Maybe they should be called All Easy Solar. No problems. I am happy.

Do not trust any thing this company promises. For one they are only in St. Paul, there are no local installers in Iowa as web site states. Second at the time of installation we knew are roof would need to be replaced in 4-5 years, first question asked was what was the cost to remove and reinstall panels for the roof replacement. We were told by the salesman and also the installers it would be around 1,000 dollars. Time came to replace roof contact All Energy Solar and they are saying now 10,000 dollars. The whole system install was 16,500 dollars, they state that they need a crew of 6 guys and a master electrician for a week. We had 2 guys install the entire systems in 2.5 days and the master electrician was there for 2.5 hours to check wiring that was ran by installers and made final connection to the breaker panel. They are not interested in servicing there products. Would like to attach the emails from the service manager but not sure how I can do that.

At the very beginning of my conversations with All Energy, I asked if they could give me a quote on how many solar panels it would take to bring my energy bill down to $0. I told them that if it could not be brought down to zero, that I wasn't interested. They said that they could. They told me to send them the past two years' worth of energy bills so they could see what my highest bill was, then based on that they would determine how many panels I would need to bring my bill to $0. They told me I needed 21 in order to do this, so that is how many I bought. The panel system does not perform near the amount that was expected. They did not tell me that the seasons would be a factor in production, they told me that the solar panels would even produce when it was cloudy. Not until the closeout meeting did I hear one doubt that they would not produce exactly what I was wanting. The closeout salesman said that solar panels will never take care of 100% of the cost of my bill. When they had the solar panels all set up, then they told me that. I called to complain to the people I had previously dealt with, and even the CEO, and he took the side of the woman I had first talked to. I believe they, intentionally or not, told me things that were not true to convince me to buy the system from them, and failed to give me an accuracy of what the system would actually do.

All Energy Solar Response • Feb 12, 2018

All Energy Solar does it's best to be transparent with all customers with how Solar Works and how it can affect your own business or homes energy consumption and or usage. On 2/24/17 this client responded to a request for more information about solar from us. Following that initial request, AES communicated with numerous times via email and phone discussing the right time to meet with our solar consultant as well as gathering the 12 month history of the homes energy consumption. This is a required process in order for our appointment setters to have someone provide a proposal. On 2/28/17 the client sent us their electrical consumption data (kWh's), and we scheduled his online appointment for 3/13/17 at 11am. During that meeting the solar consultant provided the customer with the attached proposal which shows that the solar system will produce approximately 87% of the home owners previous energy usage. On page 3 of the proposal, there are 2 graphs that show how the solar system will perform against your energy usage and how much of a percent your solar system will produce in comparison to your electric bill (this is where it shows 87%). The customer mentions that he was sold 21 panels, when in reality he has 20 panels installed and both the proposal and the contract state 20 panels. We are not sure where this number of 21 panels is coming from.

With regards to solar covering 100% of the customers bill. Solar systems can cover 100% of your electrical consumption but that all depends on weather and external shading coming from trees or obstructions, as well as if your energy consumption is similar to what numbers were provided during the proposal period. All Energy Solar specifically told the client to remove trees that would potentially shade the solar system. Listed on the proposal we state that tree removal was required and it does look like the customer has removed 1 of the 2 trees that are directly south of the solar array but not both. Any shading on the solar panels can greatly affect the solar systems energy production. Another factor with energy production from solar panels is snow on the panels and the changing amount of sunlight we have as we come into the winter season. Our energy production graph clearly shows that in the winter months the clients solar system will not be producing 100% of the usage, rather approximately half.

Upon All Energy Solar hearing about our customers frustration and or lack of understanding with how the solar system works, we called and walked the customer through all of these points listed above. Additionally, we told the client that we were sorry for the misunderstanding and went over the proposal again to help understand how solar works. All Energy Solar also sent the client 2 large boxes of LED lights to help reduce their overall consumption, the response we received back was that they took them out because they were too bright. All Energy Solar also suggested to remeasure energy production in summer months so that we can show that the system is producing as expected and gives a better annual production. Our point here is to show that the system is producing as expected and that there is just a misunderstanding of how solar differs from summer to winter months.

