He also agreed to refund us $in total on May 17th and represented that he processed that refundHe now seems to be admitting that he lied to us.French Doors: Mr A [redacted] was at our house the day the doors were installedHe is claiming that the homeowner, and not the hired professional, should have known it was the wrong door before it was installedHe's correct that it was in our garage, but it was wrapped and leaning against the wall behind other construction materialWe did not know it was the wrong door and relied on him to comply with our contract We are owed a full refund on that contractHe can have the approx $door he installed when we can replace it In addition, the door is not onstalled fully or correctlyI can send pictures if needed as it is clear from the photos it was not done correctly.Side/hall door: Our response is exactly the same as for the French door.Bathroom: A [redacted] has not completed the work for the final two installments, which total $We are not trying to not pay for work done in the bathroom The work, however, is not to the quality MrA [redacted] claimsI can also send photos of needed, but we will have to fix sheetrock and paint ourselves MrA [redacted] promised to refund us $and to finish the bathroom that same dayHe neither completed the bathroom that day nor issued us a refund Sincerely, [redacted]

This claim has only one truth to itThe job needs pieces of cove molding installed above the cabinetsThe trim in question is trim that the customer was to purchase and supply due to the fact that he was purchasing all the cabinets and accessoriesI had to go to order it on my own however when it arrived, it was the wrong colorI told the customer this and he said no problemThe kitchen is 99,9% completeThere are a few minor touch ups to be completed as wellThis goes along with every JobAs far as us not showing upThis is completely false! We could not make it last week and he was notified via telephone due to circumstances beyond my control.this was the only missed appointmentAlso everytime he contacted us all his e mails and calls were always returnedAs far as his card being charged for work or doneAn outright lieHe has a balance owed for the trim workThe touch ups do not fall under work not done as they are touch upsWe have gone above and beyond for this customer adding several extra items to his job time and time againHis job looks fantastic as I am proud enough to sponsor it in our kitchen marketing materials and have had many complimentsWe will provide this customer with his balance owed him and any other amount to cover the touch ups...this is just one email that is representative of his approval and appreciation of our work and the job:Frank: Just wanted to let you know that the place is really coming together and looking great with granite countertops and paintingThe painting crewdid a nice job and really cleaned up when they leftI hope to see you on Monday or at least talk about details- [redacted]

I would like to add a reply to the last message made by the contractor: I do not accept the response made by the business to resolve this complaint I would like to resolve this issue and move forward I hired another contractor to correct the problem with the footing It cost me an additional $more than the total amount contracted by Alteri Construction to finish the foundation I am seeking $refund from Alteri Construction which I feel is fair Alteri has already collected $from me

The job was cancelled by Mr [redacted] I did give Mr [redacted] a check (pro rated) for work that was not completedHe asked for an additional $1,Now he is sling for an additional $2,There is no mention of poor quality of workI told Mr [redacted] we would send him the $1, There is no need for me to speak with himHe can send me a notarized letter of cancellation stating he did receive $2,and that by accepting an additional $1,the matter would be final and closedOnce I receive the written confirmation, we will send him the balance of $1,I will await the cancellation letter stating such

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:We have never signed any contract with Altieri Construction in person or "e" singedHe has two different contracts for the same amount $2,that I supposedly signed but on different dates one for March 24th, and the second for February 18th, so he is contradicting himself on thatAlso we never got a so called certificate of completion That he sent to consumer protection! That he says we relieved on March 8th.And you can clearly see that its in his hand writing! The last day when he came to fix the problem we were having with the hot water coming out of the tub faucet firstWhen he told my wife to go check out the water while he went to put his tools away when she came back down to talk to him he had left without saying anything to herAgain we are not denying to pay for his"job", but now we have to pay another contractor to come and fix his "job"! He has also said that we were threatening to do damage to his company and yet he is the one trying to get arrest warrants for us from the city of [redacted] and [redacted] ! Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Many half truths and liesI was told that they had no issue with the quality of work as of my employees stood by and heard the same thingHalf truth about the [redacted] ***I paid for removal not the homeownerThe reason we have contracts is to honor themThey decided to cancel with out warning or without doing so in writing as the contract statesAt this point I am more than confident that a judge will see through all the nonsense and rule in our favorI stand by my original statement

