ACME Home Services, LLC, no longer manages [redacted]. If you wish to receive an answer to this complaint nor any complaints for [redacted] you must contact them. Thank You, Voniece A[redacted], Office Manager ACME Home Services, LLC

Do not use this company if they call you saying you have a preventative maintenance agreement with them. They are one of 4-5 companies was that was sold a list from a company called [redacted] in Tempe, Az that has since went out of business. The will ruin your equipment and charge you for things that you do not need fixed. As of this day and time, I am waiting on a refund check they said I would receive for working on my less than a year old unit, under warranty that they charged me for a compressor cap. They technician should have realized the unit was less than 1 year old and told me to call my warranty company to fix instead of them charging me.

Aclaim air and acme have seemed to have treated me pretty well in regards to the ac. They seem to have good technicians and the office lady voniece ( I think) always give me an awesome attitude and always sends me the same technician

I would give them a 4 out of 5

Only reason why not a solI'd 5 is sometimes it's hard to get through.

ACME Home Services, LLC no longer manages Acclaim Air, LLC, if you wish an answer to this or any of Acclaim Air, LLC's complaints please send to them. Thank You Voniece A[redacted] Office Manager

As far as their first visit being on 10-12-14 with Casey is incorrect. That is actually the third of five visits from the paper work that we can find at this time. The first one being 10-22-12. Acme Home Services took over the company from our initial service agreement company. Acme Home services agreed to accept and abide by that original agreement. They took on the responsibility of that company when they purchased them. So they should be held responsible and we should be reimbursed.
With Invoice [redacted] with Casey there was a charge of $157.84. I do not have access to any book price so I cannot confirm that I got any reduced price. I cannot be assured that anything was wrong with the unit or that any parts were replaced on the unit because I was not given the worn/broken parts and I was not capable of climbing onto the roof to evaluate if any work had been done. So I cannot assume I received any savings of $373.60, because it ultimately cost me $157.84 for work that may not have needed to be done or was done.
As for the Invoice [redacted] with Anthony who sold us a Surge Protector. He told us we needed one because we had two large TV's and a computer in our household and that is why we need one. They were pulling/using too much electricity. According to a licensed Air Conditioning company that was contacted that is a not true. They laughed at the reason he told us we needed one. That is $390.13 in cost that we did not need.

I responded to this complaint on May 7th or 8th 2015. We have already refunded $2865.43 by mistake. I told the part time accountant to send Mrs. [redacted] a refund check and she sent the check in the amount of the last check instead of the first check Mrs. [redacted] wrote us. So on the 7th of May I...

received an email from Mrs. [redacted] that she received the check in the wrong amount and I told her I would have the accountant send her a check for the difference ($3281.12) on Tuesday May 12th 2015. Well this morning I came into the check sitting on my desk, the accountant came in on Wednesday May 13th 2015 and wrote the check but didn't mail it. I was on vacation for the last part of last week til today Monday May 18th, 2015. So, I have placed to the check in the mail and Mrs. [redacted] should have it in the next few days. I apologize for the wait, but both the part time accountant and myself have been out ill a few days over the last couple of weeks, then I took a three day vacation for the first time in 3years. As of today Monday May 18th 2015 Acclaim Air LLC has refunded the total of $6150.55 to Mrs. [redacted].

ACME Home Services, LLC has only been to the [redacted]s home twice ( I have included both these invoices ). The first visit was on 4/12/14, ACME Home Services, LLC sent out Casey for a routine maintenance check invoice[redacted], and Casey did the A/C check, a 1 pole 30 amp contactor, a plenum seal,...

and an hour labor; Casey only charged the [redacted] $157.84 for the contactor which was less that half of the book price. So the [redacted]s saved a total of $373.60 on that visit. Than again on 10/14/15 we sent out Anthony and per our invoice [redacted] and the [redacted]s purchased a surge protector for $390.00. As for the maintenance program, the [redacted]s puchased that from another company so we can cancel the maintenance program, but we can not refund money we never recieved.  Thank You Voniece A[redacted], Office Manager

First of nobody is blaming [redacted]! As far as the expiration date on the voucher I have included a copy of one of our vouchers which we give a copy of to the customer. The expiration date is on it, our technician fills them out and puts the year which would have been 2015, since we were at Sandra's house in November 2014. I also have apologized more than once about losing the copy of the invoice from the other company. The only reason we are giving her the $80 is in the interest of customer satisfaction! I still stand behind my technician! Acclaim Air does not have an F rating with the Revdex.com, ACME Home Services, LLC does and I am trying to fix it; since these are two different companies. ACME Home Services, LLC is a management and marketing company with one owner and Acclaim Air, LLC is a licensed and bonded air conditioning and heating company with its own owner. They are two different companies. I have placed the check to [redacted] in the mail.

