I purchased the Retractable Awning size 13’x 10’ from Aleko located in Washington State, On May 7, 2019.
When it arrived, there were no instructions in the box. I called the company during business hours and was put on hold for one hour. After the hour passed, they said they were busy and would call back – but they never called back.
I decided to open the package/box completely and set it up by myself. The measurement on the internet said install 9’ at the highest point on the house and when the awning is extended it will allow a person to walk underneath the other front end with no issues. I am 5’6” tall and I cannot walk under the lowest part of the awning. This is when I realized the arm to the awning was broken. I believe because the arm is broken it is not allowing the awning working properly.
I have been trying to contact support for the last two weeks by phone and have been putting me on hold as before. I finally was able to get Intouch with a person in customer service and they became Rude because I wanted to return it for a full credit.
I was finally able to get an RMA but they want me to pay for the shipping back to them. I made contact with them within 30 days of purchase and I want them to refund my money for the awning and provide me with FREE return.

Awful experience. They sent the wrong parts twice and then try to charge us for shipping the third time. Took about four months back to get back to us. They did finally refund our money though

I bought two exterior window shades and within a month they had faded from a deep green to a dirty looking faded green/gray look. I contacted the company Aleko numerous times via their forms and via email as well as telephone. The first few emails were apparently over the skill level of the Customer Service reps who tried to deal with it. Many promises and nothing. I sent photos of the defective products and they agreed that they were substandard and would send replacements right away . . nothing whatsoever from then until now. I want my money refunded as was one of their options to me, which I see I should have chosen, but instead I just wanted the right quality product sent to me.

We "Ace Hardware #420" purchased a 20 x 30' outdoor canopy tent for $610.00 from Aleko on 04/12/2019. After receiving the order that came in one big box, we delivered the unopened box to a local Federal Prison where they discovered that the order was missing all nine of its metal tubular support fittings that are needed to put the canopy up! We made a phone call to Aleko to notify them of the incomplete order and we ended up with no results or a call back from management! So we sent an email on 04/30/2019 to let them know that we did not receive all the parts in the box for the canopy and it is useless without them! Aleko has not responded in anyway to handle this issue! In the meantime, we are stuck with a $610.00 useless canopy that our customer can not use.

I ordered gates online on their website, and product was delivered at my home property and a missing item on the order delivered.
Gate Opener AC1500 was not delivered and not on the packing lists that was delivered. I email and call the company, and pass from one person to another, and pass to their shipper SAIA to confirm where is the missing item. They cannot find the missing item and they email me back that they will not replace and will not refund the missing item that was not deliver.

On 2-26-19 I ordered one Oval Hot Tub from seller. They shipped it to me via Fed Ex which I received on 3-4-19. I became ill and was unable to use the hot tub and returned to seller via their return authorization number #***. I returned the hot tub on 3-21-19 to seller via UPS Tracking Number (which I cannot enter) which they received on 3-28-19 at 9:49 AM by their employee. The hot tub was never unpacked and never used and was returned in seller's box. See photos attached. Today is 4-4-19 and as of today, 7 days or a full week after return, I still have not received refund.

I ordered a sunshade awning, received part of my order. The motor that was ordered never arrived. Aleko knows that the motor was damaged in shipping and that I never received it. I had to get PayPal involved to protect my purchase amount. I requested Aleko to send the motor that I paid for but they refuse to unless I close the case through PayPal that protects my purchase amount. PayPal highly recommended me to not close the case.
This company has had me jumping through hoops, emailing pictures of the awning etc. I have done everything they asked me to do. They traced the tracking and learned about the damaged motor. I can’t install this awning at my mother-in-laws home until we get the motor, she’s 82 years old and can’t crack this awning open. I have paid $389.00 for an item that is unless to her without the motor.
I have read numerous complaints on their reviews today, a lot of “Not getting all of their order complaints, missing parts, etc.”
I can’t close the PayPal case, I could lose my chance of getting my money back if Aleko continues to hold the motor and not mail it to me. I have several emails back and forth saved in the event they are needed.
No company should be allowed to do this to a customer who is out nearly $400.00.

If you want to throw your money away and get treated poorly, then buy from Aleko Products. I would never recommend this company.
I ordered a very expensive chicken coop, which arrived 2 weeks after it was supposed to arrive, and was damaged. The roofing was moldy, and the wood was dented and damaged from shipping.
This product is supposed to be outside yet was showing water damage. This is a major quality issue.
When I contacted Aleko about resolving the issue, over two weeks ago, I did not receive a response until I followed up multiple times. And I have yet receive a resolution!
I would never purchase anything from this company again. Lack of response, damaged products and poor product quality resulted in my having a $350 paperwieght if a chicken coop.

My experience with trying to purchase an awning has been terrible. Purchased in good faith directly from Aleko's website, did not receive many of the required parts or even the booklet/install guide. Have been going back and forth with them for over 4 months now, they expect me to pay to ship back the incomplete parts/pieces of this product they sent me. Very disappointing client service.

