I do not want their Huntsville Life flier thrown on my property.
I have asked in the past to not get their weekly flier of ads, in a bag labeled Huntsville Life, thrown on my property. I consider this to be littering and it cause problems if I'm away from home for a while.
I have worked through the Revdex.com to get this stopped in the past, but delivery has started again.
The last incident was Revdex.com CASE#: ***, where I was promised that I would never get the flier again, but it showed up today.

Desired Outcome

I want the delivery of the flier to stop permanently as promised by the business representative: Contact Name and Title: *** Contact Phone: *** Contact Email: *** *** is the Regional District Manager for The Huntsville Times. He will speak with the carrier to have delivery stopped. We are adding the address to the Do Not Deliver file. *** will give *** his contact information. If further assistance is needed, *** can call ***. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I've spoken with the independent contractor who accidently delivered a Sunday newspaper to this address. He assured us this won't happen again as well as confirming no Huntsville Life product would be delivered here also.

We will also periodically confirm no delivery happens at her address.

If* has any more concerns about delivery she's welcome to contact me by email or calling me from the information listed below.

I will be completely satisfied if Huntsville Times never throws another flier/paper/advertisement on my property. Until then I remain skeptical since they have made this promise in the past and have broken that promise more than once.

And for what it's worth, it's not Ms. it's Mr.

Alabama Media Group Response • Jun 05, 2018

I spoke with *** and although I can't promise it will never happen again, as independent contractors are who do the delivering,, I assured him our district manager and myself will continue to drive down his street and confirm the Huntsville Life product will be delivered to only the proper households. He has both my office and cell number and he's welcome to contact me at anytime. I personally checked delivery on this street the last week of May and we will continue to monitor.

Delivery of unsolicited material thrown in yard.
The Birmingham News or its affiliate AL.com continues to deliver the Birmingham Times Paper and sale ads despite 3 phone calls to the appropriate number listed in the paper to opt out. The paper and ads are not something I choose to receive and are litter on my property. There are many people that have had this same problem.

Desired Outcome

The resolution I am seeking is that unsolicited papers not be thrown on my property.

I continue to get the Yes! Essential Shopper thrown in my yard even though I have requested NUMEROUS times that I do not want it.
I DO NOT WANT THIS and have said so many times. The next time I receive this unwanted publication, I will file a complaint with the police for littering in my yard and follow through with a law suit (yes, its that serious!!!) NO MEANS NO. THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING.

Desired Outcome

STOP THROWING THIS UNWANTED PUBLICATION IN MY YARD FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF TIME.

The Press Register

Huntsiville Times continues to deliver and bill months after I cancelled the paper.
Initially I agreed to restart the paper for one month due to a special. It was to only renew if I requested it do so. After the month, we continued to get the paper and a bill. In November, I called to pay the bill and verbally cancel the paper despite not agreeing to have it delivered except for the one month. The customer service person said they have a 90 day grace period once your subscription expires so they continue to deliver the paper. I agreed to one month and was not told that it would continue for three more months if I didn't cancel. I made it clear that we had not agreed to the a subscription beyond one month and this would be the only bill we would pay. We continued to receive the paper. I called to complain. I was told the system said that I had cancelled the paper and they did not know why the carrier continued to deliver. Today I received a past due notice in the mail. I feel like I am being held hostage to paying these bills. I do not want to be turned over to collection for a $12 bill so I will be forced to pay it. I simply want the paper to not be delivered and I do not want to be invoiced for something I did not agree to. I am making this complaint because I cannot get this resolved with the paper.

Desired Outcome

I do not want the paper to be delivered to my home. I do not want to be called by their solicitors again. I want a credit for this last bill of $12.08. I did not agree to this delivery so I should not have to pay.

