Air Rescue Air Conditioning Reviews (54)

I have not had a favorable experience with Air Rescue. In August of 2015 I was sold 2 heat pump units. It took them at least 6 months and many return visits, no-shows, and un-informed or un-prepared "technicians" showing up - to pass the city inspection. I even received a threat that they would report ME to the city for not having my units inspected when they were the ones who had not returned to fix what was wrong. Among all those visits 2 resulted in leaking or broken pipes where disaster relief had to be called in to repair my walls and ceilings. About a month ago I went into my attic for the first time since all of this took place, to find it was cool. Yes, I've been air conditioning my attic for a year. The technician who came this time was very nice and says he thinks he repaired the leak, but it was hard to reach. Am I feeling confident? Not really.

Bobby was awesome; professional, friendly, knowledgeable, clean and respectful. I'd request him every time!

I've been with Air Rescue since 2007 and Ruth is by far the most thorough technician that has provided my service. All Air Rescue technicians are cordial and polite but I've had none as thorough in their work as Ruth. I by name request her when I need service. I'm concerned with Air Rescue's employee turnover so I hope they take good care of Ruth. She found a problem today that was not found during two previous visits. In Nov 2015 it was recommended that I have a dye injection because low refrigerant was noticed. I was told I probably had a leak in my system so I paid $390 for a dye injection. A leak check was done in Dec 2015. No leak was found. Another leak check was done in March 2016, no leak was found. Ruth did a check today...no leak was found. However, through her troubleshooting she noticed bubbling from a schrader valve connection required for refrigerant evaluation. She confirmed the valve was loose and tightened it. Thank you Ruth! Will Air Rescue offer some cost consideration for the dye injection I paid for? Ruth is my reason for a 10 rating. Please take good care of her Air Rescue.

Arrived within the hour. Diagnosed the problem and explained the issue. Did not make a mess.

We needed service on our A/C.I called and they set an appt. They came on time and told us we really needed a new A/C because our unit was old and there were no parts .I told them I couldn`t afford to buy a new one right now. They worked a special deal and made it possible to replace it now.My wife & I are 80 yrs old and we don`t have a lot of money, but Air Rescue made it possible. Our new unit is going in today..Thank you

Both technicians who serviced my air conditioner did an excellent job of diagnosing and ordering the correct parts to repair. Service was prompt and courteous.

Scott was efficient and cordial. He got the AC cooling the house and came back two weeks later to check the system and follow up on the dye detection. He confirmed the system warranty, and we anticipate a full resolution to the problems we've been having with the AC.

Scott, did an excellent job on the service and maintenance of our units.

Robert did a great. He was competent and polite. Please send him again.

Jamil was the first technician to trouble shoot my fan problems, not just guess at. He also had the experience to look at likely issues. After 5 months I think AR has finally fixed the problem.

We have been Air Rescue customers for many years we even bought a whole new unit from them. We have a service contract so when our air wasn't working they came out the same day, not cost. We are happy with Air Rescue and will stay with them unless they give us a reason not to.

Excellent. Steve W[redacted] inspected and adjusted my father-in-law's HVC system this afternoon. I was impressed with Mr. W[redacted]'s knowledge and ability. He checked the entire system, including crawling into the attic to inspect the ducts. His effort to go the extra mile is something no other air condition service company has been willing to do and it was greatly appreciated.

Had our entire A/C system replaced by Air Rescue. Initially hiccups with a number of paid-for items that had to be addressed after-the-fact. The cost/quotes were relatively expensive but orders to leave the area prevented further research into other companies.

I will add, however, that the most recent service call by a young man named: Pete, was probably the best call we have ever experienced since inception of the system in 2009! Pete is the ONLY person that did not try to up-sell us on other services regarding our A/C.... all other service rep's have in the past; each and every one of them! We have a service contract with them and even with this not-so-old complete overhaul, the up-sell angers us more than anything!

KUDOS to "Pete" for being professional, swift and honest!

Had new unit installed 3 years ago. Blew the compressor and was happy to hear that I had a five year parts and one year labor warrantee so my parts were covered and I would only pay labor.

Then they told me that the labor would be on the order of $1,250 but that as a club member I would get a 20% discount - ONLY $992.00 for me.

They replaced the compressor and the total time spent on the job was 2.5 hours including the original visit of ½ hour to diagnose the problem - so about $397.00 per hour. As the technician left he said he would arrange to have the Compressor Wire Harness and the Crank Case Heater replaced at no additional charge.

Three days later I get a call to arrange the follow up installation and am told this will be an $800 job but my club member price was only $650 (Keep in mind that my parts are free I only pay Labor). I argued that I was told this was to be included in the original cost and they did eventually acknowledge that. The technician came out and completed this job in 30 minutes using a screw driver.

So in summary, 3 total hours labor was spent on my job with a quoted "labor only" price of $2,000 and a club member price of $1,600 - $666.00 per hour for just anyone but only $553.00 per hour to me a club member who pays them $12.00 per month for a semiannual check up. Even my eventual "most favored customer under warrantee" cost was $331.00 per hour

Technicians were polite and capable but once your Labor Warrantee is expired (1 Year) you're paying for both parts and labor no matter what they call it.
