Next door is a jokeOne lead makes his or her friend a lead and a big mess is createdI have made several complaints to Nextdoor along with screen shots of a lead calling neighbors trash and calling their children nasty trashNothing is ever doneThe lead [redacted] closes post, deletes people she doesn't like and Nothing is done [redacted] should be made to close, they are a joke

Nextdoor bans people who warn about shoddy work by people who advertise on the siteIn this case a man named Daniel [redacted]  advertises home repair and maintenance along with landscapingHe completely ruined a new screen door I had him installHe also put in a fence for another peopleOne had to have it torn down and reinstalled, the othe said her fence is falling apartWhen we tried to let people know about this, we were banned from the site, while the man ripping people off is still advertisingWe discovered he is also a convicted felonNextdoor said this is a personL disputeSince the first boy posts he makes are for his business (not licensed or insured) this should be a business dispute but they have no category for thatThey encourage con artists to be able to prey on innocent victimsIn this case single women, seniors and vets

NextDoor in the Highlands/Cherokee Park area (Louisville) is dominated by a small contingent of leftists who personally and savagely attack anyone who expresses a contrary point of view. These people are elitist and not an insignificant number are, I believe, soft racists. When a parent posted about the Jeff Co Pub Schools being unresponsive to a complaint about a teacher, I suggested that greater choice and even vouchers would permit parents of minority and economically disadvantaged children to achieve better developmental outcomes and a frothing contingent "reported" me to NextDoor. When, in response, I conducted a NextDoor poll asking whether the site should promote (yes/no) a "free, open exchange of ideas on community issues so long as the dialogue is respectful" I was assaulted with some of the most vitriolic commentary I've ever seen on blog site for being political in raising that issue. One of the people who attacked me, incredibly, is a minister in the Episcopal Church in the Metro Louisville area, who when I suggested his very ugly comments were un-Christian accused me of "playing the Christian card." Priestly garments and persona, I guess, are checked on the way out of the church. NextDoor is poisonous to civil dialogue and community amity.

Horrible! Whats up Revdex.com, you gave this company a "A"? umm, [8] Positive Reviews [4] Neutral Reviews [103] Negative Reviews [115] Total Customer Reviews The negative reviews here are actually nice compared to the ones on [redacted] This site has activist leads who ban people without notice and their customer service does not reply I was in the middle of trying to recover a lost cat and also purchase a item from a different neighbor when the account just stopped working This is the second time they have pulled this and according to others is the norm Their reply to your inquiry is a complete lieAs best I can guess, I was banned because I asked a question I asked for clarification of an unfamiliar term from a woman wanting to rent a inexpensive room in a private home for herself and biologic gender unspecified teenager I guess she didn't like the question and complained When I googled the term I found words like transgender, cross dresser and possibly more deviant sexual behaviorSo many people have had very negative experiences with this site that a class action law suite or at least regulation of their business practices seems in order

Depending on your community some leads are dirty hypocrites,no one should run a family website then leave ditigal foot steps behind on dirty websites.Nextdoor leads remove church postings, leads troll for Christians and shut them down.Company cooperate through research breaks members first Amendment rights yet they support abortion, gay rights and god is dead.Hoping class action lawsuit will level these people out of business.I contacted the leads in my area to let them know there were no convicted sex offenders on the site and they closed my account down for punishment. They have cleaned out some emails to destroy proof against the behavior of the leads.I write this for others to understand this is a site for lost dogs and crime

I own a rental property that is vacantFor the past week I have been emailing customer service because I get an error when I try to sign upI own the property and have a right to sign up for next doorThe incompetent customer service keeps sending me the link that errors outWhen I call the corporate headquarters, they refer me back to the incompetent customer service I have wasted a couple hours on this

If you're not a [redacted]  or [redacted] you're posts are BANNED! It's that simple... They are a 'no free/conservative/GOD/truth/thought speech' (unless you're with them) gang, who must get together every Saturday night and go over notes of 'America First' neighbors. And it's spreading like a wildfire. My X-college roommate said the same thing is happening in his city/state/neighborhood. Controlling each neighborhood like an outpost, one city at a time.

