I am rejecting this response because: First he didn't tell us that the car  and title is from Nevada I just found out when I went to DMV to transfer on my name and DMV didn't honor the smog certificate because it was expired and I told DMV about the smog, they said 90 days even a car dealer not a year. When I called him he told me that he will call  when to bring sometime next week but he didn't call back, I texted him and he didn't answer  my text, I had a missed call today 11/20/15 and on my lunch break I called but my call rejected. The odometer is broke so its not really 211,000 miles, DMV almost refuse to register because the odometer is not working, DMV can't read the numbers

Business states that consumer received title the day the complaint was filed.

first I would like to state that when you buy a $1,500 car which was the cheapest car on my lot you cannot expect it to be an AMG [redacted] fresh off the lot. the AC...

did work when I gave him the car he called me and asked me about the AC I told him to reconnect the wires on the blower if it was not blowing properly he did and it fixed the problem a week later he calls me to tell me that the AC is blowing warm air I told him bring the vehicle in and I will check the AC and fix it for him.as far as the title not getting to him for a week I told him I would put the title express mail to his house he told me not to do it and then he would come in and pick it up he did not show up until the next day at 7:30 at night we close at 7 luckily I was still here helping another customer. I never told the customer to go to DMV multiple times I told the customer wait until you have the title in hand until you go to DMV or it will be a waste of your time he chose to go to DMV on his own without the title thinking that he would be able to do the transfer even after I told him he could not until he had title in hand so that has nothing to do with us.at this time I still told him to bring the car in so I can fix his AC he did not. the car ran and drove perfectly fine when I gave him the car I had just smogged it two days before he bought the car.the point of this response is to let people know that when you buy a $1,500 car the cheapest car on the lot you cannot expect it to be absolutely perfect even then I try to help by offering to fix the AC for him. I believe that some people should not be allowed the right to make complaints about businesses some people you can give Them the car for free and two days later they will call you to tell you that they need an oil change.

We bought the vehicle from the auction, and didn't know that it needed repo paperwork. We are having the repo certificate made, and are waiting to receive a call that it is ready, which we will then let the consumer know.

First I would like to respond to this complaint by saying the person that bought this car did not know how to drive a stick shift at all that's why our salesman drove the car for him more than likely he overheated the vehicle not knowing how to drive it and blew the head gasket. I did speak to the...

customer regarding the situation he said he had already fixed it and that it wasn't a problem he did not ask for anything from All Star Auto whatsoever to help him in the repair as far as the registration for a 1990 there had to be a mix-up in DMV this is the first I've heard of this the customer did not call All Star Auto to tell them that they received a 90 [redacted] title instead of their 2002 if they would have called us we would have fixed the mix-up we do not sell chopped cars we do not Chop cars here this is no need of a bit Revdex.com complaint what needed to happen was the customer to call us and inform us that there was a mix-up at DMV and we would have fixed the problem just like we are going to now we did not sell him a faulty car the car we sold him was very nice and once again he did not ask for anything from us as far as repairs please tell the customer to call All Star Auto so we can get the DMV mix-up fixed like I said if we would have known about it at all we would have fixed it already we have not been contacted about this situation

We bought a vehicle for our daughter here. Mark was nice and helpful. We live in Nevada, so I went to license it and there was a paper missing. I cannot get it registered. I have contacted Mark 6 times in the last 3 weeks, with the last 2 calls going to voicemail. It was always in the mail. Well it is not in the mail! I have contacted an attorney. I would not do any business with them again.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer...

I reviewed appear below.Upon purchasing this vehicle, Bob stated that he would make necessary repairs to the vehicle.  This matter was NOT done. The heat and catalytic converter have still gone without repair.  His business is in New York which means that the vehicles he sells need to pass an admissions test...this vehicle does not.  The catalytic converter code will not pass the admissions test. The repairs need to be made as he promised upon me signing papers for purchase.  I notified him the day after I drove the vehicle off the lot of these needed repairs and he has continually put it off.  As stated he needs to make repairs to the vehicle that he sold.Regards,
[redacted]

This customer received there title the day they sent this complaint. Some people have no patience. Theres no way I could have made his mail man drop it off any sooner

