DO NOT EVER do business with this company! Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Too many problems to list but I'll try a few - first they promised things they did not deliver, they were going to repair the facia/soffit but never did, came up with some excuse of the boards were a different size. They took longer than promised, it took a full 6 weeks for them to complete the roof then additional weeks to fix the problems and leaks. They were careless with their ladder placement and destroyed many of our plants, I got 2 flat tires due to nails being left around, and the workers left trash and cigarette butts in our yard. They promote their company as one that hires veterans but not one person that came to the job spoke English. They did not finish around the chimney correctly so the roof leaked with the first thunderstorm. Took weeks for them to fix the leak. Then weeks longer to fix the damage to our ceiling. Then, 9 months later, I went to apply for an equity credit line only to find out they had never taken the lien off of our house and had never sent the Certificate of Completion to our insurance company (I found this out because I got a letter in the mail from our insurance company threatening to not renew our insurance), even though American Hero had been paid in full. I have NEVER had so many problems with a contractor. Do not do business with these people!

I need the President of ***, Mr Robert P to contact his subsidiary company, AMERICAN HERO CONSTRUCTION CO located in Orange City, Florida to send an IMMEDIATE RELEASE FORM TO MY INSURANCE CO: *** to withdraw from the contract they fraudulently obtained from me. AMERICAN HERO CONSTRUCTION CO appeared at my door one day in November, 2019 uninvited to get FREE access to my roof in order to get a roofing job with the pretense that a Hail storm sometime back had damaged many roofs in my area, and they would ONLY take a look to see if my roof had been damaged.Sure enough, the rep came down stating he had taken pictures and indeed the roof showed damage - I could hardly see the damaged he proposed to have taken pictures of. He continued by prompting me to sign a piece of paper to give them permission to contact my insurance co to ONLY ASCERTAIN IF I HAD A CLAIM OR NOT. The agent never told me they were going ahead with the claim. Soon after my insurance co sent me a check payable to my MORTGAGE CO, AMERICAN HERO AND MYSELF to my surprise because they had failed to provide me with an ESTIMATE PRIOR to my authorizing them to make a claim on my behalf.TODATE, AMERICAN HERO HAVE NOT FIXED MY ROOF NOR HAVE THEY SENT A RELEASE TO MY INSURANCE CO SO I CAN HAVE THE ROOFERS OF MY CHOICE REPLACE MY ROOF.KINDLY ASSIST ME IN OBTAINING A RESOLUTION TO THIS MATTER. THANK YOU ***

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I have contacted Robert P by email and correspondence to no avail. His company is: *** KNOWN AND AFFIRMED TO BE CONNECTED WITH AMERICAN HERO CONSTRUCTION LLC LOCATED IN ORANGE cITY, FL. The reason for my contacting Mr P is to kindly direct American Hero to IMMEDIATELY SEND A RELEASE FORM TO MY insurance company: *** withdrawing from the roofing job they fraudulently obtained my signature to contact my insurance co.

We re currently working with her attorney and ours to facilitate a solution. She has asked us to perform illegal activities. She does not understand that what she asks is fraud, because it was a common business practice in the past for many roofers. Those caught paid heavy fines and even jail time.
We have offered to perform the repairs with no money down, although the check from the insurance company is in both our name and hers. But she refused us.
As for us coercing her. She called our office and asked for an inspection of her roof. The insurance company then inspected after us and agreed with our findings that the roof is damaged and will need to be replaced. If she does not get it replaced, then they will eventually drop her and stop payment on the check. She signed a contract that basically says that if we are able to convince the Insurance to pay for the roof, then we get to do the work. But she wants us to sign off on the check and allow another company to bid at a lower price than what the insurance is paying and then PROFIT from the insurance company. SHE DOESN'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS ILLEGAL IN ALL 50 STATES and is called insurance fraud. She referred us to her lawyer. I personally met with him and he agreed with us. She then contacted the state twice to complain and when they reviewed all of our documents, including the contract, they also agreed with us. So now we have our own attorney involved. By the terms of the contract, if she wants us to release her from her obligation, then she must forfeit 20% of the Insurance company's total estimate to perform the repairs. Or she can simply allow us to do our job and complete the repairs.
It has been my pleasure to work with many Seniors in the community and fight for their rights against the Insurance companies. She is the first to attempt to force me to do something illegal. I can provide many referrals from Seniors that I have helped, with their permissions.
I am in my 50s and my own father is in his 80s. I will always do my best to prevent Seniors from being taken advantage of. Her biggest problem is that she does not want to pay her deductible, and wants to keep some of the money that the insurance company is willing to pay. Please feel free to call me directly at 386-624-2368 for further information. I can and will release any information that our attorneys will allow. It has not been decided yet if we are taking legal action. But I do believe at this point it is a foregone conclusion.
Thank you for your time

