I used services from this business in March It is now October Despite nine phone calls to this company, they have refused to send me an updated, accurate bill for their ambulance servicesMy insurance company sent them an Explanation of Benefits months ago, yet they continue to send me copy after copy of the inaccurate bill that does not reflect my insurance discountsEach time I call back, they act like they have no idea what I'm talking about and have never received information about my concernsThey also refuse to let me speak to the previous person that I've spoken to, meaning that months and months have elapsed without this billing issue being resolved, despite my diligent efforts to do soIt is absolutely ridiculous that I have to put forth so much effort to try to pay a bill

*** ** *** RE: Ambulance Transport
Revdex.com Case#: *** Dear Revdex.com: Thank you for taking the time to contact our office with the consumer’s concerns. American Medical Response values our customers, and strives to provide quality service American Medical Response filed a claim with the consumer’s insurance carrier for each transport and partial payment was received. On February 23, 2016, the consumer contacted our office and established a formal payment arrangement for the remaining balance due on each bill. Unfortunately, the consumer’s payments were less than the agreed upon amount. Several notices were mailed to the consumer; however, no further contact was received and the trips defaulted to collections on November 30, 2016. The following month, our office received contact from the consumer who was advised the account defaulted to collections due to not meeting the terms of the payment agreement, and not for an invalid address, which has been updated. At this time, the agency has confirmed there is no negative impact to the consumer’s credit. The consumer may continue to make payments directly to the agency Should the consumer have any further questions or concerns, I may be contacted directly at *** *** *** Sincerely, *** ***

My year old mother in law Catherine *** was transported from *** hospital in Edmonds WA July 7, to ** *** nursing home in Lake City WA somewhere in between her checking into the hospital and checking into ** *** - she is missing a ring that she has worn since her daughter purchased for her in - I have inquired with the lost and found departments and risk management of the hospital and nursing home to no availmy complaint is that AMR was used to transport mom on July 7th - I have called several names and numbers at AMR only to be ignored (requesting a call back) or told to call someone else - All I am trying to accomplish is to check in with AMR's lost and found department, and/or see if an inventory of her personal items was taken when she was in their care the last person I tried to contact at AMR (was told he was the lost and found department) is Mark ###-###-####, but he does not answer the phone or return my callsyour assistance would be appreciatedThank you

On August 29, I was transported in an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance in Las Vegas, NevadaI was uninsured at the time so on top of accruing medical debt to the hospital and the physician for ~$5,255, I also accrued debt to AMR for $Finding myself unemployed and with other outstanding student and personal debt, I qualified for Medicaid in October However, Medicaid was not able to cover my medical expenses from August
I petitioned for debt forgiveness/reduction to all of these companies, because I am a young college graduate that wanted to be responsible and proactive about my debt, but who also could not afford over $6,in medical debtI faxed a letter explaining my situation to AMR in November They mailed me a Compassionate Care application from the Modesto, CA office, and I filled it out but was notified in writing in December that my application had been deniedI researched online and found that I had days to petition AMR’s decisio

This is the letter I sent to my city administrator focused on their contract with AMRHi,
In the past couple years, my family has needed ambulance services twice, both of which has been American Medical ResponseI am grateful for the availability and the work they did to take care of my family needsFrom a responsiveness and care perspective I have no complaintsBut after the service, when it came to their billing practices, I find them to be less than honest, helpful, or even truthfulThere are a few issues I have with AMRI am lucky enough to have insurance that provides coverage for ambulance care, and although AMR fought it both times to the extent of months of me spending hours on the phone with AMR and my insurance, my insurance is in network with AMRWhat I find hard to believe is the difference in cost for in network and out of networkI know insurance contracts discounts with medical providers, I see it every time I go to the doctor, but as the cityMy original bill with AMR was over $both times, but after insurance is was less than $I am aghast you would contact with a company that charges more than times the negotiated rate with an insurance providerI don't understand why the city would agree to let their citizens be robbed by a company like thisMy second challenge with AMR is their customer service and billing practicesEven though my insurance company (the largest insurance company in the US) has an in-network contract with AMR, AMR refuses to believe it and forces me to work with my insurance company to prove itThe first time this happened it took over months and hours of phone time to convince AMR of what AMR should have in their records alreadyI've just started the process with AMR and my insurance company a second time and it is already playing out like it did the first timeAll AMR is interested in is getting social security numbers so they can file negative credit reports to force you to pay money you don't oweAMR is nothing more than a money focused company that is willing to bend ethical boundaries to try and extract more from the consumer with no regard for the truthI hope in the future when the city reassess ambulance contracts, they focus more on making sure the company reflects the values of the city and its citizens instead and commit to providing ethical billing practices (over 4x for people without insurance?) and doesn't lead with the assumption that everyone is guilty and forces us to prove our innocence

I was told to "get the *** out" of an ambulance after refusing service to an alternate Emergency RoomI called dispatch and they said it was vehicle that I was working with

I was in a car accident in October AMR took me miles to the hospitalThey were provided my car insurance information at the time of the accidentYet they sent me bill after bill asking for my insurance information and payment of I called them multiple times providing my car insurance information and requesting that they seek payment from the car insurance companyOn 2/9/I contacted AMR using the phone number given on the bill and asked to speak to a supervisor, but was told there was nothing that could be done due to the phone number on the bill only being a call center that collected paymentsI then contacted my insurance company on 2/9/My car insurance company stated that they had paid AMR on 12/16/via an electronic funds transferEFT transaction number *** in the amount of I was emailed a copy of the letter sent to AMR from my insurance company outlining the details of the payment transaction that had been made to AMRThe claims a