I have made numerous attempts since Nov. 2017 to have the billing department send me a copy of my paid subscription bill,(1/1/17-6/1/18),no avail
I have been complaining to operator #'s 84584, 84725, 84159, etc. for the past two month's to please send me a copy of my paid subscription bills to me. These should include start-stop dates, amount charged and paid for the script dates involved. I purchased the script last year in 26 week increments starting about 12/12/16, renewing 6/16/17, and renewing 11/10/17-1/7/18, script starting back up 1/12/18-6/1/18. These operators have tried to retrieve the info themselves to no avail and referred me to a email address, [email protected]. to which I sent an email to 1/16/18, and have had no responce. I talked to an employee in circulation 1/24/18 to see if the message had been received and he said he would get back to me. Still no response!

Desired Outcome

Please have the Alabama Media Group send me a copy of my paid subscriptions and notify me that it is on it's way.

They are still working on getting together receipts of payments made by me to match the dates that I paid for. Can you believe that this corporation does not have a department to send their customers a receipt for payments? I have been in the landlord/rental business since 1978 and have never had a company not be able to produce such a document(s). I miss the old Mobile Press!

Alabama Media Group Response • Feb 16, 2018

On 2/16/18 I spoke to the customer and he is now satisfied with the information that was sent to him regarding receipts needed.

On November 8, 2017, I wrote a check to the Huntsville Times for 52 weeks newspaper subscription. The Check was cashed on 17 November 2017. I contacted Huntsville Customer service via telephone on November 28th inquiring about my subscription, I was informed my subscription would be started. After more than 2 months of more than 10 telephones call and 3 email. I am more than disappointed with the Huntsville Times lack of service and results. I have requested a full refund for the money I paid for services not received. I was informed in Dec that my complaint would be handled immediately; this did not occur. Every time I phone, I have to explain the situation over and over and none of the supervisors have been of any help. I am completely frustrated and want nothing to do with the Huntsville Times Newspaper.

Desired Outcome

Refund I want a total refund for the check I submitted on 8 November 2017 for the amount of $104.45.

Birmingham News' refusal to stop throwing "free" advertising papers in my yard.
I have requested several times by phone and by website that they stop delivering the Birmingham Life and Birmingham Yes they are still being delivered. The first request was in July.

Desired Outcome

Stop delivering these papers to my address.

Alabama Media Group Response

The carrier has been notified to not throw the TMC and the Lead Manager is checking on this address weekly. The address has been added in the DND database in ANS also.

I have spoken with a manager and did not receive a paper this week. I am satisfied at this time. should the deliveries resume I will reopen. Thanks for your assistance.

I do not receive delivery of my paper on a regular basis. I have to call to report non-delivery and even then I may not get my paper.
I have been a subscriber of The Birmingham News for many years. From time to time I would have to call to report that I did not receive my Sunday paper. Sometimes after calling I still would not get the paper. But over the past several months this has happened almost every week. And today was the 6th week in a row that my paper did not arrive. My subscription is paid automatically with my credit card and is currently paid ahead for several months so I have ruled out a past due bill. I can see papers in my neighbors' yards so I assume the courier has been on my street. So I am not sure why my house is skipped every week. Each week I call and sometimes I get a replacement later in the afternoon but sometimes I don't. Today when I called at 8:45am after verifying my neighbors had received their papers, I spoke with a rude customer service rep named a ***. A few weeks ago after calling once again I was told that a manager would contact me the following week. I never heard from anyone and when I told *** that this morning she informed me that a manager would not call me. So I took that to mean she was calling me a liar. I do not appreciate the attitude when I am trying to receive what I paid for. I am extremely frustrated and feel that The Birmingham News does not care about their subscribers. I would like to find out why I continually have this problem and work to correct the issue. Since my subscription is set up on auto pay through my *** card, I do not know my account number. The subscription is listed in my name and information as follows:
***
***
*** AL
XXX-XXX-XXXX
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Desired Outcome

I want The Birmingham News to research this ongoing issue, figure out why this is a chronic problem and take the necessary steps to correct the problem so that it does not continue in the future. I would also like an explanation from a manager when this situation has been rectified.

