Used this company for years, they have serviced and replaced an old unit and now service the one they installed Kyle was very professional and a pleasure to deal with

Alaskan Air has attempted times, over the past two years, to repair a known defective part on my air conditionerOn May 7th their service man explained the part must be replaced, it can no longer be repairedI was promised it would be replaced on Monday, May 9thOn the 9th I was informed I had to pay $to get the part delivered because they did not have it in stockI refused to pay the fee, the unit is under warranty and I have a service contract with Alaskan, I asked for a temporary repair while waiting for the partThis request was refusedI was then told the part would not be received until Friday the 13th and I would have to waitOn the 13th I was told by the office person that it came in late and a service person would be out Saturday morning to replace this defective partSaturday morning I was told the part was in their parts department, the door is locked and no one can get the part until Monday, May 16thI have serious health issues and the lack of air conditi

I strictly use *** *** I am an avid do it yourself type, had a handyman service, I am a mechanic/ electrician at my work, you can say I do it all,  but Writing in not my strong point so I apologize

WARNING!!! Made the mistake of purchasing the extended warranty with the new unit, it's not worry freeAbout $for 7yrs of tune ups about =what ever that suppose to meanThey tell me now it's twice a yearI tell you make sure you call them, Because  they will not call you, to do the annual serviceunless they want to sell you some more over priced not cover anything service agreement, they won't use the word warranty, very carful about thatEven though they try to sell you something, everytime they come with some over priced labor, you find out later, becarful
If something breaks down You have to still pay for the Diagnostic fee $and parts are free sounds good right! Well they jack up the labor, so you pay for everything and more because you have to pay the over priced labor of install, mine was $for my blower motorThey also have the nerve to attempt selling even more useless warranty at the time of breakdown which I think could drive the price up somewhere in the $rangeFor the blower motorThey have this laminated sheet starts out with what they call band aid just to intimate you, and it goes up from there, bronze, silver, gold, platinum and I think one moreVIP? My "Band-Aid" was about $Which is only laborTakes Less than an hour to install! BY an unexperienced person
  I purchased the blower motor myself from parts house  through  ** *** ***, great place very helpful for $a savings of $dollars and installed it myself in less than a hourDo the math I don't do this everyday but for me that's about $an hour I would get for the install, as a contractor I know they can get the motor a lot cheaper than I canAnd install it twice as fast
What a waste of money, never felt so bad about getting so ripped off!
I have a real bad back and I am getting older, thinking just  get the "service agreement " no worries, The only agreement I made was to get ripped off
I never want to use them again in my lifetimeTelling you Don't buy their Reem unit either, sitting out side sounds like a broken bass drum every time it shuts off, the service guy tells me, that's normalNeed to tell that to my company when they fall out of the lawn chair every time it shuts off.(By the way did I mention it's only 4yrs old)I purchased a year $??? I am so done with Alaskan they can do the tune ups, next or but I am watching them to see what I am getting for my money, if I need it serviced I am calling someone else, Their service technicians are very professional, friendly and nice, also clean, I did not have a problem with them, except they are programed to sell useless warranty, service agreements?? So someone at Alaskan read my *** and said call me and told me I didn't pay $sorry for the round up it was only $I paid to the penny.  for the VIP Service plan , I could send you a picture of the contractSo I guess your right not $or a warranty, I apologize
You also said you would be happy to talk to me about your inferior product you are selling, the Reem, that I purchased not to mention it's only 4yrs old,  besides the fact of the blower motor expiring , the horrible noise when it shuts off, when I was in there the screws barely hold into the sheet metal, very cheap made, just telling you its not going to last very longNot like the one it was replaced with from it died in the year of when I had "THE CHEAP REEM INSTALLED"
You also had the nerve to write on here to call you, so I did and of course you are on Vacation, I guess with my and other peoples service agreement MONEY, since we get nothing for itless than perfect experience you say, that's a good oneStatus quo for Alaskan  Less than perfect

The technician, Patrick H***, was first of all very friendly and had a excellent sense of humor
He was knowledgeable, interesting to watch and to listen to
This gentleman is customer-, as well as company-oriented, which is a commendable combination
Very helpful and very keen to answer all questions to the customer's absolute satisfaction

Purchased a maintenance program under AlaskanHave had a lot of work by themFirst problem is we replaced the hot water heater on June 12, They never put a drip pan under itLater on when we asked about it they said it wasn't code yet but if we wanted one it would cost $Next problem was we were told it looked like mold in our heat exchanger and it would cost over $to be cleanedWe had a 2nd opinion and it was only dustThird problem was they recommended a hard start for the ACThis burned up the wires in our unitI called Alaskan and told them what happenedThis part is under warranty and they could replace it but with a service chargeI said I just wanted the part and I would have someone else replace it because I don't want there service people coming here anymoreDenise told me they wouldn't do that and she would send a refund check for the remaining maintenance program since I was cancelling itThis was weeks ago and she told me week for the refundI

