Ms***, I have received a copy of your recent complaint to the Revdex.com regarding the sewage service for *** *** ***. Please be advised that based on the expiration of your termination posting notice, which was for non-payment of sewage charges since September 2015,
your water service was terminated by the Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC) on May 26, PAWC then revisited the property on July 22, to investigate why consumption was occurring They discovered that the curb box needs to be repaired Once they make that repair, your water service will be terminated again. Payment of the sewage account balance in the amount of $1,must be received by JTS in guaranteed funds of either cash, cashier’s check, or money orders to have this service restored. I have attached your sewage billing and payment history for your review. If you have any further questions in this matter, please contact me. Thank you, Julie AQ***Utility Billing ManagerJordan Tax Service, Inc.*** *** *** *** ***

Good morning, Mr. [redacted]. Pursuant to your above referenced complaint to the Revdex.com concerning bills for garbage collection at [redacted], Jordan Tax Service, Inc.’s (JTS) records reflect that, based on the deed transfer information received in 2013, the property address...

was the only address provided to JTS.  None of the garbage bills were returned by the post office as undeliverable.  JTS could only conclude that the bills were received.  Monthly sewage bills are mailed to the address as provided by the Pennsylvania American Water Company.  Currently, the sewage bills are being mailed to the property address in the tenant’s name.  As you may already be aware, the onus is on the owner to make certain that all charges that could result in a lien against the property are paid. As a courtesy, JTS will be crediting the extra costs associated with the previously unpaid 2014 through 2016 garbage charges.  This credit will appear on your forthcoming 2017 garbage bill, which is scheduled to be mailed on February 1, 2017. If you have any further questions in this matter, please contact me. Thank you, Julie A. Q[redacted]Utility Billing ManagerJordan Tax Service, Inc.[redacted]

Mr. [redacted], Pursuant to your above referenced complaint to the Revdex.com, you and I spoke via telephone on February 16, 2017.  On that day, you informed me that you had already spoken directly with [redacted] Township regarding your request for a waiver of late charges assessed due...

to unpaid sewage charges.  The Township advised me the following week that they had denied your request. As a courtesy, Jordan Tax Service, Inc. has waived the posting fee in the amount of $35.00.  Once your payment of $644.71 posts to your account, the sewage account balance will be zero. Please remember to expect a quarterly sewage bill in April, July, October, and January. If you have any further questions in this matter, please contact me. Thank you, Julie A. Q[redacted]Utility Billing ManagerJordan Tax Service, Inc.[redacted]

Here are JTS’ answers to your follow-up questions: 1.       The on-line “eBilling” service that JTS currently has is for sewage charges only.  Stormwater is billed annually and only on paper.  You may pay your stormwater charges on-line for a fee of 2 ½% of the amount of your payment.2.       Stormwater and sewage charges are billed and collected separately.  The payments for each are not shared.3.       For the purposes of stormwater billing, JTS is notified of the sale of a property but not of an alternate mailing address.  When we did a cross-check of the Allegheny County Real Estate web site, we found your NC mailing address.4.       Sewage eBilling is not real time; it is updated when a sewage bill is produced. Please let me know if you have any further questions in these matters. Thank you, Julie A. Regards,
[redacted]I contacted The Revdex.com in early February concerning excessive sewage fees. The representative of Jordan Tax Service provided me with a pay off figure. I explained that I have made a $150 which she initially could not find. I was to be provided with an update pay up amount and never was. I phoned Jordan Tax Services and the representative said there was no record of this.An update pay up amount email or mailed to my home so I can take care of this

Ms. [redacted], Pursuant to your recent follow-up questions to the Revdex.com, below please find my last e-mail to you regarding a settlement of this debt that was to be paid no later than March 23, 2016. Regarding your reference to a payment of $150.00, a payment of $100.00 posted to sewage account #[redacted] on February 25, 2016.  I have attached your sewage billing and payment history for your review. As the municipality’s pay-off offer has expired, we would have to contact them again on your behalf.  Please let me know if that it is the action that you would like JTS to take. Thank you, Julie A. Q[redacted]Utility Billing ManagerJordan Tax Service, Inc.[redacted]