I have not been contacted by anyone from The Birmingham News, including Mr. Last Sunday I received my paper for the first time in months without calling. But today, Nov 5th, I did not. I called this morning to report the nondelivery and was told I would receive a paper by 10:30 am. It is now 7:15pm and still no paper. My neighbors receive their papers each Sunday so I am still frustrated by the ongoing problem.

Alabama Media Group Response

We have something going on here. The paper is being delivered by the carrier and we have a picture he sent *** this past Sunday when it was delivered. *** is going to try the evening number and the cell number to reach customer. Next week, we are going to ask the carrier to throw two papers and see if the customer still gets at least one paper. He will also take a picture of the two papers delivered for our records. The independent contractor says he knows exactly where the house is and he has been asked by *** to take care of this. Again, if the customer would call *** at XXX-XXX-XXXX maybe we can get this straightened out.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I was contacted by *** this week and he has assured me he will get to the bottom of this. He stated that the customer service number I call to report nondelivery is not a local call center and that he does not always receive the messages. The carrier taking pictures of the delivered papers does not explain why I do not receive the paper. Is he sure he has the correct house number for his records? I would like to see a copy of the pictures to verify that the papers were left at my house and not at a neighbors house. My address is *** but there is also a *** Maybe he is confusing the abbreviation for Cove - Cv - with the abbreviation for Circle - Cr. At any rate Mr. has requested that in the future I contact him directly if I do not get the paper. Hopefully this will take care of the problem and I appreciate the effort.

I canceled Huntsville Times on July 17, 2017 for none delivery of newspaper. I was told I would receive a refund in 3 weeks. I contacted Huntsville Times on August 27, 2017 spoke with an ***; he was unable to provided any information on refund. I contacted Huntsville Times on August 28, 2017, spoke with *** he stated he saw I was owed a refund and accounting was processing. I have not received my refund as of today (Monday, September 25, 2017).

I have filed a complaint against Huntsville Times before case #*** newspaper not being delivered.

Thank you

Desired Outcome

Refund Refund and no correspondance; no apologizes from Huntsville Times.

Alabama Media Group Response

Thank you Revdex.com for all your assistance. The voice message was left today, got it please thank

I have asked for the cancellation Birmingham Life and I am still receiving it.
I have asked for the cancellation Birmingham Life by email 8-10 times, and by phone 2-3 times over the past several months. I am still receiving it. I spoke to a supervisor and he said he would take care of it. It was a lie. The publication often is lodged in my shrubs, or gets washed down the driveway during a rainstorm. I consider this to be a blatant act of littering, as I have made my request known that I do not wish to receive the publication.

Desired Outcome

I never want to see that publication on my property again.

There is no phone number on the complaint, but I have talked with our District Manager over the area and he will get with the distributor over this area and make sure the Birmingham Life is stopped. I asked Mr. for his number, but will follow back up with an email next week to make sure the paper stops. They paper may be thrown this week, but it will for sure stop next week.

Despite numerous requests to cease delivery, the company continues to deliver their free publication.
I originally contacted the company via their customer service phone number (205-325-2211) approx. 2.5 weeks ago and requested that the company cease the delivery of their free publication to my household. Unfortunately, the deliveries continued. Three subsequent requests were made to the company to cease deliver, the last of which being on 9/19/17. However, I still received the Sunday 9/24/17 publication. After 4 attempts to contact the company and resolve this issue independently, I now feel as though I am being ignored. This publication is nothing more than litter and I, as a homeowner, reserve the right to refuse delivery.

Desired Outcome

I simply want the company to stop delivering their free publication to my household, as this publication is nothing more that litter in my front yard.

I talked with *** and we got his papers stopped in the system and talked with the lead manager over that area to make sure it wasn't delivered anymore. The whole problem came forth due to the wrong product being stopped in the system. They stopped the TMC in the system but never stopped the Sunday Sample being delivered. It has now been corrected and I told *** it would be stopped and we would be checking on it.
Thanks
