. More importantly, each of the tolls was accompanied by a $15.00 "administrative" charge. Total tolls & fees came to over $251.00. This is an incredible scam considering that the 6 day rental charge was $297.12. This review will be posted on the Pennsylvania Revdex.com site as well. This kind of abuse is the sort that leads to legislative action to curb unscrupulous actions of businesses like Thrifty.