Because this company has been investigated re Scams and they prey on Seniors like me to confuse or simple withhold pertinent information. In addition, they li, lie and lie; as soon as they heard I had received a check from the insurance co; they DEMANDED I give them the whole check received from the insurance co - By that time, they had lied to me so much that I became suspicious of the schme and did not want anything to do with them.
It was the investigator from the 7th Judicial - State Attorney's office that advised me quickly CANCEL THEY MADE ON MY BEHALF WITHOUT MY FIRST GIVEN ME AN ESTIMATE WHICH I WAS ENTITLED TO.

"...to convince the insurance (?) to pay for the roof, then we get go do the work...but she want us to sign off the check and allow another company tobid at a lower price than what the insurance is paying and then profit from the insurance company..."
WHAT A HORRIBLE INVENTION!!! THIS ILLEGAL STORY INVENTED BY THEM HAS BEEN FABRICATED TO STEAL THE INSURANCE MONEY AND MY MONEY.

I was nice enough to try to work with them IN SPITE OF THEIR DEMAND TO SIGN THE ENTIRE CHECK TO THEM. EVEN I WAS WILLING TO GIVE THEM A DOWN PAYMENT TO DO MY ROOF BUT IN RETROSPECT THERE HAVE LIED SO MUCH THAT I DO NOT WANT THEM NEAR ME!!

AS PER THE INVESTIGATOR'S SUGGESTION, I CANCELLED THIS CLAIM AND I HAVE RETURNED THE CHECK TO THE INSURANCE CO.
THE INSURANCE CO HAS NOT TERMINATED ME. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY HARASS AND THREATEN ME AND NOW IT IS IN WRITING.
THIS CASE IS HEREBY CLOSED.

Jose was easy to work with and they did a great job. Every step was explained and I was keep informed of what to expect along the way. They did a good cleanup after the roof was completed. I would recommend them.

Great job on the roof they worked on after the hurricane hit.

If every contractor/construction co in the USA operated like American Hero Constrution co, then this would be a country of very satisfied, happy home-owners.
And if all project managers were like Jay M, then no home-owner would have anything to complain about.
From the beginning, Jay and I struck a common chord. He is a man of his word, and his eye for detail is remarkable.
He explained to me what the job entailed , the time factor, cost , material etc
And as said, so was everything done in a most timely manner, with two very satisfied parties shaking hands in the end, and promising to keep the relationship.
With my Certificate of Completion in hand, I am one happy puppy, that I met Jay M, and that I entrusted my project to him.
Thank you, Jay.

