American Handicapped Disadvantaged Workers Reviews (54)

In response to a request made earlier this week, we cancelled Mr. [redacted] order and placed his phone number on our internal do-not-call list.  Please extend our apology to Mr. [redacted] for the inconvenience.  Because we never received the returned product, our system treated it as an...

open invoice.I hope this resolves the matter to the gentleman's satisfaction. Thanks for your help.

Our records differ a bit from Ms. [redacted] account. We do show the purchase of the scissors at $25.00 (paid). We do not have any unpaid orders. If Ms. [redacted] would like to return the scissors, we will refund her money upon receipt.I hope this resolves the...

problem.Thanks for your help.

Initial contact with this company came through an unsolicited cell phone call. During that phone call someone identified himself as being with disadvantaged Group or what I thought was disabled veterans of America of which I'm a life member. I was solicited for a donation of which I thought was going to the VA but instead a totally different group. After I refuse to give a credit card number the product or whatever was mailed to my address. I received a total of 12 lightbulbs 17 inch or 8 inch stainless steel sheer kitchen shears for total of $139.95. I have also received the same bill plus One dollar 50 Cent each time they mail a late notice. My solution I will gladly return their product in the same condition that it was sent to me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I was called regarding a collection for items (degreaser) which I didnot order and they are trying to say that if I do not pay they will take me to court over it. Customer beware of this company they are bad news.

a gentleman called me about making a donation. He stated the price 39.95$. I told him that's sounds affordable he told me to complete the transaction I would need to speak with a supervisor. I said I couldn't do that I didn't have time to call me back and gave my cell number. After this I received the product (light bulbs) in the mail. Ever since i've been getting threatening and rude phone calls stating I never had any intentions on paying this. The other phone calls are telling they are suing me and i'm going to be served papers by the sheriffs office. One caller even proceeded to use curse words. I was going to pay this but now I am not going to. On 4/30/14 i'm returning the product still in the same package writing return to sender. My opinion nobody deserved to be called and spoke to in this matter thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.American Handicapped and Disabled Workers, Inc. has another billing sent to us on 12/04/13,acct#tk 40/23/0120 for $29.50 for cards that were not agreeded by us . Last year we purchased cards by credit card. We are now concerned that they have our credit information, and bill us for items that were not purchased. Also, this company asks for '"donations "which is a false representation of charity. A donation is 1.The act of giving to a fund or cause.  2.A gift or grant [ The American Heritage Dictionary]  This is a for profit company, that  misrepresents itself. We want our name removed from their sales list, and have no access to our credit card.  Also finance charges are added to past due charges, ...that was our first warning sign that this was not a charity as the name would indicate and the sales person would disclose.Regards,

Please extend my apology to Ms. [redacted] for the misunderstanding. We cancelled this order in late April in response to a communication fromher. Thanks for your assistance.[redacted]

We were contacted by Ms. [redacted] directly.  At that time we agreed to cancel the order and place her phone number on our "do not call" list.

I hope that resolves the problem.

Thanks

I am unable to find any record of a transaction for Mr. [redacted] in our current database.  He definately does not owe us any money.  I searched using the gentleman's phone number and the account number he provided.  We maintain customer contact information for about eighteen months...

so it is possible that we sold him something two or more years ago.  However, we would not have contacted him recently.

Would it be possible to have Mr. [redacted] send us the date and the return address on the bill he received.  I believe that he may be dealing with a California firm with a similar name

Thank you for your help.

Respectfully,

Owner

From the information in Mr. [redacted]'s reply I was able to identify the invoice.  I have cancelled the transaction and placed the phone number on our do-not-call list. I hope this resolves the matter.

Please extend my apology to Ms. [redacted].  Because we didn't receive the returned package, our system continued to generate collection activity.  I have cancelled the transaction and placed her phone number on our do not call list.  It is possible that she may receive one more post...

card or phone call.  If so, please ask Ms. [redacted] to disregard it.Thank you for your help.

On December 11, 2013 we received a call from Ms. [redacted].  At that time we cancelled the existing invoice TK/40/23/0120. The only other transaction we have in our database for Ms. [redacted] was dated 6/13/2013.  It was paid for with a check, not a credit card.