Mostly not true. Mostly lies. I covered PA inspection.I offer nothing. Bob A

Once again I am responding by telling the customer to please call All Star Auto so we can fix your problem I'm not going to continuously battle over the Revdex.com . Plain and simple DMV mixed up his title if he wants it fixed he has to call All Star Auto once again I'm not sure why he's refusing to call us. We are trying to help there is absolutely nothing we can do unless the customer calls us  he has not once called us to discuss the issue of the title that can easily be fixed from a minor mistake from DMV I'm not going to continuously respond with the same thing over and over if the customer wants it fixed call us so we can fix the problem the end

I am rejecting this response because there never was a lies made on are part the car had less then a quarter tank of gas so we needed to fuel the vehicle and the buisness agreed to the selling price of 1650 we were told the vehicle was registered and therefore with only fifty dollars left from all the money we had we could then not have to spend allot of money to make transfer only 15$ dollars  the salesman stated to register the dealer plates they put over the license plate wich uppon removing saw oct 2016 last time registereed and we went to dmv website and they told us $444.0 dollars to make current so therefore realizing we could not afford this we did post on [redacted] but we were unable to sell because issue with registration the ac they said need freeon but not so simple with a audi a4 so on way home from rosville from dealership check light came on and all coolant flowing out because heater core was leeking bad and my girlfriend helped me look at car but im purchaser they said all things were great with car it had no problems   they said previous owner had personlized plates therefore feeling like this buisness was just trying to scam us and tell us watever we wanted to hear not verry buisness like or even the comments ee found on yelp stateing they verry much lie and snakes and bad buisness

I was very pleased with my purchase from allstar auto. the staff was very friendly. my salesman [redacted] was a great help and made sure I was comfortable with the purchase. the prices were better than anyone in sacramento. I was able to get a quality vehicle for the same price that I would have put for my down payment at any other dealership. I highly recommend this place.

Review: I purchased a 2000 Chrysler Town & Country AS-IS, which I understand the conditions I bought it as. But, for the truck to start leaking oil the next day is ridiculous. I have wasted over $400 of my own to fix the truck, and now it has a transmission problem that costs nearly $1400.00. According to the owner I had 3,000 miles of warranty. He then changed it to 1,000 miles. After that he changed it to issues that were only covered for motor issues. He keeps changing the story because I strongly believe he knew the conditions the truck was in when he sold it to me.Desired Settlement: If the owner doesn't want to cover 100% of the fees, I'm willing to spit it 50/50. This seems fair, given the conditions of the car when purchased.

Response:

this is a response to a customers complaint regarding a 2000 Chrysler town and country. the first time ALLSTAR AUTO heard anything about any problems with this vehicle was almost 2 months after the sale. the customer called and said he was having transmission problems. at that time he said that the vehicle had a oil leak that he fixed a couple days after the sale. if the customer would have called and brought the oil leak to my attention when it happed I would have been happy to fix the problem for him being that it was only a couple days after the sale even if the car was sold as is. as far as the transmission having problems almost 2 months and 2 thousand miles after the sale we can not be responsible for that. the transmission was working great when we sold it to him and for two months after. there is no way for us to know what can happen to a car in the future.the fact of the matter is that every car will break down at some point in its life. there is no way for anyone to be able to predict the future. the customer stated in the first line of his complaint that he new the car was sold as is. this is probably why he didn't contact me about the oil leak which like I said we would have fixed anyways being so close to the sale. ALL STAR AUTO is not responsible for the transmission problems 2 thousand miles later

I recommend this business to everyone. I bought a car from [redacted] and it has been great for me and my family. I searched around for 2 weeks before buying my chevy. I got a way better deal here than anywhere I found. So save yourself the headache of searching and just go the All star.

Review: my son and I buy a car from this auto dealer 3 months ago, [redacted] the sales person and I believe the owner offer us to do the paper work from DMV our self or he can do it, but he charge us about 300 dls. more for the process, which I didn't mind for convenience, he provide us with a 90 day temporary identification card and said, will take about 10 to 15 days to get everything, well a month pass by and I call him because we didn't got anything and my son was about to move to another city, he said her wife was in charge of that and he will contact me a soon he get hold of her, next I have to call him again and he said DMV was probably behind but soon will get it, time pass and the next thing I know is been 90 days all ready and no plates or anything, so I call again he said the he remember a problem with my address or something, I said no nothing change and you have my number why didn't call, he said he will call me back, he didn't , so 2 days pass I call him and the phone is no longer in service or something, I don't know what else to do, I hope you can help me!Desired Settlement: I hope he can provide with the service he promise and the we pay for and get my tile and plates in order.

