Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below When Sidex sold these windows they warrantied them as the entire window if the windows were damaged or scratched in any way including the glass the warranty was to cover the replacementThis warranty was the reason we purchased them from Sidex, it is not my problem that the window supplier has gone out of business, it is Sidex's responsibility to honor their warranty Regards, [redacted]

SiDEX is STILL baffled by this complaint!No one at this company, in years time, has ever had a sample of leaf guard gutter protection, let alone show a sample to a customerIf a sample of this material were in front of us right now, we wouldn’t know it(If it is made of aluminum, SiDEX hasn’t used aluminum gutter protection in approximately years.)SiDEX has NEVER, in over years, dealt with ABC Seamless! NEVER! (Not as an employee, sub-contractor or otherwise.) (It is also our understanding that ABC Seamless manufactures seamless steel siding & is sold thru a franchise onlyIf a franchise also does gutters, so be it.......not our concern and none of our business.)The individual that installed the door (and storm window) was and is an employee of SiDEX ( as well as being Lead Safe certified).We’re sorry to say, there seems to be an awful lot of confusion on this matter

the warranty in question was with Republic Windows and Doors, the company went out of business December of 2008, as we advised the McCormacks of this, explained that we could help them but it would be at their cost to replace the broken glass, furthermore, if the warranty was in place broken glass is not a warrantied item and they would have to pay to replace anyway, we informed her that it would be cheaper to look locally as we not only would have to charge her for the glass we would have to charge for a trip charge as it is not in Milwaukee, the company can not be held liable for poor business practices of the manufacturer

We have scheduled a service call to resolve his issues, yes it has taken longer than we would like it to take, our installers perform our service calls and we try to schedule around their installations, when Mr [redacted] called on 6/21, we had just received a cancellation for an install on 7/so we naturally assigned him that day as we had an opening right then and thereWe stand by our product and will do everything to correct the problem he is having

Even though manufacturer is out of business we continue to assist customers with there service requests, we went out of our way to find a glass manufacurer to remake failed thermal units, it is not an exact science, we have fair understanding how big the glass should be based on customers "exact" measurement, the glass is being remade and will receive them shortly and install them as soon as we get themAs far as reimbursement goes how can we be held liable for a companies inability to maintain their business

Service ticket has been reassigned to different installer,the installer lives closer to the city the ***'s reside in, should here from installer within a couple of days

I did originally have contact with Sidex back on Dec 27,w/a mesg left with receptionistNo reply.Called and left msg on Jan 4,No reply.Called and spoke w/ [redacted] on Jan He informed me that Republic was no longer in business.They would cut the cost of labor off, but we would have to pay for the glass itself onlyI said I contracted with Sidex, not themI returned call with measurements on 1/20/to ***He said he'd have me a quote back by the end of the weekIt didn't happen.Called again on 2/and was told I'd have the quote by email in hoursI received that email on 2/with the full breakdown of cost and all the glass installed of $for piecesThey HAD the measurements and we were given a total not an estimate for the jobThis was the winter and you don't replace windows in the dead of winter which is why I waited till 5/to start the jobI called and left msgs on 5/5,5/18, another on 5/along with an email, call on 5/and spoke with Jay who said the pieces were being made and my order was being processedAnother email on 6/to ***.Call on 6/and was told someone would return my call the next dayNOTHING! Left more msgs on several extensions on 7/along with an emailNOTHING! Now I'm with the Revdex.comTheir customer services SUCKS! They may be busy, but RETURN CALLS!!!This is very frustrating and time consumingI asked to have a representative from the company to do the measuring for assurance, but no goI would like to have clear windows once again! PLEASE!!!

Service was entered and isuued out on 8/3/15, services can take anywhere from 10-business Days from the time the incident is reported, our service person has been busy this summer as can be expected and will get to the service as soon as possible, yes we have waved the labor this one time, it
should be noted that the damaged screen was done by her dogs and not wear and tear, damage such as this is typically not covered by warranty

We have reached an amicable agreement between Sidex and *** *** that will resolve the complaint

We have now received the replacement screens, when mr Villanueva last called, we explained that when the screens came in we would be out to correct the problem with the other casement, now that we are in receipt of the screens we can schedule the service all, the service call has been issued out to
our service tech and he will be receiving a call this week
