I am rejecting this response because:His statements are partially incorrect. His statements about when I went to the shop and there warranty are correct. Even though those are correct I feel because both times the alignment was not completed properly, they should replace the tires that were ruined because of it. The incorrect statements are"According to his complaint he came back in May of 2018 after he replaced front in parts himself complaining of front end noise, we found upper control arm was loose, which he had have had to loosen to replace the stuts."The parts were replaced in December the day before they "fixed" the alignment they left loose on the right side in January. Also he talks about having to loosen the camber caster adjusting bolts to replace the struts this is also false, you do not loosen anything on the upper control arm to replace the struts on this vehicle. When they "fixed" there bad alignment in December they left one of the adjuster bolts loose on the left side causing the car to go way out of alignment and prematurely wear out the front tires.

Good morning [redacted], concerning case 12842806.  I was looking over complaint and the dates.  Our warranty for alignment is 3 months 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.  I read this that the original alignment was done at the Redlands store in 01/03/2017, and his first complaint...

was made at the  Rancho store approx. 11 months later according to his complaint..  His warranty was well over the allowed time to get done for free. According to his complaint he came back in May of 2018 after he replaced front in parts himself complaining of front end noise, we found upper control arm was loose, which he had have had to loosen to replace the stuts. We tightened the control arm and recommended another alignment. Now the time span is 1 year and six months..  If my statements are incorrect then please correct me, but his timing to bring in vehicle back in December 2017 was 7 months out of warranty… Sorry about the vagueness of my statement but I was not here when vehicle was brought in 2017. I am open to resolve this with a free alignment but a free tire seems like it was more his fault, than ours.. [redacted] MANAGER RANCHO CUCAMONGA #78 ###-###-####

Stanton location is the worst, I have 5 vehicles that are serviced by ATD, the last four times I visited this location has been the worst. They have more employees working the front desk then working the service area. The last two times we took our vehicle to this location for a oil change, it took over 4 hours, and told us it would be done within a hour. The front staff are rude and not helpful at all. everyone has a bad day, but this location is always having issues.

American Tire Depot in Huntington Beach, CA over inflated 4 new tires at 60 psi causing them to internally separate with one having a 11" side wall split! This was my wife's car with only 14,000 miles on the guaranteed 50,000 tires!! THEIR ACTION WAS CRIMINAL! I had a tire expert examine the tires stating that he never saw tires so bad and they were unsafe and dangerous!!
I told American Tire Depot management this and told them I was going to take them to court. Their response was - "Go ahead, you can't prove a thing!"

THIS STORE IS NOW UNDER NEW MANEGMENT SORRY FOR THE MISUNDERSTANDING I WOULD LIKE TO OFFER YOU A FREE OIL CHANGE AS A SHOW OF GOOD FAITH

This complaint is not for this store this complaint is for American Tire Depot on 1901 Prescott rd modesto ca 95350 so can you please contact them

Before I arrived I had a tire blow-out on me so I had replaced it with the donut. At ATD I asked for 2 new tires and the lifetime alignment.

I waited 3 hours for this service. On my way home I heard some tools banging around in my trunk. Once I arrived home I opened the trunk to find two tools laying there. Before arriving at ATD I had my tools in a secured container. The container and its contents were missing. So I drove back to the store.

I explained what I had found to the employee who told me to look under my tire. I went back out to my car, nothing. So I go back in and tell him it is not there. So he said he was going to find out who work on my car and see if he could figure out what was going on.

The second employee said they did not put it back in the car because they never took anything out of the car. A couple minutes later the first employee came back with the missing container and tools (including my jack) I was missing. The second guy walked out to my car with me to put my spare tire (donut) and the tools back properly.

Nothing had been put back in my trunk properly and the employee took 10 minutes to figure out how to put it together. He said it was a puzzle and he would figure it out. After he put it together he still kept one of my tools because he said if he cannot figure out how it fits right then it must not be mine. So they still have one tool I need in case my car needs to be towed.

That is terrible service. I waited too long, had to make a second trip back, watched the employee fumble around trying to figure out what he was doing, and then him keeping one of my tools because he could not figure out what to do with it. Now I need to go buy another tool in case my car ever needs to be towed.

I will not be going back and will not recommend ATD to anyone. Normally I get over bad service but not when I lose a tool and have to go buy another one.