On 1/17/I purchased a brand new A/C unit for my commercial building for $6,349, which included yr parts and yr labor warranties, from Alaskan Home Services in ***, AZI started having problems with the unit this summerI first called Alaskan out for a repair on 6/7/After the A/C tech checked the unit to find the issue he mentioned that "whoever installed this unit did a crappy job wiring it." When I informed him that his company had installed it, he immediately backtracked and said that the wiring in my building was shottyI found out later the unit had been installed with the wrong type of conduit! Alaskan had used flexible conduit on the unit instead of rigid conduitThat means that the initial installation of my unit did not meet code! As a person that works in the inspection industry and works with various codes, I find this incredibly disturbing! During this service call on 6/7, I was told that while the parts were still under warranty, the labor was notI

The story began on March 8, when Alaskan Home Services came to my house for a $tusold by *** *** who convinced me I needed a tuwhen all I wanted was an air filterThe employee who sold me the tutold me I wouldn't pay *** ***, I would pay Alaskan, which I later find out is a sfor more chargesWhen the Alaskan technician came by the $turned into a $Platinum Services that took about an hour to complete with no pre-service contract nor invoice providedThis $bill also included a $replacement warranty which the technician also encouraged me to buyAfter I read the fine print under the replacement warranty (I did this after I signed it)The warranty states Alaskan will take the cost of the warranty ($494) out of the cost of a new unit if you buy the unit from Alaskan Home Services
Before the service, the technician told he I had to pay himI told the technician that I didn't have $In fact, I didn't even have $Bu

I contracted w/ this business's Tucson entity for a year, twice annual, service on my home air cond and heatingThe company sent a completely incompetent 'repair' person to service my air conditioningHe took days, in the middle of the summer, to fail to determine the problem of a leak in the water condensing location in my homeI called another company the following day and their person diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than an hour
I have emailed Alaskan Home Svcs about this problem and followed up; they have not responded to my emailsThe emails detail the problemThey apparently are not interested in resolving this problem between me and the company so I have contacted you

On 2/16/I received a phone offer for an AC tufrom Alaskan Home Services for $ I accepted the offer and secured an appointment for 2/20/ The service was rendered as detailed, except the technician was late regarding the appointment window Overall, I had no issue with the service Then days later on 2/22/I received another phone call from Alaskan Home Services "reaching out to past service plan members" offering a system tune up for $ I certainly appears as though Alaskan Home Services charges different prices with no rhyme or reason, depending on who they call and when the call is made This dovetails with other reviews relating to pricing of their products and services
And, they obviously do not know what they are doing in that they call offering identical service to that performed only days previously I question their integrity and ethics as a company "Buyer beware!"

Unfortunately my AC went out; and because it was so hot -it was very uncomfortable in my homeI called Alaskan and they responded immediatelyThey took the time to listen to my concerns, and sent out a technician the very next dayThe Technician *** arrived at the time promised; and was very professional! He fixed my problem, and let me know if the company could ever be of assistance to, to be sure to let them knowI would recommend your company to anyone who needs AC repair, and will be sure to use their services againJob well done.***

I was told I needed replace a hard start devise and it was $(that included a 20% discount)I questioned the amount saying the last one I bought was around $as I remembered it and I had bought over the last years from different companies and they were all about the same priceHe assured me that the price had probably gone up like everything else and the price was fairI told him I was definitely not happyAs it happened I was at my daughters house yesterday when Chas Roberts Heating/Cooling came to do a month checkupI asked their rep what a hard start unit cost and he said $My daughter had bought one in April and looked up the bill and it was $then tooI feel I was taken advantage ofI called Alaskan to question the price and was told every company sets their own pricesI asked how there could be such a differenceI asked to speak to a manager and was told he would call me in to daysIt doesn't take that long to answer a complaint unless your ducking the issueI won't hold my breathI can't see any justification for a part to have that much difference in priceI feel I was totally shafted by AlaskanI would not recommend them for any work on heating, cooling or especially service workThere are much better choices out there that are fair in their dealings

Alaskan did a wonderful job! The a/c unit outside started making a really loud grinding noise out of nowhereAlaskan was able to come out quickly to look at itAs soon as the technician arrived he immediately got to work to find the issueOnce he found the issue he brought me outside and explain what was happening and what caused itI couldn’t have asked for a more professional serviceThank you