American Hero hasn't completed the job on my home and are threatening to put a lien on my home if I don't sign my home insurance claim check
In January 2019 I contracted American Hero Orlando to replace my roof. In my roofing contract stated that the solar panels on my roof needed to be removed and Reinstalled. As of January 2020 the solar panels haven't been reinstalled properly. American Hero roofing company received partial funds from my homeowners insurance company and they refused to pay the solar panel company and told the solar panel company To do not do the job on my home. On December 31 the project manager Rachel told me to sign the certificate of completion so they can get the final check from the homeowners insurance company I refuse to sign because the job wasn't completed. A few weeks later American Hero called project manager called to tell me that they received the homeowners insurance check. I don't know how American Hero received the check from my homeowners insurance company if I didn't sign the certificate of completion form. American Hero has also threatened to put a lien on my home if I don't endorse the homeowners insurance check but I refuse to do so because the job isn't completed. On January 15,2020 the manager named Tyrone from American Hero Orlando called to set up an appointment with the solar panel company which is named Solology. On January 17,2020 American Hero manager Tyrone and the solar panel company manager named Kevin was scheduled at 3pm to come to my home to finish the job. the solar panel company manager Kevin called me at 1pm to inform me that American Hero told them to cancel the appointment. When I called American Hero to find out why the appointment was canceled the manager tyrone refused to speak to me and the project manager Rachel told me that they sent the home insurance check to my mortgage company to have them endorse the check and she didn't give me an explanation as to why my appointment was canceled. I strongly believe that American Hero are fraudulently trying to have my home insurance company paid for a job that isn't completed. I've tried on several occasions to have this matter resolved With American Hero but they aren't willing to corporate with me. I'm disappointed in the way they conduct their business it's not right for companies as American Hero to scam home owners and the homeowners insurance company. Please help me to resolve this matter so it won't continue to happen to someone else. I'm available any day and time to further discuss this matter

Desired Outcome

I strongly believe In order for American Hero to be paid by my homeowners insurance company American Hero need to fully completed the job they were contacted to do. I want the job on my home properly completed ASAP by American Hero and the solar panel company. I'm willing to sign the check once they properly complete the job on my home.

I talked with Mrs. today regarding her complaint. I explained to Mrs. that the roofing project was completed and passed inspection by the county in which she live in. The roof passed inspection on 11/20/19. The outstanding issue with the project is not the roof, but the solar system on her roof. The solar system had a mechanical issue that was repaired 7 months ago. However, it has not been tested because no one has been available to give the technician access to the home to test the system. The on and off valve is located in the garage. We have called numerous times to set up this appointment. The solar company has unsuccessfully also reached out to the customer. Mrs. informed me today that she is in another state and will not be returning until next year. She has arranged for a relative to be available for an appointment for this Friday 1/24/2020. Once that service is completed she has agreed to remove the complaint filed with the Revdex.com

Customer Response • Jan 27, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Like I stated in my 1st complaint I've been dealing with the unfinished job to my home for a year now and American Hero Roofing company only contacted me when they wanted to get me to sign the final homeowner insurance check. Before that no one from the roofing company contacted me to insure the job will be properly completed. AS for the solar company when I set up for them to finish the job to the solar panels and sensor on 1/17/2020 the solar company told me that American Hero told them to don't show up to finish the job. Another appointment was given to the solar company by American Hero on 1/24/2020 and the solar company said my panels weren't placed correctly so I don't know how my home passed inspection. As for the response from my complaint by American Hero No one fixed my solar system 7 months ago and No one has contacted me numerous times to enter my home. So that statement from American Hero general manager Tyrone is false. The general manager also threaten me to remove my complaint but I stand by every thing and I want to inform others as to how American Hero conduct their business and how they don't value their customers. As a homeowner dealing with American Hero has been a disappointing experience.

American Hero Construction Response • Feb 05, 2020

As of Junuary 28, 2020, all services have been completed. The service provider and American Hero has reached out to informed the customer. As of today, we yet to reach her, not has she returned any of our calls. At No time was Mrs. threaten regarding the Revdex.com complaint. I requested that she removed the complaint once the service was completed and she agreed. Her complaint is not valid. The lack of communication was not the fault of American Hero and the subcontractor. As I stated earlier in the response, we have yet to hear from her regarding the January 28, service.

See attachment:

My complaint is for breach of contract. On 9/24/19 I delivered the first payment in the amount of 7,174.33 to Jason M, two days later they finished putting the roof, two months later I am waiting for them to start the garage and a bedroom, they have never sent anyone to do the job. They made 4 screens for the windows that were very crooked and short. There were damage to the bottom of the roof (the folded aluminum) they straightened it and put a plaque of corque and looks very ugly. I have called them many times and they say they will send someone and they never arrive. I no longer trust them, nor do I want them to come do what is missing from work.

