Ordered a Bowie knife from them and sent me the WRONG one not once but TWICE!!!!!! Said they refund my money but I figured I’d keep the last knife they sent me. It was close to the one I ordered but NOT the one I ordered. Figured if I sent knife back there’d find a way to screw up my refund too. READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! You’ve been warned....

ordered *** knife about a month ago.keep getting runaround about its not built yet.contacted with email,same story.cant get them on phone,not answering emails.paid $99.99 dollars.just what my knife.

The customers order was cancelled due to invalid payment information after the order was placed. They have already been refunded in full and were notified of the refund.

I placed two orders with Battling Blades after finding their quality and prices outstanding options online. Through my interactions with the company, I found them to be professional, responsive and courteous.

The product from this company is garbage. There are only 5 star reviews. I submitted a 1 star review and it never was posted.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Horrible company, ordered a sword for my wedding, and waited over 2 months to never receive my sword. Cancelled order after several emails with Brian the contact for the company alluded to not knowing when the sword would be finished. The phone number listed for the company also is not valid. Called over 30 times and only ever got a voicemail. Shady company don't be fooled by the cheap prices.

I am an avid reader of Roman history and as such I became fascinated with the Roman legions. The legionary sword, the gladius, captured my attention. Wanting to own one, I searched the internet for a handmade replica. My search brought me to Battling Blades. I read the very positive reviews and decided to purchase one.I received the handmade sword a month later. This sword is exceptional. It is beautiful and screams quality and workmanship. The blade is sharp and a work of art. The included scabbard is solid leather and also exceptionally well made. The quality and value represented by this sword is astounding. This sword is worth three to four times what I paid for it, in my estimation. I would like to conclude my review by saying thank you to the blade smith. You have my respect and admiration.

The full story:

I ordered a Gurkha Kukri Knife on October 11, 2018. Didn't hear any updates on the order so I contacted them on 10/25. I received an email that said it would take another week or two assuring me that they would do their best to get it to me by Nov 2 (my requested due by date). The knife did not arrive by that date and so I followed up again and was told they were hoping to ship around a week late. I followed up again an November 19 after receiving no notification. I was told that there was a delay getting the sheath leather. I requested that they send me the knife itself and send the sheath later so and they agreed to do so on Nov 20. I followed up on Nov 26 and never got a response. I followed up again on Nov 28 and then received a response on Nov 29. I received the package on Dec 5 but it was the wrong knife. I requested a replacement. They acknowledge receipt of the returned item on Dec 28 and after that I never heard back from them. After several attempts I told them that if I didn't receive an update and tracking number for the replacement, I would seek full recovery of the payment from Paypal and posting negative reviews (January 8). The very next day, I received a full refund but never any communication from them.

Short Version:
I ordered a knife and after nearly 3 months, I had to threaten to get Paypal involved in order to get a response.

Do not order from this company.

We ordered a sword as a gift. Included express shipping. Tried calling them several times & no one answered the phone or returned our calls. Sent three or four emails & did not get a response until, we threatened legal action. Got an email saying they were out of stock. Asked if we wanted to wait, until they get around to it, or get a refund. Took the refund.

Thank you for your review. As listed on our website, the sword purchased was made to order. The customer was unaware and after we notified them, they asked to cancel.

I ordered a sword from this Company Jan. 29th. I also paid 11.99 for 2 day shipping. It is now February 12th. I have attempted to contact this company via email multiple times
No response and I still have not received my purchase, nor has it shipped. They took my money.

We must have accidentally clicked the spam button on your message in the past. Again, we are very sorry for this! Your package definitely should have arrived by now and the tracking has not even updated. Unfortunately we do not have it in stock and will have to remake it. Are you willing to wait or would you like a full refund? I have sent this same message to your email now that we see it.

The customer did not receive our items. They purchased and cancelled right away. We are located at the address listed on the website. They also asked a lot of questions about a listing on *** that is not from our store.

this website is a scam, don't buy from them. I bought 2 swords, received notification that a shipping label was created on 1/7/19. its been almost 2 weeks and order has not shipped. I emailed and brian said the order had shipped and on its way. he gave me BS answers for a week and blamed USPS. then said if its not resolved he will send 2 more swords to me. that was 7 days ago and he has refused to answer any of my emails since then. I simply called my credit card company and told them to cancel payment and they did. if youre looking for katana swords, go on Prime and get them in 2 days. I should have done this from the get go.

