Advanced Lamps Reviews (172)

Review: Ordered my needed part on 12/10/13. Advanced Lamps immediately withdrew the cost of the item ($37.88) then put my order in a pending mode for over a week. I called the service department & got an answering machine that said they have no service department. I emailed with no response. I then received an email stating my order was out of stock and was back ordered. (24 hour shipping was noted on the web sight). The product arrived 2 weeks later and the housing was broken. I emailed Advanced with no response again. I have emailed them again & am waiting on another no response. My order number is [redacted]. I should have checked your site before I ordered, live & learn. I have no real hope of getting the part replaced or my money back but I wanted to add to the list of complaints this company has received. ADVANCED LAMPS IS A RIP OFF.Desired Settlement: Just would like my $37.88 refunded.

Subject: complaint #[redacted].

My complaint with Advance Lamp has been settled. They have refunded my money. Thank-you for your help. I believe that your attempts at contacting the company caused them to quickly act. Lesson learned...don't buy from Advanced Lamps. Thanks again for all you've done.

Ordered an item through [redacted]. Advanced Lamps is a third party vendor through their website. I only received one of the 2 items I ordered. They don't answer the phone, they don't respond to emails, and they don't ship all items that were paid for. Horrible way to run a business. Then when [redacted] somehow managed to reach them they only offered to refund the item and not the shipping. They are a bunch of crooks! What kind of BS business are they running?

Review: My husband and I ordered a replacement lamp for our television from this company. It came with a 180 day warranty. After 31 days the lamp stopped working properly. I called the company and was placed on hold by an automated voice. After several minutes I was sent to voice mail, I left a message with all my information. I did not receive a call back. I attempted to call every day for 3 more days, each day I was sent to voice mail after being placed on hold. I have never spoken to a human being at this company. I left more messages on January 2, 2014 and I sent an email through the company website, voicing my complaint and my desire to enforce the 180 day warranty. I am very surprised that no one returns phone calls or even answers the phone at this company. When researching complaints I found several against this company for the same problems. Failure to deliver product, failure to honor warranty, failure to respond to customers, and selling of faulty equipment.Desired Settlement: A full refund of the product cost of $39.95 or replacement with a product that meets expected performance levels. Replacement is not as good because I am strongly suspicious that new item will also be faulty and I will be back in the same predicament with a company that does not offer good customer service.

Review: I ordered a replacement lamp for our tv on November 13th, 2013.I checked online to see when it shipped because I did not receive a confirmation for the shipment. I logged onto their website and found my order. There are notes stating that it was backordered on November 13th and then the next day that it shipped which was the 14th. Today is November 29th and still no bulb shipped. I tried calling Advanced Lamp LLC and follow the prompts for customer service and after about ten minutes on hold I receive a voicemail message stating no one is available. I left several messages with my contact information and order number and have not heard a word from this company. Sadly after the fact I have read many terrible reviews for Advanced Lamp LLC. I am usually a very informed consumer. I let my guard down one time and this happens. I guess shame on me.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded so that I may purchase a replacement lamp at a reliable, reputable business.

Review: The company I work for ordered several sets of dual projector lamps from Advanced Lamps at the beginning of the year. None of the lamps worked. I called to return them since they have a 180 day warranty, and after a bit of difficulty (none of the lamps had serial numbers) was given an RMA number. I shipped the lamps back at our expense and waited. I called several times a month for four months and either was directed to someone's voicemail or was guaranteed they would be shipped and I would receive a tracking number within a couple of days. Finally, in July I called and left a message saying that if we did not receive the replacement lamps or a full refund, we would contact the Revdex.com. By the next week we received a box from Advanced Lamps with what I assumed was our replacement order. When my supervisor and I opened the box, we were shocked to find it full of old, used and otherwise broken lamps. They were obviously other returns and even had other customer's contact information on the lamp boxes. My supervisor called their general manager who was defensive and nearly refused to deal with the situation. She said she would find out what happened, and send us a pre-paid shipping label to return the broken lamps. Only after they receive the lamps, will they send us our order.

Review: I placed and paid for my order on March 08, 2014. Their webstite states that any order placed by 3:00 pm will be processed the same day but with that being a Saturday, I expected it to be done Monday, March 10th. We have placed several calls and left messages because no one answers. No one has returned those calls. We have sent several emails and also received no response. We own two businesses and would never practice such poor customer service. As of today, April 4th, still no delivery or refund. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.Desired Settlement: We either want the order or refund asap.

