I have a membership that includes annual maintenance, which was just performed The service guy, [redacted] ***, was curteous, efficient, and respectful of my property I have no complaints about Calvert (soon to be One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning)

Calvert, now One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning installed a Trane Furnace and followed all manufacturers installation requirementsWe are trying to secure an appointment with this customer to evaluate the exhaust pipes to ensure that it meets all specifications If the failure of her motor is related to the installation, we will make sure that Ms [redacted] is satisfied

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below 06/29/To Revdex.com of Delaware: I am very disturbed by how hour heating misrepresented the facts about what happened at my house and with the attitude they have regarding this matterAfter I reported the incident to Revdex.com, [redacted] from hour heating tried to reach me on Saturday June 13th and left a message to call him backI did call back the same day but did not catch his name in the message and could not exactly tell who called meThe customer service lady tried to check who initiated the call but could not identify the person [redacted] eventually called me back on Tuesday, June 16thHe maintained the attitude that he trusts his people and he is convinced that I have a leak on my system I actually consulted several service technicians about the possibility of a refrigerant leak happening shortly after tech performed a tune up and everybody’s opinion was that this should not have happenedI went further and had a tech from another company perform a leak test and fill in refrigerant No leak was found in my system and my air-conditioning is working well after a refill [redacted] got really upset when I told him about the test and said that he will return the fee they charged me on June 12thHe also asked me if I would call him back in 4-weeks when my air-conditioning stops working since he is still convinced that I had a slow leak! I did receive uncashed check few days ago from them; so to say that they did not try to charge me a service fee is incorrect and misleading I obviously will not ever consider hour heating servicing my central air again, but this could happen to other customers and this company is not taking responsibility for the mistakes they makeBeing rude to your customers and trying to misrepresent facts is unacceptable I have no intention pursuing this further, but I wanted to submit my response to their letter for the record I am also attaching the original receipt and copy of the check for the service fee I received back from them [redacted] ***

Summary: Calvert installed a new heat pump for the [redacted] on 2/23/which included a year parts and warranty through a third party The third party warranty company filed for bankruptcy October Calvert continues to honor warranty at no charge to the [redacted] as per original contract Some significant repairs occurred resulting in the replacement of a Compressor and reversing valve along with some minor repairs including a circuit board and refrigerant leakIn the final year of the warranty, the [redacted] placed at least service calls which started with a thermostat that was installed by Delmarva Power being wired incorrectly We should have billed [redacted] for this service, however we waived this charge and the many more afterwards Next service was for a filter, again not warranty, however the fee was waived One of my technician’s diagnosed a possible leak in the system, however one cannot be foundThis spooks Mr [redacted] because he is concerned, (as I would be in his shoes), that the leak will be discovered after the warranty expires and he would be stuck with the bill We agreed to do a second search for the leak towards the end of the warranty, and at that time did indeed find a leak on the evaporatorThe evaporator was subsequently replaced against Mr***’s objection After years and months he demanded the entire system, indoor and out, be replaced Several days later [redacted] complained that the system continues to run non-stop We dispatched a technician who discovered no problems and the system is operating to specification They called back next day with the same problem We again dispatch tech who discovered that the Delmarva thermostat, (not our device) has failed and certain situations continues to operate the electric heat after the heat pump shuts down Mr [redacted] demands we replace the thermostat under warranty It is not Calvert’s stat so we quote $(approx) for a new thermostat Calvert is proverbially thrown from the house Mr [redacted] calls two days later system still not working I send my senior tech, 30+ years of experience, he discovers that the system is operating at factory specs and that a new thermostat has been installed by somebody else [redacted] calls again next day and says system still does not work At this point I email [redacted] that we are at an impasse and there is nothing left we can do I inform him we are not coming anymore [redacted] calls another service company and they proclaim the unit has a bad defrost board [redacted] informs me that he had the board replaced and expects Calvert to repay him for the costs Calvert hesitates as the board described is less than a year old and the failure of the board does not fit the symptoms described [redacted] files the complaint with DOJ / CPU [redacted] emails again yesterday says unit is still not working Demands we come check it outOpinion: The unit is a month or shy of years old US Dept of Energy predicts the life span of a heat pump is only years and as such, Mr***’s system is reaching the end of its useful life and certain components are prone to failThis system has had more than its share of problems but Calvert has stood behind the bankrupt warranty company and Mr [redacted] has not had to come out of pocket for anythingMr [redacted] states he has higher than electric bill and he wants reimbursement from us I think the electric bills are a result of the Delmarva thermostat and not anything on our part Obviously the repair Mr [redacted] had the other company make did not work because he has since tried to place another service call with Calvert As stated earlier, the symptoms described would not have been cured by the repair made In Closing: Calvert has no problem honoring the warranty on legitimate service problems on the equipment and parts that we are responsible for We can’t however make needless trips out every couple of days confirm nothing is wrong