As a good faith effort/gesture, All Energy Solar personally loaned this client money to help pay for part of the system. The suggested or desired settlement of removing the solar array or paying for half of the system are not reasonable solutions. During numerous conversations this was not suggested, rather this is the first time that this was offered as a solution. All Energy Solar is willing to continue to work with the client to find a reasonable solution and make this client happy, but can not remove of cut the bill in half. Our suggestion is to allow the solar system to produce as proposed for a year and then check production.

Customer Response • Feb 13, 2018

AES has never even admitted until now that they had me send them my kWh usage in order to figure out how many panels I need to cover 100% of usage. The CEO told me that this is not a common method they use. I repeatedly told them that if the panels would not cover 100% of my usage I was not interested. I would even be fine with it covering only 87% of my usage if it did but it doesn't even cover half. My average energy consumption has always been about the same. They told me that if I got 20 panels that it would cover my highest electrical usage EVERY MONTH. I was told by the salesman there that the solar panels would work whether it was cloudy or not. Snow is understandable. AES told me that I needed to get rid of two trees and I got rid of both, not just one. No matter what the weather does or the technical know-how they have of the seasons more than me they told me the panels would produce a certain amount EVERY MONTH. AES accuses me of having a lack of understanding of how the panels work so out of the goodness of their heart they send me LED light bulbs to help me cut down on my energy consumption as if even though I made the mistake they were still going to help me out of the mess I got into. The light bulbs they sent were so bright they hurt my childrens' eyes and I threw them out. When I called the CEO and told them which process they used to figure how many panels I would need, he said that no one there uses that method, which is not true. When they say they helped to pay for part of the system they are not talking about the panels themselves or the system, they are talking about the fact that they paid fees to our electrical company to have a part moved because it was required by the electrical companys rules. This was supposed to be part of the actual loan but someone in the office closed the loan document process and sent it off to the loan company before the job was actually done. This was not a good faith loan- there was no other way for them to add it to the loan so the salesman asked the CEO what could be done because that had to be paid for up front. The CEO decidedto pay it. This is them covering up for sending the loan papers off too early, not to be a good Samaritan. An addendum- They told me that I had two loans to pay off one was a short term loan that had to be paid off in 18 months and one was a long term loan. I was told repeatedly that when I got the credits on my taxes that it would pay for the short term loan. What is happening is the government doesnt give you the credits all up front they pay them over time at each tax season and whatever amount you don't get back is added onto the next year as a carryforward every year until the money is used up. This means that I have a short term loan due next year and I would be majorly short of paying it. I have to save this whole year in order to pay that loan off out of pocket. No one told me this. I think it's completely reasonable, since they lied every step of the way, that I should get back the percentage that the solar panels do not produce. The Revdex.com asked what I think it would take to resolve the situation and that is what I think. I didn't mention it because I wasn't asked by AES, I was asked by the Revdex.com so I answered the question.

All Energy Solar Response • Feb 22, 2018

I spoke with John *** today. We are trying to work through this issue together. Hopefully we can find an amicable resolution without going through the Revdex.com.

All Energy Solar has been a pleasure to work with. They handle all aspects of the design, installation, permits, and inspection of the solar panels. They coordinate everything, so that I didn't have to reach out to the inspectors or electric company. They even worked with my Residential Housing Association, who at first was reluctant to allow solar panels to be installed on a home; All Energy Solar came up with a revised design and really pushed the HOA to approve my solar panel request. I would definitely recommend them.

Good people, I didn't end up being able to do the program at this time but they seemed reliable and walked me through the process reliably so I could make an intelligent decision as to whether or not to proceed. Will go with them in the future if my situation changes.

