I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed are attached and I had also sent you a copy in the mail.
Assured Equity informed me on May 26 that my case is closed and would not respond to my question to provide me with the name of the Federal Entitlement program that my mortgage company is suppose to adhere to. They also did not respond to my informing them that following their advice to skip payments did not result in the balloon payment issue being resolved--it just gave me a bad credit report. In addition, they accused this Revdex.com of being expelled from being operational in the Los Angeles area and also referred me to a video on You Tube to watch. (see attachment)  I listened to their voice mail on June 19 and [redacted] informed me that they will not come to any kind of agreement unless I remove the negative comments from your website.  I will not remove any negative comments unless I receive a full refund.

Our quality control department has reached out to the client and explained the importance of following the protocol in order to obtain a loan modification with the bank.
Sometimes the banks are having questions about the case or more work is necessary to obtain the loan modification, and we do appreciate if the home owner is serious to retain their home ownership.
As per the latest conversation with the client, they did agree to submit the requested documents to the bank so we can determine what steps are necessary to finalize the loan modification

In response to this message:
This client has not expressed any concerns about the quality of our services by phone or email, so we are surprised to receive this message via the Revdex.com.
The client has even send 2 referral clients to us so he must be satisfied with...

our services.
Also, this client has not fulfilled his obligations related to payment for our services, so basically he is now in breach of contract.
We have contacted the client again today on 02/20/15 and left a voicemail.
If he has questions about his case, he can contact us so we can get this resolved.

Our quality control department has reached out to the client and left a voicemail to find a solution for this case.
If the client does not contact us bank again, there is really not much we can do.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: we were looking to refinance our house and to have a modification loan I spoke with [redacted] at this business several times and was sent numerous e mail from him stating what our new house payment would be and that their would not be a problem getting this type of loan and that all the information we had sent him that we would qualify for a modification loan well after sending his company 1600.00 he sent us paperwork to send to our curent home loan lender after speaking with them and sending paperwork back and fourth I asked when will the money we sent [redacted] company be included in our first house payment on our new loan well then things started falling apart [redacted] said they had never heardof this company and that they do not work with them after I looked them up a second time to verify they were a legit company I had seen they did the same thing to others and they also stopped calling them and refused to give back their money needless to say we did not qualify for a modification loan and that their was no way possible due to our income and payments that we made on time.I have not heard from this company for over a month thru e mails and phone calls I did check them out before we sent them any money and at the time their were nothing that said they were not a legit company I hope their is someone who can shut these people down before they take someone elses hard earned moneyDesired Settlement: I would like to get ourmoney back.at least as much as possible.this was nothing but a scam and they took money from people who work 2 jobs just to make ends meet.we are now out of 1600.00 in which my wife and I worked weekends and 2 jobs to be able to receive this loan just to have someone who said he would help us with our problem just take our money for doing nothing.I have all the emails he sent and I sent back if you need them.thank you for your time !!

Review: In January 2015, Assured Equity Counseling sent me notices in the mail that there was a new President Obama Mortgage Modification program to assist home owners with getting rid of the balloon payments that the HAMP modification program had allowed mortgage companies/bankers to tack on the end of our mortgages. I contacted Assured Equity Counseling and spoke with a [redacted], Certified Compliance Mgr at 949-[redacted]. He spoke to me for a good hour about a new “Federal Entitlement” program that would get rid of the balloon payment on my mortgage, that the mortgage companies had to abide by it and that after they received my Modification package then they have 30 - 45 days to comply. He also added that my new mortgage payment would probably start the following month so I had at least a month of mortgage payments that I could “miss” and use to pay their $1600 fee. As days went by I also spoke with a [redacted], Director (949-[redacted]) and a [redacted], Sr. Underwriter (949-[redacted], ext [redacted]).

Unfortunately, after I provided my Financials and paid their $1600 fee and received my Mortgage package to submit to my Mortgage company, then it became more difficult to get a hold of either [redacted] or [redacted]. I was shuttled through to a Customer Service rep who would direct me to get a commitment from the Mortgage company that they assigned someone to my case or to contact the Loss Mitigation department and demand a response.

It is now May 20, 2015, my credit is in the toilet from being late with my mortgage payments and my mortgage assures me there is no such “Federal Entitlement” program—so at this point all I want is a refund of the $1600 I paid.Desired Settlement: $1600 Refund of my monies and letters to the Credit Bureaus.

Hello [redacted], We tried again to contact our previous customer [redacted] to reach an amicable solution for a refund, however she hang up the phone again. I think from our side we have tried to resolve the situation in good faith, however if the client is not interested to further communicate, there is not too much we can do. Internally we are closing this case and there is really not much we can do for this client Thank you for understanding[redacted]

Review: I contacted this company and they assured me that they would resolve my issue with Bank of America. I paid $3000.00 and NOTHING happened. Now they won't even return my emails or phone calls. I have left several. I have been dealing with this for over a year. I want my $3000.00 back for failure to do what they said they would do.Desired Settlement: Since Assured Equity is not producing a resolution or communicating with me, I would like a full refund so that I can move forward on my own!!

Review: Contacted Assured Equity based on advertisement received through the mail to lower your interest rate. Upon phone contact, I discovered that I might qualify for a loan modification because I had an adjustable rate mortgage and lived in an area of declining house values. I was told to submit docs for review and if they thought my case would meet the government requirements, I would need to pay a service fee that I would get back if my loan modification was denied. The company was clear that once they accept your case most loan modifications are accepted by the bank. After 3 months and a lot of documentation with my mortgage company, I was denied my request for loan modification based on no history of payment default and income that exceeded the required limits. I contacted Assured Equity, who requested that I forward them the denial letter, which I did. Then they asked me to get additional info from the lender which I also did. Now after all that they are claiming they will not give me my money back unless I continue to request a QWR from the lender. They wrote the QWR letter on my behalf to sign. The letter is very accusatory to the lender for violations that I do not believe occurred, I am concerned because I want my $1,675 that I paid for the loan modification assistance. I have since spoken with a foreclosure attorney who explained that loan modifications are only accepted by lenders in cases of payment default, which Assured Equity would have know before accepting my case in the first place (before I made payment).Desired Settlement: I would like the $1675 that I was told I would be refunded if my loan modification was not accepted by the lender.

