Again, This isn't acceptable to me. You reached out in all fairness to have the person who left the review respond and she did NOT respond to your request. I don't see how after making an attempt to reach her to fix the situation or to indeed find out if it was a review for our company and NO response was given how the "F" can stay.  Also, we have an issue with how we are categorized on AL. We LEGALLY changed our name over a year ago and NO longer perform Handyman Services. Yet, when you look us up we come up under Handyman and when someone leaves a review there is a default checked off "handyman" we have spoke to our representative and neither of these issues can be resolved on AL's end. If we changed our name legally and do not perform handyman services anymore doesn't make sense that our category can be changed? So, if I have to submit a separate complaint for this issue I will. We spend over 11K with AL on a yearly basis and we are NOT in the proper category and we have no recourse to fight an "F" when you can't get a hold of the person for evidence. Again not acceptable. I believe in fairness to all not to just AL members. We should have some type of recourse or there should be a process in place and if the person that left the review doesn't respond then it should be removed. I do not accept the response by AL.

by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have given Angie's List staffers ample amount of opportunity to resolve my concerns but they can't even have a manager call me back.  Someone who handles account closing was very rude, disrespectful, and he was laughing at me when he said that they are going to charge me $1000 to cancel. This company is a scam, I have yet to get any ROI. I want a full refund. End of story.

I am not satisfied with this resolution for the following reason:My personal contact information still resides in Angie's List DATABASE as it appears here: http://www.angieslist.com[redacted]This is is a direct link to what still exists in their database. regarding complaints filed against our company.    I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms. [redacted] for the poor experience she mentions regarding her Big Deal refund request. The representative she initially communicated with was correct to offer assistance prior to issuing her refund outside of our 30 Day Refund Guarantee and provided information regarding potential next steps to avoid a refund.  It appears that there may have been some confusion regarding the 30 Day Refund Guarantee and the options available to Ms. [redacted].  Ms. [redacted] was not outright denied a refund for her purchase.  Angie’s List wants to offer other options prior to moving forward with the refund.   Ms. [redacted] provided great feedback on her interaction with the company she purchased her eCommerce offer though.  The information provided suffices for an exception to the 30 Day Refund Guarantee.  A refund was an option, however Ms. [redacted] indicated that she still needed the work performed for the service she purchased.  After reviewing Ms. [redacted]’s interaction, the email correspondence with the representative she was working with may not have clearly presented this information to Ms. [redacted].  I have notified this representative’s manager to provide coaching to prevent this from happening in the future.   Unfortunately, Ms. [redacted] has elected to initiate a dispute with her credit card company, which puts a freeze on the funds paid to Angie’s List until her credit card company has completed their dispute process.  I would have processed Ms. [redacted]’s refund, however I cannot move forward with the refund now that the dispute with her credit card company is in process.  If Ms. [redacted] lifts the dispute with her credit card company and reaches out, I would be happy to work with our Accounting Department to issue her refund.   I would also like to apologize for any confusion regarding advertising service providers on Angie’s List.  The companies that advertise with Angie’s List are not sorted by the amount of money they pay for their advertisements.  Companies and Angie’s List enter into agreements that are going to work best for a company’s marketing needs.  Advertised companies will be listed above non-advertising companies, however they amount of money paid does not determine their positioning on the list with other advertisers.    I have personally attempted to contact Ms. [redacted] to work to resolve her concerns.  I have provided my contact information to Ms. [redacted].  Should Ms. [redacted] wish to provide additional feedback and seek assistance in resolving her request, she may contact me directly for assistance.   I find it regrettable that we left Ms. [redacted] feeling she had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.com. We strive to provide top-notch service to our members. We would have happily reviewed the situation and addressed Ms. [redacted]’s concerns had she continued to communicate with us.   Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Please let me know if we can provide any further information.   Kind regards,   Jesse M[redacted] Angie’s List

Complaint Case # [redacted]   Peggy,   Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company.    I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms. [redacted] for any frustration or confusion regarding her membership.   Ms. [redacted] chatted with Angie’s List on 9/14/2016.  Initially, Ms. [redacted] requested to cancel her membership and receive a refund.  During the chat, the representative assisting Ms. [redacted] assisted by providing a list of service providers and offering to take a review for Ms. [redacted].  The cancellation request was thought to be resolved and Ms. [redacted] never confirmed her wish to continue with the cancellation.    With that being said, Angie’s List has resolved Ms. [redacted]’s request.  I have processed the refund for Ms. [redacted]’s most recent membership renewal in the amount of $24.99 back to her PayPal account.   I find it regrettable that we left Ms. [redacted] feeling she had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.com. We strive to provide top-notch service to our members.   Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Please let me know if we can provide any further information.    Kind regards,     Jesse M[redacted] Angie’s List