On the 8th of March customer placed an order for 1 x Genuine AL™ [redacted] Lamp & Housing for [redacted] TVs for 32.44. The customer purchased Best Way shipping for $5.00. The item ordered was placed on backorder. Order 209456 has shipped under [redacted] tracking number [redacted]. The item has been delivered at this time. Please consider this case closed.

Review: Order: [redacted] work at a church. In our main auditorium we have two [redacted] projectors, one for each side of the room, that get a LOT of use. They each use two bulbs. On Sunday, June 15, 2014, one of our projectors' final bulb went out. We needed a quick solution, and Advanced Lamps seemed to be a dependable company. I decided to order 4 bulbs (two for each projector) to replace them all at once and keep the two images looking identical. So on Monday, June 16, I ordered 4 projector bulbs ([redacted]), and payed for 2-day shipping to make sure we'd have them by Thursday at the latest. On Thursday, June 19, I received 1 of 4 bulbs. I HAD to install it without having the others because we had an event on Thursday night that needed to use both projectors. Needless to say, the two projected images were very different in quality, and we were now in the unfortunate situation of having bulbs of different usage-hours in each projector, but I had no choice because I hadn't yet received the other bulbs in the promised time. After two more projector-intensive events on Friday and Saturday with one image different from the other, I didn't receive the other 3 bulbs until Monday, June 23, one week after the order, and well after the 2-day shipping I paid for. Much to my disappointment, these bulbs were from a DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER than the first one. With the chairs moved out of the way, and the man-lift again in place, I decided to cross my fingers and hope that the projected images would look the same, even though the lamps were now a different age AND different manufacturer. No luck. There is a dramatic difference between the bulb brands in brightness and contrast. I have called Advanced Lamps 6 times in the past couple of months and left 4 messages. (Yes, I'm keeping track). I've also emailed the company through their website. We are a large organization, with many events, and this service is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: Because of the poor service I've received, I have no desire to work with this company in the future, so I would like a full refund for the order including the shipping. However, in order to give the benefit of the doubt (it seems like this company is in transition? moving offices or something?), I would except a replacement of all 4 bulbs as long as they all come from ONE manufacturer so our two projectors match.

Review: We ordered a replacement lamp & housing for our [redacted] television on June 2, 2014. When we received the lamp a few days later, it was broke. After several phone calls and left messages with Advanced Lamps, I finally was able to talk to a customer service rep and was able to return the lamp and was sent a new one. We received the 2nd lamp & housing on June 30, 2014 and when we opened the box, glass fell out - however, we could not tell for sure by looking at it if the lamp was broken so we tried to see if it would work and it did not. I have consistently left messages and even emailed the company since receiving this 2nd lamp. There is NEVER a real person that answers the phone, always a recording that says due to high volume of calls, leave a message and someone will call you back. No one has ever called me back or emailed me! Their message at one time said that they were moving locations and that someone would call back within 2 business days and then the next week the message said someone would call you back at the beginning of the following week. We have been without our main television since June 2. I want to return this lamp and get a refund for the $187.21 total that was charged to my credit card.Desired Settlement: I want to return this product to Advanced Lamps for a full refund.

Review: On 3\14\14 I requested a refund to my card and advance lamps told me that it would be refunded 5-7 days and it was not. I called them on 3\21\14 the representative and she apologized and told me that it would be refunded in 24 hours and it was not. So I called on 3\24\14 all day long no response just got voicemail to leave a message and no one returned my call or e-mailed me. I really think that Advanced Lamps, LLC is a total rip off.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded to my card.

Review: Bought a high intensity lamp for my tv set on Oct 28, 2013. Total price was 46.41. Lamp came with a 6 month warranty.Approx 4 months the bulb burned out. I contacted the company, they said it was under warranty and to mail it back. They gave me a return number and I then sent it back to them. costing me another 10.00 in shipping. Several days later I received an E-mail stating the bulb was burned out and they would replace it.I never did receive the bulb nor any information when it might be sent. I called and sent emails no response. The tv is useless without the bulb.Their phone just goes to voice mail.My order number for this item is [redacted]Thanks for any assistant [redacted]Desired Settlement: Since I could not use the TV set without the bulb I was forced to buy a new TV. I still have the old set. Either a full refund or they could ship the replacement bulb.