Maria, Brian and Nick walked us through the process from start to finish. They cheerfully re-explained anything we misunderstood and responded quickly to emails. We hadn’t done too much of our own research prior to meeting with them and they gave us a great introduction to the process then gave us time to do our own research. They gave us realistic expectations and tailored our system to our needs. They even accommodated a last-minute request for an EV charger for my electric car! Their installation crew was courteous and efficient. They left the job site neat at the end of each day. We are very pleased with the whole All Energy Solar experience! We highly recommend them to anyone exploring renewable energy! Sincerely, Jenn & Tim *** in St. Paul MN

All Energy Solar is great to work with! I had no idea about Solar until calling them. They are able to help navigate all of my questions. Don't trust your solar projects to anyone else but them. They will get the job done right the first time!

All Energy Solar did a fantastic job on my home solar system. From the sales rep Reid to Cindy in office and the hard working installers and electricians they were professional and easy going from day one. Cindy kept me informed each step of the way and everyone was very patient answering my questions. I mentioned to one of the workers- Austin that it sure seemed like people really enjoy their jobs unlike you see at most places. Austin mentioned that they are treated well and the owners really 'get them'. Outstanding company!

All Energy Solar just finished installing a complicated, powerful system involving solar panels on my garage and my house. They were a very deliberative, careful team from start to finish, and they walked us through the process quite well. I am a very involved homeowner (read: probably quite annoying and micromanaging to every contractor I have ever had to work with) and was very particular in how I wanted conduit run, where I wanted the meters and the disconnects, and where the monitoring system and the investors should be to help maximize the available space in my old and small minneapolis home. The planners and the electricians where remarkably patient with me, and accommodated me at every turn, except when the code would not safely allow. They demonstrated knowledge, professionalism, courtesy, and timeliness, although it is apparent that their work load has increased a lot as of late--likely a testament to their quality work. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend or family, and indeed I have already posted their work on my neighborhood Facebook group--of course with the hope of taking advantage of their referral bonus program. Thanks, All Energy, for helping me feel empowered to make a difference in my carbon footprint. Great job all around!

I was very happy with the professional services of all the people I worked with at
All Energy Solar. Our system is working great.

I worked with All Energy on my solar project. They were very professional from the planning stages through the connection phase. The construction crews were also great to work with, they took special care in making sure the aesthetics of the install was perfect, even when I thought it was good they returned and organized all the wiring on the pergola to make it look just right. My system was put into service on 2-1-17 and has exceeded my expectations on performance. All Energy will assist you from start to finish. If you are thinking of going solar go with All Energy "Thou Shalt Go Solar" The Sun Catcher.........

We have had a solar electric system on our house since 2004. We decided to add some more, and chose All Energy Solar as the contractor based on the experience of two of our neighbors. Their installation process was extremely smooth and trouble-free, despite the fact that it was different from their normal installation because it involved adding a new system to an existing one. Their staff members were courteous, highly professional, and did the work very carefully and in a timely manner. They answered every question along the way, and finished the process with a close-out meeting to review the operation of the solar electric system and the monitoring systems with us. All told, we are extremely satisfied with their service.

All Energy Solar was professional and friendly with their communication and installation. From working with Sarah to make a plan for our solar all the way to the installation and final inspections, our experience with All Energy Solar was awesome. The crew answered all our questions and made sure that we had all the information we needed. We are so happy with our new solar!

The team that installed my solar project was Great! They left the job site looking better than when they came, the install team also took the time to visit with my 9 year old son and allowed him to show them around our farm showing them our animals and his favorite chickens. My sons job on the farm is to pick the eggs and wash them and when he does that he can sell the eggs and keep the money. He told they guys that and they offered to buy some eggs from him. They said they didn’t have cash that day but would bring some when they came back on Monday to finish up the job and he should leave some eggs out for them if he wasn’t home. So Monday he left 5 dozen eggs in the shed not knowing how many they wanted. Later that day when my son came home and went out to the shed he found all 5 dozen eggs gone and way more money left than he told them he charges for the eggs. We still can’t get the smile off his face and he tells everyone about the nice & generous “Solar guys”! Highly recommend All Energy Solar!

we and I had a very positive experience with All Energy Solar. From start to finish they are very professional, knowledgeable, and always in want of sharing their information to increase customer knowledge and comfort with their product. We would recommend and are recommending them to our friends, relatives, and associates. Keep up the great work.
