Due to covid 19 I was unable to take a trip to Alberta in March. I used all my Airmiles points and over $500. Airmiles said it was booked through *** which is a third party but won't give me any information to contact ***. I contacted *** who said I have to contact Airmiles. How does this make sense. I contacted *** who said they would allow me to travel when the travel bans are lifted but I have to do it through Airmiles who said there is nothing they can do because it was booked through a third party. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!

I have repeatedly attempted to obtain a refund of air miles miles deducted subsequent to a hotel booking scheduled for March 31, 2020. I indicated to air miles two days before Check-in date that I wanted to cancel due to pandemic Covid-19 situation. Air Miles indicated that my refund would be reviewed and provided a telephone number (1-888-807-5688). I called subsequently three times once every month. They forever game me the same unacceptable reason. They said it was under review as well as other similar cases. The air miles to be refunded amounts to 990 miles and a fee of $30.06. The last inquiry I made was May 21, 2020. Again, I received the same review response. I understand that Air Canada's Aeroplan program have acted more proactively and has issued Covid-19 refunds more promptly. I wish to have this matter resolved asap.

Desired Outcome

A full refund of my Air Miles deducted-990 miles plus $30.06 booking fee.

I accept the terms of the resolution obtained between Revdex.com and Air Miles. The matter was resolved to my entire satisfaction. I had planned a trip this spring and booked several hotels through Air Miles -- using miles that I had accumulated over several years! Now, of course, the destination countries are in lock down, and the trip has had to be canceled due to Covid. And, Air Miles is offering a 'refund' which consists of losing all my miles and getting about 10$ back of the fees I paid. How is that in anybody's mind a refund??

Contrast that to ***, who provided a full refund of my miles, plus 100% of the fees that I paid.

It's clear who is 'customer-focused' and who is not!

And, as John says, making it difficult to contact anybody (even in these strange times) is, de facto, making it impossible to even negotiate a refund.

I know companies are trying to cope at this time. It's March 19 and the Coronavirus is officially a pandemic. During a time like this, the last thing you want to deal with is a company you can't reach.

I booked a vacation this weekend but had to cancel due to the Coronavirus. I have no choice and it's out of my control.

I booked the hotel using Air Miles "Dream" points that took me years to accumulate. But now when I want to reach them to request a refund - they're nowhere to be found. I called and waited over 8 hours in total. I've tried through live chat and they told me their travelhub is separate from Air Miles (even though I used my Air Miles points and booked through their website!). They said they couldn't help and my only choice is to continue waiting on the phone...... I've waited over 8 hours!

This is a BLATANT act of not allowing us to request a refund. No email I can contact, no callback request, their website says I can refund but lose all my points and only get $10 back.........

. First off their travel portion of their website hardly ever works. Once you can get into it, there are never any flights for their advertised number or air miles. Flights way more than advertised. Then once you get to the page to pay for the flight, the fees and taxes mysteriously jump higher than advertised. Way better to have *** points if you are a traveler. At least they are honest.

I have responded by email. There business hours don't correspond with my available hours.

I misplaced my card and tried to go online to order a new one. I couldn't sign in because I can't remember what my postal code was the last time they locked me out. Why even use a postal code as a means of identify verification? People move a lot and not everyone remembers their old postal codes. As I type this review, I'm sitting on hold for an estimated 51 minutes. Why don't you hire some more people? This is an obvious attempt to encourage people to abandon their air miles and just start collecting with a new card.

Our company has sent an email inviting the client to please contact us for assistance and we have provided alternate contact information.

I ordered a "reward" product from Air Miles and it was not sent to me. I contacted Air Miles and they promised to send it a second time. They did not send it. Their web site states under "shipping details" that no information is available (implying they never sent it either time). I do not believe contacting them will resolve this, as they simply promise to send it and do not.

Desired Outcome

Deliver the product as promised. Clarify why Air Miles did this twice and whether other consumers have the same problem with Air Miles. Correct their practices.

Again they should organize themselves as I already responded to the business through the Revdex.com to say someone reached me yet they continually follow up demonstrations poor customer service and unorganized behaviour

The comment refers to repeated calls despite them not organizing who called me and what was done. The issue is outstanding as I requested additional points for the issue

I used Air-miles points to obtain *** 50's Retro Style Aesthetic 2-Slice Toaster - Gold. based on pics displayed on air-miles website.
Product was delivered , box indicated it was right model but actual product varied greatly from pic's displayed on site.
Contacting air-miles resulted in back and forth and refusal to exchange to same product but a different color , I kept insisting and send pics clearly showing differences .
my complaint went to another level resulting in an endless merry go rounds of emails, Calls that had eternal wait times resulting in persons transferring call to "other departments" that got dropped or ended up in endless holds. In last call rep. said they display on site what supplier gave them and my reply that they need to take it up with the supplier as what they show and what is delivered is not even close and I got another "escalation" that was a dead end.

Air miles accepted the merit of my complaint as being valid.
They agreed to take item back , credit the miles used to obtain the said item back into my account.
That in turn will allow me to obtain a replacement.
Therefore a resolution mechanism has been put in place , one my part , item was picked up by Air miles , it no remains for miles to be placed back in my account and order a replacement to consider the case closed .