Review: went to have 4 new tires put on and was falsely given the wrong size tires, which was taken care of. My issue is the damage to my dipped rims that American tire depot acknowledges they did while putting on the new tires. Company policy is to inform the customer the possibility of this happening and [redacted] the manager never disclosed that to me.. they issued me 139.99 but the lost is more than that.. There was also a road hazard charge that I was told at time of purchase that I had to have,,,LIE,,, I'd like that back too... I just want what I originally paid for because it needs to be replaced and I got a quote for that too....im asking that $184.54 be given back to me for this terrible service. that's including the 139.99 already returned. Thank youDesired Settlement: return 184.54 to my visa card...

Review: On July 17, I took my car to ATD (American Tire Depot) because I was told that I needed a new tire because one of my bearings was bad, the left front tire had been worn because of the bearing problem. When I got there I was told to see Ron, the manager, I did and he said he would get me a tire for 105.00, which then became 120.00. He charged me for labor and the bearing which totaled 300.00. I paid the 300.00 and asked for a receipt but he said that if he gave it to me it would mess something up in his computer because it was, in its current form a work order. I do have the bank charge to prove the payment. It was ready that same day, which I have no problem with. Upon picking up the car, he told me my radiator was bad, and that he would fix it and I could pay for it the next week. I believe he told me to bring it in the following Monday, which would be the 21st Additionally, he advised me to apply for a good year credit line of 500.00 through ATD, to pay for the work that was going to be done on my radiator. I didnt qualify for the credit. So we stuck with the plan of paying for it the following Friday. Unfortunately, the car was on the lot for 4 days. I was told that they ordered the wrong part 3 times, and so there was a delay in the repair. On July 25, I paid 180.00 for the radiator, also with a bank card, which is my proof, since he didnt give me a receipt. While the car sat on the lot for these 4 days, somebody had gone through all of my personal belongings in my car. Also, someone had run a personal check on me through another 2-3 different agencies that provide personal information about people. I thought this was kind of invasive.I drove the car for a day when I heard a rubbing sound in my water reservoir thinking that they put the reservoir back incorrectly, as it was rubbing against the engine and basically burning a hole at the top of the reservoir, from the constant rubbing motion against the engine, I Immediately I called him on his cell phone and he told me to bring it in again on the 28th, which left me without a car again for the entire weekend. I brought the car in as they suggested on the 28th, He told me that there was nothing wrong with how the reservoir was placed in the vehicle engine and that my motor mounts were bad. Ron stated that this was due to an oil leak that he says he previously told me about, I told him that he didnt mention anything like that to me, he said he did and that I didnt remember, but really with all the constant car problems, I was being told that were going on, I think that I wouldve remembered. Regardless, he said he would fix my motor mounts for 500.00. I had no choice, I needed my vehicle. Again, he stated I could pay him the following week. I picked the car up on July 29 from the motor mounts being repaired. Again, I drove my car for about a day when I realized that there was water pouring out of the reservoir from the bottom. I would think that when they fixed the radiator and the motor mounts, especially since one of my complaints was the reservoir, and from my stating that the reservoir was rubbing against the engine that somewhere in the mix of all this, youd think maybe they would replace the reservoir, but they didnt and again no car.Today, 08/04/14 I had to pick my son up in Long Beach, the reservoir was pouring out water, still, so I called Ron again and he said it should be fine. Also I couldnt get the radiator cap off to find out if there was at least anti-freeze in the radiator, Ron said dont mess with it. My friends husband got the cap off and there was anti-freeze in the radiator. According to Ron, it should be fine, so I drove to pick up my son in Long Beach from Orange County. By the time I got to Long Beach my car had overheated and I couldnt drive it back home. I was going to tow it, but it was going to cost 140.00 so I waited until I could get a hose and filled the reservoir and made it back home. I am a mother of 3 kids, who is in the midst of having to work with Victim Protection Program to get away from a severely abusive situation. So its hard for me to give out my exact location but you can contact me via telephone @ ###-###-####, or my email [redacted].My issue is I dont understand why every time I took my car in something else was wrong, I dont understand why through all of this they never replaced my reservoir, and I honestly believe the person working on my car did not know what he was doing, and was the cause of the constant car problems. I have no problem paying for what work was done. I believe that some of these problems originate out of their incompetency, and that I should not be financially responsible for the problems caused by them. I would like all of the appropriate agencies to step in and get to the bottom of this. I have pictures and videos of the reservoir leaking. I am also going to have a trustworthy mechanic look at it, but to be honest, there was a radiator leak, and a bad tire and bearing, the rest I believe was because of their incompetency, I want the cost of me having to replace the reservoir and also, the cost of my motor mounts, because I had no problem with them before. Thanks for your time.[redacted]###-###-####Desired Settlement: I want the issue closed out, while I move forward with a new mechanic to repair the problems that were caused by them. The new mechanic will cost me money, therefore I want the $500 that they think I owe them for messing up my car, to be considered paid. I also want them to not run any further inquiries into my personal life. To date, I have paid these guys $480 my loss of wages further exceed that amount. I also want the invoices and old parts. I believe I am being very fair