Thank you for your review! The customer received chose free shipping and received the swords less than a week after ordering. They filed a claim with their credit card company two days after ordering which they lost due to the package being shipped.

I ordered 2 stands on December 6th to be delivered before Christmas. When purchased, the estimated delivery was 12-17. I got my package 12-27. I had a feeling that I wasn’t going to get my package intime because they created the ship label on Dec. 10th and I saw zero activity on my tracking code via USPS and it was already the 18th so I emailed their customer service guy Brian F. He said “we just finished your order and expect to ship tomorrow.” And “it should arrive by Christmas.” Keep in mind I live only a few miles from their place and I could have picked it up or they could have hopped in a car and hand delivered it or paid uber to do so or something. It took them 3 weeks to deliver and they are the only company that I didn’t receive package on time and They had options to honor their end of the deal. I told them if it’s not shipped out tomorrow just cancel my order. Brian said you can reject the package when they bring it. This is the third time he lied to me! First they didn’t finish my order and ship it next day like he said, they didn’t until Dec. 27th!!! And it was delivered later on that day. It literally only took USPS a few hours to deliver my package so the hold up was 100% on Battling Blades end. The second lie was that I could reject the package, it didn’t require a signature so how could I reject it??? He must have thought I was stupid. The third lie was that they haven’t updated the shipping tracking history due to the busyness of the holiday but they can assure me USPS had my package. This was before he told me it’s done and will be shipped next day, which means he admitted that they never got the package because they never gave it to them. Besides getting lied to 3 times and not just admitting they messed up somewhere on their end, I never got an apology or refund of my shipping or anything when I emailed them telling them when I got it and I demanded they reconcile somehow. They stopped all communication with me and they don’t have a phone number anywhere online to call. I’ll never use this place again, horrible customer service, Unorganized, disrespectful and the quality of the product is just okay. I would return it but I don’t even want to deal with them anymore and I can’t trust I’ll even get my money back.

I initially ordered a knife from this site on 3rd of December and paid for two day shipping. I receive my first email from them on the following day thanking me for my order. My responding email to that was stating that I needed the delivery before Christmas being as it was a Christmas present. They responded back by saying it shouldn’t be any kind of problem. I told him if it was a problem let me know and they reassured me once more that it wouldn’t be. I followed up the next two weeks by checking in and asking if everything was still on schedule and they assured me that it was. I received another email stating that it would ship out on Thursday the 20th which would be the last possible day it could ship out and still make it to me before Christmas. The 20th came and went with no word or shipping information from them so I emailed him back and asked for a tracking number because I haven’t received one. They emailed me back and told me that it wasn’t finished and it didn’t ship and they were going to try to have it out sometime this week. I responded by telling them that I wasn’t happy with the situation and I waited for a response. I never received one so I emailed them again asking for my money back and I still have yet to receive a response.

We already refunded the customers order at his request. It was refunded on 12/22 and the customer was notified. His item was currently in production when he cancelled. Our website explains the process of handmade items and they take a bit of time to finish.

I am more than happy to forward the email thred I have with the owner of this company. It’s simple; I ordered a product from this company and specified I needed it by Christmas. They assured me numerous times that it would get to me by Christmas. I checked up on my account numerous times and asked if it would get to me by Christmas. Every time I asked them they assured me it would. This was bought as a present for someone else for a Christmas gift, not for myself. I gave the owner of the company numerous chances to tell me if it wouldn’t make it to me by the desired time and he said it would. If they are saying anything other than what I stated to you they are liars and I’ll be more than happy to prove them wrong with the emails that I have

I was told through emails, which I can provide a product was in stock and could be delivered by Christmas. Once I bought the product I was told it had to be made, which I now question if they even make hand craft their products after reading reviews, but it would still be here for Christmas. Now tracking has it here the 28th not in time for Christmas. I was misled twice just to get me to buy a product. Very disappointed as not only was I lied to but now have nothing to gift my father on Christmas day. I tried to leave a review on their site but it says they have to review it before it is posted. Maybe they will post it but I have my doubts.

