This is in response to your BBB inquiry. Afni appreciates the opportunity to respond to the consumer’s concerns. On August 24, 2016, [redacted] forwarded the subject account, [redacted] account #: [redacted] , Afni Inc. account #: [redacted] , with Afni for collections on the balance of $1,027.15.... The account is for services established on June 24, 2015, until [redacted] considered the account delinquent on August 17, 2015.The billing address associated with the account is 1015 West 59th Street Apt 2A Chicago, Illinois 60621, and the phone numbers are [redacted] and [redacted] . Afni mailed the initial notice of the account on August 27, 2016. On October 9, Afni furnished the credit reporting agencies with notice of the account. On November 10, Afni received a letter from the consumer disputing the account. In response, Afni ceased communication and initiated an investigation. On November 14, Afni sent the consumer verification of the account. On December 28, Afni received a dispute from the credit reporting agencies, reviewed all relevant information, and responded appropriately. On January 19, 2017, Afni received this complaint. In response, Afni ceased communication and initiated another investigation. Afni has attached bill copies and the contract from service, as validation. To address the consumer’s concern, Afni received the consumer’s letter disputing the account on November 10, 2016, and responded four days later on November 14, with bill copies as validation. In an effort to assist the consumer, Afni will send a request to the credit reporting agencies to remove the account from the consumer’s credit report. However, this does not mean that the account is not still due and owing. It simply means that Afni has made the decision to no longer furnish the account to the credit reporting agencies. Afni will continue to cease communication on the account. The consumer may contact a Compliance Specialist at [redacted] , if she would like to discuss the account further.

On June 21, 2017, [redacted] forwarded the subject account, [redacted] account #: [redacted] , Afni, Inc. account #: [redacted] , with Afni for collections on the balance of... $164.48. Please note that this is for bundled services and all equipment charges are not included in the balance Afni is collecting upon. The account is for satellite services which [redacted] considered the account delinquent on April 6, 2015. The billing address associated with the account is [redacted] Statham, GA 30666. Afni mailed the initial notice of the account on or about June 23, 2017. On August 28, 2017, Afni furnished the credit reporting agencies with notice of the account. On March 6, 2018, the consumer paid $164.48 via Afni’s website to close the account as paid in full. On March 11th, Afni updated the credit reporting agencies on the paid in full status of the account. On April 3, 2018, Afni received this complaint. This was Afni’s first contact with the consumer. In response, Afni ceased communication and initiated an investigation. Afni has provided bill copies for the consumer's reference. To address the consumer’s concern, Afni’s standard operating procedure is to request removal of this account from the credit reporting agencies 365 days after the account is closed by Afni as paid or settled in full unless other deletion criteria, such as the 7 year age of obsolescence, occurs first. However, in an effort to assist the consumer, Afni has sent a request to the credit reporting agencies to remove the account from the consumer’s credit report and has also attached a letter confirming said action took place. The attached credit deletion letter should suffice to assist the consumer with any financing he may be pursuing until the credit reporting agencies update his credit report. Please be aware that it can take the credit reporting agencies up to 60 days to update consumer credit reports. Afni has no control over how quickly the credit reporting agencies update consumer credit reports. As the account has been closed as paid in full, further inquiries should be directed to [redacted]

This is in response to your Revdex.com inquiry Afni appreciates the opportunity to respond to the consumer’s concerns On December 8, 2016, [redacted] forwarded the account, [redacted] account #: [redacted] , Afni, Incaccount #: [redacted] , with Afni for collections on the balance of $ The account is for cellular services established on August 17, 2012, until [redacted] considered the balance delinquent on February 9, The billing address associated with the account is [redacted] CA 94533, which is the same address the consumer listed on the complaint, and the phone number is [redacted] Afni attempted to mail the initial notice of the account to the consumer on January 27, Afni received notice that the address was incorrect and did not receive an updated address On March 19th, Afni furnished the credit reporting agencies with notice of the account On June 6, 2017, Afni received this complaint This was Afni’s first contact with the consumer In response, Afni ceased communication and initiated an investigation That same day, Afni received a dispute from the credit reporting agencies; while Afni has not responded yet, Afni will respond appropriately Afni has provided bill copies for the consumer's reference To address the consumer’s concerns, the account has not been purchased by Afni Afni received the account from [redacted] and acts as an agent on behalf of [redacted] ; therefore the consumer would not have a contract with Afni As a courtesy to the consumer, on June 11th, Afni sent a request to the credit reporting agencies to remove the account from the consumer’s credit report However, this does not mean that the account is not due and owing, simply that Afni will no longer furnish the account to the credit reporting agencies Afni trusts this response has addressed the consumer’s concerns, but if questions remain, or if she would like to discuss the account, she may contact a Regulatory Specialist at [redacted]