Nextdoor violates the first amendmentNextdoor removed a post were I was simply giving my opposing viewpoint to other opinions about the quality of a local businessThe opposing view point violated NONE of the websites "guidelines"Nextdoor "claims" to be a resource where neighbors can get opinions on local resources and businesses ("Find out who does the best paint job in town")They also claim their "core values" are for open communication ("Communicate Openly")When I posted a comment about how I did not like the food from a business (which is my right to free speech, especially since they allow people to post that they like food from a business), the post was removedIt did not violate ANY of Nextdoor's "Community Guidelines"I did not use any bad language, I did not "discriminate against, attack, insult, shame, bully, or belittle others"I simply offered my opinion about a local business's foodIf Nextdoor is going to claim they are helping us to find a better business to

Nextdoor suspended my account without notice and for alleged violation that didn't occurthey compromised my privacy by disclosing a confidential complaint I filed against a Nextdoor Lead who then contacted and confronted me in multiple angry retaliation private messages where she threatened me, boasted she found a way to get rid of me, suspended me without notice and gave a reasonI contacted corporate who instead of investigating the details simply accepted without proof or evidence the Lead's word and told me I was suspended weeks for engaging in disputes with people which was not what happened when I was suspended, I was actually being harassed, attacked and threatened at the time by an inappropriate Lead

A horribly bias company that allows some people to post profanities while censoring others for questioning such attitudeIt is worse than [redacted] censorship wiseFurther more, they are deeply in cahoots with Yelp to disable anyone from posting any comments about that site, just like monstrous [redacted] ! This big brothering really has to stop!

I have experienced a deplorable situation with Next-doorOur neighborhood which was established years ago and has a historical society preserving the sanctity of our neighborhood was merged with another neighborhood due to two "leads" with political motivation in the accompanying neighborhood Since our neighborhood only had one "lead" and did not vote on this boundary reversal, his "non-vote" is considered approval of the merging of the neighborhoods Now, all of our neighborhood is forced to see their political commentary on their view points about not allowed Short term vacation rentals into the area We have asked the leads to change it back and their response was "they don't really see our neighborhood as a true neighborhood." Next-door has no phone number so you are forced to email with incompetent customer service reps who tell you there's nothing they can do about it I am currently exploring other apps to utilize for our neighborhood and will be asking our homeowners to remove themselves from Next-door and for the meantime visit our [redacted] page for neighborhood events and information

Next-door.com has rules for how they run their business. They are not following their own rules. My posts have been arbitrarily and capriciously removed. I have been libeled by their members. I have complained about this and they have not acted in good faith to even discuss the problem with me in a serous manner. They do not want to take the time to try to resolve the problem.

On Sunday, August 18th I received an email from NextDoor Representative( [redacted] ) informing me that there had been a report that I was using a "fake name" and my account was suspendedI immediately responded confirming that I was not using a fake name and that I felt I was being retaliated against by the person I reported for abusing their role as a NextDoor LeadThis person has been a lead for years on NextDoor and has been abusing their right as a ND lead for yearsI reported him and because NextDoor notifies leads of reports against them, he took it upon himself to report my account and have it removedI am offended and feel not only was this a horrible thing to do as I am a member of the HOA board and use NextDoor to communicate important and useful information to the community, but how could someone make such a accusation against meFurthermore, prior to suspending my account why wouldnt NextDoor ask me first so I could provide them with any information necessary to prove

I am the Town Manager for a municipality in MarylandNextdoor sent a fraudulent mailing to our residentsThe mailing used a name and address of a resident in our Town without her knowledge and claimed that she was using and advocating for their serviceIt is completely disingenuous and falseA company should never use a resident's name without prior approvalIt is a scam and they asked residents to join by entering an email

we have tried to contact you via email and if we get someone to reply it's not resolvedI live in Lakeland TN you have a sect of individuals as leads that are terrorizing neighbrs or allowing others to do sothey call themselves the concerned citizens of lakeland and arlingtonAnything posted they do not like, becomes a WAR people have been told off, kicked off nextdoor, publicly humiated! they are ruthless and sick! This is not personal for me, it is for many of our neighborsyou need to make this stop! they have bashed the Mayor and anyone in the local government they do not like!! This week it's nuts!! They have red signs for their photos for [redacted] and [redacted] Not everyone is terrorizing their neighbors but these people are! [redacted] or [redacted] , [redacted] , [redacted] ***, [redacted] , [redacted] ***, [redacted] , [redacted] , [redacted] , [redacted] Please make this stop remove these people from the entire application I have plenty of screen