Review: I have done business with this company before, they provided tires for my car. The company offers a lifetime guarantee. After 2 months of having my tires changed, I had to go back because the two front tires were losing air quiet rapidly. I dropped of my car at 11 AM on a Sunday. The customer service representative told me to come back at 4 PM. And everything should be done. I got a call from this specific representative at 3'50 PM, telling me they could not fix my tires because they needed a nut bolt, that it was in my trunk. Apparently they couldn't open the trunk or didn't even bother to. I called them back and explained that the but bolts where in my trunk and that I was already on my way, they said that they would only take 15 minutes to get the job done. I got there, the tires where not fixed, I had to wait an additional 45 minutes, the representative had an attitude, not polite at all and even told me he was suppose to be home an hour ago. When they finally gave me car, I drove for about 1 block and I heard cranking and banging, something I had never heard before. I took it back, so they can tell me what was wrong, they were closed. I took it home, told my husband, he checked it out. As it turns out American Tire Depot broke a part of the shock in my car. I called them and took the car in the next day, they denied any damage saying that part was bound to break because my car is old. I didn't leave them a broken car, but they returned a broken car. They refuse to pay for the damage, refuse to admit to their faults and even kept a nut bolt for my car. I spoke to the manager and he was no help either, only offering me a discount of $200 to fix what his company broke! My husband was able to fix it for only $50.Desired Settlement: I would like for the money to be refunded that was use for the new part, as well as my nut bolt.

Response:

Mrs. [redacted] dropped off her vehicle for flat tire repairs. She had no wheel lock key to remove the wheels from the vehicle. We were able to do that for her, we repaired her flat tires free of charge. When we lifted this vehicle for this repair the left front strut bearing cap came apart allowing the strut to fall into the wheel well. She demanded our shop to replace this part. The other side was also broken but didn't fall into the wheel well at that time. This vehicle is in very poor condition with needed repairs. This is not our responsibility, I offered to fix this at a discounted price to satisfy her. Her husband wouldn't be able to fix this properly for $50.00 the parts are more than that. He wired this back together the last conversation I had with her. While I want to do the right thing and to keep good faith with any of our customers we are willing to fix this vehicle properly but we cannot fix it free as it wasn't our fault. I can be reached at ###-###-#### Monday thru Saturday for any assistance I can be. Thank you [redacted]

Response:

Company states: We are willing to work with the customer. If she wants it for $75.00 then it is a done deal. I don't think we did anything wrong. Unfortunately, we picked up the car the strut fell out. She can't make me responsible for everything wrong with this car. What I cannot do is replace everything and fix all the new issues that arise. The bad mouthing has to stop.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: They are flat out lying. I had a wheel lock key that was in the trunk of my car, which they didn't even bother looking in my trunk or they would have found it. If I didn't have a lock key, how would they have been able to take the locks off. My car is a Mercedes and no other car lock keys work. I let them know the key lock was in my trunk.

Review: I purchased tires from this company while we were on vacation due to vibration on trip down from old tires. We were sold a Road Hazard Warranty for $40.00 additional dollars. They were not sure if it would work in Nebraska and we were told if it didn't work they would refund our money. Contacted them about a week afterwards finding out this Road Hazard Warranty would not work here and spoke to a [redacted]? who said he would refund out money back to our credit card. Month and a half later still nothing. Spoke to [redacted] again and he said it should have been put on there 3 weeks ago. I thought I might see it on next statement and still nothing. Now approaching 3 months and have yet to see this refund back to my credit card.Desired Settlement: Want my $40 refunded back to my credit card as they promised they would do
