We woke to the smell of something electrical burning in our bedroom Firemen cleared the house but said to get an electrician right out Allgood cleared an opening and had someone out within a few hours I got a call telling me right when he would arrive He was polite, knowledgeable, and right to work He checked all the wiring in our bedroom and discovered that it was a burnt out motor in our ceiling fan He quoted replacing it, but my husband was up for that part of the job We were very grateful and very satisfied with the service and the price

Allgood wanted close to $to install a basic shower faucet (labor only, as I had all the parts) Per the plumber's admission, this was about a 2-hour job, coming out to almost $400/hr When I conveyed that I thought the price was outrageous, the plumber responded that they charge a "flat rate" per each job type, and don't charge by the hour (of course they started negotiating discounts, but nowhere near a reasonable price - which I believe should be somewhere around $250-for a 2-hour job labor only) But here's the real frustrating (and in my opinion, unethical) catch: the dispatcher refused to even ballpark this apparently standard flat rate when I asked for it prior to the plumber coming out So in the end, I refused service, and Allgood was able to pick up their $appointment fee for showing up The price was so outrageous that my suspicion is that Allgood deliberately high-balled me in order to get me to refuse, quickly collect $40, and move on to a more lucrative project that had arisen What ever happened to reasonably priced work, and not feeling like I'm dealing with a used car salesman? Maybe the next time a plumber, electrician, etcneeds services in my field, I'll charge them a nice "standard" flat rate 3-times greater than the value of my work, as they should obviously be able to afford it

Called Allgood Plumbing for service work on a toilet because the tank would not stop runningWhen Matt S [redacted] got there he showed me the problem and gave me an estimate for the work done and costWe agreed to the terms and he did not have the parts available, so he made a short trip to s plumbing distributor instead of Home Depot for the parts which in turn saved me some moneySince my other toilet was the same model and age we agreed to have that done too since it also had deteriorated gasketsVery pleased with the workmanship and professionalism showed by MattWill definitely ask for him next time

Yesterday Mark from Allgood Plumbing had to install a New Faucet and I could not be any happier with the Service I received I am a senior citizen and I have Never seen a Repairman go out of the way to repair whatever Problem that you might haveMark actually went to Home Depot with my husband to pick out a New Faucet for meI don't know about your experiences, But this is unusual from my other repair situationsOh, and by the way, the very first time Mark came to my House, he also ran up to Home Depot because he needed a part to help out with my repair problemI wouldn't dream of letting ANYONE else show up at my Door for Plumbing ProblemsMany Thanks, [redacted]