I have waited for 3 deliveriies 4 hours each time.The span of 2 weeks has occurred from each of these failed deliverys.I have left the state of *** and will not be able to accept delivery and do not wish to deal woth anyone from their selected delivery company.Estes trucking delivered the gate to *** on September 13th and make me wait a entire week before they will reschedule a delivery.Garage department was the dealer but they keep saying Aleko must refund my money.Please help me get my refund

Based on the freight company that this shipment was shipped with (Estes) the item was scheduled to be delivered multiple times by the freight company which we have attached the proof of without success as customer was not available.

Due to the fact that customer was not available to receive the shipment, the item was returned back to shipped to avoid any storage fees. Aleko has paid for all of the re deliveries that has happened therefore since customer was not available to receive the shipment , the item was returned for refund

Item was refunded minus the shipping cost per the policy of the company. The funds were issues to the buyer of this product which is Garagedepartment.com.

I returned a product to them and one of the boxes was damaged when I received it, I told *** this when it was delivered, even *** commented that it might not hold together long enough to unload. After I looked at the product I decided it was not of a quality that I could use and I called and asked if I could return it. I told the woman that one of the boxes was damaged but I would tape it. I received a RO# when I went to ship the boxes back I found out that the shipper had lied about the weight of the boxes. They had only paid for 1/2 the weight when they sent them to me and when I sent them back it cost me double the amount of money. It would have been cheaper to have keep the product. Is cost me $350 to send them back and I only paid $456.45
Now Aleko Products does not want to refund all my money because the boxes are damaged and they want to charge me shipping fees.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience that customer has experienced with their recent transaction.

Upon placing order, customer agrees to terms and conditions of the company along with all of the policy that company has.

Once the order is delivered, customer needs to inspect the package. Per Aleko's policy,customer is responsible for return shipping cost unless any damage or defect on the product in which case customer would provide the company with pictures and if case is approved, return label would be issued. If there are any damaged during transit(which we are shipper cannot control) customer must contact us providing pictures of the damage in order for the case to be opened. If customer did not provide with any pictures as a proof of damage, the case will be denied.

Since customer has paid the shipping cost to the carrier, we are unable to refund the amount that was never received from the customer ( it was issued to the shipping carrier )

Also, the shipping cost is based on the weight and length of the package. Previous cost of the shipment will not reflect on the return shipping cost by any means.

At this point , since customer did not provide the company with any proof or confirmation of the damage, the return label was not issued and once the product was delivered, refund was issued.

I am rejecting this response because: I did let the shipping company know that the package was damaged upon delivery. The company says they were not notified because they didn’t want to be responsible for my return charges also they charged me for damages to the same boxes I believe they conduct their business this way so they can cheat people out of their money. This whole thing ended up costing me more money than I paid for the product to being with. I think they are running a scam.

I purchased a replacement part for my previously purchased sander from this same location. The part came in within three days, however it was the wrong part they sent. I was told to send in a picture of what was received. I did this. That was in February. I have sent 22 emails, I have spoken with their office numerous times as well as refused the access to a manager, and I attempted to call today for a refund and was hung up on three times. I was unable to speak with any one at all. I attempted to send a message on different outlets and no response. I just want a refund now.

Slow. To send out order,,I ordered online,,they sent me a email back,,and was nice,,but 7 days after I ordered, it still had not been shipped. My grand children arrived and has gone,,,the day after they left, the cots arrived. I purchased 4 gate opener systems from this company. 2 of the systems are faulty and need to be replaced. Both systems are only 5 and 4 months old and fall under warranty. I have contacted them by email and phone and been on hold for an hour and a half. They tell me before it can be replaced I have to talk with the technical help department. When you call, you immediately go to hold. Through email they tell me the tech department will call me. I received a call the following day at exactly 5:00 PM and when I answered no one was on the phone. I Emailed them again but 2 days went by with no phone call. The did call me finally on 8/12, But I missed the call. I called back, but went strait to hold for another 20 min.

I purchased an Aleko 1500 gate opener on 11/25/2017, but after 7 months of usage it stopped working on 7/14/2018. My order number is ***.
Today --I spoke with Aleko and they determined that it is a broken motherboard-- they promised to send a new one. During our conversation, the technician--admitted that the motherboard has a limited number of openings and closures---data which was not disclosed at the time of purchase. I cannot afford to maintain this gate opener's motherboard at a replacement cost of $89 and so am requesting a full refund. What about other possible defective parts, such as, the motor and condenser?

It is apparent to me that something is amiss with the Aleko gate opener as the company reduced its warranty-period from 2 years--to just 1 year

This route is being taken after exhausting my appeals to the Aleko customer line and them: a) refusing to transfer my call to an Aleko administrator, or owner; and b) refusing to provide the owner and managers' names and contact data

Customer has 30 days form the day of purchase to return the product for full refund.After 30 days goes by, customer is offered 1 year warranty on the product. During that one year, customer is able to receive ant replacements needed to make sure the product is in working condition.(warranty does not cover physical damage) .

Due to the nature of the product customer purchase,gate opener, it is natural for the product to wear out and replacements may be required over period of time.Similar idea with car tires that will need to be replaced over period of time due to its nature to wear out not necessary due to defect of the product.