On 12/4/15 ACME Home Services, LLC sent Eric out on a routine maintenance check, but the heat was not working so it should have been a service call. Eric replaced the condensing fan motor and a 1 pole contactor, then he called out our head tech Daryl to help him. Daryl found that there was a...

freon leak, we charged the customer $999.99. The other charge of $104.72 was paid to the parts house not us. Daryl scheduled to go back out on 12/8/15 to do the leak repair. After finishing the leak repair Daryl scheduled for Eric to go back out and replace the blower motor (free of charge) on 12/11/15. The customer was home on 12/4/15, but not there on 12/8/15. We were never at her house on 12/5/15 according to our tickets and computer. Then on 12/10/15, the day before the motor was to come in and Eric was to go back out and replace it, the customer called out another company through their home warranty company. That company said that the blower motor was wired wrong, which we hadn't done this motor yet, and they said that the unit was slightly low on puron,, but their invoice doesn't show how much puron was added. Daryl assures me that the unit was fully charged with freon when he left. ACME Home Services, LLC did all the repairs that [redacted] paid for, and we would have not only fixed, but replaced the blower motor for free if she would have waited one day (when she was scheduled for). It was her decision to call out another company through her home warranty company and pay them. I can not authorize a refund for work that was complete. Thank You, Voniece A[redacted], Office Manager. P.S. I have included copies from our computer of scheduled appointments, our invoice, and the other company's invoice.

As for the visit on 10/22/12, it was [redacted] that was at Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]s house. ACME Home Services, LLC only went out to the [redacted]s house twice. Once on 4/12/14 invoice [redacted] and on 10/14/15 invoice #342332. ACME Home Services, LLC did not take over [redacted]'s contracts. The creditors of [redacted] contacted us and asked ACME Home Services, LLC to provide the services for the customers with maintenance agreements, nor did ACME Home Services, LLC purchase said agreements.
Invoice [redacted] Casey only charged the [redacted]s $157.84, if you look at the invoice you'll see that the unit cost for the 1pl 30amp contactor is $255.48 and Casey only charged $150 when the actual price for our maintenance customers is $204.38 which is 20% off and the book price for the plenum seal is $60 and Casey included this which should have cost $48 at the 20% off, so the [redacted]s were only charged $157.84 and saved $373.60.
Invoice [redacted] the [redacted]s purchased a surge protector. Anthony told them that the reason for a surge protector was the same reason people have them for thier computers and other electronics is to protect the air conditioning unit against power surges.
Thank You, Voniece A[redacted], Office Manager

The other three invoices we have are as follows:
Invoice #358394 Dated 10/15/14. It has the name [redacted] Managed by Acme Home Services, LLC. With a [redacted] number.
Invoice [redacted] Dated 10/14/13. It has the name [redacted]. A wholly owned subsidiary of Acme Home Services, LLC. With a [redacted]umber.
Invoice [redacted] Dated 10/22/12. It has the name [redacted]. A wholly owned subsidiary of Acme Home Services, LLC. With a [redacted]umber.
The last two invoices listed have the same logo (a four bladed fan) that is found on the two newest ones they are referring to. The two newest invoices do not have a [redacted]. In it's place is "Not a licensed contractor". This has me coming to one conclusion in that they had their license taken away. All of the invoices have the same address of [redacted]

After reading ACME's response I have to disagree with the majority of what was said (see my original complaint). First and foremost when they came out  the heater was not in working order and when they left (both times) the heater was not in working order.  I called a different company they came out identified the issue  immediately  and had it resolved within one visit at a cost to me of $65.00. They DID NOT replace any parts and there was no leak they did top off the Freon at no charge as it was a minimal amount. In the response it was stated that the $104.72 was paid for parts so untrue this was paid for the Freon that I was told I needed and that ACME took receipt of. Also the receipt they supplied and the receipt in my possession does not even come close to matching. I sent will send mine but its extremely hard to make sense of. I am prepared to pay for a service call not to exceed $200.00  but nothing more as nothing more was done by this "F" rated company. If this is not acceptable I will contact my Attorney, I have not done this to date as I had hoped to resolve the issue without involving them.  I have a maintenance agreement with this company that I paid for but, I do not ever want them on my property again. This experience is going to make it very difficult for me to trust any company's integrity going forward.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Regards,

