the glass is in our warehouse, we are trying to get it scheduled, it is large and needs two men to remove and reinstall the new glass, will issue the service call to the installers again
We have picked up the glass, have assured mrs *** via phone call on Friday 8/14/that she would be contacted to install new glass
We have explained to Mr. [redacted] on 2 separate occasions that the manufacturer has gone out of business, manufacturer's have proprietary parts and manufacturing techniques that prohibit us from purchasing replacement glass from our current manufacturer, they simply cannot duplicate the replacement...
glass to fit Mr. [redacted]s patio door, even if We were able to get it for our manufacturer we would have to charge him for the cost of the glass as we explained to him that the patio door was warrantied by Armaclad Windows and Doors which has gone out of business, we were not the manufacturer of the patio door merely the dealer selling their product, we no it is unfortunate but there is no where for us to get a warrantied piece of glass

When Sidex sold these windows they warrantied them as the entire window if the windows were damaged or scratched in any way including the glass the warranty was to cover the replacement. This warranty was the reason we purchased them from Sidex, it is not my problem that the window supplier has gone out of business, it is Sidex's responsibility to honor their warranty.

I have not heard from Sidex Corporation of Wisconsin and I am not satisfied with the Sidex's efforts to close this matter.Thank you,[redacted]
As stated in earlier responses, we will stand by the warranty that the manufacturer provided, her screens in this case have been ordered and as was stated earlier the service labor and charges being assessed by the manufacturer are being waived. As stated earlier Sidex cannot be held liable for animals causing damage to screens.
Service ticket has been reassigned to different installer, the installer lives closer to the city the [redacted]'s reside in, should here from installer within a couple of days
We have scheduled a service call to resolve his issues, yes it has taken longer than we would like it to take, our installers perform our service calls and we try to schedule around their installations, when Mr [redacted] called on 6/21, we had just received a cancellation for an install on 7/1 so we...
naturally assigned him that day as we had an opening right then and there. We stand by our product and will do everything to correct the problem he is having
As I explained to Mr [redacted], our service department is back logged, I have documented all of his inquiries in our service log:11/30/15-has not heard anything, wants this resolved, left voice mail11/18/15-floor of the tub has alot of give and feels spongy, does not hear squishy sound but very...
spongyWe have his service request and we are working diligently to get it scheduled, we have not forgotten about him and should be getting to his service in the next week
It has been determined that this is mfg. defect and new tub has been ordered.
We have the slip resistant coating and are trying to find a time we can come out and apply this to the tub, we will be contacting home owner shortly
the warranty in question was with Republic Windows and Doors, the company went out of business December of 2008, as we advised the McCormacks of this, explained that we could help them but it would be at their cost to replace the broken glass, furthermore, if the warranty was in place broken glass...
is not a warrantied item and they would have to pay to replace anyway, we informed her that it would be cheaper to look locally as we not only would have to charge her for the glass we would have to charge for a trip charge as it is not in Milwaukee, the company can not be held liable for poor business practices of the manufacturer
Initially spoke with Mrs. [redacted] In February, it was explained to her that the manufacturer(Republic Windows and Doors) is out of business and that the warranty was with them and not Sidex Corp, upon further discussion we said we would try and help, the first e-mail asking for verification of...
visible glass sizes was February 18th, and at that time a rough price was provided dependent upon the actual measurements Mrs [redacted] was to provide us, nothing was heard form her until May and at that time she simply stated she wanted to move forward, no measurements were provided or nothing was mentioned regarding the rough pricing, since May we have been extremely busy and have been in the southern part of the state, we no longer travel to the Oshkosh area on a regular basis as we once did, we would like to assist Mrs [redacted] but we need to get the sizes verified and until we can get someone to her home we would ask her to be patient with us and wait until the summer slows down, in the mean time if she could once again provide us with accurate measurements of the failed glass units, measuring VISIBLE GLASS down to a fraction of an inch making sure NO TO INCLUDE ANY VINYL ONLY THE GLASS than we can at least see what we are dealing with, due to our busy schedules e-mail is preferable as we are in and out of the office
will be contact Tuesday 1/102/16 to schedule install next week
As was told to the customer, we are assisting our customers with replacing the failed glass units, and are waiving the price of install, the cost is for glass only, we are not liable for a companies inability to maintain their business and we are doing our best to service our customers
Glass replacement has been received, issuing service ticket to installer working in Sun Prairie next week, will be contacting you to install the 2 correct pieces of glass
SiDEX is STILL baffled by this complaint! No one at this company, in 30 years time, has ever had a sample of leaf guard gutter protection, let alone show a sample to a customer. If a sample of this material were in front of us right now, we wouldn’t know it. (If it is made of aluminum, SiDEX hasn’t used aluminum gutter protection in approximately 15 years.)SiDEX has NEVER, in over 30 years, dealt with ABC Seamless! NEVER! (Not as an employee, sub-contractor or otherwise.) (It is also our understanding that ABC Seamless manufactures seamless steel siding & is sold thru a franchise only. If a franchise also does gutters, so be it.......not our concern and none of our business.)The individual that installed the door (and storm window) was and is an employee of SiDEX ( as well as being Lead Safe certified). We’re sorry to say, there seems to be an awful lot of confusion on this matter.
