American Handicapped Disadvantaged Workers Reviews (54)

This is a telemarketing scam masquerading as a benefit to disabled workers They called my aged and mentally incompetent mother-in-law who agreed to buy twelve watt incandescant lightbulbs for $ Retail for this product is $per bulb or $for this orderI called to return the productI was told that wasn't possible but the bill could be settled for $and they will put her on their No Call List I am going to pay this amount to resolve the issue but it is clearly a rip-off I don't know if there are any handicapped or disadvanatged workers but I suspect if so, this is a sheltered workshop and someone else if profiting, This is not a charity

problemRespectfully,*** ***Owner

Initial contact with this company came through an unsolicited cell phone call During that phone call someone identified himself as being with disadvantaged Group or what I thought was disabled veterans of America of which I'm a life member I was solicited for a donation of which I thought was going to the VA but instead a totally different groupAfter I refuse to give a credit card number the product or whatever was mailed to my address I received a total of lightbulbs inch or inch stainless steel sheer kitchen shears for total of $I have also received the same bill plus One dollar Cent each time they mail a late noticeMy solution I will gladly return their product in the same condition that it was sent to me

a gentleman called me about making a donation He stated the price 39.95$ I told him that's sounds affordable he told me to complete the transaction I would need to speak with a supervisor I said I couldn't do that I didn't have time to call me back and gave my cell number After this I received the product (light bulbs) in the mail Ever since i've been getting threatening and rude phone calls stating I never had any intentions on paying thisThe other phone calls are telling they are suing me and i'm going to be served papers by the sheriffs office One caller even proceeded to use curse words I was going to pay this but now I am not going to On 4/30/i'm returning the product still in the same package writing return to sender My opinion nobody deserved to be called and spoke to in this matter thank you

Please extend my apology to Mr*** for the misunderstanding. I have cancelled the order and placed his name on our do-not-call list. I hope this satisfies the problem.Respectfully*** ***American Handicapped

Please extend my apology to Ms*** for the misunderstanding. We cancelled this order in late April in response to a communication fromher. Thanks for your assistance.*** ***

We were contacted by Ms*** directly. At that time we agreed to cancel the order and place her phone number on our "do not call" list
I hope that resolves the problem
Thanks

I am unable to find any record of a transaction for Mr*** in our current database. He definately does not owe us any money. I searched using the gentleman's phone number and the account number he provided. We maintain customer contact information for about eighteen months
so it is possible that we sold him something two or more years ago. However, we would not have contacted him recently.
Would it be possible to have Mr*** send us the date and the return address on the bill he received. I believe that he may be dealing with a California firm with a similar name
Thank you for your help
Respectfully,
*** ***
