Dear Revdex.com:On Aug 26, I received a call from a representative of Albertsons.She told me that there is a federal regulation which makes itillegal for Albertsons to give a gift card to anyone who iseligible to receive a benefit from any branch of government.I doubt that such a regulation existsWould it be possible forAlbertsons to send me a copy of this regulation? I would feelbetter about this situation if I could read this regulationfor myself.Yours truly,

How many other people were overcharged over the weekend the "special" was going on? Are they ALL being refunded? I would like to see a week long, full page ad in the paper stating, "We at Albertsons tried to screw over our customers and were caught red handedFor this we give everyone who purchased the on special pork products a $gift card to use at any store of their choosing."That would about take care of it, since there is no way to determine how many people they ripped off by charging and giving free when it was a buy get free special

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have forwarded this response to a *** *** at Albertsons that I spoke to a week ago regarding this complaint. Our number provided in the complaint is a Business Line that receives several calls a day and takes messages, and the email is the same. At no time did we receive any message or email from Albertsons regarding this matter. We purchased from the store on *** ***, this is the reason I stopped doing business with your stores. Does this response seem ethical to you?

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response
because:
Proper procedures were not followed Their lack of hygiene and improper handling of food caused us to have severe food poisoning When I notified Albertsons Customer Service Department, they flat-out refused to forward our comments to the store manager They said they would DO NOTHING unless we went to the store in person and met with the manager I explained again that we were violently ill and unable to visit the store They never investigated, never took any samples and had them tested, and never asked for the health department to conduct an inspection Proper procedures were NOT followed

Upon receipt of this case, we referred Ms*** concerns to the District ManagerHe made several attempts to reach her and once he did, she was not able to talkThey agreed to get together on Thursday, 03/to attempt to resolve the matterThe District Manager was waiting for Ms*** to
let him know the best time that she would be available

Yes I contacted the store and no they didnot offer to refund

Upon receipt of this complaint from *** *** we referred to the Store Manager where the customer attempted to redeem the rain checkThe Store Manager telephoned the customer and offered a $gift cardThe customer was invited to come into the store at their earliest convenience to pick up the
gift card, which the customer accepted

Upon receipt of this case regarding concerns relayed by Mr***, we forwarded to District Manager, *** ***Mr*** contacted Mr*** and discussed the concerns that he had with his local Albertsons storeMr*** let Mr*** know that he would have audits and checks done to
address the problems with pricing that has occurredMr*** also let Mr***s know that he would follwith him, in approximately days, to see how the store is doingMr*** was satisfied with the steps that will be taken to address this complaint

inconvenience. This was resolved directly by the store with Mr***

Upon receipt of this concern, we forwarded to the Store Director for further reviewThe Store Director had her General Manager contact Ms*** regarding her concernThe General Manager spoke with the customer and let her know that she had nothing to be alarmed or concerned about. The
Store Director and the Customer service Supervisor were doing a Wednesday ad check and observing our associates to see if they were engaging and greeting customers. Once that was explained the customer was okay and said she would return to the store in the future