Response:

in reponse to this complaint id like to start with the true statements that were made and then the false statements. first id like to say that yes it did take more time than usual to get the customer there registration which rarely happens. we started the application process 10 days after the sale of the car. unfortunately there was a mix up with the title from the place we had purched the car. we had to do a application for a new title which can take up to 75 days the title has been received and since this complaint the new owner has received there new registration. we did appoligize for the inconvenience but the matter has been taken care of. now to respond to the false statements, first we do not charge an extra 300 for convienence the 300 charge was for her tax and licensing. we charged exactly what dmv charged not a penny more. we didn't even charge her a 65 dollar document processing fee which is normally always charged to the customer, nor did we charge her for her smog. second, I tell everyone it can take up to 4 weeks for dmv to get there paperwork especially after January 1st 2015 where now everyone even undocumented people are allowed to have a drivers license in this state. that is causing dmv to be backed up. third there is no way that our phone number could be disconnected. our phone number is attached to our license and CAN NOT BE DISCONNECTED. we have never changed our number since we have been in business. we are on google, yelp, yahoo, ect ect and it is very easy to find our number for anyone. once again we are very sorry for the delay that happened but the matter has been addressed and fixed. thank u

Review: On October XX XXXX I purchased an 04 Chevy Impala from Allstar Auto. The dealer told me that he would also throw in a 90 day warranty. Upon driving the car daily for the next 5 days it began to show it's ugly transmission problems. It was then one week later that I took it To AAMCO to have the transmission diagnosed and fixed because I was under the impression that I had a warranty like the dealer stated. The warranty company was contacted by AAMCO and they said no warranty existed for that car. Next I contacted the dealer and told him what was going on, he said he would get the agreement # for the warranty and get back to me. After 3 days of me calling back to him asking again for that number, he then started not to answer my calls at all. On Oct. 26, 2013 my father, son and his girlfriend drove to the dealer and again requested the agreement #. It was at that time he registered the warranty, as stated by ASC warranty co. Through Emails we asked the dealer to either take the car back or fix the repairs, he declined. In his response back he now claims that he only provided me the warranty as a good gesture for any future problems with the car after I fixed the transmission that I clearly damaged in my possession. I had only driven the car for one week. The mileage when I bought the car was 165938, it now reads 166255, clearly 317 miles could not have caused such problems. He also states he can be a buy here pay here dealer but prefers to take cash. If that's the case I should be covered under the AB1447 law. I am asking you to help me either get a full refund upon return of the vehicle or the problems repaired at the dealers expense. I feel I was a victim of auto fraud and would like future buyers to beware. Thank you for your time.

Initial Business Response

on October 15 2013 ALLSTAR AUTO sold a 2004 chevy impla to a customer. at that time that customer took the car on a very long test drive includeing in town driving and highway driving. the customer brought her son with her that claimed he was a mechanic and could diagnose any problems with the car if there was to be any. the mechanic she brought did extensive testing and driving of the car. after the test he came with the conclusion that the car was in good condition and prompted his mother to buy the car. during the buying and paperwork process I offered at a cost just like everyone else that buys a car from us a warranty through asc that would be a three month 3000 mile coverage. after speaking to the son about it they declined the offer and signed a as is no warranty form. the customer left very happy. a week later we received a call from the customer claiming she had taken the car to ammco and they said there was transmission problems. at that time he wanted to buy the asc warranty to cover the transmission repair. I informed her that because the transmission had already been diagnosed that by buying a warranty today the transmission would not be covered. the customer was very angry made ubscene gestures so I disconnected the phone call. the customer continued to call me over the next few days with more obscene gestures until I completely stopped answering the phone for her. a day or so later two men enter our dealership threatening me and stating that I should pay for the transmission. at that time instead of calling the athoritys for the threats that they were making I decided to give her a warranty, that ALLSTAR AUTO paid for, only for any future problems that may arise with the car after she paid for the new transmission. I called asc warranty at that time and told them of the situation and informed them that the customer may try to do a fraudulent claim to get her transmission covered and not to cover it. a couple days before the car was sold it was smogged and inspected by a star smog station. if there was any transmission problems at that time it would not have passed. I clearly sold the car AS IS and the customer gladly signed knowing this. the customer also declined a contract cancellation agreement and signed that contract as well. ALLSTAR AUTO never claimed toi be a buy here pay here dealer for we only do buy here pay here for maybe two percent of our sales. we sale cars for very affordable prices and sold the customer this vehicle for way under blue book value as we do all our cars. we pride ourselves on customer service and make sure that we sell our cars for much less than any other dealers because we want repeat business. the customer in this case is trying to take advantage of us and is trying to put a bad name on our business for something that she clearly did. she was givin the opportunity to PURCHASE a warranty and a contract cancellation agreement and declined and signed both. we did every step needed to sell a quality car and are being takein advantage of in this matter. even after being disrespected and physically threatened we still paid for her warranty for any future problems just to make a customer happy. please take into consideration that all businesses especially used car dealerships are taken advantage of every day. it is very unfortunate that there are people in this world that take advantage of good businesses to cover ther own faults. thank u ALLSTAR AUTO