I was guaranteed my product would be here for Christmas. I was told it was in stock. I was told it was shipped when it clearly was not. Is it also standard procedure to guarantee something and not follow through with it? I have attached screen shots of all this as proof. You can try to put it off on policy, but the fact is I was lied to numerous times to make a sale.

The website - Battlingblades.com - has dozens of products, all with rave reviews. After dealing with the company, I submitted a review of my own and discovered that they don’t allow anything but glowing reviews to be posted on their site. This constitutes fraud - after a little bit of research, it’s clear that most or all of their positive reviews are stock template responses, likely from company employees. If you look at non-employee reviews elsewhere - including the Revdex.com website - they are known for poor quality, poor service, and outright false claims that they make their merchandise themselves.

The customers, Mr., review violated our policies and the review policies of *** shopping which we follow. It included vulgar language which was rejected by our automatic review system. In addition, the customer attempted to submit multiple reviews to a variety of products they did not purchase. We have thereby banned the customer from our website, prompting this complaint. The customer returned the item and has been fully refunded.

We have a third party app that runs our review system. Since they are product reviews, they must include product information and cannot use vulgar language. We do not see reviews that are not posted but the app rejected the review but received a notice that the customers review was rejected due to these factors. When the customer attempted to submit a second review, it was flagged as an unverified duplicate review and the reviewers IP address and email are blocked from making further reviews in the system.

I am rejecting this response because: Again, I can provide screenshots of all direct communication with the business. If they are going to claim that multiple reviews were submitted from a single IP, and for multiple items, I am formally requesting proof - both that this happened in the first place, and that it came from me in particular. The burden of proof falls on the person making the claim, and I've already provided receipts for my side of the story. If they're unwilling or unable to do so themselves, there is no reason to delay the complaint further.

Incredible service that needs to be publicly commended. They made it extra fast for me and shipped within a few days. I needed it as an emergency gift when my planned gift was cancelled. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. The sword I purchased was a Damascus Gladius and it was even better than pictured. My brother absolutely loved it (it was a graduation gift). I strongly recommend the company for their customer service and product quality.

Way better than I could have hoped for. They did some customization for my handle and it came out absolutely perfect. I talked with the owner, Brian, quite a bit via email and phone and he was extremely helpful. He did a lot for the design and helped reduce the pricing as well. It came much faster than I expected for a custom blade. I also ordered a katana which was equally nice and that arrived only a day after I ordered it. I want to commend the customer service and quality of this company.

Ordered a gladius. It came fast and they had great customer service answering all my questions. The sword is perfect.

Ordered 2 swords from this company and I did receive them but not as described on the website. One sword (Katana) arrived bent and the hamon was etched not clay tempered, actually no temper at all on the blade and the sword is easily bent by hand so it's not 1095 high carbon steel either, Plus the sword was not damascus steel. I found the exact same katana I received from BattlingBlades for sale on Kult of Athena for $40. So I do not believe they "hand crafted" it at all. Description/specs for the katana on Kult of Athena is exactly the sword I received from BattlingBlades.
The second sword was supposed to be 2 hander but handle was only 6" long. I returned the second sword and was promised a new one would made with a longer handle but would have to wait for 8 weeks. Several months later I reach out to the company and was told the "new sword was sent out to me over a month ago didn't I receive it?" Yet no tracking # or emails were ever sent out like when I first placed my order with them. I would not recommend buying from this company.

I purchased a Katana from them a while back, I'll post the link to it down below to confirm the information. The Katana was said to be made of 1095 steel. This right of the bat I thought was unbelievable and should've known better. But even then they said it was clay tempered and heat treated. All this for only $80! But when I received the sword I came to realize that the hamon was etched on (fake) the steel could be bent (not treated) and was probably 1045 steel (lowest sword quality steel). The worst part is I found the exact same katana for sale on Kult of Athena for $40. So in essence they just upscaled the price on an already very cheaply made sword that was not handmade by them. I was looking for a proper battle ready sword, what I received was something that can barely qualify as a cutter. This is mostly my fault as I didn't know much about swords at the time, but I know quite a lot about katanas now. If anyone reading this is curious about battle ready swords please do your research before hand!