Review: On 2/25/14 I ordered through Advanced Lamps web site a replacement lamp for our television. I paid with my debit card and it was processed immediately. I have emailed the company at least three times and have called too many time to count and left messages. I have yet to speak to a real person or have my phone call returned. Each time I check on my order thru their website it states my order is pending which is the same status when I ordered the replacement lamp. I would just like to know if the lamp has been shipped, is it out of stock, what is the hold up? But to my dismay NO ONE has bothered to call me back nor respond to any of my emails. I would just like some answers. I the company does not have this particular lamp in stock, or do not want to deal with anyone in Texas, no matter the reason, please refund my money and I will re order from another company. An explanation would suffice if they cannot fulfill my order and refund my money. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance, I am, [redacted]Desired Settlement: Either send the replacement lamp immediately or refund my money or both. There is no excuse for this. I would like to know how it's being shipped to me, I.e. [redacted], or [redacted] or even [redacted]! I would like to know if there is a tracking number if it has shipped. Anything pertinent to my order would be helpful.

Review: Advanced Lamps is marketing their products as factory replacement parts, but they are not. They are even using pictures and logos from manufacturer's websites to make it appear you are buying a factory item, when you are actually getting a very low quality generic part. I purchased a [redacted] lamp from them for my [redacted] television. These lamps generally last for 2-3 years, with no problem. The one I received from them only lasted 5 months and exploded. After 50+ phone calls and over 2 hours of being on hold, I was able to talk to someone there and get a replacement. I had to pay $10 of my own money to send back the failed part. I received the replacement 2 weeks later, which was obviously recycled and poorly packaged, and it lasted a whole 30 minutes before it exploded. At this point, I have no intention of trying to send it in again, as I know I will just receive another piece of junk lamp. I have already purchased a REAL factory part directly from [redacted] and it is working perfectly. People need to know that Advanced Lamps is selling very low quality parts and making it appear otherwise. Not to mention, their customer service is probably the WORST I have ever experienced.

Product_Or_Service: [redacted] LampDesired Settlement: I would like to, at least, be reimbursed for the $10 I had to pay to ship the original part back to them.

Review: I ordered a bulb for my TV from Advanced Lamps, LLC on 3/19/2014 and have been getting the run around ever since. I called several times wanting tracking information for my order that [redacted], the customer service rep said had been shipped. I even got a message on my account saying that it had been shipped. Well, after several days of waiting and no package I decided to give [redacted] a call, no answer left a message, no call back. This has gone on more than a few times. When I finally got through to her she said, " honestly sir your order is on back log and hasn't been shipped. At this point in the conversation I ask her for a refund and she obliged and said it was take 2 business days and I said OK and ended the call. I check my account and it says the same thing [redacted] said, I will get my refund in 2 business days. I waited the 2 business days and more and no refund. I call [redacted] and play phone tag for several daysDesired Settlement: I would just like the money I paid for my bulb refunded to my account just as fast as they took it out.

Review: This vendor used false advertising and delivered an incomplete product. I purchased a twin pack of replacement lamps for a [redacted] projector, yet only one lamp was delivered. The item is clearly stated on their site as ET-LAD57W - Twin Pack and shows a picture of two lamps, but again, I received only one. I have confirmed with [redacted] that the W means twin pack and the correct part for this Projector, PT-D5700 which uses two lamps to achieve 6000 lumens. I have attempted to contact Advanced Lamps twice via email and have left two phone messages explaining the problem. No reply so far!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of half of my cost since I received only half of a product.

Review: Purchased a lamp and housing for my TV online on 06/25/13. I received the product on Friday, 06/28/13 in mail. When I took box out of mialbox the one corner was smashed and I wondered about damage. When I opened the box, the plastic housing was broken with those pieces and brackets that holds lamp in the bottom of the plastic bag. I called and left message(no one available to take my call) and emailed company about problem. They never responded and on Tuesday 07-02-13 I called again and spoke with [redacted]. He said I would get return address label by email and then I had to send the lamp back in order to receive a new lamp. He said I should receive email by that evening or next day. I didn't receive email and I called on 07-04-13 at 8:23 a.m. CST and left message (no one avaiable to take my call). No one called back. I called on 07-05-12 and spoke with [redacted]. He said for me to check my trash, which I did and email was not in there. However, I did receive email at 2:41 p.m., which was several minutes after I had spoken to him. I repackaged lamp and sent off before 4:30 p.m. that day. My account showed that they received defective lamp back on 07/08/13. I called on 07-12-13 at 12:34 p.m. I was told by [redacted] that they were processing retun. He was not able to speak to that department, when he tried to call the line was busy. He said I would receive email when they sent bulb. I called back on 07-19-13 at 11:30 a.m. CST and left message (no one available to answer my call). They accepted my payment by [redacted].