Ms. [redacted], Pursuant to your letter dated February 29, 2016, we apologize for not responding to your first notice of the above referenced complaint. On January 27, 2016, Jordan Tax Service, Inc. (JTS) returned the 2014 Part Year Resident Return that [redacted] filed.  Ms. [redacted]’s...

filing was returned due to her omission of the other addresses, dates of residency, and copies of the returns for the other resident locations. In response, JTS received 2014 documents from Ms. [redacted] that were incomplete.  JTS responded to Ms. [redacted] again, but unfortunately we included documents for another resident. On February 11, 2016, Ms. [redacted] called JTS to notify us that we had provided incorrect documents to her.  At that time, a JTS representative asked Ms. [redacted] to return the incorrect forms along with her two tax returns; one for each of the municipalities that she resided in. JTS has once again reviewed our policies and procedures and the importance of taxpayer confidentiality with our staff. If you have any further questions, please contact me. Thank you, Julie A. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My point is this, in 2015 my quarterly statements did NOT reflect a balance forward and because of this I believed my account to be current.  This business should change their practices so that a balance remains on their QUARTERLY statements until it has been paid in full.
Regards,
[redacted]

Good evening, Ms. [redacted]. I have received a copy of your recent complaint to the Revdex.com.  Jordan Tax Service, Inc.’s (JTS) records do not indicate that you and I have spoken in the past, so please let me give you some background on the sewage account for service at **...

[redacted]. You are aware that JTS bills sewage charges on behalf of the Borough of [redacted].  The Borough’s sewage treatment rates are currently $14.63 per thousand gallons.  I believe that this is about $4.50 per thousand gallons more than you are being billed for water consumption.  You would have to consult your [redacted] Water Company bill to be certain, but I believe their water rate for your area is $10.21 per thousand gallons. Attached please find your sewage billing and payment history.  Because of your sporadic payment history (see page 4 and 5 of the attachment), you have defaulted on three payments plans, and you have incurred interest, service expense, and fees. The Borough of [redacted] may entertain a reduction in the assessed interest charges, if you are in a position to make a lump sum payment.  If so, please let me know what you propose as a pay-off figure, and I will submit that to the Borough for review. If you are not in the position to request a pay-off, then you could eliminate this debt within a year if you make regular, monthly payments of the current charges as billed plus at least $100.00 per month. If you have any further questions or concerns in this matter, please contact me. Thank you, Julie A. Q[redacted]Utility Billing ManagerJordan Tax Service, Inc.[redacted]

Mr. [redacted], I have received your complaint to the Revdex.com regarding the billing for sewage service at [redacted].  Below please find your most recent eBill notification, which was sent successfully according to Jordan Tax Service, Inc.’s records....

Additionally, you made five One-Time (not via the Auto Draft feature) payments via Sewage eBilling on the following dates:  3/19/2015, 7/30/2015, 12/29/2015, 2/28/2016, and 5/30/2016.  Lastly, late charges are assessed to any unpaid sewage charges in accordance with the Township’s ordinance. Please make certain to add “schedulepayment.com” to your list of acceptable senders.  If you would rather have me cancel your enrollment in Sewage eBilling in order to resume paper billing via first class mail, please let me know.  Subject #:Your New Jordan Tax Service, Inc. Regards,
[redacted] hello, I am rejecting this response by the business.  They only messaged me once about the issue of them losing my private personal information. It was sent in by my tax professional and by myself.  They should have had this information, but they said they never received it. So someone must have picked it up in their office and stolen it or misplaced it. The fact that it went missing and they can’t find it is disturbing. This was a breach in their own security and the people that they serve should know about this.  I also asked for someone higher up to contact me but they continue to not do this. I have only talked with an employee.  I have asked multiple times to speak with a manager about this but they don’t want to do so. I am in the process of contacting the state about this because it has not Ben felt with fairly or professionally. The fact that they ignored my requests for this to be looked into is disturbing.  How many more people did this happen to? My guess is many.  The fact that they don’t want to discuss this with me makes them look guilty.  So I am rejecting their response, as it does not help me.   Thank you.