Final Consumer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

Just as I expected the response from the dealer is incorrect and not true. Our test drive consisted of going up and back down the same street, all of about 2 to 3 miles from the lot. No highway driving at all. No mention of my son being a mechanic was ever said. He is not one nor has ever had the training to be one. I have never known a person to be able to diagnose any car problems off the top of there head without diagnostic equipment. The warranty that the dealer said he would throw in for me, was outside of the used car, no warranty contract. I have proof of that. As far as making obscene gestures over the phone.. that's feasibly impossible. I asked for the agreement # and he could not provide that for me. I also have witnesses to that effect. It was then, two weeks after purchase, my son, his girlfriend and my 70yr old father, who stands at 5 foot 6", came to the dealership to ask again for the agreement #, in no way a threatening manner or demanding payment for the transmission. I also have proof of that. My father would have liked to bring the authorities so they could have been informed of his fraudulent business practices, witch they already are after filing a report of auto fraud. The blue book value of this car is $3200, and that's for good condition. I paid $4000, and the car is a lemon. It is of no benefit to me to try and make a bad name for this dealer. He is doing that all on his own. An honest and reputable dealer should want to make good on a problem like this and rescind the contract. Once again this is of no benefit to me, and I would not make false allegations for nothing. So to the public I say, take heed to what I have written in this claim. It is the truth and I have the proof and the witnesses to back up everything that is stated.

I bought a car a few weeks ago from ALLSTAR AUTO and wanted to give a review on there business. I would recommend to anyone to buy a car from them. my car is great and the price was AWESOME!!! customer service was great too. they did a full detail on the car before I left NOW THATS WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Review: [redacted] Said that he would fix the Electric seats. He has been avoiding our calls. Also said transfer would be $30.00...Car was from Nevada and it cost close to $300.00. Also said we don't have to smog it for 2 year's, then 1 year. D.M.V. said he is wrong. Also millage stoped at 211k. D.M.V. ALLMOST made us return the car. Nothing but avoidance, hassles, and close call's. It made sound in engine right off the lot, thought it would stop. It did not.Desired Settlement: Repair seats as he said. Adjustment for Transfer fee's, Diagnose noise. Thank You

Business

Response:

In response to this completely bogus complaint I would like to say first that there electric seats were not broken, the plastic piece on the side of the seat was missing one screw. I showed the husband and he said he would put a screw in it. if they couldn't do it they should have brought the car here and in probably 30 seconds I would have put the screw in for them. next, I told them that there REGISTRATION would be 30 dollars. the funny thing about living in California is that we also have sales tax. there total transfer was almost 300 because they paid TAX and REGISTRATION. in California a vehicle only has to be smogged every two years. a public smog is valid for 90 days, a dealers smog is good for 1 year. If there car was making a noise they should have brought it here and I would have been happy to look at it for them. they say we are avoiding there calls which is completely not true. we are open Monday thru Friday 11am to 7 pm, and Saturdayfrom 9am to 5pm. if anyone calls during business hours we are always happy to help them. they came here and bought the car, if they couldn't get ahold of me why didn't they come here. our door is always open during normal business hours. I think this complaint is completely bogus. I am always here to help people with any situation.