I am following up with you regarding a concern raised by a customer of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning The issue was assigned an ID number of [redacted] This was the first that we had heard of Mr [redacted] ’s complaint Our technician was at the customer’s home on May 28, and identified legitimate repairs that he diagnosed as being needed on the equipment There is no quote for $that is noted in our systemThe customer has stated that a competitor did do repairs under the Trane warrantee which our company would have done as well From this vantage point, I believe that the competitor may have done the needed repairs under the manufacturer’s warrantee and slandered our organization to the customerAs a reputable company that has been successfully serving our community for over years, we will refund Mr [redacted] his $diagnosis fee as a courtesy to him Our technicians are trained to the highest level and approach every service scenario with the upmost level of integrityWe will reach out to Mr [redacted] to assure him that we approached his repair scenario appropriately and that we are sorry that he has been directed to believe otherwiseIf you have any further questions, please contact me directly at [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning

My family had a technician from One hour HVAC come to evaluate and repair our heater He was there for an hour and quoted the repairs would come be quite expensive (nearing $1000) and that we should replace the entire unit After setting a separate meeting with a sales man who urged us to purchase an expensive new system, we opted to get a second bid The competitor arrived and asked if we would permit their technician to just take a look free of charge before discussing the cost of a new heater The new technician looked at the system for less than minutes and determined it was a simple fix- parts $+labor The actions of the One Hour technician resulted in my family being without heat for two days during extremely cold weather and potentially could of have cost us over $ I would strongly urge anyone dealing with this company to get a second opinion before agreeing to any services provided

Did a great job installing our new heating system They were on time, polite, and informative The experience was very positive

This company installed a furnace/heat pump combo for me and I was very happy with their servicePrice was reasonable, very prompt and professional, cleaned up after installation and were very nice at followup on questions I had about the new thermostat

Professional, Knowledgeable, Friendly was Jim !!! He completed the service quickly and clean I noted that the when the heater starts up it makes a noise, then after a little while running it would calm downHe said he would make a few adjustments to resolve the problem The problem is resolved, its very quite now Jim is Great !!

Annual system maintenance performedHeater mechanic was on time, polite, professional, and very knowledgeableHe left the work area clean and in orderHe was receptive to my inputI also asked him to correct some particular items and he did so promptly, no need for a follvisit With other companies I've had some poor experience where they send out techs who have basic knowledge and I had little confidence the job was done correctly and completely

** *** In reference to this complaint, here are the details. We went out to clean this year old oil burner as we were asked to
do. We did a thorough cleaning and replaced the oil filter, oil pump strainer and oil nozzle. We highlighted issues with the system related to age and explained that the inducer fan blades were hitting the burner body. This was explained to the customer and repairs were quoted but refused by the customer. The customer called back and when we investigated, we diagnosed a cracked combustion chamber and provided a quote. The customer did not want to spend any money on repairs on a year old system that contains rust in areas. According to EnergyStar.gov this type of system has an average life expectancy of years. We did provide repair quotes that were declined and we did provide a replacement quote which was also declined. Our $fee for the oil burner cleaning and diagnosis of problems of their system are legitimate We would gladly apply the $to a system replacement if this customer choses to do so Thank you, *** ***

We had our central air yearly examination completed today by Hai from One Hour
He was on time, efficient, and did a thorough job cleaning the ducts and the unit
He also explained any upgrades we might consider and also explained the reasoning behind those suggestions
He has also helped us in the past with our Oil Burner serviceIn fact, we ask for Hai when we need any service s performed on either the A/C or our Burner

My furnace died on the coldest day of the year with an impending snow storm Entire team at One Hour (previously Calvert) was fantastic The technicians worked in to the night to get the heat on They came back at a later date and finished everything up even with not so ideal weather conditions Technicians were courteous, knowledgeable, and true professionals Paul B, Joe P, Joe O, Brian, and Barry were all fantastic and truly a pleasure to work with Would not hesitate to have any of them back Alex the sales person was a pleasure to deal with as well The company was there and came through when I needed them

My name is ***, this company is very bad , I have a service plan with them and in the contract it says 24/services , in the middle of degrees weather my central air conditioning went off, I have two kids so you can imagineI call this guys around 6:45pm on Thursday 07/14/, the customer service from Phoenix AZ , told me he as call people from this Delaware franchise and no one was picking up the phone, so he will put me in for tomorrow so I said ok , so he did Friday 07/16/I call the franchise location in Delaware, I spoke to a lady name Barbra , around 8:am she told me they are very busy so when a technician become available they will send him to my house, I called her about timesSomeone finally called me around 4:50pmThe technician arrived at my house, he saw how hot my house was , he went to the basement , about half hour later he said is the fan , the blower motor is defectedThey told me their technicians have parts in a he Vans , this technician told me he had one but he used it before he arrived at my house, so I asked him can I drive to homedepot and buy you one? He told me they don't sell them at homedepot , so he will give me a price so they can fit me in their busy schedule tomorrow that will be 7/16/So I immediately went to the homedepot website, and show it to him and I said no they have it , he said oh is a wrong part, so I requested the part number, he told me he doesn't have it because he put the part back , then he give me a quote for $ok , so I asked him if you don't have the parts number how did you had the quote? He couldn't answerso I asked him where do you guys buy the parts , he said they just closed about minutes ago, so I said really? I have dealing with this one hour people ??I have a service plan with this guys for almost one year, they have no sense of service, their technicians are trained to sell things not to fix anythingThe part only cost under $and they want $So I called customer service again, know she said we can get you in on Monday, I was like what? At this point I have had enough so I horizon services , they were very fast , professional and I paid way less This is why I thank the World Wide WebSo this will not happen to anyone up there I fired them and hire a very good service company HORIZON SERVICES