[redacted], Pursuant to the Revdex.com complaint number [redacted], Jordan Tax Service, Inc. (JTS) has called and left a message at the daytime telephone number that you provided, [redacted], but we did not receive a return call.  From your statement of the problem,...

it sounds as if you made payment of the delinquent 2014 property taxes to the [redacted] County Treasurer after they had already been transferred to JTS for collection.  To determine if this is the case, please provide a copy of the front and back of the payment in question. If you have any further questions in this matter, please contact me. Thank you, Julie A. Mr. [redacted] I apologize for the discourteous service that you received via telephone today.  I spoke with Patty to obtain your sewage account number, and she also apologized.  Her notes indicate that she advised you that the April 30, 2016 bill is your final sewage bill for service...

through March 14, 2016. Due to your good payment history, JTS will be able to waive the late charges associated with your January 29, 2016 sewage bill in the amount of $13.27.  Please remit payment in the amount of the usage charges of $126.49 by May 30, 2016, and I will be able to remove the late charges. If you have any further questions in this matter, please contact me. Thank you, Julie A. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.1) I requested a reconciliation from the time that I closed on the property, and become owner of the property and I did not receive the reconciliation.2) If I was the "owner of record" for [redacted], then why did the refunds go to [redacted]?3)  When I closed on the property, as part of my closing I had to pay the 2013 Interim Tax Bill to [redacted] - Which I did and which was part of the closing4)  I have over $10K outstanding in funds that left my escrow account, yet did not get refunded.4) If the block/lot changed, then how could I have owed the interim tax? The tax for that property would have been double paid. Once under the original block/lot designation at closing, and then subsequently on the additional demand afterwards. Please complete the attached template per my original request.  I just want to see an accounting from the time that I closed on the property, to today.

Mrs. [redacted], In response to your above referenced complaint to the Revdex.com on January 25, 2016, attached please find documentation of the unpaid 2012 sewage charges for service at [redacted].  They are as follows: 1.       A copy of sewage lien with...

[redacted]2.       A copy of the original sewage bill for the fourth quarter 2012 dated February 22, 2013 and a copy of the reminder notice for those charges when they went unpaid dated April 9, 20133.       A copy of the delinquent notice of these unpaid sewage charges dated September 12, 20134.       A copy of the delinquent notice of these unpaid sewage charges dated November 10, 2014 If you have any further questions in this matter, please contact me. Thank you, Julie A. Q[redacted]Utility Billing ManagerJordan Tax Service, Inc.[redacted]

I have received your letter dated July 11, 2016 regarding the above referenced complaint number. JTS’ position is that the customer was aware of the quarterly bills because he logged in to his Sewage eBilling account on JTS’ web site to make one-time payments.  [redacted] Township, JTS’ client, takes the position of not waiving late charges associated with unpaid sewage charges.  No refund is due on Mr. [redacted]’s sewage account, as no over-payment was made. Please let me know what further action is necessary on the part of JTS. Thank you, Julie A. Re: Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]Dear Ms. [redacted]In regards to Ms. [redacted]’s complaint regarding an $11.86 processing fee for a credit card payment for sewage to avoid water termination please be advised of the following. When a customer receives an “Official Notice to Shut-Off Water’’ we do require...

payment be made by cash, cashier’s check or money order. We also accept payments at any of our locations, which the customer has utilized in the past. We do not accept a regular payment through normal channels to stop or restore a water termination. To be clear, we do not take credit card payments at our office or over the telephone. However, for the convenience of our customers, we do provide a link to a third party site for echeck or credit card payments. This site is used by many agencies including the Federal and State Government. Our notices indicate that “A third-party processing fee will be charged for this service” and the vendors website clearly states the convenience fee and gives a total to the user before they can proceed. We will not be refunding a fee that was not charged by our office. If you have any further questions in this matter, please contact me at ###-###-####.Sincerely,TreasurerJordan Tax Service, Inc.
