ASAP Roofing (R) Reviews (107)

I am very sorry about the issues you have facedUnfortunately building code specifically states that all penetrable material is protected when hiddenThe gas line should have been below the rafters so this type of issue did not occurBuilding code also states that when we roof the property we
must use nails that are long enough to drive completely through the roof sheathing. Obviously with the line in the attic there is no way for the roofers to have known that it was their and done anything differently to avoid this problemThis is something your insurance company should cover under your law and ordinance coverage in your policyYou should speak with your agent about this matter

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: That was not a contract I asked for. Thomas never told me the price. Thomas has lied and I can't prove anything because it was all verbal. I told him things and he promised services and he denies it. I don't expect any resolution from ASAP and I don't want to be bothered anymore. I settle the account and am very disappointed how they conducted business. Again, I retract any expected refunds, but I do not retract my comments with worst costumer service I received
Sincerely,
Jaime ***

I am terribly sorry for the issues you have been having with water getting into your homeWe were hired to complete a roof project within the scope that your insurance *** approved and paid for*** requested for us to reuse all flashing so therefor the leaking flashing was not replaced and
their is no warranty on those items. Also *** did not pay to paint the flashing or ventsWe did a temporary repair to help eliminate water from coming into the home, however we advised that this was only a temporary solution and not a permanent fix

I do apologize if you had an unfavorable experienceCan you please tell me the name of the representatives so we can make sure and address the issue with them

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID The company has made repairs to the roof, and I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

I am rejecting this response because: It was my understanding I had no contract with ASAPThey came to my house and I told them I intended to get estimates before I would do business with anyoneI was not told I was signing a contract with themI would never do that without shopping aroundTheir pressure tactics are deceivingNo one in their right mind consent to a roofing job without shopping aroundThey never gave me that chanceThey were only at my house twiceMy insurance company advised me to get estimatesI told ASAP thatThey never explained to me I was signing a contractIf they had I never would have signed anything with themFurthermore, I have gotten the roof done at a better price and satisfied with the workThe company I used explained everything up front so I wasn't confused about anything and never asked for money until the job was doneConfusion is the main reason for this mess.
Sincerely,

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/12/01) */
We were never contacted at the officeAs soon as we were contacted which was by Facebook we had a repair crew out literally the next day

We have already resolved this issue with the home ownerI am very sorry for the inconveniences it caused

Thanks so much for responding at this time. My issue started on 8.30.16, several calls were made to the Irving, TX office, several calls were made to the Colorado office. I was told to send an email with my issue, and did do so on 9.8.16. Your response came almost days later, and only after contact was made with Revdex.com, but nonetheless, thanks for responding. You indicated that you are not sure how a date for work was scheduled without my knowledge. As stated in my complaint, the representative was told that we did not want any work occurring at our home while we were out of town. He was told we would be out of town, with no designated return date, and that we would make contact upon our return. That date was put in because the representative said he was "required" to put a specified date in and could not leave it open ended, but that work did not have to begin on that date and assured us that no work would be started while we were away. We have been without gas for heating water and air conditioning on the lower level of our home for days. Please do have the GM contact us and we will provide updated information on where we are in this lingering issue. Thanks Revdex.com

I am very sorry if you had a poor experienceWe strive to provide the utmost customer serviceThe issue here is very complicatedI do understand how you feel that you were missedI assure you that is not the intent and that will be addressed with *** immediatelyHowever once a customer
signs a contact with us it is our duty to mitigate any further damages on the property so we immediately sent a crew to protect the home so it did not start to form moldWe did receive the notice that you did not want to go forward with us as the contractor and we stopped all further actionsHowever the tarping had already been completedWe submitted our billing to your insurance and they have confirmed they have paid these funds to you for the work we completedThe balance due is accurate and should be paid in full to avoid additional costsWe confirmed with your insurance on June 9th that these funds were sent to youIf you have not received them we would be happy to get on a way call with your insurance to locate these funds and make sure they are paid by the insurance company and that you are not coming out of pocket to cover these expenses

