September 2, Revdex.com of San Diego, Orange & Imperial Counties 0.0001pt;">RE: Revdex.com ID# [redacted] [redacted] American Residential Services of California, IncD/B/A ARS/Rescue Rooter (“ARS”) has received your email dated August 26, 2016, regarding the above-referenced complaint Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to respond On July 24, we responded to a service request at the property located at [redacted] ***Upon arrival, our service professional found the sewer line backing upAccordingly, Mr [redacted] was presented with written options and pricing to choose one of the following: · Option 1: Excavate in the rock area of the front yard, install a dual sweep cleanout, and cable the sewer drainA ten year warranty would be offered on our workmanship· Option 2: Hydro jet the line both upstream and downstream in addition to fulfilling the items in option one aboveA one year warranty would be offered on any backup of the lineMr [redacted] signed the contract to excavate in the rock area of the front yard, install a dual sweep cleanout, and to cable the sewer drain A permit was pulled and the work was completed as contracted with convenient same day serviceSubsequently, ARS returned on August 18, to back fill the hole created during the project Mr [redacted] requested whether we could perform additional work to extend the pipes, and he informed us that he would not pay for the work that we already completed Additionally, Mr [redacted] instructed us not to back fill the hole and to leave the property Accordingly, our personnel left the premises to honor Mr [redacted] ’s requestARS prides itself on providing premier customer service and appreciates your assistance in resolving this dispute If you require additional information regarding this complaint, please contact me directly at [redacted] Respectfully submitted, [redacted] Corporate Customer Relations Team Leader

ARS came out when the kitchen sink stopped draining in a home we had just moved into They tried to clear the clog but quickly quit and said they had hit dirt and that meant there was a break in the line They quoted us $10,to $17,in repairs to tear out the pipes and replace them We had no reason to believe that their assessment was wrong, so we said we'd get back to them and then started pursuing our home warranty company to cover some of the cost It looked like our warranty wasn't going to cover it, so we decided to get a few more quotes for tear outs A friend referred us to another plumber, however, who said he wanted to check it out himself and he cleared the drain, which had a bad clog, but was not, in fact, broken at all We even paid extra to have a camera confirm this, because we were so convinced it had been broken ARS was reluctant to refund the $they had charged us for camera work they had done that hadn't, obviously, confirmed a break, but did eventually refund us those charges If we hadn't been lucky enough to get a plumber out who was honest and competent enough to detect and fix our real problem, we would have paid ARS $10,minimum to fix a problem that didn't exist ARS never apologized for or explained why they had recommended such expensive and unnecessary repairs

ARS Rescue Rooter came to my house to snake my kitchen sewer line I requested a camera be sent down the line to ensure I had no additional issues (tree roots, build up, etc) Beecher P came to my house and began providing camera service to my sewer line pipe Beecher told me he located a tree root intrusion and that my sewer pipe was badly corroded and the line needed replacement Beecher wrote me a $9,estimate for the sewer line replacement After I obtained a second estimate from another plumbing company, a second camera inspection revealed ZERO ISSUES!! ARS IS A SCAM!