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: He is trying to charge me $2,for barely hours worth of work, I have a text showing what time he left on Monday, and not his workers not returning till following dayI will gladly pay reasonable amount of money for the hours of workHe is trying to charge me labor of $which would equal about $100/hour, this is ridiculous, a trip charge of $125, materials purchased and returned $ Sincerely, [redacted]

I (frank a [redacted] ) of Altieri Construction did in fact issue a contract to complete a bathroom renovation for [redacted] of [redacted] **I visited her home to give her an estimateUpon submission of my estimate she had responded and asked that I do the work at her homeI explained to her that we would have to meet again, sign a co tract and I would have to obtain a deposit from her prior to starting her jobShe complied and scheduled a date for us to meet which was August FridayI arrived and we went over detailsAt that point I asked her to sign the contract, which she did and to give me a deposit for $2,After signing and writing a check, she asked when I would start, and how long it woukd takeI to,d [redacted] I would tentatively start on Friday August however it would be possible that we may not start until !monday the 17thShe said it was not a problemI texted [redacted] the day prior or Thursday the 13th to tell her that if we do not make it on the 14th we would be there Monday morning the 17thHer text reply was " ok, no problem" I have all of the text messages savedWe showed up on Monday and gutted her bathroom and u covered a few issues with her plumbingI did tell her I had to leave to get materials which I in fact didIWe do not work by the hour nor do I insinuate the we do soWe returned the following day with the materials at which point we installed a new fan/vent combo with new duct work venting outside which she did not have in her existing bathroomWe sheetrocked the entire bathroom, and installed wonderboard in the showerMy lead mechanic told [redacted] that we would not be back the next day because of the high humidity and being that there was taping done that day we were giving it a full day to dryHe stated we would be back Thursday [redacted] texted me on Wednesday and asked if I should have her pickup the toilet and sinkWe were hired to do that and so I was not quite sure why she would ask me about this which she clearly knew we were doingIn any event , one of my mechanics was en route to her home Thursday morning when she called and left a "threatening " message on my voice mailThis was [redacted] first call other than a textI was on the other lineI immediate Y returned her phone call at which time she began to yell and shout at me and began to threaten meAt this time I called my mechanic and told him to turn aroundI told her she said she wanted to cancel the contractI to,d her I would refund her a pro rated portion of money to her, we calculated that refund and she will receive a check for $There is in fact debris in her driveway, we were going to fill up a bull bag upon finishing to have picked up however when she called and threatened and cancelled the job she did indicate she did not want us backThus the debris in her drivewayWe contract jobs only with people who trust us and do not threaten usWe provided a service to which we were contracted for, the job was moving forward and would have been wrapped up this Thursday in its entiretyEvery phone call was returned that [redacted] placed a nd left a message forMy office staff does not answer to her , they merely relay information to customers or take messagesI will not tolerate any hostile language or acts upon my office personnel at any timeI have a signed contract along with all confirming texts as to when or when we would not be thereI am more than willing to share any and all information with you including written statements from all of my employees

This customer chose to cancel a contract due to the fact that two of three doors that wee ordered were incorrectMy employees picked up these doors from [redacted] per my instructionsConsequently [redacted] gave them the wrong door finish on both doorsThese doors were in the customers garage for over a weekNot until after the doors were fully installed the customer stated they were incorrectI told them I would refund the moneyWe issued a refund for themHere is the situation as we speak, the doors are in their house, so we issued a refund of the total paid (50% of all doors) one of which cannot be returned due to the fact is is a special order doorThat door is correct and is exactly what they orderedSo they are now awaiting a refund of %of all three doors, less the full cost of the special order door which they can have " it's their door" and less $labor for preparation on both openings due to the fact that all of the hardest and in detail work was done and if another contractor installs new doors they have that much less work to doAndwhentbose doors are available for me to return they will get that money back so here is the breakdown bathroom wasn't complete due to canceled contract, they owe $that is a wash $oweddoors : $1800, $, $total $4,180.0amount of refund : cost of special order door (non refundable) - $1680.00cost of two doors installed -$700.00cost if labor $each opening (3) -$1,total - $3,therefore refund due -$and when I get the doors back to return they will get an additional $and the door they paid for (front door) they chose to cancel this contrCt after staying to me to " take my time" do it rightThere is no issues with the quality of work and thus no reason to cancel this contractWe would have installed what ever doors he wanted [redacted] made an error which we would have correctedThis is not a reason to cancel mid contract as far as the [redacted] ***, I paid for the removal of the bag and have a receipt that says so