Desired Outcome

See attachment: My wish is that the final payment be sent to the insurance, so the work that have been done so far and forget about the garage and the bedroom and that a lien of the house be released. What remains to be finished I will look for another responsible company to finish it even if I have to pay it of my money. "Once the insurance sends the final payment I will call them to come and get the check"

Our conversation was very positive I showed him all the damaged screens, gutter ,aluminum bent and the plague of corked they putting. He promised me to start the repairs on the 12/13/19 then called me to start on the 12/15/19 .He also want to complete the repairs on the garage and the bedroom .

American Hero Construction Response • Jan 28, 2020

We are currently working with the customer regarding their original concerns. The customer has been pleased with the outcome. We are scheduled to complete the final repair for this customer by January 31, 2020. The customer is knowledgeable of this date and final repair needed.

We worked with Steven F, Fort Myers Manager. Everything he promised came true. Timely start, Timely finish. Inspections done in a timely manner. The materials were great and the color we chose was perfect. Steven is a very professional, caring and trustworthy business person and he answered all our questions in detail. We are very happy with roofing job and with Steven F. We would recommend strongly that if you are planning to replace a roof, that you use American Hero Construction with Steven F. Thanks Steven!!!!

Door to door sale rep knocked on door like he was a friend and on the door it clearly states no soliciting. Ian Ponder then stated, "well I like talking to people!"

Ian...please have someone explain what No soliciting means to you.

we hired them to replace our roof, immediately after the install we discovered cover intrusion they and shotty work.
My husband hired Hero Construction to perform a roof installation. They came out and performed the work. Shortly after we noticed water intrusion in an area of our home we never had water issues with prior. They came out initally and said it was not water it was from the banging on the roof.

After the next rain we noticed the popcorn separating from the ceiling and called them, they sent one person out who said he would need to come back but have never done so.

I contacted them and spoke with Sylvia, the poor woman said again she will contact her production manager and have the contact me. I asked for a copy of their insurance since they were not doing anything. She advised she is not sure who their carrier is.

Desired Outcome

We need our roof fixed, the ceiling and drywall in the house fixed

American Hero Construction Response • Sep 12, 2019

Talked with both homeowners. It appears that there may have been some confusion as to our reaction towards identifying and fixing the problems. Mr. Barns was aware of our efforts towards inspecting the roof. We have scheduled an appointment for 9/13/19 between 10-11 am. Our production manager and senior field inspector will inspect to roof and schedule all repairs required to insure the roof and ceiling are repaired properly. I will follow up with the home owner tomorrow by 5:00pm

Finish the job started
On 03/20/2019 I started looking for a contractor to fix/replace the dammged roof, I immediately got reached by multiple companies, the first one to contact me was American Hero Construction through their project manager "Mike Ismail", the the name of that company alone will make you feel you're in good hands (proven not true). I ignored the other companies messages and started the process with mike who visited my house the next day to evaluate the damage. Mike was very polite and helpful and explain to me how the process will go. I was happy to know that my roof will be replaced within a one month frame, and wouldn't have to worry about the leak every time it rains. My house have a "Florida room" attached to it, and it was leaking heavily, my insurance didn't cover it but we had a deal to use funds designated to fix the shed in my backyard to repair it instead. Long story short, a service crew came to my house on 06/25/2019, the goal was to complete the job I one day (house roof+florida room+gutters), by the end of the day they finished the shingle roof but didn't install the gutters nor fix the FR, I thought they will come back the next day but no one showed up, I had to call mike and ask him, he told they will the next day or the day after at max! From that point on, things started to get worse, I kept calling to see when the job is scheduled to finish, and kept getting the same unswer, "we're working on it"!! Up to this moment the job is not finished, a service crew of 2 people came on 07/11/19 to install gutters, for some reason they did the ones if front of the house but not the ones in the back! I called again and was told they're going to send someone to look at it after I sent pictures of how things looks. I have to mention that on 07/10/19 another crew came to fix the florida room metal roof, to discover that the repair will be costly and therefore decided not to do it! Like no one could've tell that from the beginning!
There's serious issues within this company especially the communication between their different departments, all this could've been avoidedif they were able to coordinate with each other. I have two friends that are looking to replace their roof and my initial thought was to refer AHC to them but i'm glad I didn't.
As a side note, the dumpster was left in front of my garage door for 5 days, and I had to endure the nasty smell due to food left over by the service crew, needless to say that I was begging for it to be picked up asap, which happened after 5 days only!