I was contacted by a representative from Acclaim Air offering a deal for air conditioning maintenance. Was advised they partnered with SRP to provide services. I agreed to have them service my air conditioners. I set up an appointment and waited for them the whole day. They never showed up. The next business day I called only to find out my appointment was submitted incorrectly and rescheduled. The services were completed only to find out that the costs associated to the maintenance was far more than quoted. Three weeks later our air conditioner lost its cooling. We contacted Acclaim Air to have them check the air conditioner as they had just completed the maintenance. I set up an appointment only to have waited the whole day with another no show and no phone call. When I called Acclaim Air obviously upset, no one answered. I left a voice message. The message I received in return was from a representative that was short and rude. I called Acclaim Air again and was advised that the record indicated the work was completed. This representative apologized and advised she could fit me in that same day. Again no show no phone call. I called again the next day and scheduled another appointment for a date later in the week. The worker came back to let us know we had a leak and the Freon that was just filled three weeks prior was almost gone. At this point weary of their services we contacted another air conditioning company that confirmed we did have a leak, but not where we were told the leak actually was. This company does not partner with SRP. I called the company asking questions I probably should have asked before. I believe I spoke with the owner as he indicated his people WOULD NEVER advise they work with SRP and asked what exactly did I want him to do. I would never recommend this company to ANYONE. Unprofessional and questionable tactics, beware.

First of all, ACME Home Services, LLC andAcclaim Air, LLC are two different companies. ACME Home Services, LLC is aManagement and marketing company. Acclaim Air, LLC is an air conditioning andheating company. On 11/2914, [redacted] financed a maintenance program for...

$1442.00 withAcclaim Air, LLC and with that program, an evap. and cond. coil cleaning and aduct cleaning were included.(See attached invoice#358759 and maintenanceprogram#212877). In the lower left-hand corner is the refund policy.Yes,[redacted] is getting a refund of $1442 minus $825 and minus $25 servicecharge. Her refund will be $592.[redacted] signed the finance contract, or we could not have received thefinancing. We did not forge her name! We had to take a picture of her validstate Driver's License or ID with her signature and her banking account name, account number, and routing number to the finance company to get her approved.Without her we would not have had that information. Also, we have to include acopy of the invoice signed by the customer to the financing company. Then thefinancing company generates the finance contract after verifying, which we tookout to the customer to have the customer sign. So, the finance company has aclear picture of the customers valid ID with customer's signature, our companyinvoice with customer's signature, and the copy of the contract for financingwith her signature. In all her calls to our office she never accused us offorging her signature. She only wanted to cancel her program. There is no waywe could have forged her signature. And yes we took the contract out to her tosign. I have also included a copy of invoice#[redacted] where Acclaim Air, LLC wentback out to [redacted]'s house and did the duct cleaning and she signed theinvoice. If [redacted] did not approve the duct cleaning and financing wewould not have gone back and done the duct cleaning on 12/20/14.(Which I haveincluded a copy of with her signature.) Thank You< Voniece A[redacted] OfficeManager for Acclaim Air, LLC

1) On 11/1/14 Acclaim Air, LLC sent [redacted] our technician out to [redacted] house to do a check on her ac unit. He did the check and made a couple of recommendations and [redacted] said no so [redacted] finished the check and charged her only $34.95 and left her a voucher to come back out and check her...

system for free, like we told her when we scheduled the appointment. 2) On 5/18/15 Acclaim Air,LLC 's technician [redacted] was sent out to [redacted] house for a voucher call, even though the voucher had expired back in March 2015, we still honored it. [redacted] did the check on [redacted] AC unit and he made a couple of recommendations (just like our first tech [redacted] did), one being that her coils needed cleaning and the other being her 60 mfd capacitor was over amping (it was a 60 mfd capacitor and [redacted] reading said it was at 68.7). [redacted] told [redacted] no she had her own AZ company and would have them look at it. [redacted] finished his check of [redacted] unit and didn't charge her and left her a copy of the invoice#[redacted]). 3)It was [redacted] decision to call out her own company and pay them $80 to recheck the unit. We don't know what time of day or what the temperature was when her ac guy came out or why his readings were different than [redacted] was out at [redacted] house from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm (see attachment invoice#[redacted]). 4) When [redacted] called me, I told her that I needed a copy of the other companies invoice so I could review it and see if I could help her out. After reviewing both our invoice and the other companies invoice, I didn't see a reason to give her the money she was asking for, but in the interest of customer satisfaction I agreed to send her her money. I stand behind my technician [redacted] and we did nothing wrong. I told her I would turn it over to accounting for review and they would send her a check. Afterwards, our accountant became ill and miss some work. Then [redacted] called in again and I looked everywhere for the copy she sent me of the invoice and I couldn't find it. 5) I had my dispatcher tell her to please send me another copy of the invoice via fax, like the first time she sent it. [redacted] said no, then she told Shelley to have me email her a request for the copy. I emailed her the request immediately and [redacted] emailed back to put in writing why I needed the copy again. And I did and she still refused threatening that she would go to the Revdex.com, news, ** and [redacted]. 6) All I need is a copy of the invoice from the other company so my accountant can issue he a check, as I said before, in the interest of customer satisfaction only, not that we did anything wrong. She refuses to resend it. My accountant needs it for our records, we can't just write a check without having proof of what's being paid. 7) As far as the F rating with the Revdex.com, that is another company, Acclaim Air, LLC does not have a rating with the Revdex.com. I have been working on that to no avail. We have no complaints with the [redacted]. 8) We her at Acclaim Air, LLC only wish to resolve theis matter with [redacted], and I apologize for losing the first copy of the other invoice. Thank You,  [redacted], Office Manager for Acclaim Air, LLC