Altieri Comstruction just remodeled one of our bathroomsHe made it "senior friendly" in that he removed the tub and installed a walk in shower for usThe work that was done was impeccableFrank and his crew were very efficient, informative and knowledgableThis contractor has gone above and beyond my expectationsMy wife and I could not be more pleased with Mr Altieri and his workmanshipI give this contractor a star rating and emphasize the fact that I would highly recommend him to my family and friendsI will be working on future projects with this contractorThank you again for a job well done

Frank and his crew did lattice and framing on my decksThey did an excellent jobThey did not proceed to the next phase until the previous phase was perfectThey had great attention to detailThey explained everything clearly and answered any questionsThey were very professional and nice people and were easy to work withIt was a pleasure having them here to do work for meI highly recommend Altieri construction if you need any work done on your home

I've spent countless hours reading customer reviews, canvassing contractor's website, viewing multiple social media platforms in search of a carpenter that meets my criteria which is honest, skilled/knowledgeable, trustworthy, clean and considerateBasically I was looking for a professional who would listen to what I wanted and then do itI have found this request extremely difficult to achieveErgo, I will try to further describe my expectations and ultimately the carpenter I found, Frank Altieri of Altieri Construction who not only meet my criteria but also exceeded my wildest dreams by transforming my space into the beautiful, relaxing, serene room it was meant to beA carpenter who would treat (e.g., not track mud throughout my house, unnecessary dirty hands on walls, using a drop cloth to place tools on instead of my hardwood floor) my home/items in it with respectFrank placed drop clothes- CLEAN drop clothes throughout my houseHe used plastic to cover areas a drop cloth couldn't be usedOne rainy day his crew needed to come in & out of my house multiple times, walking through a muddy patch each timeHis crew took the time to take on & off booties (cloth cover wraps) so that my floors would not get destroyedThese are the little things to me that make all the difference in the worldA carpenter who was as considerate of my time as they are of their ownNow having said that, I am very familiar with the day to day scheduling difficulties a tradesmans encounters due to the inability to predict the length of time each job may beI understand the many variables (e.g., having to leave a job to get a part, delays at stores when buying materials, having to load & unload materials, setting up & breaking down jobs, travel time, traffic, discussion with customers that take longer then expected, having to get fuel, pulling off road to take a call, etc.) a tradesman must deal withAlthough I understand these challenges, the tradesman I hire must be one that is considerate enough to call/text if the time needs to be changedThe office staff with Altieri Construction did contact me prior to my schedule job start date to inform me of a conflict and that we would need to rescheduleMy job ended up being delayed for almost weeks because of commitments on both of our endsI have to admit I did understand but of course I was disappointedI wanted my job done yesterday I was ready to go why wasn't he? Then I realized the world does not revolve around me and although I was hiring Altieri Construction I did not own themSo I waited and once the wait was over wellI WAS TICKLED PINK, ON TOP OF THE WORLD, OVER THE MOON, HAPPY AS A CLAM, ON CLOUD NINE IN SEVENTH HEAVENThe job Altieri Construction did left me speechless! It was amazing and exactly what I asked for! MrAltieri prior to the start of my job explained in detail the steps/process involved, I must admit I can not recall these details but that is why he is the expert, the skilled & knowledgeable tradesman and I am notI am the customer, the more than satisfied customer who can honestly say,
Every cent I spent was worth it and that is a gratifying feeling!
Frank Altieri, the owner of Altieri Construction was honest, he did exactly what he said he would which was exactly what I askedThey were trustworthy, clean and considerateThe areas of my house they were not working on were left just the same as the day before they arrivedAnyone searching for a carpenter/handyman?
I strongly recommend:
Frank Altieri, owner of Altieri Construction of Trumbull, CT