My daughter has a number of complex health issues and has unfortunately needed to have been transported to *** in Philadelphia It is very concerning that *** is contracting with AMR Mid Atlantic to provide transport services We have had trips provided by AMR Mid Atlantic - which were resolved with no issues and which have taken almost a year While I have paid the bills to avoid their threat to send to a collection agency, the secondary insurance (which is a medicare and says they have a contract with AMR) has been attempting to resolve this issue for almost months with no resolutionThe two bills in issue were billed as *** Non-Emergency even though they were an emergency and we would not have been able to transport our daughter on our own to *** The one that was process without any problems was billed as ***-Specialty Care - both were for the same situations

On June, my minor daughter was transported via an Ambulance operated by American Medical Response from *** *** Hospital in Las Vegas, NV to *** *** Hospital in Las Vegas Nevada Beginning on July, I started receiving phone calls from *** *** ***, a dept collection agency hired by American Medical Response
On July, I returned a missed phone call from ***, wherein I was informed that I had an outstanding bill from AMR that was sent to collections I immediately called AMR where I was told that my insurance information was missing and needed updated I provided the needed information, then asked the CS rep why I was never contacted by AMR directly concerning my bill She could not give an answer and transferred by to a supervisor
The customer service supervisor (Employee ID *** ) informed me that AMR had my correct contact information on file, and he was not sure why I was sent to collectionsThe supervisor ad

My insurance company paid full amount of dollars for my ambulance bill I was making monthly payments on the bill until my insurance paid the total bill I made a total payments of I have been calling this company for over weeks, and have been getting the runaround as to when my refund will be sent out I have been told by customer service reps that a advocate team member will call me but no one has ever called I have been told this about times The latest being today Oct 30, 9:AM, I am trying to be patient with this company but there call center is offshore and no one really wants to give you any information This is my last resort to get resolution or I have no choice to file a small claims case in court

I am a RN nursing supervisor who requested an ambulance on 7/8/to take a resident to buffalo general hospital because he was unresponsive and was not his usual talkative selfAMR ambulance arrived at approximately 2:pm at the waterfront healthcare facility located at 7th st buffalo, nyIt was a male EMT who questioned my credentials, by asking me what my title and background was and if I performed the SBAR stroke assessment and how I checked him for a strokeI have been a nurse for over years, with great experienceThis male EMT was very rude and disrespectful to me, he has no right to question my credentialsI performed a full RN assessment, and the doctor was notified and gave me orders to send this resident out to the ER because he was also a full code, and may be having a strokeIn NYS, EMT's has no authority to assess or make any determinations regarding if the resident should go to the hospital, I understand that AMR was busy, yesterday but all residents have

My son was in an accident, the paramedics who responded stood there and did nothing to help while his friends were seeing about himThey did not put a neck brace on him or even help him onto the stretcherThey were more concerned about what he was on (which was nothing) than helping himHe has fractures in his back and had emergency surgery to check for internal injuries

Received ambulatory service on Jul and billed $for that serviceThe company did not file a claim with Medicare or my secondary insurance company as I requested in a letter dated Aug
On their billing invoice, they make the statement "The transportation services provided are not a covered benefit of Medicare or you insurance company." I have a problem on two issues: 1) They are not the authority that determines my eligibility for a covered benefit and 2) they did not know who my insurance company was until I told them in the letter referenced above
Acceptance or refusal to cover a claim is described in the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) that I receive from Medicare and/or Tricare For Life I don't receive an EOB unless a claim is filed, hence my letter to American Medical Response

AMR has the absolute worst billing practices After only three months since the trip, got a letter for balance billing (which by the way is illegal in CA, AB72) We made calls to AMR, to health insurance, to try to get this all settledLess than one month later (mind you, less than four months now from trip), get a letter stating the balance is due within days or else it's going to collections Called AMR again to try to get this straighten out Requested more time to deal with health insurance, was told we could make a payment or else it's going to collections Had days to make a payment Made a payment of on day eight, which they received and cashed One week later got a letter from their collection agency demanding full payment or else a 7% per day interest would be added to the bill What I don't understand is AMR's billing practices How do you bill a patient and demand payment and send to collections in less than four months We all know dealing with insurance companies it takes more time than that And the calendar days is a joke That doesn't give you time to pay and account for the mail After calling AMR I was told the account was taken out of collections once the was received, yet I never received a letter, call, or updated billing statement from AMR The only thing I received was the collection letter Terrible billing practices, terrible communication Patient care really does end when they drop you off at the hospital Same on AMR! They are in the business of billing collecting, not patient care Trip No**SSN**9-

AMR sent multiple bills for the same ambulance tripThis trip was twice fully paid by meI went to my bank online and made copies of these two checks and they were all deposited by AMRI have called them at least four times and sent them a letter showing copies of these checks and have not heard back from from them for monthsThey owe us back the money for one of those checks

My wife has made numerous attempts for American Medical Response (AMR) to file their claim to our insurance companyI have documentation of the insurance card being faxed to AMR, the insurance card emailed to the collection agency (Kent Hollins Attorney at Law), and documentation from our insurance stating no claim was ever filledAMR representatives were told several times that our insurance will not accept the claim after months from the original date of serviceThe original date of service was on 2/19/AMR did not make the claim to my insurance therefore I should not be held responsible and the collection of the account should be voided
