A member of Acer’s Corporate Customer Care has spoken with Mr. [redacted] regarding this issue.  We have discussed the issues Mr. [redacted] is having with his monitor and we have set up for the monitor to be sent back to our repair depot with a pre-paid shipping label.  Once the monitor arrives it will be assigned to a senior technician to repair the product and we will follow up with Mr. [redacted] before returning the product to ensure the issue is resolved before shipping it back out.  Once repaired we will also ship his monitor back overnight delivery to expedite this repair process and we will again follow up after the repair to ensure all issues regarding this monitor have been resolved.  Mr. [redacted] has accepted our offer and will get the monitor shipped in shortly.

A representative from Acer has reached out to [redacted] Support in regards to Mr. [redacted]’s dispute.  Mr. [redacted] entered a contract for paid software support services in May 2015 with [redacted] Support.  His contact was for 15 issues and he has used all 15 of his issues over the past year for different types of software questions he has had.  [redacted] Support will attempt to provide their best efforts to resolve issues but not all issues can be resolved.  [redacted] Support has fulfilled Mr. [redacted]’s contract and they will not provide any refund. The issues Mr. [redacted] is currently having are related to corruption of his software and we have previously addressed this issue with our last response as we are providing Mr. [redacted] a free copy of his Windows operating system since he has upgraded his software and can no longer make a factory recovery disk.
 
Neither Acer nor Answers Buy Support can resolve all operating system issues as we are not the manufacture of the software.  We again will follow up with Mr. [redacted] once he receives the software to ensure he is able to get it reinstalled on his computer and put the computer back to the original factory settings.

A member of Acer’s Corporate Customer Care has spoken with Ms. [redacted] regarding this issue.  We advised Ms. [redacted] her computers warranty ended 7/9/2012 so it is no longer eligible for repair under the warranty.  We did have Ms. [redacted] computer in our repair depot in the fall of 2016 and at that time the optical disk drive was working however we did not test the functions of the product burning CD’s.  We let her know she may attempt to reinstall her operating system to see if that will help resolve her issue otherwise we do offer out of warranty repair for $259.99 USD plus tax and that cover parts and labor.  Ms. [redacted] is going to attempt to reinstall her software and if that does not work she may check with a local repair shop for further assistance.

Also, we will bump her unit to the front of the line for repair upon receipt. I am rejecting this response because: I should not have to pay for this repair at all. The item had ship damage. This was clearly stated by rep. The only reason I paid the $25 is that I need that laptop for school and I CANT AFFORD A BRAND NEW ONE. If I am refunded the $25 I paid for the repair, I will be satisfied. Otherwise, my complaint still stands.

We apologize for any misinformation [redacted] received in regard to the specifications of his computer. The Quick User Reference Guide [redacted] is referring to is a generic guide for all the variations of models in this particular computer series. If [redacted] needed more information regarding specifications for his model, the specifications are listed on the outside of the computers original packaging.  I have reviewed the Chat Logs that [redacted] is referring to in his Revdex.com Complaint and originally [redacted] was advised by one of our agents that the unit does have wireless capability, but the agent quickly corrected his statement letting [redacted] know that after speaking with engineering, the unit does not have wireless capability. [redacted] was also informed that the unit does not have wireless capability after speaking with chat support.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused [redacted].
