It is not true that I did not try to contact their customer service.  Please see the attached copy of the email I sent to their Customer Service and their response to me. I also received another call from a Chris C[redacted] from ###-###-#### of Alternative Online Design at 1:00 CST today.  He tried to tell me that it was "understood" that there would likely be additional fees to market the business.  He tried to tell me that even though their marketing coach, Shawn C[redacted], was verbally abusive, that most people finally listened to him about charging the additional fees to their credit card and thanked him later for his "direct" approach.  Chris also tried to get me to use my credit cards to invest more money for the marketing end.  He said that anyone would understand from the presentation that surely they would have to spend more money to do this business.  It is not mandatory, but they aren't going to "coach" you like the representative promises you unless you are willing to pay more money.  The contract is legal and binding.  Their marketing practices are; however, deceptive and unethical.  ALL fees deemed "advisable" to run this business should be brought out in the open from the very beginning.  They were fully aware from the start of their contact with me that I was older and NOT internet savvy; therefore, they cannot use the justification of "assumption" as a response for their not revealing everything up front.

This customer has been refunded his full amount as of 7/10/2015. This complaint should be marked as closed

Alternative Online Design was complaint on all of her requests even when it came time to cancel her account. Next she asked us to stop a monthly charge she was receiving directly from [redacted] Services for something she signed up on her own with [redacted]. customers subscribe to and therefor cannot cancel them for the customer. We instructed Leslie that she would need to get into contact with [redacted] themselves to find out exactly what the charges were for and to request for them to be cancelled. All of the requests Leslie made directly with our company have been honored and there will not be any future charges from Alternative Online Design.

This transaction was refunded via PayPal over a month ago. John has been instructed to contact PayPal directly and ask why it is not showing on his account. All funds have been subtracted from Alternative Online Design LLC's account with PayPal, and this issue is resolved with our refund policy...

We will have our accounting department look at the issued refund via PayPal again to show it taken from our accounts.

I wrote a response, tried to send it and it was deleted.  In order to meet the 7 days deadline, I am faxing my response with correspondence.

We have been trying to reach out and offer a resolution to this complaint. Have left many voicemails with requests for contact back, but as of today have not heard back from her. We are willing to resolve this complaint just need communication to do so. Please call us if you read this.

Nobody called me and offered a full refund.I even called them sent them a letter and they did not acknowledge about receiving my letter moreso offering me a refund. I would gladly call my card which is Paypal by the way and is not so difficult to do a refund. Just call me or email me on what they need me to do.

We reached out to apologize for this inconvenience, and have since put in the request for account change with PayPal. This was a declined transaction do to having old account information on our company. It is not common practice for Alternative Online Design to utilize PayPal for processing because...

our services are digital and therefor not protected by their seller policies. This customer was informed that the change could take a couple of days but after it had been completed a refund would be reissued back to her. Again we apologize for this mix up and hopefully this process has been completed by the time she reads our response.

Mr. S[redacted] first signed up with us on 7/27/2015 for a total cost of $1,495.00 for the purchase of a custom built website, custom domain name, and one year of free hosting. Contracts were sent out to authorize this payment and services, and Mr. S[redacted] signed then returned them to us. Next on 8/03/2015...

He purchased additional advertising products for his website at a cost of $6,000, where again documentation was signed and returned to us to authorize payment and competition of services. This makes for a total of $7,495.00 spent with our company and not the $10,995.00 that he claims he wants a refund on in this complaint. Since the time of this complaint on 12/16/2015 we have been working with Mr. S[redacted] and continue to work with him to date. Mr. S[redacted] is still earning income from his website and has never mentioned a refund again. This complaint is considered closed in our company.