I do apologize if there was any miscommunication about our processYes it is true that the contract is binding before the insurance company has a chance to inspect the property so that is why it very clearly states that it is not binding if the insurance company does not approve the roofSo you
are not obligated if the insurance doesn't payAlso you mentioned someone advised you there would be extra charges for a second layerYes that would be the case if you have layers of roofing, however most insurance companies cover this expense as wellAs far as your mention about speaking to multiple people I am sorry that is the case and does happen when you call into the officeHowever your project managers are *** and *** and both of them have noted they have tried to get in touch with you to schedule your new roof instillation

We are required to use nails that completely penetrate the roof decking in order to meet the manufacturer installation guidelinesThis is done for the absolute best protection from wind damage and if this is not followed a warranty claim for wind damaged shingles would be voidWe often times see that new construction builders do not follow the same rules are re-roofing contractorsThe roof we installed is build to the highest building code and manufacturer standardsI am sorry for the loss of the $but you really should be able to get that paid by your insurance or the previous AC company who installed the system without shielding the gas line

I am rejecting this response because:

I am rejecting this response because: Asap's sales rep and manager *** confirmed to me that the color I chose was HOA approvedI.asked him twice to make sure and he said yes they are HOA approved twiceAlso I'm asking for the return of the money because my check was cashed with two missing signatures on it, the mortgage company and the signature of my husband wasn't on it but the check was cashed anyhowI handed out my check because *** former manager of ASAP ROOFING told me that they have such services at ASAP ROOFING, that they could mail my check out to the mortgage company for me but they never received the check and never got it backAlso I was promised to recieve my deposit of $back which was denied to me but later told the mortgage company employee *** that they tried to put it back on my card but that I have refused itThis is not true! Also *** promised me on a phone conversation that ASAP ROOFING would take care of any issues if the shingle color turns out to be wrongHe also told me that he was sure that I had the right colorsHe promised to send it to me in writing but never did soI had the speaker phone on and my husband and friend could hear the conversationThank you for your quick response but I cannot accept to walk away as if nothing happened.
Sincerely,

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: I am not in agreement with the final cost, and I believe this merits a face-to-face meetingI have yet to receive an itemized bill, for the final invoice, in order to assess exactly what materials, and services I'm being billed forThe only itemized invoice I received was the first oneWhen the work was finally completed, this past July, I met with representatives, *** and ***, respectivelyThe additional reason for the extended delay is, I had to continually ask for an invoice to be mailed to me, so that I would have a physical copy.As for the phone system, the incidents were not isolated, and happened many timesAlso, the lien states that ASAP has been trying to reach me, and I have not responded; that's what I'm disputingAs the consumer, I have a right to this information, and to be in agreement with what is being charged, prior to making paymentI've responded with calls, and emailsMy emails were never responded to, however, I have all of them for documentationThe 'rude' representative in question is, *** ***.I would still like to meet, so that this may be solved, respectfully, as I do not want to counter sue, when you do place this lien
Sincerely,
*** ***

I'm sorry but it looks like this was already addressed with *** *** the general managerIf there is something more that needs done please let us know

I am very sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the quality of workI do show that we made some repairs in march and the roof has passed city inspection so I'm not sure what might be wrong with the flashing since it meets city codeIs it possible for you to send us some pictures of what it
is you are not happy with?

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/13) */
I am sorry that you are unhappy, but the flashing is required by city codewe can not remove itThat would void any warranty on the roof and expose you to potential fines from the cityIf the paint has faded we could repaint it again but that
would be the only option available
please call our office at XXX XXX-XXXX and we can get that scheduled for you

I am very sorry to hear that you have not had a positive experienceWe work hard to provide quality productCan you please provide some photo's of the damage so we can see exactly what was "broken"

The contract does provide a hour notice to terminate the agreementIf you texted the rep within hours can you please provide a screenshot of this?