Desired Outcome

The job that was supposed to be done within 1 monthis now going over 4 months! I need my gutters installed in the the back, i also need to have a more experienced staff to take a second look at the florida room, and see if there is a possibility to fix the leak problem.

American Hero Construction Response • Jul 17, 2019

I want to thank the customer for allowing American Hero Construction Company to replace their roof. I also want to apologize for the communication problems the customer experienced. It many of our roofs replacements, there maybe requirements where we need support from a subcontractor. Under normal circumstances jobs are coordinated properly with our subcontractors and they arrive on time as scheduled. We have communicated with the customer and the installation has been scheduled for 7/18/19. For further communications regarding this matter. I can be reached at the contact information provided below.

Customer Response • Jul 24, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Progress have been made, the gutters were installed last week. Still waiting on the flashing to be scheduled though, I will remove my complaint in hope that they will finish the job within this week, if things doesn't move on soon I will have to submit my complaint again.

Refusing to start work. Non responsive.
They gave us a contract in April. We have went through the proper channels to secure funding. The checks have been sent and are ready for distribution once work has started per HUD department guidelines.

They originally held up starting for a document that was supposed to be completed for the FINAL payment, and they held up starting work to "figure" that out. it was a simple release that every contractor should be well aware of.

I have sent multiple emails, and phone calls. I cant seem to get them to start the work. They agreed to HUDS terms but are not starting the work. It's been over 2 weeks since last contact. When I asked to switch contractors due to the refusal or length of time its taken to get the repair started, they threaten contract break fees.

This is the main reason I am filing a complaint, that they wont start but threaten fines if I have someone else do it.

Desired Outcome

Prefer them to start work immediately and i'm seeking financial compensation or reimbursment for my time as they guarantee the Homeowner not having to deal with the insurance that they are supposed to handle, of which I have spent multiple days doing.

American Hero Construction Response • Jul 11, 2019

I want to thank the customer for bringing this issue to our attention. It's our goal to process our customer's claims for roof replacement as quickly as possible. In cases where there is a third party involved such as a mortgage company, the processing of documents and checks will add time to the overall claim period. As it relates to this customer, The General Manager has reached out to the customer as well as the mortgage company to expedite the administrative process. Once the process is completed at customer's mortgage company, we will schedule the installation at the first available date. For further information regarding this matter, I can be reached at the below contact information.

Customer Response • Jul 22, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They reached out the day of the complaint. But since then, it's been silence again. No contact. I want a signed letter of release from this company so we can get the roof repaired by a legitimate company.

American Hero Construction Response • Aug 21, 2019

Plesse be advised that we are scheduled to installed the new roof on August 30, 2019. We are currently awaiting HOA approval of the shingle color. The Homeowner knowledgeable and satisfied with the resolution and schedule.

American Hero Construction just finished my roof on Merritt Island , Fla. About 46 sq. I was apprehensive in the beginning. But I'll say this, as a former Contractor myself, these guys did great. On both ends of the deal , the negotiating and contracting and the strip and re-roof. They did what they said they would do. Everyone I encountered impressed me. Kevin M, John S, the crew Jeremy, Axel, Roberto and Roman. Jeremy is a good leader and craftsmen, he brought things to my attention to be addressed. he didn't have to , he could have cruised along and I would not have known the difference until years down the road, but he fixed them, and did a good job and informed of what he was doing. I appreciated that very much.
I had just poured a new driveway, wouldn't allow them to bring any big trucks on it. John and Kevin protected that driveway like it was theirs!
All contractors will have some negatives, even the best, it's what they do next that counts. I had no negatives with AHC! Gregg K