The representative she initially communicated with was correct to deny her refund outside of our 30 Day Refund Guarantee and provided great information regarding her next steps, but it appears that there may have been some confusion when Ms. [redacted] contacted us a second time to purchase her replacement deal with the company she ended up using for her services.  She was advised that the deal was not available.  Due to this confusion, I have processed the refund back to Ms. [redacted]’s PayPal account.  I have followed up with the representative’s managers for additional coaching.  I have had a supervisor with our eCommerce Department, Jesse M[redacted], email Ms. [redacted] to provide his contact information – if there’s anything else Jesse M[redacted] can do to help personally, he has offered his services.   I find it regrettable that we left Ms. [redacted] feeling she had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.com. We strive to provide top-notch service to our members, and though it seems there was a real error on our part here, we would have happily reviewed the situation and addressed the error if Ms. [redacted] had continued to communicate with us.   Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. company.  I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr. [redacted] for the frustration that this process has caused. I also apologize for the poor customer service that Mr. [redacted] received in the form of multiple review reconfirmation requests within a short period.Angie’s List allows consumers to post comments regarding experiences they have had with area companies.  Angie’s List is a passive conduit for these comments, meaning the content is wholly supplied by our consumer members.  Members are required to attest to the review confirmation statement before submitting each review.  Without that unique attestation accompanying a review, it cannot be submitted to the website.  Assuming that our members are willing to attest to the truthfulness of each report, we allow positive and negative reports to be submitted to our forum.  We do have processes in place if a company notifies us that they do not recognize the name and address of a member associated with a review on their company.  We will reach out to the member that submitted the review in an attempt to confirm that review at the request of the service provider. The only reason that we temporarily removed Mr. [redacted]’s review was because in his response to our request, he mentioned “I will check my records and get back to you.”  Typically members stating this are expressing uncertainty about which company they called.  Prior to my response to this complaint, Mr. [redacted] wrote back to confirm his review, and it was restored.Angie’s List memberships are backed by a satisfaction, money-back guarantee. As requested, I have refunded the full cost of his membership, $29.00, back to his credit card. The refund was immediate on our end, but it may take a few business days to post to Mr. [redacted]’s account. As a courtesy, I have left Mr. [redacted]’s account active.  Future renewals have been canceled unless Mr. [redacted] manually chooses to continue using our service.I find it regrettable that we left Mr. [redacted] feeling he had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.com. We strive to provide top-notch service to our members. It is clear from the tone of this complaint that we missed the mark, and I apologize for that.  I hope that with this explanation and apology, Mr. [redacted] sees fit to continue his membership with us, and give us the chance to improve his perception of our company.  Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Please let me know if we can provide any further information.  Kind regards, [redacted]Angie’s List

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is a response to Angieslists response to my initial complaint three years ago Angieslist started collecting 100% of the sales of their advertised check up program that they send to their customers via the," Big Deal Program". I informed them they could not collect a 100% of the sale of this coupon and not open the door to having their customers being scammed by bate and switch contractors considering the contractor advertised to perform these check ups would be preforming them for free. I also informed them I had been in the this business for 14 years and in my experience 80 to 90% of the time my customers didn't require anything in most case's. You cant send out a tech for 20 to 26 dollars an hour pay their work comp and insurance and not make anything unless you were taking advantage of their customers.A fellow contractor informed me today that they quoted him 1500 dollars a month to be with the first 15 contractors on the front page. They also ran a fradualant ad on Angieslist's ,°Big Deal Program," that advertises a bate and switch price exceeding what it would cost to install that ac unit that they advertised for my competitor knowingly, considering I informed them of this fact at the beginning of the season. They sent out to 42000 customers in Las Vegas, advertising something I informed them the contractor who suggested it could not make a profit. And I also repeatedly informed them of this fact and they continued running the advertisement. Angieslist list advertises they protect the consumer but after I informed them of this fact they continued forward with this deceptive ad.Today a contractor I know called me and asked me how much I paid to be on the front page and. Angieslist quoted him it would cost him 1500 dollars a month to advertise in the first 15 spots in his category of Air Conditioning,if Angieslist is collecting 100% of an advertisement how would they recoup their cost!!!!Angieslist has abandoned their so called pledge of looking out for the customer and has dived headlong into consumer un protection practices In regards to that they purport to protect their members. And for the response I received earlier, too the employee that sent me a response, I think his name was %\**-= something;'Angieslist is asking and expecting too much in regards to advertising price, and as Angieslist looses more and more customers due to their over pricing practices and you answer me me in such a smug robotic way, I look forward to the day when they start cutting staff because because of your answer and your outlandish pricing model, your going to be on the un employment line and I believe you wont be able to figure out why. I want compensation for my 762 dollars a month that rye Payed your company and want my money back considering I'm dealing with a company that's not what it was when I first started with them, reputable and honest!!!! I want the 20,000 dollars ive payed you over the past 3 years that you have been seeking out to the contractor willing to pay the most!!!Regards,

Once again Angie's List has a problem with saying one thing but doing another:1) When I first called to cancel my membership with Angie's List, I was told by Logan that I would receive my money back ($58.00) plus 10% under Angie's List 110% money back satisfaction guarantee. Now Angie's List says I will only get a fraction of my money back plus 10%.2) Even after stating in the response to my Revdex.com complaint I would receive a check for $11.60 plus 10%, I have only received a check for $11.60.  It did NOT include the 10% as promised.Angie's List needs to keep their word and refund my money ($58.00) plus 10% ($5.80) as they promised when I purchased their service.

[redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted]   [redacted]   Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to again give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company.  I apologize for the delay in my response.   I first wanted to apologize to [redacted] for any frustration or confusion he has experienced during the sale or duration of his advertisement.   Our stance on this matter has not changed from the time this complaint has been filed to now. [redacted] has been in contact with Sarah Bales, an ecommerce representative with Angie’s List. Any future business with [redacted] depends on whether or not an advertising agreement can be reached that makes sense for both parties involved. At this time, we do not consider this a Revdex.com matter.   In short, I sincerely apologize that this customer is disappointed with their experience with Angie’s List. We strive to provide top-notch customer service.   Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Please let me know if we can provide any further information.    Kind regards,       Jesse [redacted] Angie’s List

our company.  On 4/2/15, Mr. [redacted] agreed to advertise with Angie’s List for one year per the attached agreement.  We require each prospective advertiser to sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these services. Each contract includes a standard cancellation fee of 35% of the remaining balance of the agreement.   Mr. [redacted] did request to cancel his advertising on 4/8/15 and he was sent an email stating that he would be receiving a refund of $3235.83.  This was not taking the cancellation fee in to account.  Because of this, we are waiving the cancellation fee and have refunded the difference of $1,196.71.   Additionally, I apologize for any lack of communication on Angie’s List part during this process. This is being addressed. We strive to provide top notch customer service to service providers and regret that Mr. [redacted] was disappointed with his experience with Angie’s List.      Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. company.I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr. Miller for the frustrations that he has endured. I also apologize, but I was unable to locate an active membership based on the contact information provided with this complaint. complaints filed against our company.    I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr. [redacted] for any confusion regarding his membership.   Mr. [redacted] initially joined Angie’s List on 6/19/2013. Mr. [redacted] has not contacted Angie’s List to request a cancellation that I was able to find.  Currently, Angie’s List does not provide refunds for automatically renewed memberships beyond 30 days of the renewal.    With that being said, I am unable to process Mr. [redacted]’s refund of $26.00 due to the multiple disputes he made through PayPal and Discover.  Once an investigation into a charge is started, the funds are frozen until all claims have settled.  Mr. [redacted] will have to wait until his financial institutions have dropped all claims to be eligible for any type of refund.   Angie’s List seeks to offer top-notch customer service.  I apologize that we left Mr. [redacted] feeling that he had no other option than to contact the Revdex.com.   Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. regarding complaints filed against our company.    I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms. [redacted] for the poor experience in pursuit of her Big Deal purchase. According to our records, Ms. [redacted] contacted us on 6/22/2016 to ask for assistance with the purchase of a recently expired Big Deal offer. Ms. [redacted] was being offering assistance by a supervisor to help with any issues experienced with the deal purchase and to clarify our abilities to purchase the expired offer. Our representative was told by Ms. [redacted] that she had an incoming call that had to be taken, and Ms. [redacted] disconnected the phone call.  Ms. [redacted] did not reach back out for further assistance.   I would like to point out that Ms. [redacted] is not a member of Angie’s List.  Ms. [redacted] was calling on behalf of her employer and was attempting to purchase this Big Deal offer through her employer’s membership on behalf of a client that her employer was working with. This type of purchase is against Angie’s List company policy for our eCommerce programs.  The client would need a membership to purchase any deals for work at their home and receive the discounted service that is only meant to benefit Angie’s List members.  Ms. [redacted] and her employer would be considered to be ‘List Sharing’, which is a violation of the ‘Membership Agreement’ her employer agreed to uphold when joining as a member.   Angie’s List will not be able to offer this expired Big Deal offer to purchase to Ms. [redacted], as the contract governing the offer is with the service provider.  The service provider dictates the deal availability, not Angie’s List.   I find it regrettable that we left Ms. [redacted] feeling she had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.com. We strive to provide top-notch service to our members. It is clear from the tone of this complaint that we missed the mark, and I apologize for that.     Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Please let me know if we can provide any further information.    Kind regards,       Jesse B[redacted] Angie’s List

I accept the full refund.  Also I asked for someone to call me because no one responded to my email request.  I understand that my level of membership only has email help available but when no is responding to my emails then I tried another avenue.   [redacted]

regarding complaints filed against our company.  I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr. [redacted] for the frustration this process has caused.  Mr. [redacted] purchased an offer from the company [redacted] on April 13, 2015.  Mr. [redacted] did speak with supervisor, Conor regarding his concerns.  Conor did not lie to Mr. [redacted].  Conor explained that there is a team that handles any questions regarding refunds related to offers purchased through Angie’s List. Conor forwarded information to that team immediatelyfollowing his conversation with Mr. [redacted].   Mr. [redacted]’s refund was handled on 4/22/15.   I find it regrettable that we left Mr. [redacted] feeling he had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.com.