Business

Response:

In response to this case; it is against the law for the lender to only grant a loan modification if the home owner is behind on their mortgage. Based on this, the lender is not following the protocol and we will further investigate why the home owner was not granted the modification yet.

Review: Money paid. They did not do what they said they would do. What they offered did not happen. Phones disconnected. No replies from emails. I received a letter in the mail from this company about a mortgage reduction. I called them and gave the information they requested. They said I qualified and we began the application process. sent them an initial payment of $850.00 and we began the process. The stated to me that if I was not approved that their lawyers would go to court for me and that the Mortgage companies have lost their battles for trying to deny the mortgage reduction. We went through the application process. They told me not to pay my monthly mortgage because the payments would not be necessary because a new mortgage would be issued. It took forever for this application to be processed and many months went by. Upon completion of all the paperwork they wanted the final payment of $650.00. I sent it in. They said they would pay the money transfer fee of $45.00 and never did. After the proposal was sent to the mortgage company I was put in forclosure. My contact phone numbers and email addresses given to me were no longer in service. I believe I am a victim of fraud.Desired Settlement: All money I paid is refunded with interest.

Review: I received information in the mail letting me know I would qualify for a loan modification. I contacted Assured Equity and went over my situation. I was assured I would qualify and if I didn't I would get my money back. Bank United (mortage holder) denied my request for a loan modification. I have been in contact with Assured Equity and no one gets back to me. At this point, I don't want the loan modification I just want my money back ($1,600). Bank United explained to me I am not eligible for a loan modification therefore, Assured Equity should refund my money as they promised to deliver a service and have not delivered.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $1600.00 I paid.

Review: Review: I was solicited by this company to lower the interest rate of my current mortgage and also decrease the principle due to a new lower amount due. I was told that they could guarantee that they could provide this service even after I told them that my Chapter 13 would be discharged in February of 2015. This company also stressed that it needed me to make my decision soon, because the modification guidelines were changing. I expressed that I did not have the extra money. The representative assured me that when the loan was approved I would have a 30 day grace period before having to start my new mortgage payment. I made the payment to this company which was $1250.00. My bank denied the loan modification. After receiving a letter that my mortgage modification was denial, this company had sent me through email new paperwork to resubmit to my bank for approval. Before sending the paperwork, I reviewed everything and noticed they were still referencing my monthly payment for my bankruptcy. I contacted the representative and brought it to her attention, by submitting this new paperwork, my modification would be denied again. I paid Assured to help us with the paperwork to improve our chances with a loan modification and expected a professional performance. By submitting the paperwork that was forwarded to me, I would have been left with much frustration, a long delay of response from mortgage company to end with another denial. I contacted the company several times to get resolution. I finally requested a refunded. Over 60 days passed and I never heard back from anyone regarding a refund. Today, in the mail I received a letter indicating that they could no longer help me. This company solicited me and then badgered me to allow them to help me reduce my mortgage payment and principle. This company did not provide the service it claimed it could do. I am one month behind on my mortgage and expect a refund.Desired Settlement: I feel I should at least get half of the $1250 I paid this company.

Review: I was approached by this company via mail in July of 2014 promising that they could lower my monthly mortgage payments with the new government loans. I spoke with them over the phone and was qualified for the program. I informed the person I spoke with that I had already had a loan modification, but was assured that since our financial situation was changed that I could qualify under the new rules. I paid them $1250 for the services. After two denials by my mortgage company, I asked for a refund of my money. My mortgage company said that I couldn't reapply as I already had a modification and this company had assured me that it wouldn't matter. I felt that they had misrepresented themselves and that they owed me a refund. I was referred to their compliance department. They sent a package asking me to request copies of all my documents from the mortgage company which I received last week. I am unable, now, to reach the company. Their phone numbers are no longer in service.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back from the company as they should have known that I would be denied by the mortgage company. I am struggling to keep up with payments due to their misrepresentation.

Review: We obtained this company's service because they told us, which I have recorded conversations, that our Mortgage company had to comply with the Government's Mortgage modification programs, if we proved them with the documentation. They prepared the documentation for us to submit. In fact, because they provided more than the information that our Mortgage Company required, which they should have known, since we asked if they had a relationship with this Mortgage Company, they said yes, we were denied. We have their sales, and other staff on recorded telephone conversations telling us this. Then when we asked for help they changed there story.Desired Settlement: Refund in full for the services in the amount of $3100.00 back to our checking account. Or we will pre sue this legally and disclose all email interactions which verify what we have mentioned above as well as our recorded conversations, which state "your mortgage company has no choose, and you will get a modification, no doubt."

Review: Received advertisement Assured Equity Counseling could assist with a loan modification program to address underwater homeowners due to dropping home values. Huge cost to participate in these programs with promise to work for restructure of your mortgage and settlement in full of HELOC. Notifications from company were written as if homeowner was approved for modification. In the end the prepared application was denied by bank and we were notified to beware of third party scams as these services are not necessary to work for a modification. Company demonstrated false advertising and empty promises by collecting funds for said services with no positive end result. This is a company who preys on homeowners when they near or at a ultimate low.Desired Settlement: Refund of $2500 for fees paid to provide services full of empty promises and false advertising.
