I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
however, I strongly urge AMR to conduct a root cause analysis to find out why I was errantly sent to collections and to ensure such things do not happen again

I have received several fraudulent billing statements from American Medical Response and I have called them and the health Insurance company (Western Health Advantage) no less than times to resolve itHowever despite confirming to American Medical response several times the amount has been paid by the insurance they continue to send me the invoice stating that it was not settledThese numerous calls and verification of payment have been ignored when asked if they could call directly to the same insurance company that they had called before they said they could not call the insurance companyIf you ask for management to explain they tell you the phone line is bad and can not hear youAll of these call center people are in the Philippines and have the same answers despite evidence to the contraryThe only option left is to file a lawsuit costing the same amount as the invoice they continue to send you for 1,which is the same exact amount of the check paid by western health

I paid the bill for ambulance serviceI received another bill stating it was not paidIt took hours on phone for them to realize they took the money and paid another person's bill
Then, they had to refundIt's been months and the refund is still not processed
They couldn't put the money I paid to MY billThey had me send money again for my billThey STILL send me bills and can not find my paymentThis is the fourth month on the phone for an hour---'we have no record of your payment'
My bank says, 'Paid'I have to print and send them verification
I'm sure I'll get another bill next month
I'm only and can get online, do online bill pay, find the numbers, and am computer savvyWhat about my mom (94) and others? If they couldn't do all this scrambling around to show them 'I paid!!-again', the elders must be getting scammed!

I was rushed to the ER by ambulance in July by ambulanceI received a bill in August showing the insurance had not paid AMR anythingI contacted AMR and the insuranceMy insurance paid them in September I received a bill in the mail in October showing the insurance company paid themI contacted AMR and aksed why I still needed to make a paymentI was told their system was updating and the customer service representaive could not assist meI called back several times and got representatives not in the United States who kept reading from a script and not telling me why I had to payI began making payments monthly because I keep getting threatening letters as of 10/stating they will send me to collections because I must pay the full balanceI called again in December and a representive out of the country refused to transfer me to a United Sates represenatives that can understand meI continue to make one to two payments each month with no consideration

We are elderly and disabled persons and have received numerous unsolicited and unwanted calls from this organization and number We answer and they state they are with American Medical Response I asked them for their name and they say "***" When I ask what they want they either hang up or tell us it is none of our business I then state "Well then, stop calling us or else I will report you to the Revdex.com for telephone harassment which I am doing I called the number about minutes ago and the people at the company says that no one calls anyone I tell them that I am calling the same number that appears on our caller ID every time they call

I have spoken with American medical response different times to give them my insurance information I have received notices that they do not have my insurance information
Today is the last call I will make to them
The customer service is awful, in a different country, cannot get them to understand that I have called numerous times to give them my information
I will not pay a dime until they do what they need to do on their end

I was scheduled for surgery on june 22, and called AMR for transportation to and from the hospital - both to be on june I prepaid in advance via credit card
I received a bill from Nevada Medicar billing me for one of the tripsI called and informed them that there were two trips on the same day, and both were prepaidThey said that there was a payment record for the one trip but not for the second tripI received another like bill and again called with the same story
I then got a bill for trips for 6-22-I sent to them a copy of my credit card statement showing my billing of transports on 6-22-I received another notice billing me for trips on that date and again sent a copy of my credit card statement showing the billing
Today I received a pre collection notice for the one billing for 6-22-

This business was contacted by the hospital that I was a pt in to transfer me to another hospital about miles away They billed my insurance and because it was considered out of network they only paid a portion I attempted to work with them and they refused to assist me the charges were astronomical and can't be met Most health care facilities and providers will assist and write off significant amount of a bill they however wouldn't
I am complaining about the billing department and the way I was treated and the matter handled I would not recommend this business to anyone

I received a mailing from you dated 1/15/which I received on 1/24/stating that we had a service 12/6/which is true (Trip Number 826-***-01) No previous bill was received, and this one states "your account will be turned over to a collections agency which may adversely affect your credit score." I tried to call you at your provided number ###-###-#### on 1/24/and after almost an hour hung up, and called my insurance company *** *** *** They checked and said they had no billing from you (everyone else related to this has been paid in full) They said you were in-network and that they were responsible for 100% payment to you They asked if I would like them to handle this, and I said yes After minutes they contacted me back and said they could not spend anymore time trying to get in touch with you They said they would turn it over to another group that would get in touch with you Today 1/26/they left me a message and said they were will no longer try to get in touch with you because they cannot spend that many hours on it So I tried to call you and after being on hold for about minutes an answering service picked up and asked for my number for a call back I asked if you were closed, and they said no, you just had that many calls I gave her a detailed message to leave you which I am not sure you will receiveYour company has customer service issues that need to be resolved when it can impact a customer’s life due to your poor work performance and service My company could not service with this type customer relationship