[redacted] After being a collector for many years I hear my Air Miles are going to expire (that are older than 5yrs) on Dec 31, This accounts for close to 90% of my Miles since I barely use the card anymore and feel I get no value out of it from most retailersI have over $1,in points that I want to redeem for an all-inclusive vacationTurns out this cannot be done onlineOk fineSo I call and get placed on a 1-hold to listen to awful music, commercials and automated voicesFinally to be advised my call would not be answered as they were closing and asked me to book a call backI scheduled the call back, the machine repeated the desired date and time (hour time slot range) that they would call backI got NO call backI called again that evening, once again had the run around with automated voices and no live agents availableI told the machine again to call back this Friday which at the time was days away! I thought I would be resourceful and use their online chat tool to either book my vacation or at LEAST schedule an appointment to talk to this magical travel specialist and she told me that even she couldn't schedule thatDid I mention I had to wait almost hours before someone from online chat answered!? I think this is a [redacted] and I feel thankful I learned about this now and not in December or else I definitely would not be going on a trip as this is crazy and I have still yet been able to speak to someoneIf you call right now (4pm on a weekday) they tell you it is over a hour wait for a repHow is that possible? I am terrified for when I actually talk to someone if they will even have any trips available I can redeem forI have done a lot of research into what I want and have missed deals do to waiting for help [redacted]

[redacted] I logged on at 4:pm and entered into the 'line' for on line help chat...at 4:pm I was informed that I was 6th in line and a customer service rep would be with me shortly....well it is now 8:pm and I am now 4th in line....unbelievable what a waste of time....I am not going to disconnect as I can no longer sit here waiting for a customer service rep....hire more people or don't offer a service that you cannot not provide

I've been waiting for fulfillment of my Airmails Reward for nearly months Initially ordered a [redacted] Blu-Ray player which was then substituted for a Sony model- without any communication to me When I followed up a month ago, I was informed the issue was with suppliers for the product I challenge any organization who offers product which they do not have a supplier [redacted] On my last follow up it was suggested I wait a week, then I could call back and cancel Not sure why I'd cancel given I have the points, I want the items I've selected for redemption [redacted]

I have been promised by Air Miles that they will respond to my request within a maximum of 72 business hours after my original request. That was October 24th 2019, today is November 11th 2019. I have called many times to ask for a response and am told someone will contact me but no one has or, I believe ever will. The last person I spoke to at Air Miles is called ***, her phone number is X XXX XXX XXXX. I sincerely object to the treatment from Air Miles and ask for the Revdex.com to intervene. Thank You

I have just had my single-most frustrating experience ever trying to contact someone at Air Miles First I phoned and after surmounting many obstacles with an automated voice, I was put on hold Then the automated voice came back to tell me that I would be answered in some minutes It asked if I wanted to be called back I indicated "yes" and left my phone number I was told that my call would be answered in hours A few hours later, I was called and asked if I had requested to be called back I answered "Yes" Then I was put on hold for a long time, condemned to listen to some horrible loud music and, from time to time, more commercials that I'd already heard many timesAfter waiting for quite some time, I hung up in disgust I then tried the "chat" When I tried that, I was told that there was a pand I couldn't connect with "chat" Is all of this some plot to dissuade anyone from ever trying to contact Air Miles? Are we condemned to try to walk through their poorly laid-out web site?

November 30, - Have been trying to contact Air Miles to no avail - as so many others have stated, you are put on a wait list with a hour time frame but no one ever calls back Also, as others have stated, your have to listen to awful music, pre-recorded advert messages that will never happen I tried the call back system where they will give you a time and number of hours they will call back in - just once an automated system called back and just placed me on hold as I had been the previous day and no one ever got back to me The system locked me out as I was supposed to have a PIN, which I never got or have forgotten, so I tried a few times and then was told I was locked out which meant that I couldn't access some of their sites An awful experience - I will cancel my Air Miles card and will tell any business that offers points that it is a useless business

Been waiting several months for several rewardsEvery time I contact Air Miles I get the same old story that they are out of stock, or that stock just arrived and should be receiving my item shortlyHowever, the item is never shippedAlso, apparently they have no idea what is in their warehouse and when items are shipped, etcWhat I don't understand is if you don't have an item why let someone purchase it or even advertise it on your website? [redacted] I'll be getting rid of my Air Miles card and Credit Cards after this experienceThese miles are worthless if you can't use them or if you don't receive the item [redacted]

Air miles kept sending me emails until September but non of the emails were telling me that I'm going to lose my miles in OctoberThey just quietly took it away and not telling you so that they can make their profitsIn September I even requested an expiry statement due to the expiry policy concern, on the statement it was telling me that my miles would be expired by Dec 31st, but it didn't bother to mention that my account would be going to dormant in October When I called in, I was told my miles was 'retired' not 'expired', and they no longer send me emails since July What a joke!! when they decide to collect their money, they don't want you to know! Such a terrible programclose it right away

I have been trying for two weeks to contact Air Miles so I can redeem points that will expire on Jan1, Each time I call, I am told that I have to call back another day because they are too backed up to take my call I have tried the online chat, but I remain 5th in line after two hours' waiting I can't book a cruise or a package vacation through their website, and they won't take my calls or respond to the online chat I believe that Air Miles will steal the air miles that I have been collecting for years If they have blocked all methods of contact, what recourse do I have? I feel sick to my stomach that my many years' loyalty to this program will now be thrown away

The customer support centre has been non operational for weeks nowYou cannot get through to them by phone or live chat

Don't even bother with this "loyalty/rewards" program They devalue points, they tell you program reward miles will expire (make you use up points) and then change their minds and not allow miles to expire This was a ploy to make holders use their points! I [redacted]