There is no limit of how long it will last as it will definitely depend on the usage and weight of the gate.

Within the 1 year period from the day purchase, we are happy to supply the needed parts,after year, customer is welcome to purchase it on the website with affordable prices.

I am rejecting this response because:

1. I was not made aware of the information that the Aleko technician divulged--the circuit board has a limited number of cycles. From my current experience, I can say that the Aleko 1500 circuit board lasts for only 7 months.

2. I did not purchase a car tire--and if I had, then the manufacturer would have clearly stated the mileage/durability of the purchased tire.

In the case of the gate opener--at the time of purchase, you did not state the extremely limited durability of the product. I would Not knowingly purchase a gate opener with parts which last for only 7 months, and which in the case of the circuit board, cost $89. My gate weights 145 lbs

The product was sold with one year warranty.

Customer agreed on terms and conditions of the product that stated that if product does not meet the criteria of the customer, they have 30 days to return the product. Now it has been over 30 days therefore we are unable to violate the policy that customer agreed on once placing the order

Aleko Products demands I do complete inspection for damage to package contents where upon they may send individual replacement parts.

I am not qualified for such work and cost for installer to inspect exceeds value of content.

Please note that damaged package does not mean that the product itself is damaged as well or any parts are missing.

According to the pictures provided , product does not look damaged.

Customer was provided with pick up for the heavy product ( frame ) by UPSThe frame must be shipped out using the prepaid label the customer was provided with already

Customer has purchased extra support poles that are not part of the awning therefore customer would have to ship that part back on their own expenses as it was not damaged nor defective

Since we do value our customers we did provide the prepaid label for both packages that customer needs to tape up and ship back for refund

Once the product is in transit or delivered, refund will be credited as we have stated in the original email while ago that customer never replied to with confirmation

I am rejecting this response because: I finally received what may prove to be a return tag for FedEx, I'll attempt to return today at my expense of time and travel. This additional return tag was not provided until Tuesday the 24th, three weeks after I notified them of damaged package. Fairly rich of them to say 2 packages don't relate to damaged package. They still haven't answered why I was sent a damaged package from Amazon. Stay tuned.

I placed an order on Tuesday, June 26'; I paid $33 extra for FedEx Delivery which shouldn't be more than a two-day delivery. My tracking delivery date is Thursday July 5.
Sounds like the company is running a shipping scam. FedEx deliveries do not take 9 days.
I could have opted for standard delivery which is 3-5 according to their website.
It is implied that the FedEx delivery option, which costs a considerable amount more than standard shipping (3-5 days), will be expedited and have a shorter delivery time.

On 6/26 customer has purchased Aleko Gate Opener with paid shipping cost of $33.88 for guaranteed FedEx carrier used to deliver the product. Since Aleko provides free shipping, seller chooses the carrier they would like to use to deliver the products to the customers (examples:FedEx , UPS,USPS etc). If customer has preferred method of shipping the product specifically with FedEx, the fee of that choice is applied to the customer total.

In this case, customer *** has chose the option to deliver the product with FedEx only at the checkout page.Please note FedEx option chosen was not expedited.

On June 27th customer has email regarding the issue they are experiencing with this shipping rate and we have offered to cancel the shipping rate chosen and refund the customer,after which the order would be shipped out free of charge with seller's preferred method of shipping it. There was no reply on that email due to why the order was shipped out with no changes.

At this point the product is in transit,here is where customer can track the ***

The shipping rate is 3-5 business days

Order placed on 26th, shipped out on 27th and will be delivered on 7/3 which is 5 business days as advertised.

The Company's website did not indicate that by selecting "FedEx" that it meant ONLY choosing the carrier.

I assumed that FedEx means expedited shipping. The site is misleading. There is no notification that by choosing FedEX I would only be selecting the carrier and not an Expedited Shipping Delivery.

Why would I pay $33 for a 3-5 day delivery that was listed as free? Had I known that the FedEx Delivery was 3-5 days I would have opted for the free shipping.

Listing FedEx as a shipping option without explaining that Delivery is not faster or expedited is deceiving.

Also, by the time I received the email, the packaged had already shipped, so I couldn't cancel it.

FedEx home Delivery is delivery rate of 3-5 business days. This informant is available on our website as well as on FedEx's website.

Customer was given option of FedEx Home Delivery and Free Shipping.Customer has chosen FedEx Home Delivery for extra charge to ensure the package will be delivered specifically with FedEx Home Delivery.

Website has listed other expedited shipping rates as well with description of what type of expedited rate ( f.e.:Standard Overnight, priority overnight, express ,2 day delivery etc)

Since we do value our customers and want to make sure they have positive experience, we will authorize the refund of $33.88

We ordered a 25' electric gate from this company. The packaging was atrocious. When the gate finally arrived it was missing multiple parts. We contacted the company only to be told that they knowingly sent it out without all of the parts because they (the parts) were on back order. We were then told that they weren't responsible for missing parts. Our contractor charged us for his wasted time of trying to put this partial gate together. We then had to order the missing parts from *** (costing us even more money).