We were approached in February 2019 to have our roof assessed for hail damage through our insurance. This was appealing due to going through insurance and our roof was coming up to need repairs in the next few years anyways. We had a project manager who handled our roof and repairs. We started out with negotiations regarding the deductible. It was told to us, that we would supply two referrals, worth $500 a piece. We only went with this company due to this advantage. We were not in a position nor a need to pay the deductible. He assured us the deal was made. The roof was completely redone in 24 hours that same month. The next two months included a delayed inspection, failed inspection and then we received a passed inspection 4.5 months later. Within that time we had clogged gutters and a leaking patio roof. We had called and left voicemails for our project manager w no replies from anyone. Our second insurance check was void due to the delay. Finally someone reached out and we had two members of high management come to speak with us in person and assess. We came to find out our project manager was let go, the deductible deal he made with us did not exist and we were to pay that entire account balance. Imagine our dismay. This meeting occurred 2.5 weeks ago. Beginning of June. We were told the following week someone would be out to fix our gutters and we were to repair our patio roof as it was not damaged from their repairs. We just heard from someone today, 17 days later, and has a worker coming out in ANOTHER week. We are deciding to pay the insurance check balance of $2666 and not the deductible or previous check balance $1,000 + $948 Outside of complete lack of professionalism and follow through, we are in Florida summers with torrential downpours daily and have damaged gutters w no care to handle it in a timely matter. We have spoken with other reputable, high scoring Revdex.com companies about this situation and after consultation, feel the deductible was already promised to us and the $948 will cover the 4.5 month delay, damages and emotional havoc.

Great Experience! Project Manager Julio S. gave me three references to contact and all of them gave positives reviews. After receiving this information, I felt comfortable using them. Project Manager Julio S. answered all my questions and concerns making the process easier. The work was done in a timely fashion and the crew did an excellent job cleaning up and leaving no mess or debris. The roof looks great and I am very pleased. I would refer them to anyone needing a roof.

Company did a great job fixing my roof. Did great clean up after the completion of the work. Project coordinator José was especially attentive and responded quickly to my many phone calls. He made the completion of the job as painless as possible.

American Hero Construction Response • May 09, 2019

we understand there was subtle shade difference in bundle coming from different GAF factories. We are working with our supplier and GAF to rectify the situation. We apologized for inconvenience but we will rectify at earliest possible time.

Lack of response to leak repairs after completing roofing work; complaint is fully documented by photographs.

9-19-2018 Roof completed.

Late December 2018
Leak appeared around chimney. Water came through the ceiling of our screened porch and also in laundry room. Person (presumably a Hero employee) came out and did some type of work in chimney area.

April 19, 2019
Water leak around the chimney persists. After a late afternoon rainstorm, a water leak appeared again in the corner of the screened porch where the previous leak had been. It ran down the cinder block and pooled on the doormat.
Popcorn coating on porch ceiling was badly stained and damaged.

4-22-19

Hero's roof inspector arrived about 12:30 p.m. to inspect leak. Said shingles and underlying material on porch roof weren't installed properly and had raised/curled up in area where the house roof joined the garage roof. This allowed water to leak underneath shingles and come through corner of porch ceiling by sliding doors.
Inspector called Hero on his cell phone and informed someone of the situation. Said that Hero would remove and replace the entire porch roof and underlying material and do it over, making sure everything was laid and sealed right this time. Said Hero would call us soon to schedule the work.
Inspector returned later that afternoon with another employee believed to be Ricardo. They inspected the inside attic area around the chimney and said they would return the next day (Tuesday, April 23) at 1:00 p.m. or later to cut a hole in the corner of the porch ceiling to inspect the entire area, perform a water test on the roof, and identify the exact location(s) of the leak.

4-23-19

A Hero employee who spoke virtually no English arrived in a pickup truck. He asked me to read a message on his iPhone about a 'drip? in the ceiling. He cut out a square section in the corner of the porch ceiling in order to do a water test with a hose and pinpoint the leak(s).