I had very few exchanges on Nexdoor until recentlyNear the Memorial holiday, I was drawn in by a thread where the originator was ranting about fireworksI began my involvement in the discussion by suggesting that tolerance should be exercisedBack and forth this thread went with numerous people in the community posting their thoughts and opinions on the topicEventually the heated exchanges turned into offering up helpful options for this veteran who suffers from PTSD and had difficulty listening to fireworks being shot off around her houseHowever, all of this hard work and input was erased, when a Lead decided to delete the entire thread from existenceRarely is there a topic that is not met with either derision or an opposing opinionAs long as posts are not filled with profanities or threaten physical harm to another these posts/exchanges should remain on the public forumThese threads showcase the real heart beat of the communityTo engage in practices that remove posts simply because you find the content uncomfortable or because it simply differs from your opinion violates the poster's civil rightsFurthermore, Nextdoor does not simply remove particular posts that possibly violate the TOU guidelines, Nextdoor/Leads removes the entire threadThis is a disservice to the many who contributed to the growth of the threadThis whole cloth elimination of the 'problem' thread does not bring the community together, Nextdoor's stated goal, "Our mission is to provide a trusted platform where neighbors work together to build stronger, safer, happier communities, all over the world," rather it damages the community on many levelsShould all of these posts be removed from public scrutiny, entire threads, the community will not only stagnate in their growth and acceptance of others who also live in their communities but reinforces the notion that tolerance is not necessary, required or encouragedPeople are not always going to behave rationally or politely simply because Nextdoor eliminated the cloak of anonymity by requiring the use of real namesWhen people feel passionate about a subject and others rebut them, tempers will flare and exchanges will often times be less than complimentaryAnd if reasonable voices of the opposition are continued to be silenced, by the wide sweeping Nextdoor policy of whole thread erasure, the mob mentality will only feel strengthened and increase their effortsThis cause and effect is not only predictable, it's easily provableThe mob mentality seizes upon the removal of such a thread, one that does not share their views as a vote of confidence and a nod to continue their methodsMore and more, normally well meaning and rational people get caught up in the heat of the moment and say things they would not say to another's faceThis charged atmosphere, fueled with supportive likes, offers them a mechanism and a means to further their agenda of disruption, discourse and intoleranceIn theory, Nextdoor's policy of placing neighborhood volunteers in positions of authority is a good idea, however, it's very flawedFrom all that I was able to glean, the Leads are unpaid volunteers who have autonomy authorized by Nextdoor to remove entire boards that they might not 'feel' are appropriateEven if the contents of the board/posts are within stipulated guidelines, they can on a whim, remove the entire boardA very slap in the face of American values and sacred protections"Neighborhood Leads can report content, review and vote to remove reported content, or close discussions that were started in their neighborhood." Are these leads emotionally equipped, trained or vetted by Nextdoor making them better able to deal with the occasional barrage of complaints by posters because they don't like what's being said? Or are they more often willing to cave into the pressure of the masses baying for blood? Often times posters tag posts as a violation, encouraging others to follow in their lead if they disagreeDoesn't matter if the post does not violate the guidelines, they simply have to exist in oppositionDoes Nextdoor endorse the censorship of citizens who are being respectful yet might have a difference of opinion? Does Nextdoor encourage unidentified LEADS to post contentious comments (ieBrenda xxxx of Wynbrooke) stoking the fires that already exist? Comments that encourage the loud mouthed tyrannical few? For that matter, should a lead who has engaged in the discussion be allowed the authority to remove an entire thread because they simply don't agree with what's being said? What of the lead who for example is a realtor, who's very income depends on the community liking them? In a small town such as Louisville, where everybody knows one another, a realtor would suffer the kiss of death should they side with the minority opinionWhat of the grandmother who's lived a sheltered life, surrounded by and accepting opinions as fact from friends of hers without searching out the truth? Should these individuals really be put into a position of power, authority over others they might disagree in principle with? I have been posting on public forums since the 1990's and never in my life have I ever witnessed such heavy handed censorship practices for posts that do not violate any TOU guidelinesShould a community member find the subject matter of a thread not to their liking, they can quietly move on as there are numerous other threads that might interest themHowever, we all know this is not always the caseIf said member wants to voice their opposition to said subject matter, they can do so, as long as their disagreement meets the guidelines set forth by Nextdoor"Our Guidelines prohibit posts and replies that discriminate against, attack, insult, shame, bully, or belittle others." Bigotry and intolerance should never be rewarded

I was an active member of my local NextDoor in [redacted] -- one strand was regarding a march being held in [redacted] in January One woman wrote that she "hoped she would not get beat up by wearing a MAGA hat"I responded that NextDoor was not an appropriate venue for such a discussion and that I hoped she would reconsider posting things like thatI got suspended (I found out several months later)I also got accused on using a name because I used just my married name and my email account is an account I had before I was married But easy enough to put both names together, hit google and come up with -- meEvidently, these random suspensions have happened in the past -- It's a shame It's a useful resource whose customer service folks are playing judge and jury with limited experience and guidelines

The companies customer service contact procedures are not reachableYou can only contact the company to resolve an issue if you can sign on to the programIf your account is blocked because of an issue you can’t sign on to contact customer serviceSubsequently your hands are tied

When you find out there has been a complaint against you and they have snatched your post, they will not explain the violation after you inquire about it I asked twice, just what the violation was, and twice, I got the same pre-scripted email to review their guidelines and agree to them That made me decide I wanted no part of themCan I do a zero star?