On 03-11-My wife called an ambulance for me as I had a severe dog bite on my lower legONE ambulance was sent to our house for meWhile loading me the attendants notice a scratch on the back of one of my son's hands and asked him if he needed an ambulance alsoHe TOLD them no it was only a scratchThey loaded me and took me to the HospitalWe were fine with ONE bill for my service BUT, they sent a additional bill to my son for $and marked it as PATIENT REFUSAL for serviceWHY is he being sent a bill for this? NO additional ambulance was sent to our house for himIS this their practice of BILLING ?

AMR billed $for a mile ambulance and falsely claimed and billed us for a life support rideAMR further stated that because this was a call to urgent care for a ride to emergency care, this was ok to bill at this higher rateOur daughter was not transported in life support modeDid not even ware an oxygen maskAMR drivers had casual conversation, including "sin't this a panic attack about boys" My daughter was released cleared from ER in hours for a asthma attack

Being that the insurance company was incorrect inevitably meant the insurance information was incorrectThis bill arrives in the amount of $1,We immediately contact AMR and inform them of their mistakeMay- Our insurance company pays their max amount of $(After contacting insurance company was informed this is the standard amount paid for what was provided)8.May- We receive newly updated bill in the amount of $We again contact AMR for a detailed explanation of why these charges are so highThey explain to us they are not under contract with any insurance company, that they are a private company and can charge rates how they see fitAt this point we ask if there is any way to have the charges adjusted in order to have a bill that does not appear to be gouging a customerWe were immediately informed about their program to lower the bill if we did not make enough money (we would have to practically supply them with our taxes)We disagreed and requested that we negotiate and come to something we can both agree onWe were told there is no adjusting the prices, they are what they are, if I cant afford it they can help as long as I supply them all my financial infoAt this point we decided to point out how ridiculous their pricing wasCharge #- Base Rate $We asked what does the base rate coverWe were told it covers basic life support with the addition of oxygen, CPR, splinting, etc etcAt this point I asked why we were also being charge for the oxygen ($55.89) if it was covered under the base rateShe responded that oxygen was a separate chargeI then asked her to repeat what was covered under the base rate charge again, and again I was told "oxygen, CPR, splinting, basic life support needs"To which I asked again if oxygen was covered under the base rate why am I being charged for oxygen, to which she again replied, "if oxygen is used then it gets billed as a separate charge"At this point I could see we were going in a non-productive circleSo on to charge #Charge #- Mileage $Might I remind you we went miles!!!!! That's $15.53/miI began to point out I work on diesel vehicles and I am well aware of how egregious this pricing wasHere's the break down of how insulting this cost really isA Mid-Range engine in an ambulance type vehicle will get on the low end MPGThe mileage billed was miles, therefore gallons of fuelLet's round up diesel fuel to an even $3/galThat comes out to $Now it's not unheard of for a company to wrap a "usage" fee in to mileage or what might be called a "depreciation" costOn average a company will amount cents to cents per mile, so lets go on the high end againThat becomes $3.85/mi X gal = $that total cost comes out to cents LESS than what they charge PER MILE!!!!! At this point the lady decided to send me to Customer Advocacy and we agreedFast forward to today (14.Jun.2017) I called back to see if any progress had been made, I was informed non had been made but they will forward my dispute to Customer AdvocacyI'm pretty sure I'll get the same response I got last time they sent me to CA, which was noneSo for anyone looking in to using this company, I stress steer clearFind the OTHER ambulance waiting, I promise they wont be as bad as this company

I paid them time for one billThe first time on July 10,the second time after they sent me a threating letter saying they were going to take it from my checking accountAfter I sent the second on July 25,I looked in my checking and saw the first payment I madeI called them and they said they would refund one of the paymentsARM cashed the second one and have not refunded one of them

I keep receiving bills in the mail from AMR They don't have my last name on the bill, just first and middle name and are threatening to turn my account over to a collections agency "which may adversely affect your credit score."
The big problem is I've never had to use an ambulance in my life I've called them several times with no relief It looks and feels like a complete scam by this company