4-24 and 25 2019

No one came to do the water test. I called the office on April 24 and was told that an employee would be out to do it that afternoon between 4:00 and 4:30. No one did.
I called again on April 25th and received a return call from an office employee and an answering machine message from another Hero employee stating he would show up sometime on the 25th. No show again. This has become an infuriating mess. I'm convinced these people will tell customers anything and not care whether they honor their commitments or not. In the meantime, I have had to postpone repairs by a drywall company to replace the damaged popcorn ceiling on the porch. (The cost will be paid by our home insurance company).

4-26 through 29 2019

No contact from Hero Construction.

Desired Outcome

Repair Correct this ongoing problem without delay. Identify location of all water leaks in connection with their roofing work. Repair leaks completely and correctly according to building codes and industry standards and procedures using all new materials. Keep homeowner fully informed and updated promptly by phone or e-mail about proposed repair work and any changes to their stated timetable and appointments.

American Hero Construction Response • Apr 30, 2019

In response to the customer's complaint regarding leaks to his roof, it has been determine by our field inspectors, that the leak is not coming from the roof. The leaks are coming from the brick chimney. The condition of the chimney prior to American Hero Construction performing any services was very poor and had not been maintained for years. (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Despite assurances by employee Ricardo and Project Manager Joshua ***, Hero still has not repaired the hole cut in the porch ceiling on 4-23-2019 to identify the source of the leak (see photo attached).
Phone conversation with Joshua *** on 5-6-2019 resulted in assurances but no corrective action or further contact from Hero.
Until Hero has repaired this gaping eyesore and made the surface suitable for painting, this complaint has not been resolved satisfactorily.
In the meantime, we have had to delay some refinishing work that we had scheduled, which has been a major inconvenience.

American Hero Construction Response • May 14, 2019

Talked with customer at 1:00 on 5/14/19 regarding his complaint. HO was upset that his interior damages had not be repaired. I was informed by our service team that they attempted to make the repairs twice during the week on May 6th, and on both occasions, no one was at the home. The serviceman is going to the customer's home tomorrow to complete the repairs. The customer was notified today with the repair schedule 5/15/19.

A Hero employee arrived on time on 5/15/19 and repaired this hole in the porch ceiling with a new piece of drywall that was blended in with the rest of the ceiling in both color and texture. I am fully satisfied with his work.

Great help getting me a roof with the insurance company.

Janet K, thanks for great review. We thrive to provide our customers with Top Notch customer service. again, thanks for the review.

I had American Hero re- roof my house on Mar 5, but they left one big area with different color making my roof having a whole big area with other color. I had called them out and showed them. The gentle man Kevin Mitchell told me it was dead valley, so they had to put big sheet under to prevent leak. I asked him that then they should lay the same color shingles on top to have the whole roof with same color. He promised that he would have his team come and lay same color shingles on top that area to have my roof with the same color, but for weeks they did not do anything. They told me by code that area had to be like that. I was not sure if they were out of shingles at that time and left my roof like that because I have not seen any house with dead valley been treated like what they have done to my roof. When I contacted him, he would said he would fixed for me, and not contact me back. I need help to get my roof fixed as they has promised to do.

American Hero Construction Response • Apr 03, 2019

On March 5th, 2019 American Hero Construction completed the re-roof The HO was concerned about a portion of the roof that is low pitch and required roll roofing to ensure that the installation was up to code requirements for low slope roofing installation. The homeowner preferred to have architectural shingles installed at that portion of the roof, for aesthetic purposes.

On March 25th American Hero Construction confirmed that roll roofing is required at the point of the house with the low slope.

After speaking with the homeowner about the roofing requirements for low slope roofs, even small portions, he understood why it was important. We agreed that the color of the roll roof is something that can be corrected, and scheduled to have the gray roll roof replaced with charcoal black.

The repair was scheduled for the morning of March 29th and was completed, The homeowner satisfaction. A follow-up call was placed on 4/3/19 and the homeowner again stated he was happy with the completed project