I acknowledge that I signed a contract with Acclaim.  I do not dispute this. I have copies of the contract and the work order that I signed with Acclaim. My dispute is that I did not sign a contract with [redacted] nor was I presented with one to sign. Yet my name is on the copy they sent me and they are on my credit record as delinquent and saying that I owe them almost $2k, according to a contract I did not even see, let alone sign, and to whose terms I would never have agreed. Somebody put my name on that contract, and it wasn't me. This is the root of my problem.I will not pay a debt I did not agree to. I signed a contract with your company. I thought I was paying your company, and that [redacted] was a billing service. I agreed to to pay your fees. I did not agree to pay theirs. I was not aware that you had been paid in full, but your company was, or should have been, and when I cancelled this contract, you should have issued a refund immediately to [redacted] But you didn't, and my credit is suffering for it. This is unacceptable to me. And since it was your company's actions, or inaction, that created this problem, I expect your company to fix it.

This company also does business as Acclaim Air, LLC. They telemarket people offering an "AC tune-up for only $39.95". However, once the "tune-up" is done they pressure unsuspecting customers into extremely overpriced repairs, modifications, and service plans.

On 09/11/2015 I agreed to let them do the "tune-up", after which their technician Daryl highly recommended installing a Kickstart KS1 Hard Start Kit on my AC unit "to extend the life of the compressor". Daryl told me that it would cost about $275.00. He said it was "a reasonable price" and that "their price was competitive with other HVAC companies". So I let Daryl install the Hard Start Kit on my AC unit and he charged me $274.34.

After Daryl left, I did some research and found out that I had been lied to badly. The Kickstart KS1 part is available from [redacted] through [redacted] for $54.93. Adjusting the price for a reasonable markup of 50%, I should have been charged about $82.40 for the part. It took the technician about 20 minutes to install it. Allowing for a reasonable hourly labor rate of $70.00 and presuming that they bill in half hour increments, then I should have been charged about $35.00 for the labor. Since they were already at my home to do the "tune-up", then there should not have been a service call. If they truly charged "reasonable" and "competitive" prices, then I should have been charged a total of $117.40 for the Hard Start Kit installation. (In fact, I called [redacted] and they quoted me $129.95 to do this same job, including the service call, parts, and labor). By simple math, their service was overpriced by $156.94 ($274.34-$117.40).

I have given this company three opportunities to make this right and they (Voniece A[redacted]) refused to. By now, it should be clear that this company preys on and victimizes unsuspecting people and that they engage in dishonest business practices. So don't let them lie to you and victimize you too.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

My comments are: They never told me the voucher expired, Acclaim stated [redacted] finished his check of a/c unit, and didn't charge, this visit was at no charge from their original call to me to have a winter check up and receive a pre summer check up at no charge. My decision to call my a/c person was because of scare tactics Acclaim told me about my unit.

As I originally wrote on my complaint, when I did not receive the promised check, and tried calling them many times, left messages, and no one ever mentioned that the accountant became ill, WHY NOT???? They are blaming me for this time period, and they failed to tell me.

When they asked for a copy the 2nd time, I did not trust them at all, and that is why I contacted the Revdex.com. Acclaim sounds like they are blaming me for not returning my $$$, thou I totally blame them for what they have put me thru.

I have attached a copy of the $80.00 invoice that they originally had and approved, and now stated have misplaced. I truly hope I receive this within a weeks time and end this horrible situation that you have put me thru. Regarding your rating, before I even put in a complaint, I was told you are F in the Revdex.com, whether it be Acclaim Air or Acme Home Services, You are FFFFFF and more in my book and again, to put a senior thru this is not very acceptable. Revdex.com will be called when I receive this $$$.

[redacted]., was it's own company that we managed and owned, the qualifying party never let the [redacted] know he sold the company and also got sick and let the license go and the company went out of business. [redacted] contracted with us to manage them. Just recently the owner broke his contract with us and we no longer manage them. ACME Home Services, LLC is operating under the handyman exception and it says so on our invoices. All companies are separate companies, with their own EIN numbers, insurance, bank accounts., etc. The [redacted]s purchased their program from a company called [redacted] that went out of business back in 2011, that is who they paid for their contract, not us!!! We did not take over nor purchase these contracts, we were contacted to provide the services only, (by the creditor's of [redacted])! A refund is to give back money that was paid. Since we never received any money for their contract we cannot refund it.   Thank You, Voniece A[redacted], Office Manager
