Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Since this complainant has retained legal representation, we cannot connect with them directlyHer attorney was sent a release on 09/by the adjuster and then again on 12/the adjuster did follow up this time to ensure the release was received.Unique is now waiting to receive the completed release form to move this claim forward.Thank you, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Even if that was the case I spoke with several agents at this location and all indicated that everything was okay and all I needed was to send in the following documentationsThe last person I spoke with was very rude and nasty stating well we saved you money anyway you could've paid more then what you didIf there where going to deny my claim how come it took over an month to inform me of there decision whereas though I continued to pay out o pocket for a rental they know I was not going to get reimbursed for that is my argument when I have been keeping in contact with them frequently Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:It took this company months to "get around" to rejecting the claim along with me calling 3-times per week and leaving countless voice mailsThe only time I received any correspondence was after I called the VP [redacted] and and left messages in her voice mailI never did get a return call from herJust because a company responds to a Revdex.com complaint and pays their dues doesn't entitle them to an A ratingThe rating should be based on the content and amount of complaints they receiveThis company has a history of this type of practice and shouldn't even be allowed to operate Sincerely, [redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to reply to this complaint.While Unique apologizes for the lag in resolving this claim, we have been in the process of fully investigating this claimOur adjuster has reached out to the complainant and left a message for him to return the callWe have affirmed what he has already indicated to our office: He is of the opinion that our insured gave information as to the circumstances surrounding the loss and that he would seek recovery through small claims.We have advised we would protect our insured interests regarding any litigation filed against him regarding the matter but we can not voluntarily pay the complainant claim for damages as to the dispute of liability.We are looking to resolve this claim in an expedient mannerAgain, we apologize for the lack of communication.Thank you, [redacted]

While we are continuing to investigate this claim and have not yet had a chance to contact the insured or the undisclosed driver; I am not completely sure that the complainant is aware of our policy.We are making every effort to reach our insured to resolve the coverage issue, however, if we do not receive any word from our insured, per our policy, we can deny the claim due to breach of contract by the insured; to be sure, this is not our ultimate goalWe understand the complainant's frustration but we must speak with our insured to ensure we fully investigate the coverage issueWe are sure the complainant would want their company to do the same if the shoe was on the other foot.Lastly, the IL Department of Insurance allows for a guideline of days to complete the resolution of a claim and Unique is currently within this guideline.Thank you again, [redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to reply to this complaint.Per the adjusting team, this insured had two claims to which there was some confusion in the explanation of her rental reimbursementOur team did extend her rental in a combination of both claims but maxed it out on one then paid a portion on the other claimThe insured was under the impression she would receive the same amount for both claims, which is not the caseShe, in fact, received three checks from Unique for her rental reimbursement, two for one claim and one for the other claimOn 05/04/17, a check was issued for the supplemental estimateThis check could not have been issued if it were not for an estimate by our appraisersRest assured, a supplemental estimate was issued and our physical damage department will discuss the insured's statement here with the body shop owners to see what was said.At this time, Unique Insurance considers this claim closed.Thank you,Nick [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: when my car was in the accident I called Unique insurance so my car could be tow from the accidentThey gave me a tow number for me to call someone and when I call him he told me that he doesn't tow no one in the suburbsHe own deal with downtown Chicago ILSo my car had to be put in the pound for hoursI had to pay about $plus $for my car to come out of the pound and tow to my house Sincerely, [redacted]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/05/06) */ In Response to Ms[redacted] complaint Mr[redacted] called in to report damages to his vehicle from my insured Ms[redacted] accident happen on 4/3/2015,Called Ms[redacted] to get account of what happen to cause the accident.Assigned Mr[redacted] to a shop to inspect vehicle for damagesInsured [redacted] sent in estimate from JM auto repairMr[redacted] called in about the status of his claimAdvised need statement from my insured Ms[redacted] , Ms[redacted] was returning calls regarding accident.Once I made the call to insured [redacted] left voice message.Finally contacted Ms[redacted] informed estimate will be faxed to the shop and payment will be processed.Now Awaiting for Mr[redacted] to accept the offer for his damages

Overall, the complainant has been advised to take her vehicle back to [redacted] for repairs to the trunk and gas doorAt this time, Unique continues to stand by our appraiser review that the oil leaking is due to betterment, which is not accident relatedThis has been explained to the complainant on several occasionsA team supervisor contacted the complainant via phone and spoke with her explaining the situation and our stance againHe also explained to her that if the oil leak issue occurred at the body shop, as she suggests, this would be a separate claim and she would have to pay another deductibleHe also explained to her that the burden of proof that this occurred at the shop or with the tow truck would be on herHe notes in the claim notes that she understood.It seems that our field appraiser did not contact the body shop to notify them that she would return with her vehicle and about the issues to be consideredWe apologize for this oversightUnique staff has since contacted the shop about her vehicle.Thank you, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Sincerely, [redacted] *** yes they pay for days in rental and they have agree to pay an extra days for rental I am going into days and counting and still can not get a date on when my car will be fixed they going to pay for days I will be paying for days and counting cause I still have not receive the carMy deductible is $plus the tire they are charging me for $I work in a factory and do not make a lots of money they are draining my money, and they do not understand how I feel and why I feel this waywe are in June this is from April

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Unique issued a release form in 09/for the claimant to signThe Unique adjuster explained to the claimant's [redacted] agent that we were offering 75% of the estimate due to the sudden stopWe issued the release form on 09/28/On 10/01, our adjuster spoke with the agent again because the complainant retrieved higher estimatesOur physical damage department rewrote the estimate using prices negotiated with our preferred vendor shops and like kind and quality partsThis is why the difference in the estimatesThe agent then told our adjuster that he would call her back with a decision and that is the last note we have in our fileThere is no record of a return call.At this point, we will have an adjuster follow up with this claim to ensure a speedy resolution.If there has been a lack of communication, Unique apologizes for the errorWe will move the claim forward and hope to find a good common ground for this claim.Thank you, [redacted]

A Unique adjuster contacted the body shop to see the status of the repairs this morningPer the claim notes, the vehicle is in the paint department and prepped for paintingHoping to have the vehicle done by Friday, after painting, the core support will be put in; the body shop only received it last week as it was on back orderThe date the body shop received the vehicle was the week of 6/There was a lot of damage to this vehicle and the shop completed supplemental work on the vehicle as wellThis vehicle is a so parts take longer to be delivered and are more difficult to find.Overall, the shop is looking to complete the vehicle by Friday and while this date is not set in stone, it is a goal date that the shop is aiming for at this time.Thank you, [redacted]
